~Part 1~ Don't Want You Back

~You hit me faster than a shark attack
You saw my picture on the backstreet’s back
And you were more than just a pretty face
But how you fooled me I’m still amazed
But I should have know that I would be another victim
of your sexuality
But now we’re done and over with~

Willow tore the edges of the note paper in her hands.
With determination, she flattened the crinkled page
against the table. She reviewed her notes
methodically. She always studied for everything so
why not study and prepare for breaking up with her
boyfriend. It had taken her three days to list out
the reasons behind her decision. Monica. Sharon.
Kathi, with an I. Tanya. Sarah. Cathy, a different
one with a c and a y. Barbara. The final straw was
the last name on the list. Buffy.

Willow tightened her shaking hands into fists. She’d
know Oz hadn’t been faithful to her for a while, but
when her best friend confessed he’d hit on her, Willow
saw red. If he thought he could try and cheat on her
with her friend he had another thing coming. She’d
turned a blind eye to his actions only because he was
the first real boyfriend she’d had. If you didn’t
count Malcolm Black, and considering he was actually
Moloch the Corrupter Willow tended to cross him off
her lists of exes. The door opened and she looked up.

~Don’t want you back
Cuz you’re no good for me I know
That’s all I can say
Forgive my honesty
But you got to go
I don’t want you back~

“Willow? Devon said you were looking for me,” Oz said
as he walked into the room. He leaned down to give
her a kiss, but she pulled away. “Baby, what’s
wrong?”

The angry red head pushed the paper in his direction
as she gave him an icy stare.

He glanced at the list of names. “What’s this?”

“You mean you didn’t even bother to ask their names
before you slept with them?” she asked.

Oz realized he’d been caught. “Oh.”

“Yeah, oh. It’s over, Oz.” She reached for her bag.

He reached out and grabbed her arm. “Baby, it’s not
like that. Come on, you know I love you,”

~You started going out with so called friends
But I was blinded so I lost all common sense
But there were thing that made me realize
Like all the hundred thousand lies~

“Really?” she asked. “It doesn’t look that way.”

Oz held her by her shoulders and looked deep into her
green eyes. “Of course I love you. Those girls
didn’t mean anything to me.”

“Even Buffy? What were you thinking hitting on my
best friend? Did you not think she would tell me?”
she asked exasperated.

He had to hesitate at that one. “I don’t know. I had
a lot to drink that night.”

~Don’t bother telling me you’re reasons why
Let’s just end this story about you and I
Don’t want you back
That’s all I know
All I can say
Don’t want you back
You know you got to go

Willow shrugged off his touch. “You know what? It
doesn’t matter,” she sighed.

He smiled. “That’s my Willow.” When he took a step
closer, he was surprised to see her step away.

“No. I’m not your Willow anymore. You gave up that
right. I don’t want to hear any excuses. It’s over.”
She slid her bag over her shoulder and walked to the
door.

“I forgave you,” he barked at her.

Her hand paused over the doorknob. “What?”

“You heard me. I forgave you that thing with Xander.”
Oz paced the small room. “You think I forgot about
that? I forgave you but I didn’t forget.”

Willow looked over her shoulder at him. “Is that what
this was? You slept with those women to get back at
me for _kissing_ Xander?”

He paused in mid-stride at the absurdity of the idea.
“Maybe.”

The red head gave him a sad smile. “Then maybe it’s a
good thing we’re breaking up.” She opened the door,
stepped into the hallway and shut it quietly behind
her.

~Part 2~ Spice Up Your Life

~Slam it to the left
If you’re having a good time
Shake it to the right
If you know that you feel fine
Chicas to the front
Uh Uh go round
Slam it to the left
If you’re having a good time
Shake it to the right
If you know that you feel fine
Chicas to the front
Hi Ci Ya Hold tight~

Willow moved in time to the music that blared through
the club. It had been a month since she broke it off
with Oz. She’d spent a week moping around before she
decided she needed to get on with life. Buffy had
suggested going to a club one night and the red head
found she could lose herself in the mass of people
gyrating to the DJ’s beat. She never found herself in
want of a partner. In fact, she had to turn them
away. Maybe it was her care free attitude. Maybe it
was her dance moves. Or quite possibly it was the
tight low cut clothes she’d poured herself into.

