~Part: 1~

Liam let his eyes roam over the people in the club when he saw him. The man was wearing tight blue jeans that looked as if they were made for him, showing every curve of his hips and ass. With it, he wore a long-sleeved mesh shirt that fell against his pale skin. He watched as the man turned his head slightly. His blondish-brown hair fell around his face and when he turned around completely, he could see the man's eyes were outlined in black eyeliner. He was Liam's idea of perfection. Glancing away, he picked up his drink and took a sip. The drinks were always weak but that's not the real reason he was here. If he wanted a drink he would have gone to a damn liquor store.

Turning back around, Liam saw the man once again. This time he was arguing with two individuals. And the way the man's eyes glistened from the lights in the club, Liam knew the individual was probably on the verge of tears. Watching him closely, he watched as the man made his way to the emergency exit door and disappeared into the warm night air. Taking a chance, Liam stood up from the table and headed towards the same door.

Once he stepped outside, he saw the other man leaning against the wall. He watched as he wiped a tear from his face. "You ok?"

Will turned his head and looked at the person the voice belonged to. Dark hair and even darker eyes. The kind that you could get lost in with one look. Letting his eyes drift over the man's body, he noticed black leather pants with a dark blue button down shirt. The top three buttons were left undone, revealing enough skin to make him want to see more. "Do I know you?"

Now Liam felt stupid. "Well, no actually." He saw the man lift his eyebrow and wanted to melt right there. Everything he did seemed to be sexual. "You looked upset so I followed you out here."

"Watching me, were you?"

"You caught my eye, that's all. I'll just go back inside now."

Will watched the man turn around and start to head towards the door. "Don't you even want to know my name?"

Hearing his voice, Liam turned around quickly. "Didn't think you wanted me to know it."

"Maybe I do."

Liam suddenly felt nervous. "Ok." He walked back to where the other man was. He watched him put his foot against the wall and push his body up to a standing position.

"The name's Will." He paused for a moment, waiting. "You gonna tell me your name, mate or should I guess?"

Now he was embarrassed. "It's Liam."

"Liam, huh? So Liam, why would I take your fancy and catch your eye?"

"Why wouldn't you?"

Choosing to ignore the question, he continued. "Well you followed me out here, mate and I'm sure it wasn't to talk."

Liam could feel his face fall. "Actually it was."

"Right, then. So what..."

"You were crying. I just though I could help."

"Well you can't."

"Do you wanna talk about it?" he asked slowly but cautiously.

"Do I wanna talk about it? Let's think about that. How about hell no?"

Liam heard the tone of his voice change and took a step back. "I didn't mean..."

Seeing him step back a bit, his voice softened. "Walked into the room while the guy I was supposedly dating was shagging some other bloke."

"I'm sorry," Liam whispered to him.

"I'm not."

"You're not? I don't get it."

"Didn't love him. I was barely dating him. It was just a shock. He didn't want me. Seeing him...he just didn't want me. Happy that you know now?"

Liam saw a tear fall down Will's face and understood that it wasn't about the person; it was the fact that he just wanted to be wanted. Taking a step closer, he brushed away the tear with the pad of his thumb. That one innocent gesture sparked something in him. It was then that he felt Will lean into the touch. "You're beautiful," he breathed.

"Beauty is only in the eye of the beholder," Will whispered back. He could feel his heart racing.

Without thinking, Liam bent his head down and brushed his lips against Will's. The kiss was accepted eagerly if not needy.

The moment he felt Liam's lips against his own, Will parted his lips, letting him deepen the kiss. He needed this. The contact of another human. Of another man. He wanted to be needed by someone.

As Liam deepened the kiss, their tongues battling for dominance, he felt Will's hands slide up his body towards his neck. His fingers slipped under his shirt. The feel of his skin against his only fueled the kiss between them that much more. He walked forwards, backing Will up against the wall and reluctantly pulled away. Still in bliss from tasting him, he started to nip at his neck as his hands slid down and rested on Will's hips. Kissing at his neck, he ground his hips against his, keeping a firm grip on his body.

Suddenly, before things went any farther, Liam pulled back. Panting, he looked into Will's eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"What for, pet? I was enjoying myself. You feel incredible against me."

