~Part: 1~
"I mean, I don't think I'm a dog or anything. And I've got a sparckly personality. I'm witty... don't you think I'm witty?"
"Yes, Buffy. You've got wit to boot." Willow answered, trying desperately to keep the exasperation out of her voice. "Your pretty and funny, and an all around good pal."
"I knew it!" the blonde exclaimed, "So if I'm so wonderful, why can't I find anyone to be with?"
"I don't know, Buffy."
"I bet its because I don't act all helpless and stuff. That's it, isn't it?"
"I don't know." Willow said. She never told her friend, but she was tired of hearing about Buffy's 'love' troubles. Ever since Xander had gotten himself a new girlfriend a few weeks ago, she's been on this kickk of being alone. "Buffy, I gotta go. I have a lot of homework to do."
"Oh, I get it. I've bored you."
"No, no, that's not it." she lied, "I really do have a lot of homework. Plus, Giles wanted me to look up some stuff for him."
"Oh, okay. I guess I'll see you tomorrow before class."
"Yup, see ya." said the red head as she gathered her books and headed for home. Something needed to be done about Buffy, and fast. Willow wasn't sure how much more she could take. Willow walked in the front door and quickly shut it, hoping to close out the entire day. She headed up the stairs and into her room, and layed down on the bed, opening her school books.
* * * *
Homework done, she sat on her bed and let her wander around her room as she contemplated on what to do about Buffy. Her eyes came to rest on her books, when the idea hit her. 'A spell!' she thought as she leaped off the bed and raced to her spell books. Page after page she flipped until she found what she was looking for.
It wasn't exactly a love spell, but it was close. With the mixing of three components, and reciting a very small incantation, it would 'help' the person find the most compatable person and give them the courage to act on it. The trick was, you had to be in close proximity of the person, but to do it without they're knowledge. After the mixing and recitation, you had to go to the person and sprinkle, just a dusting of the powder on them.
Now all she had to figure out was, how could she get close enough to Buffy to do the first part of the spell? 'Oh! I'll do it in her backyard when she's asleep.' she thought. It was perfect. It would put her close enough, but without Buffy's knowledge of her ever being there. Then in the morning when she see's her at school, Willow will sprinkle a pinch of powder over Buffy's head when her back is turned. Willow scurried around and gathered everything she needed for tonight, and sat back to watch the clock tick agonizingly slow.
* * * *
Willow hid behind a shrub as she watched for buffy's bedroom light to go out. About fifteen minutes later she was rewarded with the sight of the room being thrust into an inky blackness. She waited an extra few minutes, just to make sure it was sage, then made her way to a spot below the window, and began the task of grinding and mixing the components.
~Part: 2~
Willow spent the better part of half an hour with the arduous task of grinding and mixing the three spell components into a very fine powder. With that part finally out of the way, she held up the bowl, closed her eyes and did the recitation to activate the mixture.
No more lonliness
No more fear
Find your love
Someone dear
With a small 'poof', a tiny black cloud rose from the bowl, and quickly faded into nothingness.
"Willow?" came a deep voice from directly beside her. The unexpected interuption caused Willow to jump, and in doing so, the bowl flew out of her hands. She turned quickly to see that it was Angel, who was now dusting himself off.
"Angel! What are you doing here?" she said quietly, a little out of breath from the start she was given. "You shouldn't sneak up on people like that." wagging a finger at him.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." he paused, "Wait a second. What are 'you' doing here? And what is all this stuff?"
"Well, uh, I, uh... its private." she said, embarrassed now.
"Is that the only answer I'm going to get from you?"
"Yes, you can't make me talk... resolve face." she said pointing at her face.
"Alright, I give."
"So why are you here?" she asked curiously.
"Well, actually, I saw you out walking and wanted to make sure nothing happened to you. Vamp attacks, that sort of thing."
"Oh, how sweet." she said smiling.
"You know, you really shouldn't be out at night walking by yourself. Its a little too dangerous for that." he said "Come on. Gather your stuff and I'll walk you home."
* * * *
"Thanks for walking me home, Angel." she said as they reached the door.
"No problem. It was a nice night for a stroll anyway." he said, then drew his brows together in a slight frown. "What's the matter?"
"Oh, its nothing. Just a little light-headed for a second there. I'll be alright."
"Are you sure? Do you need to sit down or something?" she asked with concern, but Angel looked at her and smiled.