Buffy threw herself onto the couch in the corner.
Sweat beaded along her brow. A cold drink appeared
before her eyes. She glanced up at Xander who just
returned from the bar. “Thanks.”

“Is she still out there?” he asked pointing to the
dance floor with his drink.

“Yep. I know I’m the Slayer, but she wears me out.”
Buffy took a long sip of the ice water.

Xander tried to catch sight of the red head out on the
floor. “I used to think that breaking up with Oz was
a good thing for her, but now I’m not so sure,” he
said over the music.

“Bloody hell it wasn’t,” a voice growled from the
shadows. A cloud of silver smoke obscured Spike’s
face as he exhaled. “Bastard couldn’t keep it in his
pants.”

“Well, I didn’t mean it like that,” Xander snapped.
“I meant it turned Willow into some wild woman.
Barely recognize her in those new clothes.”

Spike glared at the moron. “She’s just cutting loose.
Bout time if you ask me.”

Buffy studied the blonde vampire carefully. “No one
asked you, Spike.”

His blue eyes met the Slayer’s. “Like I bloody care.”
He crushed out his cigarette and pushed himself off
the couch.

~Flamenco
Lambada
But Hip Hop is harder
We moon walk the fox-trot
Then polka the salsa
Shake shake shake haka
Shake shake shake haka~

Spike moved through the crowd until he stood behind
the red head. He watched her slim body sway and grind
to the music. His eyes fell on her leather encased
hips. He was definitely man enough to appreciate the
way the forest green pants hugged her hips and thighs.
On impulse he reached out and touched her bare waist.

Willow felt the cool hands on her hot skin. Since she
danced with her eyes closed, she simply moved back
against the touch. Her bare back brushed against a
strong chest. She moved her hips seductively against
her new partner. A hand slid around her waist and a
fingertip dipped into her exposed navel. Someone
tried to join them by moving closer to her front but a
low growl caused the intruder to back away.

Spike glared at the frat boy who tried to move in on
his dance. He wasn’t much for dancing so he let her
move against him while his hands skimmed along her
bare skin. His grip was loose enough to allow her to
turn freely, but secure enough she couldn’t move from
his arms.

She turned in his arms and opened her eyes. “Hey,
Spike,” she said with a smile.

“Pet,” he answered. “Having fun?”

“Of course.” She felt his hands tighten on her waist
as she leaned back. With a giggle, she fell back
until her hair almost brushed the floor. Willow knew
instinctively that Spike wouldn’t drop her. She used
her stomach muscles to pull herself up right again.
“How about you?”

“I’m not complaining.”

~Colours of the world
Spice up your life
Every boy and girl
Spike up your life
Every boy and girl Spice up your life
People of the world
Spice up your life
aaahh!!!~

Buffy and Xander watched the red head dance with the
vampire. She had to smile at the way Spike touched
her best friend. Xander, on the other hand, had a
frown across his face. “You don’t think,” he started.

“Oh, yeah. I do. I wonder how long it will take,”
Buffy said as she drained her glass and sucked an ice
cube into her mouth.

Xander groaned and shook his head. “Does this mean I
have to be nice to him?” he asked.

“You weren’t nice to Angel when I dated him so I don’t
see why you’d have to be nice to Spike,” she said.

“Yeah, but I don’t have a crush on Willow,” he said
absently.

Buffy turned to her friend. “You had a crush on me?”

He realized what he said and groaned. “Me and my big
mouth.”

~Part 3~ It's Gonna Be Me

~You might've been hurt babe
That ain't no lie
You've seen them all come and go, oh
I remember you told me
That it made you believe in
No man, no cry
Maybe that's why~

"Come on, Pet," Spike cajoled.  He glanced down at the
red head snuggled into his chest.  His fingers brushed
through her hair.  "Is he really worth all these
tears?"

Willow sniffed as she pushed herself away from him.
"You're right."

He smiled at her stubborn look.  "Course I am."

"How dare he stand me up?  Just who does he think he
is?" she asked rhetorically.  Her anger gave her teary
eyes a fascinating new gleam.

