The Arrival

Angel had left Willow on Sunday morning, promising to return the
following Friday night. They had talked again about her moving with
him to L.A and both agreed it would be best to inform the rest of the
gang about their relationship  after she had  graduated.
<Only a couple of months Willow, then you can be with Angel and wake
up next to him every morning> she told herself happily. And now here
she was patrolling with his ex girlfriend having to pretend like
nothing special was happening in her life.

How could she sleep with Angel and then be around Buffy, acting like
everything was fine and dandy. Willow needed someone to share her
thoughts with, mainly about her sexual experiences with Angel. She
needed someone to confide in, to express all her hopes and dreams,
she needed her best friend. But she knew that Buffy would not be able
to handle her best friend suddenly falling in love with her ex and
vise versa.

"So Will's I missed you the last couple of days. What have you beeb
up too?" Buffy asked innocently.

<Think Willow> "Oh, yeah,  remember that cold I  told you about. It
kinda had me out of it for the last couple of days but I feel much
better now." <Yeah right,  like I can tell her I spent the last six
days screwing her ex into oblivion> she snickered.

"That's good. So, you up for some more patrolling?"

"Yeah I'm ready. Lets rock and roll". Willow replied a little too
happily.

They walked through town and finally ended up sitting in the cemetery
gossiping, while they waited patiently for any new vamps to rise and
go in search of a people snack.

"So you want to go to the bronze afterwards Willow?"

"No...not tonight.  I have homework to finish."

"Homework on a Sunday night. You running kinda late this week huh?
You usually finish all your work  by Friday night. That's the
studious Willow Rosenberg I know and love," she teased.

<Yeah right. Its kinda hard to focus on a history paper when you have
a naked  ngel in your room, doing wicked things to you with his very
talented tongue. Kinda had me pre-occupied there Buff> Willow thought
for a second or two before saying, "Yeah that cold really took a lot
out of me."

They sat there for another thirty-minutes before deciding that (no
pun intended), it really was dead. Finally they could leave. They
were halfway out of the cemetery when a tall figure appeared out of
the shadows and blocked their path.

"Willow get behind me," Buffy ordered her going into her fighting
stance, as a thick fog crawled and seeped around them, making the
cemetery seem even more creepy.

Willow quickly moved behind Buffy, suddenly wishing that she hadn't
taken her up on that offer to help patrol tonight. She risked a quick
look at their mysterious assailant and noticed his handsome face. He
had long black hair that hung loosely around his features and fell
down past the collar of his shirt. He was dressed all in black, his
pants where black leather, as her eyes moved up to his shirt, which
was either black or a very deep navy blue, it was hard to tell in the
dark. He had on a long black coat. She found herself once again
studying his face <God he really is handsome. No bad Willow!  You
have Angel... sweet luscious Angel>

Willow meet his gaze and blushed as she saw that he realized this
whole time in the cemetery, she had been watching him with a fixed
intensity. However she could not seem to take her eyes off of him.
She felt like she was under some sort of spell, as her gaze never
broke away from his burning stare. He was calling out to her and she
was powerless to do anything but respond to his silent command. She
slowly began taking a couple of steps away from Buffy and started to
make her way towards him.

Buffy grabbed Willows' arm and held her tightly. "Willow what's wrong
with you girl! Are you trying to get yourself killed" Willow didn't
even respond as she tried to free herself from Buffy's death grip but
the slayer kept a tight hold on her. Buffy looked at the mysterious
stranger and noticed the penetrating look he was currently directing
at Willow. His eyes were glowing. She re-adjusted her tight grip on
Willow before turning to the stranger and saying in her most
dangerous voice, "You can stop looking at my friend like she's a
piece of meat, if you don't, I know a urn that will make a nice home
for you."

With that said the spell seemed to break and Willow felt herself come
out of her daze. She shook her head to clear her confused mind.
<Goddess what did he do to me> she panicked, as she quickly stepped
back behind Buffy.

"Ah the slayer so bold but so noble. I'm not  here for you," the man
said as he suddenly vamped out.

"Get back Willow," Buffy yelled as she grabbed her stake out of her
pocket with slayer speed.

"I didn't come here to fight you, slayer."

"Yeah right... then what did you come here for?" Buffy asked not
letting her guard down.

He looked back at Willow and noticed her innocence and purity as he
felt himself become lost in her emerald green eyes. He knew then and
there that he had to have her. To make her completely his. And he
always got what he wanted.  Never breaking his gaze from Willow's he
whispered softly. "You will find out soon enough."  With that said
the fog around them grew thicker as he proceeded to dissolve into
thin air. Within seconds both him and the fog had vanished.

Willow was still staring at the spot where he had once stood. His
answer to Buffy's question seemed to be directed especially at her
and she felt her bodies involuntary shudder as she contemplated what
exactly he meant.

Buffy put the stake back in her pocket and turned to look at
Willow. " Geez creepy much?
You all right Will? You seem a little out of it. A few minutes ago
you acted like you wanted to go right up to him."

"Yeah I'm alright. I don't know what happened it…it was like his
eyes...th.. they were calling me and I tried to look away but I
couldn't."

"Come on lets get you home before he comes back. I don't want you to
get hurt."

"I think that would be for the best."

The walk to Willow's house was a quiet one. Willow's mind kept
wondering back to the alluring dark haired vampire. <No Willow! Think
of Angel.....Yes only naughty thoughts of Angel are allowed> she
decided.

Willow stepped onto her front porch and opened her front door, she
was halfway inside before Buffy spoke. "You sure you're going to be
alright. I don't want you to go outside alone until we find out
exactly what this vamp is after."

She turned and looked at Buffy. "Of course I will be alright.
Remember vampires can't enter without permission and I'm definitely
not going to invite some vamp into my home...seriously why not just
say. Come on in mister vampire sir Oh and by the way here's my neck,
why don't you take a nibble....I'm actually very snack-a-luscious
Buffy laughed and said, " Snack-alicious?? Ok I get it. No serious
drop in Willow intelligence detected.  Call you tomorrow."

"Ok. Be careful Buffy."

Buffy waited until Willow was inside before turning and deciding to
go to the bronze. Both of them were completely unaware that they had
been followed the entire way back to Willow's.

"Soon my little witch. Very soon," the vampire promised himself as he
used the cover of darkness to make his way back to the hotel.