"Do you have any idea just how cute you look when your worried?" and he reached up and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Willow could do nothing but stare, dumbfounded, when the realization of what happened dawned on her. 'Oh no, oops' she thought.
"Uh, again, thanks for walking me home, Angel, but I've gotta fo. School tomorrow, need sleep. You know the drill."
"Sure, I understand. You go get some rest." the smile never left his face, "I'll come by tomorrow night to see you."
"Uh, well. I'm not sure how much homework I'll have. And I was, I was going over to Buffy's to give her a hand with history." she hoped her excuse would work.
"That's okay. I'll just wait until your ready and walk you home again."
"Uh, yeah, okay. See you then." she said as she opened the door and hurridly made her way inside and close it. "Oh boy. Not good, not good." She knew exactly what happened tonight. When he startled her, the powder flew and landed on him. Not just a pinch, but almost the entire thing. And unless she could find a counter spell, she would just have to wait this spell out. 'This should be fun' she thought disdainfully.
~Part: 3~
Willow woke up the next morning and busied herself with getting ready for school. She'd almost had herself convinced that Angel hadn't been affected with the spell, until she opened the door to leave. There, taped to the outside of the door, was a flower-a daisy, and a floded piece of paper. She carefully removed them from the door and unfolded the paper as she continued on her way. Her eyes scanned the words, and she stopped dead in her tracks, unable to move ahead. She re-read the words again, just to make sure she read it right the first time.
The sun in my days
The moon in my nights
While in your pressance
My soul takes flight
The colour of fire
That frames your face
And emerald eyes
Cause my heart to race
Beauty like yours
Is rare to see
You are my Willow
And always will be
Angel
"Oh boy!" she aqueeked out. "This is worse than I hoped." She folded the paper and slipped it into a pocket in her skirt, and hurried off to school.
~~~*~~~
"Hey, Will. What's up, how's your mornin?" asked Buffy.
"Huh? Uh, nothing. Nothing's up, just the usual...why?"
"Nothing really, but now that you mention it, you just seem a little bit antsy, that's all."
"Oh, uh. I think I had one too many coffee's this morning."
"You know you shouldn't be drinking any more than one before school, Will. Any more than that makes you way too jumpy."
"I know, Buffy. Its just that I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night and needed the extra perk."
"Problem sleeping, huh?"
"Yeah."
"You worried about sumthin'?"
"Uh..." Willow replied, 'think think!' " I was going through the list of colleges that I was accepted to... I can't seem to make up my mind where I want to go." she finished.
"Colleges... tht's what kept you awake?" the blonde asked, astounded.
"Uh huh." nodding vigorously.
"Oh, well... You've still got lots of time. Just wait for a while then sit and figure out the pro's and con's of each one later."
"O-okay. I will." she said with relief, Buffy believed the excuse.
"Oooh, pretty." Buffy said, nodding at the flower.
"Yeah, I-I picked it on my way to school." she said as Buffy looked down at her watch.
"We better get going. Bells gonna ring any minute. And the two girls headed off to the front doors of the school.
~Part: 4~
Willow sat through each class, but couldn't get her mind to concentrate on anything. Her mind went over what had happened last night, wondering to what extent the spell did to Angel. Only a small pinch of powder is needed, but almost all of it had landed on him. She had to figure out something to do about this problem before it esscalated, hopefully before any one else found out about it.
The red head gave Buffy the 'tired now... down from the caffine buzz' excuse and went straight home to thumb through her books. To her dismay, that with the proper amount of powder used, the spell would last about three days. The amount that got dumped on Angel would last for months, four months to be exact.
Willow knew that there was no way she would be able to hide what happened from her friends for that long of a stretch. The only thing she could do would be to tell everyone and ask for they're help... but she was too embarrased. 'Maybe it won't be so bad' she thought. Angel will be all 'lovey-dovey' for a while, but she could just keep putting him off until the spell wears off. Angel wasn't exactly the type to show affections in public, so she just might be able to get away with it if he showed up while she was with her friends.
That thought cheered her up a little, and she went downstairs to make herself a sandwich to munch on. She had been so occupied with her thoughts that she didn't even notice that the sun had gone down until she heard a knock at the door and answered it.
"Hi, beautiful."
"Angel!"
"I know, I know. You weren't expecting to see me until later on tonight... but I just couldn't wait." But Willow just stared at him in wide-eyed shock. "Can I come in?" All she could do was nod and step aside. Angel walked in and turned to face Willow as she shut the door. "So, how did you like the poem?"
