~Part: 1~
“Come on Giles, puh-lease?!” Buffy had been pleading with him for the last hour to go to the Bronze. Giles pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.
“Fine, fine, fine!!” He yelled. Buffy turned around and smiled to her friends that were sitting around the table.
“I told you he would give in.” Buffy mocked. Everyone began to put everything away.
“Hey Buffy, tonight is Karaoke night.” Willow said excitedly.
“I know.” Buffy said with a smile.
The gang all drove to the Bronze. Willow and Spike rode in her car with Xander and Anya in the backseat. Giles drove Dawn and Buffy over. Dawn was so excited because Buffy never wanted her to go to the Bronze. Tonight she had reconsidered. Buffy wanted to share her last night with her friends.
The night before Buffy tossed and turned. She had nightmares about Glory. They had frightened her more than anything in the world. She had seen her friends lay dead before her and their blood was on her hands. She cried in her sleep. She finally woke up at 1:45am. Buffy’s face was tear stained and she hadn’t slept a wink. She got out of bed and walked down the hall past everyone’s room to make sure they were okay. Every one was sound asleep in their beds. She went outside and sat on the porch. The night was quiet and still. She just sat and thought to herself. She asked herself, “What would the first slayer do?” Buffy instantly had the answer as soon as she thought the question. Reenergized and calmed she went back to bed.
“So who’s going to sing tonight?” Buffy asked as the gang made their way to some booths near the front. Spike looked back at her as he walked ahead and snickered to himself.
“I think Red here should sing a lil’ song tonight.” Spike said as he smiled at Willow.
“Hardy har har Spike.” Willow said annoyingly.
“Oh come on Wills, you sing so well.” Xander exclaimed.
“Yeah Willow.” Dawn chimed in.
“Dawnie, you’ve never heard me sing before.” Willow said as she pushed Xander into the booth as she sat beside him.
“All the better then huh?” Dawn said with a smile.
“Alright but Anya picks the song.” Willow said as she looked over at the girl and smiled.
Anya smiled back at Willow. She had learned that being human required you to have friends and Willow was one of her friends.
“Goody!! Any song?” she asked in a kid-like voice.
“Yep!!”
“Okay how about, Goodbye by The Spice Girls?” Anya asked. All of the guys groaned. Even Giles groaned out loud.
“Bloody hell Pet couldn’t you do better than that?” Spike asked.
“Oh shut up Spike.” Anya said
“Its okay guys, I don’t mind.” Willow said with a smile. Buffy looked over at Willow and mouthed “Go get em’.” Willow smiled back as she locked eyes with Spike. He smiled at her and winked. Willow’s stomach did flip flops every time that he smiled at her. Anya slide out from the booth from beside Xander. She ran over to the man who was working the karaoke machine tonight. She out her request in for “Goodbye.” She moved through the crowd towards the table occupied by the Scooby’s.
“Okay, our request is in.” she said with a smile.
“Cool!!” Buffy said with a smile. She hadn’t smiled in what seemed like months and every one noticed. A slow song began to play out of the speakers.
“Hey Giles.”
“Yes Buffy?” Giles replied as he took off his glasses and cleaned them with his shirt.
“Will you dance with me?” she asked shyly.
“Uh, sure.” Giles slide out from the table and took a hold of Buffy’s hand and walked out on to the dance floor. Buffy put her head on his shoulder as the music moved them through the song. Soon after Dawn joined them with one of the guys at the Bronze.
“Hey An.” Xander said quietly as he leaned towards her.
“Yeah Xander.”
“Will you dance with me?” He asked shyly.
“Sure, couldn’t hurt.” She grabbed his hand and pulled him onto the dance floor.
“That is so cute huh Spike?” Willow waited for him to answer and got nothing. She looked over in his direction. Of course she was left there by herself. She scanned the room for him and saw him at the bar. She got up and walked towards him. Willow poked Spike in the back.
“Oww. Bloody hell Pet.” Spike said.
“Hey thanks for leaving me there all by my lonesome.” Willow said with fake hurt.
“Oh yeah sorry about that. Just needed a drink.” Spike threw back his shot of whiskey and grabbed Willow’s hand.
“Spike what are you doing?” Willow said to his back as she was being dragged across the dance floor to where the rest of her friends were.
“We’re going to dance Luv, what else are we gonna do?” Spike said to Willow as he looked into her eyes and smiled. Her stomach fluttered in response.
“Okay.” She squeaked out. H e put his hand on the small of her back and brought her closer to him. He felt her heart speed up. He pulled back and put his forehead against hers and looked into her eyes.
“Relax, Red. I gotcha.” Willow’s heart slowed down as Spike looked into her eyes.
“I know you do Spike.” Willow leaned back into Spike and placed her head on his shoulder. The music played for a few more minutes. Everyone had stopped dancing and looked at Willow and Spike. They were still swaying to their on song. Buffy smiled.
“Let’s wait for them at the table.” She said through small giggles. Everyone turned and followed Buffy back to the table. Finally Willow and Spike looked up and realized that there was a fast song playing and went to sit down.
“Hey guys why didn’t you guys tell us that the song was over?” Willow asked. Anya nearly choked on the drink that Xander had brought over to her as she stared to laugh.
“Because you two looked so cute.” Dawn chimed in. Everyone nodded in agreement. Willow turned a blushing shade of red and started to giggle. She looked over at Spike and he smiled in her direction.
“Willow please come the stage.” Trent the D.J. called her from over the loud speakers. Willow turned around and slid out from her seat. She went up and talked to Trent as she took he place on stage. Spike growled as Trent put his hand on Willow’s shoulder as he explained what to do. Buffy turned in Spike’s direction and laughed. Spike’s eyes flicked amber as she looked in his direction.
“What the bloody hell are you laughin’ at Slayer?” Spike said in his own defense.
“I’m laughing at you. I could have sworn that I heard you growl.” All eyes were on Spike at that point.
“I bloody hell did not!!” Spike said as his voice began to rise. Buffy laughed. She turned her head in the direction as she heard Willow speak into the microphone.
“Test. 1. 2. 3. Test.” Willow smiled. The mic was working and she was ready to start her song. The music started to play behind her and her body began to sway with the beat.
No no no no, no no no no, no no no no.
Willow smiled and looked out into the crowd.