"I shouldn't...we shouldn't...I mean, just a bit ago you were dating someone and I...you were crying over him and I just..."

"Please don't turn me away," Will whispered.

Liam heard his words and his voice. He sounded almost desperate. He took a step towards Will and put his arms around him, pulling him close. Leaning forward he brushed his lips against his once more, but this time in an innocent kiss. He rested his forehead against him. "You are sexy and beautiful and perfect..."

"This sounds like goodbye," he whispered.

"Ssh. I would give anything to get lost in you but I have to make sure that I'm the one you really want to get lost in. Cause if I wasn't...I don't think I could go through that sort of pain."

"Liam, I wouldn't do that to you. I wouldn't. I feel something with us. A spark, I don't know. Don't go."

"I feel it too. That's why I have to walk away from this. If I stay, I'll fall for you so easily. I would fall for you so fast."

This time as the tears fell from Will's eyes, he knew it wasn't because he would be alone. He was crying because of Liam, a man he didn't even know. But his words, his actions and his kiss, would be remembered for a lifetime. A man that turned his world inside out for one night. Not even a whole night, more like a moment. And he wouldn't ever be the same.

~Part: 2~

Two weeks had passed since Liam walked away from Will. Two weeks that he craved a man that he didn't know. Two weeks that he dreamt that one situation would have gone very differently. He wouldn't have walked away.

Will turned the pages of the book he was reading, trying to concentrate on the words. He still had thirty minutes before his shift at the bookstore started. And at the moment he was enjoying the quiet that surrounded the coffee shop he was currently sitting in. He tried again to concentrate on the words of the latest book he was reading, but the only thing that was etched in his mind was an image of Liam. Will had always read that people can meet on a rare chance and it only took a moment for that person to change your life. He never believed it until that night. One night, one moment, one man and he suddenly found himself wanting to start writing poetry again.

Liam had taken the day off from work. He needed some down time. A day just for himself. Deciding to take a walk, he grabbed his wallet and keys, stuffing them into his jeans. He pulled a shirt over his head and grabbed his leather jacket, determined to relax.

After walking for about ten minutes, he saw a bookstore that he used to visit frequently. 'Not frequently enough lately.' Walking up to the door, he noticed that they didn't open still for another twenty minutes. Looking around, he saw a coffee shop next door. Making his way into the store, he froze seeing the only other occupant of the cafe. It looked like Will, without the torn clothes and the eyeliner. Maybe he was wrong. Making his way to the counter, he ordered a cup of coffee and then looked back at the other man. The same blondish-brown hair fell around the man's face. Except for this time, resting on his face was a pair of wire-rimmed glasses. He had on a midnight blue cotton long sleeved shirt. The top two buttons were undone, revealing a silver chain around his neck. He also wore a pair of black slacks and dress shoes. Taking the cup of coffee from the cashier, he knew what he had to do. What he wanted to do.

Liam walked over to the table slowly. He wasn't sure what he was gonna say but his gut told him that this was Will. 'His' Will. Hopefully his one day. As he stepped up to the table, the other man still hadn't lifted his head to look at him. He leaned his hand down and tapped lightly on the table. "Mind if I sit down?"

Will lifted his head at the voice and stared at the man that had occupied his thoughts for two weeks. He was shocked and happy. "The seat's all yours, mate."

Liam took the seat across from him. "It is Will, right? Cause if you're not I've just made a fool out of myself."

"It is, luv."

"You just look different, that's all."

"The outfit. Somehow I don't think my manager would fancy what I had on the night you met me."

"Where do you work?"

"The bookstore next door. Ready to leave again?"

"No! Why?" Did Will want him to leave?

"Look, I'm not successful or anything but I hold my own."

"Should money make a difference in this?"

"It usually does, mate."

Liam let his finger circle the top edge of the coffee cup he was holding. "Is this the real you or the one I met the other night the real you?"

"Would you believe both?"

"Yeah. It's understandable." He started looking around.

"You looking for someone, luv?"

"Oh, um...no. I just...if you work around here, do you really want people seeing you sitting so close to a guy?"

Will smirked and leaned forward. "People around her know I'm gay if that's what you're implying."

