The next day came all too fast for the exhausted lovers. Angel and Willow had experienced something last night that no one else ever had. The love that they shared could never be broken and never be taken away from them. Now, hours later, Angel was lying on his back while Willow's head rested on his chest. They both dreaded moving, but they knew they had too. They had to go and check up on the two people that tried to destroy their lives. If it wasn't for the fact that Buffy was a human and she needed to be released they wouldn't bother moving at least for another day because Dracula could go at least a day or two without feeding.

Angel looked down at his red head, he didn't want to bother her, but he knew it would be night soon and they needed to go. "Willow, baby, are you ready to get up?" Angel asked as he began to stroke her hair.

"No, but I know we have to," she spoke quietly as she began to run her hands up and down his chest making him jump a little. After about ten more minutes of them still lying in one spot Angel spoke again.

"Baby, you know if we keep this up we won't make it out of here today," He joked.

"Mmmm.you act like that's a bad thing," Willow answered.

"No, but we have to find out what happened last night. Something sure did, and I'm betting that Buffy and Dracula had something to do with it."

"I think they had something to do with it too. I just wanted to forget about them.for now," Willow spoke as she finally moved off of him and walked into the bathroom to take a shower. She really wanted to know what happened last night, more than Angel thought, it was weird, but she loved every minute of it and she doubted that he was complaining about their encounter last night. One thing was on her mind, she just didn't understand why her ex best friend would go through so much just to take her away from Angel. Willow knew he was a handsome man and an extremely talented lover, but she didn't break them up, so why did Buffy have to take it so hard. She shook the thought as she walked into the bathroom and turned on the water in the shower. After a couple of seconds Willow tested the water and got in.

The water was almost soothing her mind and she needed that because she knew once they got back to the room where Buffy and Dracula were, there was a fight and argument waiting to happen. Willow began to wonder why the spell happened two days early. It shouldn't have happened until tomorrow, so why did she feel so much more powerful today? It was all just too weird for her.

As she dipped her head under the water, she was startled when the shower door opened. "Willow, I've called you at least 10 times." Angel said, almost in a panic. "Is something wrong?"

"No...I'm sorry, I didn't hear you, baby. I guess I was thinking too much."

Angel moved her up a bit and stepped into the shower behind her. He knew that something had to be bothering her or something had to be wrong. After the tenth call, he thought something had happened to her and he rushed to the bathroom.

"What's on you mind, baby?" he asked as he took the washcloth from the small rack in the shower and began to lather it with soap.

"Nothing," she replied as he began to wash her back.

After Angel didn't reply he just finished bathing her, then he placed the washcloth back on the rack and turned her to face him.

"Don't lie to me baby. Please tell me, what's wrong?"

Willow thought about it for a second then stumbled out, "Why.why?"

"Why what?"

"Why did I have to be served to the enemy by my used to be best friend? I never did anything to anyone. I knew Buffy would be mad, but it's not like I took you way from her or tried to talk to you while you two were dating."

"I don't know why she is taking it so hard baby. I should be the one that is being punished," He told her.

"Why should you be?" She asked.

"I used to think about you all the time when I was with her," he confessed.

"If I hadn't done that damn spell, then you would never have come to me and none of this would have ever happened," she spat out.

"Probably not, but the point is that you did, I came and now we are together and will be for eternity."

"But," Willow started to comment but was cut off by him.

"But nothing, Willow. I love you and you love me. The spell you did only made us show each other how we really felt on the inside. It was meant for us to be together. Not Buffy and me, but you and me."

"I understand."

"So don't beat yourself up over it. What's done is done and we are together and that's all that matters. Right?"

"Right," she finally smiled as Angel pouted a little to make her laugh.

Angel smiled as he looked into his lover's eyes and bent down and kissed her. Angel didn't intend for it to intensify like it did the minute he walked into the bathroom and saw that she was all right. He wanted to take her, but he waited because he knew something was on her mind. Willow groaned as he pulled her closer to him.

Angel pushed Willow up against the bathroom wall never breaking the kiss. He bent down and was getting ready to lift Willow up until they heard a knock on the bathroom door.

