Different kinds of people
Different kinds of life
We go walking towards the future,
With different size strides.

"Wills, relax." Buffy said trying to calm her best friend. "You were
ready in record time. He's not supposed to be here for another few
minutes."
Willow paced her living room. She was ready 20 minutes early. She
couldn't help it. It was Spike: the love of her life. She was wearing
a silk
hunter green halter-top, a black silk ankle length skirt with a slit
up to
her mid thigh, and black shoes with a medium heel.
"Would it help any if I told you that you look amazing?" Buffy
asked, sincerity in her voice. "Because you do look amazing."
"Thanks Buffy." The redhead replied as she stopped pacing. "I'm
sorry. I'm just so nervous. I mean, what if we're too different?"
"Will, I'll tell you this one last time: relax. Have fun." She stood
and Willow gave her a big hug.
"Thanks for understanding, Buffy. I know the whole me and Spike
thing was a surprise to everyone."
"Except Xander." Buffy added.
"Yeah, what was that about?" Willow asked as they pulled apart.
Before the Slayer could reply, there was a knock at the door. She
smiled at her best friend. "Deep breath. He loves you. I can see it
in the
way he looks at you." She paused. "But make him prove it!"
The two girls giggled as Buffy went to open the door.

Show me the way to solve your sorrows
And I'll do what I can.
'Cause we have the experience,
If we plan
Baby we can see that close
Show me the way to solve your problems and I'll be there
Show me the way and I'll do what I can
What can I say, oh lately what can I do?
I just can't stand losing...

The Slayer couldn't believe her eyes. Here was 'The Big Bad' looking
like a civilized gentleman. He was wearing a charcoal suit with a gray
shirt
that brought out his eyes just that much more. He had not only gotten
his
haircut, but dyed to its original color. {Holy Shit! He is hot!} Buffy
kept
thinking. But she couldn't actually form words.
"Wow, the Slayer speechless." Spike said in his usual drawl. "Mental
note: dress up and Slutty will shut up."
"You had to ruin it by opening your mouth, didn't you?" Buffy said.
"Just point me to Red, and we'll call it even." Buffy pointed.
"Hi Spike." Willow said nervously. Spike looked at the redhead. If
his heart did beat, it would have stopped right then. {She's a vision}
Spike
thought to himself. He just stood there, staring.
"Well, now look who's speechless."
"Buffy," Willow warned.
"Fine, I'm out of here." Buffy said as she walked past the vampire.
"Hurt her again, and I'll torture you before I kill you."
Spike waited for the Slayer to leave. He then walked towards Willow.
"I meant what I said. I'll never hurt you." He reached her and stopped.
"You
are so beautiful."

Welcome to the new world.
Let me join your hand
We go walking through the old world,
With a brand-new plan all over

"So, what now?" Willow asked.
"Now, we go to dinner, Miss Rosenberg." He offered his arm to her
and she took it. The two strolled out the door.
Once they were outside, Willow stopped in her tracks and gasped. She
was standing in front of a stretch limo.
"But Spike... But how?" She managed to stammer.
"Only the best for you, Luv." Spike said with his trademark smirk.
{Wow. The man could have fusia hair and still be the most beautiful
creature on earth. And he's treating me like a queen! Relax Willow.
Deep
breaths.}
"You are a man of many surprises..." She started to say as they
settled into the limo and Spike proceeded to pour them a drink.
"What? Finish your thought, Pet." Spike said.
"If I ask, will you tell me?" She asked. {Here comes the big test}
"Anything." He said, as he looked her in the eyes.
"What's your full name, William?"
Spike took Willow's hand and kissed it. Then, he looked into her
eyes once more as he said, "William Bradley Pfeiffer at your service."

God only knows how much I love you.
Give me a chance and I'll show faith all over
You will understand lady, if you change your mind,
Baby only I'll know what you need

Dinner was a plethora of information being thrown back and forth.
Willow had never been happier. Spike was sure he was in heaven. After
dinner, they decided to forgo the limo ride and take a walk. The two
were
walking hand in hand in a comfortable silence. Finally the redhead
broke the
silence.
"Can I ask you one more thing?"
"Of course, Luv."
"Why the new 'do'?"
"What, you don't like it?" Spike asked, disappointed.
"No, I like it! It's not that." Willow protested. "Was it for me?"
"I figured you'd be better off with a normal-looking guy."
She stopped and made him face her. "You are the most beautiful and
wonderful man in the world. I don't care what your hair color is. I
don't
care what you wear. I care about the fact that you were a poet and
you
shared that with me. I care about the way you're looking at me right
now. I
care that you went through all of this trouble to try and please me.
I care
that you want to be with me. I care that you really do love me."
"I do, you know." Spike answered. "I promise to never hurt you
again, my Willow."
**
Show me the way to solve your problems and I'll be there
Show me the way and I'll do what I can
What can I say, oh lately what can I do?
I just can't stand...
...I just can't stand losing you
Don't mean to take up your time, baby
I won't be stomping on your life.
I only wanted to make you see
Oh, that you
Only you know what I need
Then maybe I can take you higher
Then maybe I can stop those tears...I can stop those tears
Oh, with you....

The two walked back towards the limo. Both knew that their lives
were about to change for the better.
