~Part: 1~

Spike looked around the hotel as he first entered, hoping he would see Angel before anyone else. He didn't really feel like being questioned by Cordelia right now, he didn't want to see her at all!

"Who are you?", A timid female voice called out from behind him which startled him momentarily. He turned around to see who was enquiring.

A woman with long brown hair stood there, she was holding a long sword and she was ready to attempt to do battle with him.

Spike chuckled to himself...

"Listen love, you're gonna need a lot more than a big sword and a trembling voice to get rid of me pet." He slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out his cigarettes, he drew one from the pack and placed it in his mouth.

"Who are you?" She said again, this time the tone of her voice was considerably calm and had a more demanding tone to it. Spike looked at her, he admired her sudden burst of bravery,

"Let's just say  I'm an old friend of Angel's." He replied. "Is he here or not?" he asked, getting to the point.

Fred started to back away from Spike, the sword she was holding was still outstretched just in case he made an attempt to attack her.

"So you're a vampire?" she asked, not trusting him in the slightest.

"Nooooo", he said sarcastically. "I'm the flippin' easter bunny..."

Fred looked at Spike and started to laugh at him uncontrollably.

"What? You think I'm funny do ya? Well, we'll have to..." Spike stopped talking and looked behind the girl. He noticed a young man standing looking at him, seeming not to care if he attacked the young lady or not.

Spike stood there for a moment and watched the young man carefully, he stared back at Spike his eyes dancing with amusement...

"Please, don't let me interrupt you" the boy said.

"And who might you be pet?" Spike asked. The boy seemed familiar to him, almost like he had known him all his life. Spike didn't feel threatened by the boy, he had to know who he was!

Connor smiled at the blonde vampire, "I assume my father didn't tell you I was going to be here tonight?"

"Father? And who might that be love?", Spike was confused. He knew this young man's father?

"I'm Conner, my father said you knew who I was..." Conner studied Spike carefully, he knew Angel had told Spike about him as he heard the telephone call.

Spike smiled at Conner and out stretched his arms, motioning Conner to come to him. "So you're the brat?" Spike said.

Connor walked into Spike's arms and wrapped his own arms around the vampire's waist. "The one and only!" he said, grinning happily. "You're early, I wasn't expecting you for at least another hour!" Connor pulled out of the embrace and looked into Spike's eyes.

"Red gave me a lift, she's in the car outside" Spike looked around the hotel, hoping to see Angel.

"My father is out, he won't be here for at least another hour!" Connor said. "Fred, I think maybe you should go and get Willow from the car. My father wants to talk to her."

Spike sat down slowly, "Well, I had better make myself at home before he gets back!" he said.

He relaxed and threw his cigarette onto the floor, "I know I'm going to like it here!"

~Part: 2~

Angel reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone, he held it against his ear and shook it.

"Cordy, how do you know when these things are broken?"

Cordelia was sorting through a box of files in one of the offices at Wolfram & Hart. She rolled her eyes at Angel.

"What things?" She called out.

"This phone..." he said, walking towards her.

She turned around to look at him, "I guess if it doesn't ring" She said.

Angel pulled the phone out of his pocket and shook it again, "I think it's broken..." he replied.

Cordelia looked at him, he had been anxious all night. She was beginning to think something was bothering him.

"Are you waiting for a call?" she said.

Angel looked at her and frowned, "Me? Nooo, I was just curious is all!" He faked a smile and started tapping his foot.

Cordelia watched him carefully, Angel wasn't usually the pre-occupied she knew something had to be bothering him.

"Angel, are you sure you're OK, I mean you've been on edge all night!! Do you wanna talk about it?" She said, hoping to get some sort of answer out of him.

"I'm fine!!! Honestly... It's all under control!" Angel replied, looking at his phone again hoping it would ring.

Cordelia sighed, "Yeah, sure..." She continued to look through the box of files until she came across the file they were looking for. "Found it!" she said.

Angel pushed the phone into his pocket, "Good, now let's get the hell out of here!" he said.

Cordelia put the remaining files back into the filing cabinet and followed Angel out of the office. "Angel, how are we getting out of here?" She asked, looking slightly concerned.

"The roof!" He said. "The way we came in... Duh!!".

Cordelia looked at him shocked, "Touchy!!!" She said. "Listen Mister, if you don't snap out of this little thing you have going, I'm gonna have to teach you a lesson!" She turned to look at Angel who looked less than pleased with her playfulness.

"C'mon Angel, what's wrong?" She said, moving closer to him and putting a hand on his shoulder.

Angel glared at Cordelia and she removed her hand from his shoulder.

"Listen, Cordelia..." he started. "This is kinda hard for me right now, you're the last person I wanna be working with and right now, I should be waiting for someone at home."

Cordelia looked at him, "So there is something on your mind!" She said, looking worried.

"Can we just go now?" Angel asked.

"Lead the way!" She said, hoping that Angel was not angry at her.

As they started to walk down the halls of Wolfram & Hart, Angel's phone began to ring...