"That's right," the blonde vampire said supportively.

"Men are such dogs," she said.  With a determined
huff, she set off for the bathroom to wash her face.

Spike stared at the closed door.  "Not all of us," he
muttered.  He moved to a chair by the window and lit
up a cigarette.  He'd watch Willow for the past three
months cut loose and fit from one guy to the next.
The last git she'd dated seemed to be fairly serious;
she'd gone out with him for a week straight.  When he
didn't show up for their date tonight, the red head
had called him in tears.  Spike had come over right
away to cheer her tears away.  He knew she wasn't
upset over being stood up.  She'd been acting out of
character for the last three months and the strain was
finally catching up to her.

He stared out into the night.  He only wished she
could see him in the role of romantic lead instead of
just a supporting role.  He'd loved her for a long
time, probably since he'd seen her for the first time.
There was just something about her that brought out
his protective, loving side.  He'd fought the emotions
for a while, but after she dumped the wolf he gave up
the fruitless ambition.  Now he just had to wait until
she saw him in that new light.

~Every little thing I do
Never seems enough for you
You don't wanna lose it again
But I'm not like them
Baby, when you finally
Get to lose somebody
Guess what
It's gonna be me~

Willow bounced over to a table at the back of the
Bronze.  "Hey, Spike," she greeted the blonde vampire
sitting there.  She leaned over and kissed his cheek.
She turned to the guy behind her.  "Spike, this is
Ron."

"Rob," the college boy said.

She looked at him confused.  "Sorry?"

"Rob.  My name is Rob, not Ron," he explained.

"Oh,  sorry about that.  Rob.  Spike, keep Rob company
while I go to the bathroom," she said before she
turned on her heel and rushed off to the other side of
the club.

Rob stared after the energetic red head.  "She's
something else, isn't she?"

Spike stared at the golden boy.  "Yeah."

Rob leaned closer to him.  "I'll bet she's great in
the sack, too," he chuckled.  "Anybody who dances like
that has to be able to move between the sheets.

The vampire glanced around and grinned before he
leaned closer.  He motioned the boy closer.  Rob
leaned forward to hear the secret.   "You even bloody
try to find out and I'll rip your arms off and beat
you with them," he chuckled.  He let his demon come
forward to play as he smirked at him.  Rob's brown
eyes widened at the sight before him.  Quickly, he
stumbled back and raced for the door.  "Was it
something I said?" he asked.

Willow returned to the table.  She took a gulp of
Spike's drink to wet her parched throat.  "Hey, where
did Ron go?" she asked.

"Don't know," Spike shrugged.  "Guess he had a
pressing appointment."

A look of vague disappointment crossed her face before
it lit up with a grin.  "Oh, well. Come on.  Let's
dance."  She grabbed his hand to pull him to the
floor.

~You've got no choice babe
But to move on, you know
There ain't no time to waste, cause you're just
Too blind to see
But in the end you know it's gonna be me
You can't deny
So just tell me why~

"So what are you and Spike going to do tonight?"
Buffy asked as she stuffed her books in her backpack.

Willow glanced up at her friend.  "What makes you
think Spike and I are doing something?"

The two coeds left the class room and headed for the
cafeteria.  "Are you kidding?  The two of you have
been practically inseparable for the last few months.
Hell, he's even gone on a couple of dates with you.
Much to the disappointment of your boyfriends."

"Have we really been spending that much time together?
I never realized.   It's just that he's been so nice
to me since I broke up with Oz.  Not that you haven't
been too," she quickly clarified.  The Slayer just
nodded her understanding.  "I don't know.  He's just
there.  But in a non-boyfriend kind of way."

"Much to his disappointment," Buffy muttered.

"What?"

"Willow, you have to see that Spike likes you," the
blonde sighed.  Sometimes her smart friend could be an
idiot.

Willow grabbed a tray when they entered the cafeteria.
"Of course, he likes me.  He wouldn't spend so much
time with me if he didn't.  I like him, too."

Buffy pulled a plate of lasagna onto her tray.  "I
mean he likes you likes you.  In more than just a
friend capacity."