"Right. I feel stupid now."

"Don't. It's not a big deal."

"So...did you get back together with your ex?" he tried to bring up casually but was obvious as day.

"It's hard to try to get back together with an ex when your mind is focused on someone else, pet," Will told him.

"And, um...who would...not that it's any of my business."

Will let his leg brush against Liam's. "For two weeks I've thought of nothing but you. Hell, I don't even know you."

Liam wasn't sure what to say. He always sucked at things like this. Letting go of his coffee, he slid both hands under the table and up Will's thighs. The feel of him under his touch sparked memories of the night they'd met. He saw a slight grin on Will's face and smiled. Glancing out of the corner of his eye at the clock, he saw the bookstore would be opening in a few minutes which meant Will would be starting his shift in a few minutes. Reluctantly, he pulled away. He saw Will's confused look. "Your shift starts soon."

"Bugger it," Will mumbled.

"I guess this is goodbye. Again."

"Yeah I guess," Will said sadly.

Liam stood up and was about to walk away but he knew he couldn't. He'd walked away once already and he was miserable because of it.

Will couldn't believe this was it. He couldn't believe this was happening again.

"Well, bye."

"See ya," he told Liam watching him walk away a second time. "Liam!" he called out.

Just as he turned around and called Will's name, he heard Will call out his name. They both shared a smile.

"You first," Will told him.

He walked back over to the table. "I can't do this again. I can't just walk away and pretend that I don't feel anything."

"What are you saying?" Will whispered.

"Come out with me tonight? Just the two of us. I don't know where or anything, just come out with me?"

He couldn't help but to smile. "Yeah. I'd love to, pet."

"Good. How about I meet you here around eight? Just dress in whatever you want."

"I'll see you at eight."

Liam leaned down and brushed his lips against Will's. Not wanting to pull away just yet, he brought his hands up, gliding them through his hair and deepened the kiss. Pulling away, they were both panting slightly. "See you tonight," he whispered. "You gotta go to work."

"Rather kiss you."

"Tonight," he promised. Picking up his coffee he walked out of the coffee shop and waited for the bookstore to unlock the front doors while Will went through an 'employee's only' side door.

~Part: 3~

After the doors opened, Liam walked around the store aimlessly, picking up a random book. Taking a seat in one of the store's over-sized leather chairs, he leaned back and relaxed. He didn't really care too much for the book or even the store for that matter. He just wanted to get one more glance at Will before he had to leave.

Twenty minutes had passed before he got his chance. Just as he lifted his head, he saw Will walk up to the computer. He watched as the man began to type. The way his eyes seemed so focused. Not for the first time that day, Liam was happy he decided to take the day off from work.

Will could feel someone watching him. He could feel the weight of the stare. Lifting his eyes slowly from the computer screen, he saw Liam. Giving him a small smile, he nodded in his direction. Will picked up the phone, never taking his eyes off of Liam, as he answered all of the customer's various questions about a book. Just as he hung up the phone, he could feel someone coming up behind him.

"Ooh, eye candy."

Will didn't need to turn around to know who the voice belonged to. Only one person could have a high screeched annoying voice like that. Buffy. Will never understood why Buffy actually came to work. She was daddy's girl and had no problem spending her father's money.

Tearing his eyes away from Liam, Will glanced over his shoulder at her. "And which one do you think is the flavor of the minute now?"

"The one sitting in the leather chair watching me."

Will couldn't help but to laugh at her observation. "Right. Trust me when I say you're not his type, luv."

"I'm everybody's type," she told him.

"Ya know one good thing about liking guys? I don't have to deal with ignorant and annoying bints like you."

Buffy was beyond furious. She pointed her finger at him. "You can't talk to me like that."

