Though I've tried before to tell her
Of the feelings I have for her in my heart.
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve as I've done from the start
Spike stood outside of Willow's parents house, where she had opted
to stay the night. He lit up another cigarette and took a deep drag.
It had been two weeks since he had discovered his feelings for the
redhead. Every time he tried to be alone with Willow to share
his feelings,
the bloody Slayer would show up, whining about how he's going to miss
her.
Tonight was the first time Spike had been alone with the little witch.
He
had walked her home. Buffy was still at the Magic Stop with the
Watcher.
He and Willow had talked about the evening's events, and made
conversation. She was so amazing to him: highly intelligent, fascinated
by
the simplest things, and an innocent. She would laugh in my bloody
undead
face, he thought to himself. So, he hadn't told her.
Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she does just turns me on.
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on.
Now, he stood outside watching his redhead get ready for bed. She
was wearing a tank top and flannel pajama pants. She was the most beautiful
creature he had ever seen. Why would she want him?
Well, I have to tell a story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met
It's a big enough umbrella
But, it's always me that ends up getting wet
Ever since he had kidnapped her to do the love spell, he'd seen a
fire in her eyes that made him want her. He stood there trying to figure
out
what kind of drugs someone had put in his blood to make him want the
Slayer.
That was the biggest mistake of his life. She was worse than Harm.
But
Willow...there was a vision.
Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she does just turns me on.
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on.
He started pacing in the shadows. He lit up another cigarette
and
plotted his strategy for making her listen. He was Spike, William the
Bloody, half of the Scourge of Europe. Why was he scared of talking
to one
little redhead? He stood up straight, and headed towards the
front door. He
was going to do this, damn it!
I resolve to call her up
A thousand times a day
And ask her if she'll marry me
In some old fashioned way.
The blonde vampire walked up the front steps and stopped. He took
a
deep, unneeded breath and raised his hand to knock on the door. And
stopped.
But my silent fears have gripped me
Right before I reach phone
And before my tongue has tripped me
Must I always be alone?
Spike turned and began to walk away when the door opened.
"Spike?" It was Willow. He turned around.
"Hey Red." He said in his aloof way, hoping she couldn't tell how
nervous he was.
"I thought I heard someone out here." The redhead continued. "Is
everything okay?"
"No," Spike replied, avoiding her eyes.
"Do you want to come in?"
"You're inviting me in?"
"Hell-o!" She answered with a smile. "Would I have asked if you
wanted to?"
Spike smiled as she moved aside, and walked in. He sat down on
a
recliner and tried to be nonchalant about where he was.
"So," they both started, and laughed.
"You first," he said with his trademark smirk.
"I wasn't the one standing outside, Mr. Vampire Man! You first."
He looked at the playful defiance in her eyes, and melted. This
was
what he wanted. To be with Willow. To talk to Willow. To
show her how much
he cared.
Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she does just turns me on.
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on.
"Well, it's like this," he started. " I made a mistake."
Willow's eyes dropped. The playful look was replaced with a look of
sadness and disappointment.
"Oh," she replied. "You made a mistake coming here. I understand."
"No, you don't!" He answered, understanding what she thought he
meant. "Willow, look at me." She kept her head down as he got
up from the
recliner and knelt in front of her as she sat on the sofa. "I made
a mistake
with the Slayer."
"Oh," was all the redhead could muster.
"Will you open your bloody eyes, Red?!" He said. "I'm so in love
with you, I can't even see straight."
Willow looked into Spike's eyes. She saw the love and honesty in his
clear blue eyes.
"Spike, I," she started. "What about Buffy?"
"I'm not in love with Buffy, Pet." He replied. "I'm in love with
you."
"And I'm in love with you." She answered with a smile.
The End