"Oh, it was nice. I didn't know you wrote poetry." she replied.
"Well, actually I don't. That was my first attempt at it."
"Really? Wow. It was very pretty, thanks."
"Thank yourself... you inspired me." Angel said, taking one of her hands and placing a kiss on it.
"M-me? I inspired that?"
"Of course you did." he looked at her thoughtfully. "Have you never looked at yourself in a mirror? I mean 'really' look?"
"Well, uh..." was all she could say as Angel led her to the bathroom and had her face the mirror on the wall.
"You are a true beauty. The most beautiful green eyes set against the creamiest of skin." Willow blushed at his words of praise. Never had a man ever talked to her like this before. "Your hair is the colour of fire, tempting a man to touch it, run his fingers through it... so soft." he said as he buried his face in her tresses. Butterflies moved about in her stomache as she noticed his spicy scent from his close proximity.
As she continued to stare into the mirror, Angel began stroking her hair with his long fingers. She found it rather unnerving seeing her red tendrils slightly moving, but nothing there moving them. 'Wow' she thought, 'vampires and no reflections... it really is true'.
"You are a true natural beauty," he said as he turned Willow to face him, "but you hide it from the world with these." and he indicated her clothing. "Why do you fear it? You have a firey spirit hiding behind those amazing eyes of yours. Its time to let her out."
"But this," she said as she looked down at her apparel, "this is me. This is who I am."
"No, it is not. It is who your parents want you to be." he gazed deeply into her eyes. "Your spirit wants out.. let her." and he placed his lips upon hers. It was the most earth-shattering kiss Willow had ever experienced in her entire life.
~Part: 5~
Willow and Angel had spent the rest of that night just talking. She was actually considering what Angel had said about the way she dressed. He was right... it was her parents. They bought all of her clothing, giving the red head no say as to what she would like. Maybe a new wardrobe was in order after all.
She decided to go shopping after school and see what she could come up with. Tonight, being friday, was 'Bronz' night for herself, Buffy and Xander. Tonight she would take Angel's advice, tonight she would look different... she just didn't know how different.
Willow looked outside the door as she left for school, but nothing was taped to it. Feeling a little relieved, she stepped out, but her foot kicked something on the step. She looked down and saw a box of chocolaits, and yet another folded piece of paper with a red ribbon tied around it.
She leaned down and grabbed the candy and put it inside the house. She closed the door behind her and removed the ribbon as she made her way to the only high school in town.
Dearest Willow
Sounds of you laughter
When you are near
The touch of you lips
These things I hold dear
You make me smile
With the sound of your voice
Your laughter's like bells
That cause my soul to rejoice
To be with you
Through all the years
Protect you from harm
You'll shed no tears.
Angel
"Awww... that is so sweet." she said as she read it one more time before she tucked it away.
She saw Buffy sitting under a tree waiting for her, and Willow hurried over.
"Sorry I'm a little late, Buff." she said a little breathless.
"Hey, no big. I just got here a few minutes ago myself." Buffy studied her friend. "You seem pretty chipper today."
"Yeah, I decided you were right about choosing colleges. I'm going to wait a while then go back to it. Pro's and con's thing you mentioned." she finished with a smile
"See? Told you it was a good plan."
"So, where's Xander this morning?" Willow asked curiously. The two girls hadn't seen much of him lately.
"Where do you think?"
"Ahhh, snuggles and smoochies. Well, he seems pretty happy."
"Yeah, he does." replied the blonde. "So, we still on for Bronzin' tonight?"
"Yup."
"What time do you want me to come and get you?"
"Actually, Buff. Would you mind if I met you guys there? I've got some stuff to do before I go."
"Sure, no sweat. I'll be there by eight."
"Sounds good." said Willow as the bell rang.
"Oops, the bell. Time to start yet another day of duldrum." said Buffy, as both girls stood and made they're way to the front doors.
~Part: 6~
Willow had been looking forward to this all day, and the time until the final bell just couldn't tick by fast enough. She said her 'goodbye's' and 'see ya tonight' with Buffy and Xander, then raced home to drop off her books and procced to the downtown clothing stores. Nothing was walked by without being held up and scrutinzed as she searched every store with excitement.
