GREEN EYED MONSTER (8/?)
Willow looked at Cordelia as the girl drove them to the office.
Her
friend had been acting strange since they had left the Cutting
Edge the
night before. She couldn't understand what was wrong, unless Delia
really was interested in Jason. Finally, she had to ask. "Delia,
what's
wrong?"
Cordelia was shaken from her thoughts by Willow's soft words. She
changed lanes and then glanced at Willow. "What do you mean?"
"You've been acting weird since last night. Are you mad that Jason
was
flirting with me?" Willow asked, worry in her green eyes.
Cordelia snorted. "Not exactly."
"Not exactly? What the hell does that mean?" Willow asked.
"Will, it's complicated. I'm just having trouble dealing with some
thoughts I've been having. Nothing major. You worry too much" Delia
said, smiling.
"What kind of thoughts and what does Jason have to do with them?"
"Jason has nothing to do with them" Cordelia said, rolling her eyes.
"I
admit I may have been slightly jealous that he was flirting with
you...but trust me when I say it wasn't for any reason you would
ever
guess."
Willow sighed, running a hand through her red hair, "You make no
sense."
"I was jealous that he was touching you, ok? I wanted to be the
one
making you moan like that..." Cordelia blushed slightly as she
said the
words out loud.
"Huh?" Willow said softly, not believing what Delia had said.
"Trust me. I'm as confused about it as you are....more so since
I've
never thought of myself as being gay before.....But, Will. I wanted
to
hit him for touching you last night. I hope my honesty doesn't
hurt our
friendship. I don't want to lose you."
"You'll never lose me Delia." Willow said, wondering why her body
was
feeling such warm thoughts from Cordelia's words. "I was actually
a bit
jealous thinking you wanted Jason...."
Cordelia stopped at the light, looking at Willow wide eyed, "You
don't
have to say that to make me feel better."
Willow snorted this time. "Trust me. I wouldn't say that I was feeling
attracted to you just so you wouldn't be alone in your own thoughts."
Cordelia smiled, "You're attracted to me?"
Willow turned red. "Well, uh....yeah. Last night I realized it....what
are we going to do?"
Cordelia smiled, "Let's just wait and see what happens. I love you,
Wills. You're my best friend. I don't want to lose that in case
it was
just fleeting feelings. But, I'd like to explore it if they continue..."
Willow smiled slightly, "What about Angel and Spike?"
Cordelia shrugged, "What about them? They passed up their chance
with
us. I mean, I'll always love Angel as I'm sure you'll always love
Spike.
But, this is about us. Not them. I think I might be falling in
love with
you and nothing will keep me from finding out if it's real."
Willow beamed at her words, "You love me? I mean...IN love with
me..Wow...you're right. This is about us, not them. I want to find
out
where this takes us, if you're game."
Cordelia pulled into the parking lot behind Angel Investigations.
She
turned and looked into Willow's eyes. "I'm definitely game, honey.
Now,
come on. We've got some work to do."
Willow smiled, "Yeah, we do. Wonder if the guys have noticed our
lack of
appearances yet."
Cordelia smiled, "Oh...I'm sure they have. Let's see what they do
about
it."
Willow smiled, "IF they do anything."
The two girls walked together to the front of the building. "I have
a
feeling they'll do something...eventually."
Willow nodded, "Wonder what they'll think about us.....getting together
and all."
Cordelia snorted, "Knowing their history together? I'm sure they'll
be
very supportive."
Willow smiled, "Maybe that will get them to make a move finally."
Cordelia shivered in pleasure as an image of the four of them together
vividly played out in her mind, "Sharing is always nice."
Willow just laughed at the expression on Cordelia's face. She opened
the
door to the office and walked inside. "Love you, Delia."
Cordelia beamed, "Love you too, Will."