"No, he doesn't.  Does he?" the red head asked as she
searched for something to eat.  She grabbed a couple
pieces of fruit and found a sandwich that didn't make
her want to vomit.  *I wonder what these people are
thinking when they make this junk?* she asked herself.

Buffy rolled her eyes as she moved to the check out.
"Duh!  Even Xander can see it.  And it's driving him
crazy.  He doesn't want to be nice to Spike."

"Why would Xander have to be nice to Spike?  Not that
there's really a reason to be mean to him," she said.
She pulled her wallet from her bag.

"If you and Spike were dating, you'd make Xan be nice
to him," Buffy explained.

"Oh."

~There comes a day
When I'll be the one
You'll see
It's gonna...it's gonna be me
All that I do
Is not enough for you
Don't wanna lose it
But I'm not like that
When finally you get to love
Guess what, guess what~

Willow pushed the rewind button on the remote control.
 "Spike?"

The blonde vampire looked through the selection of
tapes Willow had rented for their movie marathon.
"Yeah?"

She glanced at him nervously.  Ever since her
conversation with Buffy yesterday afternoon, it had
been bothering her.  "Can I ask you something?"

*Sound of Music, South Pacific, Mame,  Into the Woods.
Was there a special on musicals at the video store?*
he wondered.  "Sure, pet.  Anything."  He pulled Into
the Woods out of the pile.

"Um."  She released an embarrassed chuckle.  "It's
kind of funny actually.  See the other day Buffy was
telling me something and I don't know.  It's silly,
but it's been bugging me."

He knelt before the VCR and ejected A Chorus Line.
"Why don't you just ask your question?" he said.  He
slipped the tape into the machine.

"See.  Buffy said something."

"You said that already," he said as he sat on the
couch.

"Yeah,  okay.  Well, she said that you liked me.
Isn't that silly?" she said as she looked at him.

"Definitely silly," he answered.

"And that's what I told her," Willow said.  In her
heart she felt a weight of disappointment.

"I don't like you.  I love you," he said as he stared
into her emerald eyes.

~Part 4~ Sometimes

~You tell me you're in love with me
Like you can't take your pretty eyes away from me
It's that I don't want to stay
But every time you come too close I move away~

Willow stared blindly out the window.  Her thoughts
kept drifting away from the heavy psych book in front
of her.  *Spike loves me,* she thought.  *Why did he
have to tell me?*  It wasn't that she didn't care
about Spike.  Even somewhere deep inside she thought
she loved him, too, but now that he'd told her Willow
couldn't be herself around him.  She felt nervous when
he was near.  She was conscious of her body when she
moved and her words when she spoke.  It was driving
her crazy.  And he seemed to notice the change in her
too.

"Willow!"  Buffy called sharply.  It earned her a few
"shh!"s from the other library patrons.  "What?" she
snapped at them in a hushed voice.

The red head snapped her attention to the blonde
across the table from her.  "Huh?"

"What's the deal, Will?  You've been staring into
space for the last hour," she said.

Willow dropped her head on top of her open book.  "Why
did you have to tell me Spike liked me?" she moaned.

Buffy pushed her psych book aside.  She wasn't
studying anyway.  "What happened?"

"I asked him about it," she mumbled as she rocked her
head back and forth.

The Slayer knelt on the chair and leaned across the
table.  "What did he say?"

Willow raised her head and looked at her best friend.
"He said he loved me.  Why did he do that?  Why did he
have to change everything?"

Buffy reached out and moved a lock of the red hair out
of her friend's eyes.  "Is it really that bad?  I
thought you used to have a crush on him."

"I did.  But now I'm all self-conscious around him.
He makes me nervous."

"I'm sorry, baby," the Slayer said sympathetically.
She never wanted her friend to be nervous around
Spike.  Now she was sorry she'd said anything.

~I wanna believe in everything you say
Cause it sounds so good
But if you really want me, move slow
There's things about me you just have to know~

Willow danced in the middle of the crowded Bronze.  A
cool hand touched her bare waist.  Startled she turned
to find Spike standing behind her.  "Spike!"