* * * * *
Buffy glanced at her watch which now read eight thirty, and still there was no Willow in sight. She began to worry, just a little... Willow was always on time, never late, and wondered what could be keeping her friend. She thought the band was pretty good tonight as she listened to the music and watched the couple's on the dance floor.
"Hey, Buffy."
"Willow, you made..." but the blonde quieted as she snapped her head towards Willow and took in the sight of her friend. "Willow? Holy wow!"
"What's the matter? Do I look that bad?" the red head asked as worry crossed her features.
"Huh? No! no, you look, uh. Well, you look so different." the blonde stammered, "You look hot." she finished as she stared unbelievingly at her friend. Willow was dressed in black hip-hugger leather pants... so tight they may as well be painted on. Her top, what there was of it, was a tight red crop top... 'is that make-up?' she wondered as she looked into her face, and noticed Willow had put a little bit of curl into her hair.
"Rosenberg?" a male voice asked in astonishment.
"Hey, Percy."
"Whoa! Your lookin' fine tonight. Feel like hittin the floor for a dance?" he asked.
"Sure, that would be great!" she said as she took the hand offered and was led out to the dance floor. Buffy could only sit and stare in shock as she watched Willow boogy down with Percy.
* * * *
"Hey, Buffster. Willow decide to do a no show?" asked Xander loudy trying to be heard over the music. The slayer turned to look at him, still dumbfounded and pointed to the dance floor.
"Yeah, she's here."
"Where?" Xander asked, looking around but couldn't seem to spot her.
"There, dancing with some guy."
"Nope, still don't see her." he said scanning the couples until his eyes came across a familiar face framed in red hair. His jaw almost hit the floor as he watched her dance and laugh at something she was told. "That's Willow?" he looked again, "THAT'S WILLOW!"
"Yup, that's Willow."
"I didn't even know Willow could dance!" he said, staring in awe. "She's got a body! Did you know she had a body? I mean, I always wondered what she looked like, but I never thought I'd find out!"
"She's been here for almost an hour, and hasn't sat down yet."
"Wow!"
* * * *
Willow felt incredable. Never in her life has she ever had so much attention as she has tonight. As soon as a song ended, there was someone asking her to dance before she even left the floor. She'd even taken a quick glance at Xander and had seen his reaction. She liked the way she looked, the way she felt, and the attention she was getting. Angel was right.
~Part: 7~
Willow made her way to the table where her friends were sitting, flushed with the excitement and exertion of laughing and dancing.
"Hi guys."
"Sooo, decided to join us after all,eh?" Xander asked, looking her over. "And uh, what's with the new you?"
"What" Don't you like it? B-Buffy said I looked hot. Didn't you say I looked hot?" she looked to Buffy for confirmation.
"No, hey! Your hot, your definately hot!" Xander replied quickly, "It's just, well... it's so unexpected, that's all."
"Yeah. Why the sudden change, Will?"
"Well, the change may be sudden, but the thoughts about it aren't. I've..." but Willow was interupted as a young man came over and asked her to dance. "I think I'm gonna sit this one out, but thanks."
"A little later maybe?" he almost pleaded.
"Sure, that would be great." she beamed at him, and he smiled as if the red head had just made his night, and he walked away. Willow turned to her friends to finish her conversation, but was once again interupted as a waitress came to the table and set down six drinks. "I didn't order anything yet." she stated looking up at the waitress.
"No, you didn't. This one's from that guy over there," she pointed, "and this came from thaat guy, and this..." she ran through the list, and Willow smiled at each guy that was pointed out to her.
"Wow," she said in awe. "I've never had drinks bought for me before. This is way too cool!" excitement replaced the awe.
"Umm, you were saying?" Buffy coaxed.
"Huh? About what?"
"Your new look, Will. What's up with that?"
"Oh yeah. I've been thinking about it for a while now, and decided that thinking is not the same as doing. So I did it." she finished and took a sip from one of the many drinks in front of her. "I've never felt so good, Buffy... about myself, that is. It's funny, you know. Guys never looked at me before tonight, and all it took was a little make-up and a change of clothes." she took another sip. "Is this what it's like for you? I mean, guys are always checking you out and stuff."
"Actually, I don't really get that excited about it."
"Well, I guess its probably because your so used to it." she laughed.
"Xander?" Buffy looked to the brunette, "You haven't said much."
"Uh, what can I say?" he looked to the blonde, "You'll have to help me out with that, cause I really don't know what to say."
