Fireworks

Willow watched Riley and Xander toss the ball back and forth as Giles attempted to light the grill. She laughed as Buffy rolled her eyes, pushing the watcher out of the way.

"Give me the damn thing" Buffy said, taking the lighter fluid from a disgruntled Giles.

"Fine. You can have it gladly." Giles said, moving to the blanket and falling down beside Willow. "Stupid damn American traditions."

Willow smiled, patting his arm, "There, there.....not everyone is meant to be Mr. Bar-b-q. You have many other great qualities."

He laughed, "Quit trying to make me feel better."

"I have to. It's my job" Willow said, smiling as she laid back down and watched the sky.

"The burgers are cooking." Buffy said, sitting down. "So, Wills. Fourth of July."

Willow turned red as Anya put down her magazine and looked at her along with Buffy. Giles looked confused before he finally just stood, saying, "I'll leave you girls to talk. I think I'll head over and play catch. Something I

can do correctly."

Willow sat up on her elbows, trying to avoid her friends' curious looks. She sighed, "Yes, Buffy, Fourth of July."

"It's Spikey's turn, right?" Anya asked.

"Where is Mr. wonderful anyway?" Buffy asked.

"Yes, it is his turn. And, I don't know where he is. He was supposed to meet me at dusk." Willow said.

"Ooooooh" Anya said, her eyes shining. "maybe he's getting everything ready

for your night......"

Buffy sighed, looking to where Xander and Riley were still playing ball, now tossing it to Giles too. "Lucky girl."

Willow smiled, a sparkle in her eyes as she thought about it. "Yes, I am."

"Hello, pet" Spike said, swooping to kiss her. He smiled at her, his expression guarded.

"Spike, what took you so long?" Willow asked.

"For me to know" he replied, glancing at the others. "Do you realize how damn hot it is out here?"

She laughed, "Yep."

"And yet, you all clamor for a place to lay around and slowly burn to death" he said, shaking his head. "Americans."

"Hey now" she said, laughing as she fell against him. "I'm one of those hated Americans."

"Yeah, but I love you so it doesn't count" he replied. "Are they planning on tossing that damn ball all night?"

"They're waiting for the burgers to finish" she said, glancing at him. "What were you doing?"

"Pet" he warned, kissing her before she could ask another question.

"Ahem" Buffy cleared her throat as she and Riley sat down on their blanket.

"Can we forgo the public displays before we eat?"

"Hell, even after we eat" Xander added, laughing as he and Anya sat on their blanket.

"Yes, well, I do believe my opinions on the matter should be known" Giles said, his lips twitching slightly.

"Bloody humans" Spike cursed, reluctantly pulling his mouth from Willow's and glaring at them all. "Don't you all ever go away?"

"Nope." Xander said, grabbing the bag of cheese puffs.

"Well, then. We'll go away" he said, standing and taking Willow's hand. "Come on, pet."

Willow caught the smirks of the others, rolling her eyes as her face flushed. "Gladly, Spike. See you guys later."

"Someone's gonna get lucky" Anya said in a sing song voice as she reached for the chips from Xander.

Buffy watched her best friend walk away, a small smile on her lips. She didn't regret setting Willow and Spike up at all, but in a way she was envious of her friend. She loved Riley and knew he loved her, but he wasn't

as romantic as Spike was. She stood and went to check on the burgers, telling Anya, "Willow's always lucky. Who wants cheese?"

"Where are we going?" Willow asked, laughing softly as she followed Spike through the woods.

"Patience my dear" he said, pulling her in for a kiss before continuing.

"Patience? Easy for you to say...." Willow said, "You know where we're going."

"Just wait" he said, laughing at her pouting expression.

She followed him, glaring daggers into his back. She gasped as she stumbled

through the trees, her eyes taking in the picnic he had laid out. "Oh my...."

He smiled as he led her to the blanket. "Sit, my love."

"Spike...this is...wow..." she said softly, smiling as she realized all the

trouble he had gone through for her.

"Sit back and eat, pet" he said, beginning to feed her the different treats

he had bought.

An hour and a half later, Willow sighed as she laid down and looked at the stars. She felt Spike turn between her legs, his head nestled between her bare breasts. She ran her fingers through his hair, playing with the slightly damp strands. "I love you."

Spike moved his head slightly, feeling her warm flesh against his cheek. "Love you too, pet."

She moved her foot over his bare leg, brushing the small hairs that were lightly scattered over it. "Dinner was wonderful."

"I preferred desert" he remarked casually, a small quirk of his lips betraying his meaning.

"Spike!" she scolded, playfully. "I mean it. This was wonderful."

"Even better than grilling with the gang?" he asked, laughing as she smacked the top of his head.

She shifted her head on the pillow, smiling as she realized that only Spike

would remember to pack a pillow in his picnic of seduction. "That was fantastic too, I'll admit. But, this ground is beginning to feel a bit hard. What are we waiting for?"

"You'll see, pet" he remarked, his hand drifting up her leg. Her breath caught as she felt him shift into a position that brought his elbow in direct contact with her clit. She heard him chuckling as she began to writhe against him.

She felt the tension being built as he moved his elbow and brought his fingers in direct contact with her wetness. She began to moan as he slid two fingers inside her. Just as she was about to cum, her paused. She groaned, her fingers tightening in his hair. "Spike!"

"Not time yet, pet" he said simply, beginning to bring her back to the brink. This time though he continued through. She felt her orgasm hit just as the dark night sky erupted in a blaze of color. She saw the fireworks as her muscles clenched around his fingers. She heard his smug laugh as she collapsed against the blanket, her green eyes watching the fireworks as he continued to tease her, his soft voice reaching her ears as he repeated, "Love you Willow."