"Who is it?" Angel snapped already knowing the only person that would come into his room.

"It's me, Cordelia. I need to talk to you two."

"I knew it," Angel snapped.

"Angel behave," Willow giggled as she turned the water off.

"Ok, we'll be out," he responded.

Angel looked at Willow, knowing what she wanted, because he wanted the same thing.

"I am going to kill her," Angel said. "We are going to finish this later."

"Promise. Now, let's see what the problem is," Willow said as she kissed him one last time and got out of the shower.

After getting dressed, they walked out of the bathroom and into the front room where Cordelia was.

"What is it Cordy?" Angel asked still not too pleased with being interrupted.

"Giles just called and said that Buffy was back in Sunnydale and she is slaying."

Angel looked at Willow, both in a panic. They couldn't have heard her right.

"It can't be. Are you sure he said Buffy?" Willow asked, still not believing it.

"Duh. I know Giles knows Buffy, and he said that she was back to her old self," Cordelia explained.

"Thanks Cordy. Sorry to ask you to leave, but we have to go and check something," Angel told her.

"Wait, before you go, Wesley and I found out about that prophecy."

"What about it?" He asked.

"Well, it was about you and Willow..well mostly about Willow and Dracula," she corrected. "Dracula wanted Willow, but mostly he wanted her powers, if he would have gotten them, he would have been unstoppable."

"What powers?" Angel asked.

"Willow, didn't you receive your gift or feel something different last night?" Cordelia asked.

"Yes, I felt it when Angel and Dracula were fighting," Willow explained. "I felt it up to this morning."

"Let's just say you are more powerful than you think you are at this moment," Cordelia told her.

"Okay Cordy, but what does this have to do with me?" Angel asked.

"You are Willow's mate and will be for all eternity. Anyway, the spell that Willow did had a loophole, if that's what you call it. Last night the spell was intensified by Willow receiving all her powers, if you two would have resisted last night's temptations, the spell would have been broken. That was your second chance to break it, but since you didn't, I am going to be afraid to be around you two when it happens."

"What do you mean, Cordy?" Willow asked.

"Let's just say that by tomorrow night you, Willow, better drink a lot of water..on the other hand maybe it should be you Angel," Cordelia warned.

"I don't drink water," he explained.

"Well you better get some back up blood."

"Ok...I think I understand,"

"Gotta go now, I`ll see you two the day after tomorrow," Cordelia explained as she headed out the door.

"Bye Cordy," they both said in unison.

They waited til Cordelia walked out the door before looking at each other.

"Baby, it can't be," Willow said. "I know we left her. She probably could have gotten out. But what about Dracula?

"I know, Willow," Angel told her as they walked back to the room.

"How long before night?" She asked.

"Five minutes," He answered.

"Ok, lets get something to eat, then we have to go," Willow explained.

After a long five-minute wait, Angel and Willow got into his car and drove back to the hotel where they left Buffy and Dracula.

Upon walking into the room it would seem that no one had entered the room, as ordered. Then they looked at the bed Buffy had been tied to.

"Baby, do you see that?" Willow asked as they walked up to the bed.

"Yes, it looks like she broke the chain."

They walked to the connecting room.

"Shit, he's gone too," Willow cursed herself for not having a good enough hold on him.

"No baby, he's still here," Angel said.

"How do you know that? Can you feel him?" Willow asked feeling panic rise up.

"No..that," Angel pointed to the pile of ashes on the floor with a stake beside it.

"You think Buffy would have?" Willow asked.

"Without a doubt."

"Let's go, baby, and find out what's going on here," Willow said almost pulling Angel out of the room.

Arriving back home, Willow and Angel ran up the stairs of the hotel, neither of them knowing what to make of the whole ordeal. Dracula was dead and Cordelia had told them Buffy was back in Sunnydale. They needed to know what was going on and what was Buffy up to.

Angel went to the phone to call Giles. He had to hear for himself that Buffy was in Sunnydale and not somewhere in LA watching them.

"Hello," Giles answered from the other end of the phone.