"Pet," he said.  He moved closer to dance with her.
When she stiffened against him, he loosened his grip
so she could move away.  He frowned at the slight.
*Never should have said anything,* he thought as he
turned on his heel and left the club.

~Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right, be with you day and night
Baby all I need is time~

Willow cried into her pillow.  After Spike had left
the Bronze she found Buffy and told her she was going
home.  Suddenly, a night of dancing didn't seem like
fun anymore.  "Why did I pull away?" she asked
herself.  "I didn't want to hurt him."  A sob cut
through the dark room.  "Why did he leave?" she
moaned.  It wasn't like Spike to just give up.  And
she couldn't even call him to make her feel better.

She brushed the tears from her cheeks and rolled over
onto her stomach.  "Why can't I call him?" she asked
as she reached for the phone.  In the dark she pushed
the speed dial to Spike's number.  Putting the
receiver to her ear she waited.  And waited.  No
answer.  "Damn," she muttered as she stabbed the talk
button on her cordless phone.

~I don't wanna be so shy
Every time that I'm alone I wonder why
Hope that you will wait for me
You'll see that you're the only one for me~

Xander watched Spike and Willow sneak glances at each
other from across the room.  His eyes darted back and
forth like a tennis match.  He leaned closer to Buffy.
 "What happened?" he whispered.

"He told her he loves her," she whispered back.  She'd
been watching the pair closely.  She noticed the
guarded expression on the vampire's face.  And she
recognized the shy, self-conscious girl she'd first
met.  Something, or someone, had to give soon.

"Yeah, that usually pisses women off," Xander muttered
as he continued to watch Willow and Spike tread around
each other carefully.

~I wanna believe in everything that you say
Cause it sound so good
But if you really want me, move slow
There's things about me you just have to know~

Willow curled into the chair by the window.  Her eyes
gazed sightlessly out the window.  She could smell the
faint scent of stale cigarettes and leather.  Turning
her head she inhaled the upholstery of the chair.
Spike usually sat here to smoke his cigarettes.
"What's wrong with me?" she asked herself.  "I miss
Spike."

She returned her attention to the window and a
movement in the shadows caused her to sit up.  Leaning
forward she tried to make out shapes in the shadows.
It must have been her imagination, but one shadow in
particular looked like a Spike shaped shadow.  Willow
grinned as she curled back into the chair.   Even a
Spike shaped shadow made her feel safe.

~Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right, be with you day and night
Baby all I need is time~

Buffy set her books on the library table before
sliding into the chair.  She stared a moment at Willow
writing furiously in a notebook.  That the red head
was studying was nothing new, but the huge grin
plastered on her face was a sight the Slayer hadn't
seen for days.  "Will?"  When she didn't get a
response Buffy plucked the pen out of her hand.

"What?!" Willow exclaimed in a whisper.  She looked up
and saw her friend.  "Buffy."

"Willow, what's going on?" she asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I haven't seen you this happy in a long time.  Not
that I'm complaining, but what happened?" Buffy asked.

Willow took her pen back before answering.  "I'm in
love," she said simply.

"With Spike?" she asked with a grin.

"No with Travis Diaz," the red head replied naming an
annoying know-it-all in the psych class.  "Of course,
with Spike."

Buffy rolled her eyes.  "Have you told him yet?"

"Not yet.  It took me a while to realize it, then I
had to over come my fear."  She continued making more
notes.

"Fear of what?" Buffy sighed when her friend didn't
continue.

"I was afraid to love again.  I thought I loved Oz
with all my heart.  And I did.  But he hurt me
deeply," Willow explained.

Buffy covered Willow's free hand.  "And you were
afraid to trust again."  Willow nodded.  "What changed
your mind?"

"I realized that through everything.  The break up, my
wild behavior, everything.  Spike was there for me,"
she said with a grin.  "Even after he told me he loved
me and I pushed him back, he was still there for me."
She paused and remembered the times Spike had simply
sat in the same room with her watching movies.  They
wouldn't talk for hours at a time, but that was okay,
too.  Willow pulled herself back to the library.  She
noticed Buffy grinning happily at her.  "Oh, not that
the rest of you weren't there for me, too."

Buffy laughed.  "I understand perfectly.  So when are
you going to tell him."

