TANGLED WEB

Spike followed Willow into Sandra's apartment. They had spent the night at Section in one of the spare quarters. Willow had been fascinated with the organization. She had kept her ears open and had learned many things. It seemed that Section recruited people from prison and other places. Most of the people there followed their orders or risked cancellation. She couldn't imagine being given a choice between killing people or death. She knew, though, that she would probably choose as they had.

She had also picked up on fear from a majority of the operatives. They were frightened of Operation and Madeline. She could see that too. Had she not been in her defense mode, they would probably scare her too. She knew what it was like to go out and face a situation from which you knew you might not return. She had been lucky to have good friends with her at those times. These people seemed to frown upon being friendly. She could see why Michael and Nikita's relationship hadn't worked.

They had been allowed to wait at Sandra's apartment. Nikita had said she'd call when they were needed. There were several missions that were more urgent, so no one knew exactly when the attack on Casales would take place. So, she and Spike got to play the waiting game.

She turned to Spike. "Here it is. Home sweet home for a few more weeks."

"Nice view" he said, keeping his eyes on her. She blushed as she recognized the look in his eyes.

"Not bad this way either." she said, moving towards him.

She ran her hand over his chest, and waited. Soon, he caught her mouth with his. She had refused to have sex with him the night they had spent at Section. She figured that they probably had cameras and surveillance hooked up to the room. She was definitely not an exhibitionist.

"Where's the bed?" Spike said, keeping his mouth over hers.

"That way." She was swept up into his arms as he carried her to the bedroom. She laughed as he threw onto the top of the blanket. She watched eagerly as he stripped his clothes off.

"You're over dressed pet. Fix it." he said, stopping before he removed his jeans.

She sighed and began to remove her clothes. She loved watching him undress. There was just something so sexy about it. She laid back on the bed and spread her arms out.

"What the hell is that?" Spike asked, moving to the bed.

"I'm waiting for something to wrap them around" she said smiling at him.

He winked at her and moved on top. She moved her arms around him, arching up to meet his thrust. She couldn't remember why she had ever left Sunnydale. This was right....this was perfect. She kissed his face as his hands moved to knead her breasts. She felt him speeding up. She waited for the bite. She began to moan when she felt his hand rubbing against her clit. She cried out as her orgasm over took her. Spike followed her into release, his mouth biting into her shoulder.

"Wow.....I missed that" she said, running her hand through his hair.

"Shouldn't have left pet." he said, smirking at her.

"Glad you're here." Willow said, kissing him.

"I know you are" Spike said.

Willow heard the doorbell and groaned. She knew that it had to be Nikita. Why? She had just gotten back with Spike. Couldn't they leave them alone for at least a night.

"I'll get it."

"Tell them to leave or I'll rip their throat out." Spike said, laying back on the bed. Willow admired his nude body before grabbing a robe.

"Yes?" She opened the door.

Her face showed many emotions: Shock, happiness, curiosity and anger at having been interrupted. She smiled finally, deciding that it must be very important.

"Angel! What are you doing here?"

Angel looked the girl over, noticing the fresh bite on her shoulder. He rolled his eyes. "I guess Spike did find you. Giles was worried."

Willow blushed. "Yes, he found me early yesterday morning. Come in."

Angel followed her into the apartment. "Nice view" he said, looking out into the dark sky.

"Yeah" Willow agreed. "What the bloody hell is he doing here?" Spike asked, coming out from the bedroom. He had pulled on a pair of blue jeans, but left them unbuttoned.

"Some moron forgot to call and tell Giles Willow was safe" Angel said, giving no doubt as to who the moron was.

"Oh, so Daddy to the rescue then? What would you have done, sprayed them with hair gel?"

Angel glared at Spike. Spike grinned openly before moving behind Willow. He wrapped an arm protectively around her waist.

"Willow, since you're safe, I'll be leaving now. Please call Giles and the others and let them know you're ok."

"You can't leave yet. You came all the way here from LA to check up on me."

"I was in Detroit on business. It wasn't that far." Angel protested.

Seeing Willow's determined face, he hid a smile. "Fine. I'll stay for awhile."

"What the hell did I do to deserve this?" Spike asked no one in particular.

"Spike, be nice. Let us get dressed and we'll got out to dinner."

"I don't eat." Angel said.

"You can watch me eat and look at all the interesting people that live in this city. How does that sound?"

"Delightful" Angel said, knowing that his staying would piss Spike off.

