HALLOWEEN AND VAMPIRES (3/?)
Xander looked at Willow as if she was crazy, "What?"
"You heard me," she whispered, looking down at the ice cream in front
of her.
"Am I insane?"
"I'd love you anyway," he said, swirling his spoon in the caramel and
chocolate toppings that covered his vanilla ice cream. Suddenly, his
appetite
was gone. "Are you serious?"
She looked up at him, her eyes catching his. "Yes. It feels right, Xander.
So
right. Can you tell me honestly that you haven't thought about it?
Considered
what it would be like? If you can, I won't force you to help me. I'll
stop
the entire plan if that's what you want."
"No," he said, a bit abrubtly. He licked his lips, caught by the pure
need in
her eyes. He wondered how long she had been wanting this...been craving
it.
Wondered if it could possibly be as long as he had. "No...don't change
it. Do
you really think it will work? That we won't end up dead?"
"I feel it in here, Xander," she said, putting her hand on her heart.
She
smiled softly, "I felt it two years ago, when he first came here. We
were
meant to be with him. This time, nothing can keep him from claiming
us."
"He wanted to kill us, honey," Xander said quietly, remembering that
bastard
and the feeling himself harden as he always did when thinking about
Angelus.
"He was confused," Willow said, praying she was right. "Spike told me
that
Angelus was obsessed with us. At the time, he thought it was because
of our
friendship with Buffy. But, I don't think so. He could have killed
so many
times, Xan. He didn't. Even then, blinded by his need for revenge against
her, he felt it. I hate feeling so empty all the time."
"Don't cry, Willow," he said, pushing his melting ice cream away and
taking
her hand. "I know what you mean. The feeling that this life isn't what
I'm
supposed to have. Like some huge part of me is missing. When we were
so
close, it never felt like this. I need you in my life, Wills. If that
means
facing death, than so be it."
"You'd die for me?" she asked, sniffling as her eyes softened with love.
"You
won't have to. I don't know if Angelus will come back, I mean, I know
Angel
doesn't feel for me anything what he felt for Buffy. He must just laugh
and
go back to LA, but I have to try. If this is what is supposed to happen,
it
will all work out."
"If not, at least we won't have to see Riley and Buffy kissing anymore,"
he
said, smiling a goofy smile as he spoke of the chance of their death.
Willow giggled, "Yeah, there would be that benefit to death."
"So, you're planning on seducing Angel then what?" Xander asked, feeling
a
bit jealous that she wanted Angel.
"I haven't really planned all the details," she said, shrugging. "I
guess
maybe I'm overthinking this entire thing. Maybe we should concentrate
on just
having a Halloween party and enjoying ourselves. Forget about releasing
souls
and such."
"That sounds like the best idea I've heard all day," he said, sighing
in
relief. He'd love nothing more than to have wild sex with her and Angelus,
watching as Spike fucked her silly, but somehow it seemed that when
they
planned things, nothing ever worked right.
"Come on," she said, standing. "We've got costumes to find."
"You could just go like that and be a witch," he said chuckling as she
glared
at him.
"Oh, just you wait mister. I have the perfect idea of what you can wear,"
she
smiled, an evil glint entering her eyes.
"Why does that scare me?" he asked, following her as she pulled him
across
the mall. He groaned when he saw their destination. Leather and More.
"Willow, you so owe me for this."