Buffy held Giles’ hand as Willow sang. Giles squeezed her hand and looked at her. He caught the tear that had fallen from her eye with his thumb.

Dawnie looked at Willow in awe. She never knew Willow had so much voice. Anya smiled at Xander and put her head on his shoulder. They had never been this close since their break up. Xander leaned his head on top of hers and sighed in content.

Willow looked right at Spike. He could feel her green eyes cut right through him. She felt all the love she needed as she looked into his eyes. She was so far away but she could tell he was looking back at her.

Willow looked towards Xander and Anya. In her heart they were supposed to be together. They had just come to a fork in the road and stopped traffic. She sent love their way as she swayed to the music.

The crowd at the Bronze clapped as Willow kept singing. She even had a few standing ovations. Couples on the dance floor held onto one another like their lives depended on it.

The music faded away as Willow and the crowd of couples kept swaying. The gang sat in their chairs enthralled. They were all touched in their on way. Willow gave the mic back to Trent. He smiled in her direction.
“You were great!” He said enthusiastically.
“Thanks!” Willow said with a smile.
She walked back from the stage and over to her friends. Other people began requesting to sing songs as she walked away.
“How was I?” she asked innocently.
Everyone began to talk all at once. They had all thought that she was fantastic. Spike just sat and looked at her and didn’t say anything. Everyone else got up and went to dance as she and Spike just sat there. Willow looked over at Spike. He was staring at her and she knew it. She stared back at him.
“Spike. Earth to Spike. Are you there?” Willow said to him. Spike finally blinked. He shook his head as if he were clearing his mind.
“Pet you were wonderful.” Spike said lowly. Willow wouldn’t have heard him if she wasn’t looking right at his lips. She smiled to herself. Spike reached his hand across the table and took her hand into his. He pulled her over to him.
“Thanks Spike.” Willow said nervously. She bit her bottom lip. Spike put his forehead onto hers. He leaned in and kissed her with all of his being. Willow pulled back to catch her breath.
“I was thinking wow. What about you?” Spike asked her with that cocky grin that he always had.
“Yeah, better than wow.” Willow said as she started to giggle. Spike held her in his arms. He had never felt so safe and so comfortable with Willow in his arms. Willow sighed as Spike held her. She knew they were going to be together forever.
~Part: 2~
Everyone returned to the table from dancing. Anya plopped down next Willow and pulled Xander along with her. Dawn, Buffy, and Giles stood in front of the table. Everyone was caught up in their own conversations. Willow laid her head on Spike’s shoulder and sighed.
“What’s wrong Pet?” Spike asked quietly as he played with her fingertips.
“Nothing. I’m just a little tired.” Willow responded with a yawn. Dawn yawned as she glanced over at Willow.
“Hey! None of that. Yawning is contagious.” Dawn replied.
“Sorry Dawnie.” Willow said with a smile. Buffy smiled at all of her friends. Still clinging to Giles’ hand, she leaned her weight on to him. Giles looked down at his Slayer and smiled.
“Buffy, I think it’s time we get everyone home.” Giles said as he looked into her eyes. Buffy nodded in agreement.
“Okay guys, let’s get out of here.” Buffy said to the table. Everyone said okay in unison and began to climb out of the booth. Buffy and Giles took the lead still hand in hand. Dawn followed right behind them.
“Come on guys!!” Dawn called over her shoulder. She smiled as she saw Xander and Anya holding hands.
“We’re right behind you Niblet.” Xander called up to Dawn. Xander let go of Anya’s hand and put his arm around her to bring her closer. Anya smiled and kissed Xander on his jaw.
Willow smiled as she saw Anya and Xander together. They were going to get back together. Spike smiled as he looked at Willow. He had never imagined feeling this much happiness and this much love. He’d go to the end of the world and back for her.
“Penny for your thoughts Luv.” Spike said to Willow. Willow smiled as she looked up into his blue eyes.
“I was just thinking how perfect this all is. Being here with all of my friends and with you.” She said as her face blushed a slight pink. Spike smiled at the person who held is heart. He placed a soft kiss on her lips as they followed the group out to their cars.