"Soon."

~Just hang around and you'll see
There's now where I'd rather be
If you love me, trust in me
The way that I trust in you~

"What about a movie?" Buffy asked as she opened the
paper.

"Let's see that one movie," Xander suggested.

"What movie?" Willow asked as she watched Spike.

"You know.  The one with that guy.  And he goes to
that place and does that thing," he explained.

Buffy glanced at him.  "Can you vague that up a bit
more, Xan?"

Spike kept his focus on the red head.  He knew she'd
spotted him last night.  It was the way he wanted it.
Even if she didn't love him back, he wanted her to
know he would still be there for her.

~Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right, be with you day and night
Baby all I need is time~

Willow kept darting her eyes between the movie screen
and Spike sitting beside her.  They sat in the row
behind Buffy, Riley, Xander and Anya.  It made the
conversation among the group easier, but Willow could
tell by the shadows the two couples in front of her
were more engrossed in making out than the flick
they'd spent $8.50 to see.  She reached for the tub of
popcorn on Spike's knee.

Spike reluctantly sat through the boring movie.  He
wasn't sure why he bothered to come except it meant
spending time with Willow.  His heart still ached over
her rejection.  But if experience with Drusilla taught
him anything, it was he would heal.  He blindly
reached for a handful of popcorn and grabbed Willow's
hand reaching for the same.  "Sorry," he muttered as
he released her.

"That's okay," she whispered.  "I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For pulling away from you.  I was just scared," she
confessed in a hushed tone.

"Scared of me?" he asked.

"No.  Mostly scared of myself.  You're different from
the other guys."  She paused at the vampire's snort.
"With them, I didn't care what happened.  But I don't
know if I'd survive if a relationship between us
didn't work," she explained.

Spike rubbed a buttery thumb across her knuckles.  "I
can't make any promises, pet, but I'd rather face the
sunrise than hurt you," he whispered.

Willow grinned in the dark and snuggled against his
leather clad shoulder.  "Just be patient with me," she
sighed.

He nuzzled the top of her head with his cheek and
pressed a kiss into her fiery hair.  "Always."

~Part 5~ What A Girl Wants

~What a girl wants, what a girl needs
Whatever makes me happy and sets you free
And I'm thanking you for knowing exactly
What a girl wants, what a girl needs
Whatever keeps me in your arms
And I'm thanking you for being there for me~

"Spike," Xander said in greeting as he set his soda on
the table.

The blonde vampire nodded as he took a drag of his
cigarette.

"Where's Willow?" Xander asked.

"Out there," Spike answered, pointing to the dance
floor.

He searched out his best friend and was shocked to see
her dancing with three guys. "What happened?"

The blonde checked to make sure his red head was
okay. "What are you talking about? She's fine," he
said as he returned to his relaxed pose.

Xander stared at the vampire in amazement. "So you
two didn't break up?"

"No."

"But...but..."

"But why is Willow dancing with three guys over there
and I'm over here?" Spike asked.

"Yeah."

"Easy, mate. She's all hyper and wanted to dance. I
wasn't in the mood." He crushed out his cigarette and
took a swig of beer.

"But...but..."

"There's that word again," Spike said with a shake of
his head.

"I thought vampires were really possessive," Xander
said through clenched teeth. The blonde's attitude
was starting to piss him off.

"We are. Anyone tries to take what's mine and I'll
kill them," Spike said with a wicked smile.
"Somehow," he muttered.

Xander glanced towards the dance floor.

The bleach blonde realized the youth's quandary.
"Those pillocks are no threat. Besides Willow's just
having fun. It's nothing serious."

~I wanna thank you for giving me time to breathe
Like a rock, you waited so patiently
While I got it together, while I figured it out
I only looked, but I never touched
'Cause in my heart was a picture of us
Holding hands, making plans
And it's lucky for me, you understand ~

Willow bounced over to where Spike sat with Xander.
She fell onto the couch beside the blonde and took a
sip of the soda he handed her. “Thanks, honey,” she
sighed. The two boys that had followed her off the
dance floor glanced at each other in wonder.

“Dude, you let your girlfriend dance like that?” the
brunette asked.