"Well," Buffy said turning back to the red head, "If it makes you happy, then I say go with it." she smiled giving Willow her full support.
"Thanks, Buff." she replied with a smile of relief.
"Willow, hey. Would you like to dance?"
"Sure, Neil. I'd love to." and once again she was off.
"She sure seems happy." Xander said, still staring at his new- looking life-long friend.
"She still seems like the 'same old' Willow. She's not acting all wierd or creepy or anything, so I say... let her live it up!" she looked at Xander and handed him a napkin.
"What's this for?" he asked curiously.
"It's for the drool running down you chin."
~Part: 8~
Willow had stayed until the Bronz closed its doors, and was led out by seven boys, all vying for her attention. Once outside, she spotted Angel across the street waiting for her, and a pleased smile crossed his lips.
"Well guys... I've gotta go."
"Do you have to? We can still hang out." said a young man.
"Nope, sorry. Got someone waiting for me."
"We'll see you at school Monday, right?"
"As always. Night guys." she said as she left the group and crossed the street to meet up with Angel. "What are you doing here?"
"Told you before... you shouldn't be walking at night by yourself." he looked at her admiringly. "New look I see."
"Yup. Do you like it?" she asked hopefully.
"You have no idea." he answered. "It suits you."
"Oh Angel, I had such a great time! I danced all night, guys bought me drinks. It was fantastic!"
"I told you... a true beauty." he said softly, and Willow blushed at his words.
"Did you come in? I didn't see you."
"No, I stayed out here. I couldn't handle the thought of seeing you smile for anyone other than me."
"But, Angel..."
"Shhh, its okay. I've discovered over time that women tend not to believe the words of one man, but will take it as truth from many. You needed tonight for yourself, to see if what I said was true." he finished.
"Oh, Angel. I've never felt so good about myself before." she beamed.
"Now do you believe me?" he asked, and she nodded shyly. "You see, a true beauty."
* * * *
Willow walked in the door and Angel followed. He watched her every movement as she set the keys and her purse on a near by table and turn to face him. Her green eyes twinkled brightly as she looked at him, her skin still flushed from all of the excitement. Angel wanted to feel her skin, run his fingers through her soft hair and feel her mouth against his.
The novelty of all the attention she recieved tonight was like alcohol, making her feel drunk and giddy, and the look of wanting in Angel's eyes only added to it. Whe was a little surprised when the tall vampire put his hands on her waist and pulled her close. He looked down into her eyes and said, "So beautiful, no other could compare." and then placed his lips on hers. He kissed her softly, causing her lips to part slightly as a sigh escaped. He took the opportunity, and his tongue made its way into her mouth searching. She responded in kind, and as they're tongues touched and carressed, he could taste the fruit from the drinks she'd had... so sweet.
He pulled her closer and deepened the kiss, and Willow's arms went around him, one hand moving to his head as she pulled him as close as she could. She could feel his need as Angel pressed against her, felt him harden against her belly.
Suddenly, Angel pulled away and began pacing in an effort to calm himself. Willow just stared as a look of confusion crossed her face.
"Angel? Did I do something wrong?" he stopped his pacing and gave her a reassuring look.
"You did nothing wrong, trust me."
"But..."
"Stopping was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but..." he looked in her expectant eyes. "If I had've gone too far... " he took a deep breath, "I don't think anyone would like Angelus making his way back to town." he finished and saw the look of understanding she gave him.
"I'm sorry." she looked down and blushed, "I didn't stop to think..."
"No, it's okay," he interupted, "Neither did I." he gave her a wry smile. "I think it best that I leave now." he walked over and kissed her cheek. "I'll see you soon, Fire Fairy." and she watched him walk out the door.
~Part: 9~
Willow lay in her bed staring up at the ceiling as she thought about what happened between her and Angel tonight. She had always had a crush on the tall, dark haired vampire. But because of Buffy's relationship with him, it had to remain her little secret. Even nowthat the two were no longer together, she still couldn't bring herself to admit it to anyone.
The kiss tonight had caused butterflies in her stomache and her knees had been left feeling like jello. But she knew he was right to stop, in her heart she knew. No one wanted Angelus to make an appearance again... it was too frightening the last time.
She cared a great deal for the vampire, so much so that she decided to tell him the truth. As much as she wanted and loved the attention he was giving her, she couldn't lie to him anymore. The attraction he felt for her wasn't real... it was all because of a spell that she, as always, had managed to bungle. She would tell him the next time she saw him.