"I just did. Now sod off!" Will went to glance at Liam one last time but saw the chair was already empty. Frowning, he knew he would just have to wait until tonight.

~~~*~~~
Ten minutes before eight o'clock, Liam was standing outside smoking a cigarette. He was nervous. Leaning back, he felt the wall against his back and thought about Will. He didn't know how he would have reacted if Will had turned him down. The man was Liam's idea of perfection and he had no desire to let go of that. Glancing at his watch, he realized it was a couple of minutes after eight. A slight wave of panic went through him at the thought that Will might not show up.
Buffy was just leaving the store when she saw the man she had been ogling this morning. Walking over to him, she was determined she was going to have him.
Liam looked up and saw a girl walking towards him. It was the same one that he saw Will talking to this morning.
"Hi," Buffy said trying to sound cute and innocent.
"Hey."
"So what are you doing..."
"Listen, I don't want to come off rude or anything but I'm kinda waiting for someone." At that moment, he saw Will step out of the bookstore and look around him. He saw him look at Buffy and then at him.
Will was so happy that it was finally eight. He had ended up working almost a double shift because someone didn't show up and was itching to get out of the store. The moment he stepped outside, he looked around and froze. The man that he couldn't get out of his head was standing there with Buffy. He could feel his heart sink. Leaning against the wall he waited for the inevitable. The part where Liam told him to get lost.
Liam tried to drown out Buffy's voice to focus on Will. He was wearing a pair of jeans that fit snug in all the right places and a black t-shirt. Matching the shirt, he wore a pair of black boots. The only word that came to mind was fuckable. It was then that he heard Buffy's last question.
"So are you interested?" she asked.
He nodded. "Yeah, I am. Very interested. Just not in you." He watched as her mouth dropped open in shock. He looked over at the man that seemed to be equally shocked. "You ready to go, Will?"
Will stood up a little straighter. His confidence was once again high and a smirk formed on his face. "Yeah, mate. Whenever you are."
"Let's go then." As they walked off together, they could hear Buffy in the background.
"You can't turn me down. Everyone wants me."
Liam turned his head slightly to look at Will. "Does she really believe all that or does she live in some sort of fantasy bubble?"
"A little of both, mate. Where are we going anyways?"
"I actually don't know. Just wanted to be with you."
Will could feel himself blush slightly at the comment.
"You look great," Liam whispered.
"About that, sorry about the way I look and all. I mean...I ended up working a double shift and these were the only clothes I had in my locker and...
Liam looked at him concerned. "I meant what I said," he interrupted. "You look..."
"Awful?" he supplied.
Liam stopped in the middle of the street. He tilted his head to the side and gazed at Will for a moment. "Sexy."
"I'm not," Will told him.
Liam grazed him thumb across Will's lips. "And I say you are."
Making a decision, Will grabbed Liam's hand and pulled him into the closest alley.
"What are we doing here? I thought..."
Will leaned forward, brushing his lips against Liam's. Tasting him once again, he let his hands drift through his hair and deepened the kiss. Pulling back, he grinned.
"What was that for?" he asked Will.
"You didn't like it?"
"It's not that. Just unexpected."
"Maybe it was cause I wanted to or maybe it was you turning Buffy down. Or maybe..." Will let his hands travel down Liam's body until they rested on his ass. "Maybe it's because I can't get you out of my mind."
Liam brushed his lips against Will's neck. "Missed you, too. I don't even know you," he whispered. "But you consume me."
"Mmm. You feel good against me."
Liam knew that if he didn't get out of that alley, things were going to go to the next step and it was only their first time out. He wanted whatever this was or hopefully will be to last. "Let's get out of here," he whispered. Pulling Will out of the alley, they made their way into the night.
~~~*~~~

They had been walking for about ten minutes in silence, when Will finally spoke up. "Are you ashamed to be seen with me?"

Liam stopped walking and stared at him. "What are you talking about?"

"I just figured you would want to take me to the club and well...we're not there, so..."

"I just...not there..."

"Which leads me to my original question. Are you ashamed to be seen with me?"

"It's..." Liam was getting frustrated. Not with Will, but with himself. "I didn't want to take you there cause of you ex," he said softly.

"I told you he's not a part of the picture anymore."

"It's not him that I'm worried about."

"I don't understand."

Liam took a deep breath. "I though that if you saw him that you would go to him and I didn't want to risk losing you." He took another deep breath. "Not that I have you. And I didn't want you to walk away and I know that isn't my place to decide that and."

"You act like you want me for yours," Will told him. "Do you?" he then asked seriously.

Liam looked away. "Come for a ride with me? My car is close by and..."

"You didn't answer my question."