Spike glared at the annoying boy. “Dude,” he said
sarcastically. “She’s her own person. She doesn’t
need my permission to do anything.”

Xander snickered at the two boys as they walked away.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard ‘Dude’ said in an
English accent,” he laughed.

“Well, it’s not exactly one of Giles’ stock phrases,”
Willow giggled. “Of course, you did scare away the
best dancers out on the floor tonight,” she said as
she nudged Spike with her elbow.

Spike kissed her sweet lips. “Well, I guess I’ll just
have to do something about that,” he said.

“I guess you will,” she answered with her own kiss.

“Oh, please,” Xander sighed

~A weaker man might have walked away
But you had faith strong enough
To move over and understand while I got it together
While I figured it out
They say, "If you love something, let it go
If it comes back, it's yours; that's how you know."
It's for keeps, yeah, it's for sure
And you're ready and willing to give me more ~

Willow squealed as cold water trickled down her neck.
“I’m gonna get you,” she yelled as she turned on her
heel and chased after Spike.

“Got to catch me first,” he taunted.

The red head dodged around headstones as she tried to
catch up to the blonde vampire. She saw her chance
when Spike stumbled over a low grave marker. She
planted her foot on a tombstone and leaped at him. As
she impacted with his hard body, Willow wrapped her
arms and legs around him. “Gotcha!”

Spike braced for the impact of the ground on his arms
and knees. He rolled gently so they were both lying
on their sides. “You got me, Red,” he chuckled.

“Isn’t this sweet?” a familiar voice said from behind
them.

Quickly, he got to his feet and put Willow behind
them. “Harmony,” he said.

“Spike,” the ex-Cordette replied.

“Willow,” Willow said finishing the role call.

“What do you want, Harm?” Spike asked.

She put her hand on his chest and leaned into him.
“What do you think I want, Spikey?” she purred.

“A rabies shot?” Willow asked.

Harmony growled at the red head. “How come she’s
still alive, Spikey?”

He glared down at the annoying blonde. “Cuz I prefer
redheads now.” He pushed her away and turned towards
the red head of his affections. “Let’s get out of
here. The neighborhood had definitely declined in the
last ten minutes.”

Willow giggled at the sight of Harmony falling over a
head stone. “Let’s go get a movie,” she suggested.
Together they left the cemetery and headed for the
video store.

~A girl needs somebody
Somebody sensitive and tough
Somebody there when the going gets rough
Every night he'll be giving his love
To just one girl, one girl, one
Somebody cool but real tender too
Somebody, baby, just like you
Can keep me hanging around with
The one who always knew
And I'm thanking you
For being there for me ~

The room was dark save for the glow of the television
set. A muffled sniff broke the silence.

“Here’s a tissue.”

“Thank you.” A sob made the words crack.

“Honey, why do you insist on renting Steel Magnolias
if it makes you cry every time.”

“Cuz it’s a beautiful story.” More sobs echoed
through the room.

“Honestly, Spike, I am not letting you rent this
again,” Willow sighed as she pulled him into her arms.

Spike rubbed his damp cheek against her shoulder. “I
love this movie,” he protested.

Willow rolled her eyes. *Big bad, my foot. Just a
big baby,* she mused. She rubbed his arm as she
continued to watch Sally Field berate her friend
because her daughter was dead. Once the credits
started to roll she grabbed the remote control and
started to rewind the tape. She waited for Spike to
finish wiping away his tears. Once he blew his nose,
loudly, she moved to straddle his lap. Reverently,
she kissed his lips.

Spike stared into her brilliant green eyes. “What was
that for, Red? Not that I’m complaining,” he added
quickly.

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

She stroked the short strands of his hair and smiled.
“I know you do. That’s the amazing part,” she sighed.
Again she leaned down to kiss him, this time with
passion.

“You are the amazing part,” Spike gasped when their
mouths separated.

The red head chuckled. “Why don’t we just say we are
both amazing?” she suggested.

Spike grabbed her legs and flipped them until Willow
was pinned beneath him. “I can go with that.”

“Good. Now shut up and kiss me.”

~And I'm thanking you for knowing exactly...
And I'm thanking you for being there for me...~
