Willow walked into the living room, her hand on her flushed face. He
had
dreamed about her. Did he dream that it was her he was having sex with
or was
that another different dream? She heard a noise in the kitchen and
looked up.
Cordelia was watching her with a curious look on her face. "Uh...morning."
Cordelia smiled slightly, "Afternoon, you mean."
"How late is it?" she asked.
"About three" Cordelia said, walking into the room and sitting down.
"You
keep vampire's hours too, huh?"
Willow smiled softly, "Guess so. Today at least. I mean, back home,
I have
school usually. I'm up at seven and in bed about four am."
Cordelia frowned, "You don't get a lot of sleep. Isn't that a bit unhealthy?"
"I'm a big girl" Willow replied, a bit defensively. "I can handle it.
Hell,
that's been my schedule since meeting Buffy."
"I didn't mean anything bad" Cordelia said. "I was just a bit worried."
"Why?" Willow asked.
"I don't know" Cordelia said, making a face. "Come on. Can we please
not make
this entire visit a war?"
"I'm not" Willow said. "Trust me, I don't want to fight. Get enough
of that
with Buffy."
Cordelia smiled at the redhead's tone of voice, "Uh oh...trouble in
slayer
paradise?"
"Don't even ask" Willow said. "Buffy is always right...and it is always
about
her."
"Well, it always was before. Why should it be any different now?" Cordelia
asked dryly.
"She is a bit selfish isn't she?" Willow said, laughing softly.
"A bit" Cordelia said. "Imagine her reaction to hearing about me and
Angel."
Willow laughed louder, "My god...she'd freak. I mean, she doesn't want
him
but that doesn't mean someone else can have him. So...you and Angel."
"Yeah...me and Angel" Cordelia said, "What? You sound amused."
"Just glad he seems happy." Willow said honestly.
"He does?" Cordelia said, smiling. "Well, what about you?"
"What about me?" Willow asked.
"You and Spike" Cordelia said, smirking at the redhead's discomfort.
"You two
could heat up the city."
"Whatever" Willow said, rolling her eyes.
"So, you ready?" Cordelia asked, knowing it was too soon for Willow
to trust
her with her honest feelings for the blonde vampire. Maybe before they
left,
she'd have her trust. She still had plans for their birthday. She had
a lot
of years to make up for.
"Ready?" Willow asked, glad Cordelia had dropped the Spike subject.
"Duh...shopping. I have Angel's credit card with an extremely grotesque
limit. Let's go have some fun." Cordelia said, laughing.
"Shopping?" Willow repeated. She finally nodded, "Ok. I can handle shopping.
Let's go."
Cordelia smiled, "We're going to paint the town red, Willow. Let's go."