"I know. I'm afraid of what your answer might be if I tell you the truth."

"There's only one way to find out," Will told him.

"Come for a ride with me?" Liam asked.

Will looked into his eyes and saw the raw emotions that stirred in them. "Yeah," he said softly. "Let's go take a ride." Both men walked to the car in a complete and unnerving silence.

~Part: 4~

Will had remained silent in the car, but that didn't stop the anger and hurt he felt. He didn't understand why Liam couldn't just answer the question. Either he wanted him or he didn't. When he felt the car slowing down, he gazed out the window but had no idea to where he was. Will leaned back against the seat and tried to relax.

Liam didn't know why he couldn't answer the question. That wasn't necessarily the truth. He knew why. He was scared. He didn't want to screw anything up. He slowed down and pulled over the car. "We're here," he whispered, putting the car in park and removing the key.

Hearing Liam shut off the car, he waited for him to say something. Anything. The only thing that happened was that the silence seemed to get louder. His anger finally surfacing, Will opened the car door, stepped out and then slammed it shut. He just wanted Liam to talk to him and he felt like he was being shut out. Starting to walk away from the car, he realized they were on a hill, almost a cliff. And there was no one in sight.

Liam winced when he heard the door slam shut. He got out of the car and came up behind Will. Circling his arms around the other man's waist, he held him close to his body.

"Why did you bring me here?" Will whispered softly.

"I don't know. This is my place. I come here to think and relax. I guess I thought you might like it." When he didn't hear him say anything, he continued. "Look up at the sky," he whispered into Will's ear.

He did as Liam requested and saw the stars. Thousands of little lights that lit up the sky. "It's beautiful, luv."

Liam felt Will slightly lean against him. He wanted to touch the other man so much. Taking a deep breath, he leaned his head down and started placing soft kisses along the side of his neck.

Will leaned his head to the side, giving Liam more access. He let out a contented sigh and felt like he could melt into him. That seemed to be about the time when Liam stopped kissing him. "You stopped."

"Yeah. I'm unsure about you."

"Unsure?"

"I mean I don't know what you like or if you even like me and I..."

"I would, ya know?"

Liam was confused. "You would what?"

"Earlier, I said you acted like you wanted me for yours."

"The question from earlier," Liam stated.

"Yeah. I don't know if you really want me like that, but I do. I'd be yours if you wanted me to. Only yours." And it was in that moment that time seemed to freeze. Will heard complete silence and closed his eyes. He just knew he had screwed things up somehow.

"Will?" Liam whispered.

"Yeah," he said sadly.

"Will you turn around?"

"Do I have to? Look, I'm sure you don't want me like I want you, and this was all just..."

"Turn around," Liam requested, again. There was more force in his voice. But Will heard the same fears in his voice that he knew would be in his own.

Will felt Liam's hold on him loosen and he turned around slowly. He saw the man's dark eyes watching him closely.

Liam brought his hand up to Will's face, lightly brushing it against his cheek. He felt Will lean into his touch and smiled. "Did you mean what you said? That you would be ONLY mine."

"Yeah," he replied shyly. "I mean if you want me like that."

Liam had heard enough. Of course he wanted him like that. Pressing his lips against Will's, he kissed him hard. He reached out and pulled the other man closer as he felt Will's hands sliding down his body. Will was his. His mind, heart and body were practically screaming it.

Will felt Liam pull him closer and started to run his hands down his body. He needed to touch him. He needed to know this was real and not some kind of dream he was having. He could practically feel sparks every time they touched. Every time they kissed. And it only got stronger with every passing second.

Liam wanted him so badly but knew he couldn't do this. Not like this. Even if everything in his body was disagreeing with him. He pulled away, trying to calm his breath. "We can't do this."

"Why the bloody hell not? I barely know you but every chance...every bloody chance you push me away or block me out."

"I don't want to screw up, ok?"

"This isn't difficult, Liam. Either you want me or you don't. Don't play games with me though."

"So, what? You just want me to fuck you and that's it?"

The harshness of his statement made Will wince. "Not what I said, luv."

"I thought I felt something with you. But I guess not. Looks like I should take you home, huh?"

"Yeah, I guess so," Will replied sadly.