"Maybe we should introduce Peaches to your little friend Michael...I'm sure they'd have a lot in common. They could try to out brood each other...." Spike said, as he headed to the bedroom.

Willow rolled her eyes and tried to hide a laugh as she grabbed a dress.

"I'm taking a shower. Be nice."

"Hell, luv. I need a shower too."

"I was hoping you'd say that..." Willow said, smiling as she went into the bathroom.

Willow took Spike and Angel to a chinese restaurant that was fast becoming one of her favorites. She had been there several times with Nikita and Michael.

"So, Angel. What took you to Detroit?"

"Money. Cordelia insisted. The client was willing to pay a very nice fee for my serviced. Just finished the job when Giles called."

"How is Cordelia doing?" Willow asked.

Before he could answer, the waitress arrived. She smiled at the waitress and placed her order. Both of the men ordered something for appearances sake. Actually, Spike enjoyed human food. Willow had gotten him addicted to several kinds of junk food.

"Cor is fine. She is dating a guy that lives in her apartment building. He seems all right."

"I'm glad she is finally dating. I couldn't believe it when she told me she had sworn off men. I knew that wouldn't last."

"Willow? What are you doing here?"

Willow glanced up and smiled. "Nik. Michael. Hi. Why don't you two sit here with us. We just ordered."

"Sure." Nikita said grabbing an empty chair. She glanced at the handsome dark haired man curiously.

Michael reluctantly pulled up a chair beside Angel.

Spike grinned. "Well well...Peaches, I'd like for you to meet Stoney. Stoney, this here is Peaches. You two should have a lot to brood about."

Nikita glanced at the other man. He was giving Spike an evil look. "Blondie, you'd better watch it."

"Stoney?" Michael said softly.

"What can I say? I like nicknames. I've been calling you Stoneface but Stoney seems easier to say." Spike said, causing Nikita to laugh.

Michael and Angel glared at the vampire.

Willow shook her head smiling. "This is going to be a long night." she muttered for Nikita's ears. Nikita just smiled. She was looking forward to this.

Nikita looked at Angel curiously. "So, you're the infamous Angel."

"Yes" he said, looking at her in surprise.

"Don't worry. I've only heard good things. Well, from Willow at least. Spike on the other hand....."

Angel rolled his eyes. "What has my wayward childe been saying now?"

"Childe?" Michael said, glancing to see surprise on Nikita's face.

Willow laughed. "Yes. Angel is Spike's sire. Don't worry. Angel has a soul. He's a good guy, he just feels guilty a lot."

"Thanks Willow" Angel said, smiling wryly.

"But I love him anyway. He's my father in law after all" she winked at him.

"Peaches here could match ol' Stoney in a pitiful me contest. I swear, never met two more broody blokes in my life."

"You chose to sire him?" Michael said, looking at Spike disgusted.

"It was one of my few mistakes" Angel said. "I've regretted it ever since."

"Thanks daddy." Spike said, putting his arm around Willow. "Love you too."

Angel rolled his eyes. The conversation began and the five spoke for a couple of hours. Angel and Michael mostly listened, asking questions when necessary. Willow looked at Nikita as they were getting ready to go.

"Aren't you glad that you don't have to live them both?"

"I now see what you mean about the similarities. I do think that Angel has more too be guilty about, but Michael seems almost more serious."

"I know. And Michael is the one that breathes. I feel sorry for him in some ways. At least Angel has learned that he can laugh and still feel guilty."

"What are you two sneaky chits talking about?" Spike asked, watching them suspiciously.

"Oh, nothing much. I was just telling Willow what a nice ass you have." Nikita said, winking at Willow.

"I agreed with her but told her to keep her eyes to herself." Willow said, smiling at the cocky look in Spike's eyes.

"Well, it was a nice surprise to meet up with you three. Michael and I need to get back to work now. We leave on a mission in the morning. I'll call you when I get back."

"Bye guys. Michael. Be safe."

He smiled a half smile. "Always."

After they left, Angel frowned. "I liked her but he was annoying. Does he ever speak?"

Willow and Spike looked at each other and laughed.

"I like Spike and Angel. It's hard to believe that they have both been dead for so many years."

"Spike reminds me of Walter a bit. The annoying teasing. The flirting. He does seem to love Willow though."

"Yes, he does. And she loved him. What about Angel?"

"I found him complex. I must say that I was not crazy about him. He rarely spoke and I couldn't read his eyes. I wouldn't trust him. I do hope he leaves soon."

Nikita just laughed as they drove back to section.