* * * *
Willow walked out the front door, heading to Buffy's when she saw a tiny box sitting on the front step. 'Oh no' she thought as she picked it up and opened the lid. Inside sat a small charm bracelette and a small piece of paper. She turned the paper over and read the words scribed upon it.
It fills me with dread
Our time apart
And causes an emptyness
That stops my heart.
Until tonight
Angel
She smiled at the irony of the last line in the poem he had written her. She sighed, and continued on her way to her friends house. She deperately needed to talk.
* * * *
"You what?" the blonde exclaimed "Why would you do that?"
"It was an accident, the spell was meant for you. Its just... when he startled me, I accidently flung the potion and it landed all over him."
"So, it was an accident." she said as she pictured the events in her mind of what she was told. "Yeah, okay. I get that. But why on earth would you do a love spell on me?"
"Well, its not really a 'love' spell per sey. It just gives you the clarity to see the most compatable person for you, and gives you the courage to act on it. Ice-breaker without the nervousness." Willow informed her.
"Oh, neat. But that still doesn't answer my question."
"I'm sorry. Its, well... with all the talking you've been doing lately about wanting to be with somebody, I... I didn't want you to be alone." she cast her eyes downward.
"Will, that's really sweet of you, but I would rather do it the old fashioned way. the nervous thing is what adds to the excitement of the possibilities of a new relationship. Thanks all the same, but no thanks." And Willow nodded her understanding.
"Your not mad at me? About the Angel thing?"
"Nah, why should I be? It was an accident. Things happen."
"Really?"
"Sure. We'll just have to sait and ride it out, I guess. I'm glad you came to talk to me about it though."
"This was the easy part... I still have to tell Angel."
~Part: 10~
Willow had spent much of the day with Buffy before returning home to wait for the arrival of tall, dark and no longer broody. The slayer had offered to come along as moral support for her friend, but Willow declined... she wrecked it, she'll fix it. Buffy, she had to admit, had taken what she was told a lot better than the red head thought she would.
Willow glanced at the window and saw that the sun had made its usual departure... Angel would be here any time now. Willow steeled herself and waited, not at all wanting the planned conversation with Angel to take place, but knowing that it was nessessary nonetheless. A knock sounded at the door a short time later, and Willow got up to answer it, already knowing who would be standing there. Sure enough, it was Angel. She gestured for him to come in and he followed her to the livingroom and seated himself on the couch. Willow decided sitting in the arm chair was a better idea for her if she wanted to get this conversation going.
"Wouldn't you rather sit over her with me?" he asked, curiosity in his voice.
"No, I think the chair will be just fine." she paused, taking a deep breath. "Angel, we need to talk."
"About what?"
"About us."
"Why... are you having second thoughts?"
"No, uh, well. Angel, there's something you need to know. Something I need to tell you."
"What is it? Have I done something to upset you?" worry was evident in his voice.
"Oh,no... you've been so great. Its nothing you've done... its what I did."
"What did you do?"
"Angel, what you think you feel for me isn't real. Its a spell that I messed up... as usual." she put her head down, feeling ashamed and embarrassed.
"No, its not. What I feel for you, Willow, is real. I love you."
"You don't understand, its not real. The other night at Buffy's when you came up behind me, I had just finished doing a spell component. It was suppowed to help Buffy find someone, but when you scared me the powder flew all over you. How you feel... its because my spell made you feel that way. Its not real." she finished.
"What exactly does this spell do." he asked after carefully listening to her words. She proceeded to tell him and he leaned back against the sofa, and smiled at her.
"What are you smiling about? You should be upset with me and yelling... or something!"
"Willow, there is no spell on earth that could make me fall in love with you... because I already was." he said, and she looked up at him in shock.
"Wha...?"
"I'm already in love with you, and have been for some time now. Your spell did work though. It gave me the courage that I didn't have before to tell you."
"Your in l-love with m-me?" she asked incredulously.
"Yes, I am."
"I-I never expected... I mean, I never would have guessed..."
"Of course not. I could never let anyone know before. But now..." he got up and walked over to Willow, taking her hand and making her stand facing him. "Now I don't care who know's. Your spell did me a favor, one I won't forget." he said, carressing her cheek. "I love you, my Fire Fairy." and he placed a soft kiss upon her lips.
the end.