"Rupert, this is Angel," he tried to sound casual.

"Hello Angel. Is there something I can do for you?"

"Yes, I need to..I need to know, is Buffy back?"

"Yes, she came earlier this morning and told me how sorry she was for the way she acted with you two. She really wanted to make it up to you, no tricks this time."

"I don't think so," Angel cut in.

"I understand, but at least give it another chance."

"If you knew what she did to us last night, you wouldn't agree to another chance," Angel explained.

"I do, but just think about it," Giles tried to get them to look at the big picture in this.

"Ok, I'll talk to Willow and see what she says. Thank you, Giles. Well, keep in touch."

Angel looked at Willow's tear filled eyes and asked him what was wrong. He hung up the phone and explained what Giles had just told him. Upon finishing, Willow was now crying, laying in Angel arms.

"I can't go through this all over again," Willow told him as he rocked her, trying to calm her down. After Willow was asleep, Angel laid her down in the bed, stripped and got in next to her. He usually didn't sleep this time of the night, but he wanted to be with Willow.

***

Around four in the morning Willow and Angel were awakened by a noise downstairs. They both jumped up when they heard a loud crash.

"Angel," Willow called as he got dressed.

"Stay here," he ordered.

"But," she tried to protest.

"But nothing, stay here," he said.

Angel walked to the door as Willow put on some jeans. As soon as he opened his bedroom door, Buffy came flying in with a stake, lodging it in Angel, just missing his heart.

"Angel," Willow screamed not paying any attention as Buffy ran up to her, knocking them both to the floor.

Buffy grabbed Willow around the neck squeezing with all her strength.

"Buffy..stop," Willow cried, she didn't want to hurt her used to be best friend. When Willow had no other choice, she looked at Buffy as her eyes began to turn black as night, but before she had a chance to do anything Buffy was pushed off of her.

Willow stood, looking over to see Angel still on the ground. She looked over to where Buffy had fallen to find Giles placing her in what looked like slayer strength handcuffs.

"Giles," Willow called.

"Yes Willow, now go and take care of Angel," he said as he locked the cuffs around Buffys wrist.

Willow ran to Angel, checking the wound. He had pulled out the stake, but it looked like pieces where left in him.

"Willow," he tried to speak, but she stopped him.

Willow placed her hands over the wound and began to chant. Angel could feel the wood disappearing and the hole closing up.

Willow moved her hand to find that the wound had healed and Angel was able to get up.

At that time Giles was picking up a screaming Buffy.

"What happened, Giles?" Willow asked, "How did you know?"

"I followed her here after I watched her fight a vampire a couple of hours ago. She looked a little worked up so I followed her to an alley and a woman walked out. I guess the woman startled her. Buffy staked the women several times. I think she did it mostly because she had red hair like yours, Willow. She looked down at the woman and I heard her call out your name, then took off running. I assumed she would come here. I didn't have time to call, in an effort to get here before her," he explained as they walked down the stairs.

"You had good timing," Angel told him.

Willow watched Buffy as she finally calm down and sat on the couch where Giles put her. Giles asked if he could use the phone to call the council to pick her up.

Willow watched as Buffy sat on the couch unmoving, as if she was dead.

"What will happen to her?" Willow asked as Giles hung up the phone.

"She will go to England where she will be put on trial. I doubt she will get out anytime soon."

Willow walked up to Buffy and said, "Sorry it had to be like this."

Buffy finally looked up and laughed at Willow's apology. "I'm not," Buffy spat.

Willow walked off and sat where Angel was. Three hours later, Giles helped the council put Buffy in the car. He told Willow and Angel farewell, as he too would go, to testify against her.

They closed door and headed upstairs.

"Well, what do we do now, baby?" Angel asked.

"Now I can sleep. How about that first, then can we go on a trip far away from here where I can do any and everything I want to do to you and no one will hear you scream?" Willow joked.

"Mmmm.sounds like a good plan, but if I have to scream there, you have to scream here," Angel told her as he grabbed her up over his shoulder and took her upstairs and showed her just what type of screaming he wanted her to do.
