~Chapter Eleven~ Damn
Spike was prowling through my room. I could hear the soft growl
emanating
from his chest. He was angry. "If you will hold on, Spike,
and let me do
this, I will be ready."
"I want to shag now, Pet," he growled.
I laughed playfully, running over the words to my spell in my head.
"Hold
on. Let me cast this spell. . ."
"What spell?" he narrowed his eyes.
I rolled mine. "It works, Spike, don't worry. I've done
it before." It
was a spell of invulnerability, but it was short lived. I knew
that Spike
was going to be different this time when we were together - I could
tell the
way he was watching me. I affected him - really affected him
- with my
sacrifice. I knew he would rely on the demon more than he has
in the past
when we've been together, and I want that. . .but I wanted to make
sure that
I would survive it.
I situated myself in the middle of my circle and began the spell.
It was
quick, short and sweet. After it was done and I stood up, breaking
the
circle, he attacked me, ripping my clothes off. I laughed again,
wanting
him as much as he wanted me.
~*~*~
It was wonderful. By far the best shag I've ever had. I
was falling asleep
in his arms when I heard a knock on the door. I groaned.
"Buffy," I rolled
my eyes. "It's gotta be Buffy."
I pulled out of Spike's arms. "Come on, you wanna go with me?" I asked.
"Sure, I'm always up for a little cat fight." He rolled out of
bed and
pulled on his jeans. I put on my jeans and his shirt. We
went downstairs
to the loud banging on the door.
I glanced at him, then braced myself. I opened the door.
I frowned.
"Xander?"
He was breathing hard, about to knock again. "Oh, god, Wills,
thank god!"
He pushed his way in and glanced at Spike. "Junior," he nodded.
He turned
back to me, grabbing my hand. "Wills, Buffy's *pissed*.
She found Mr.
Gordo, and she's on her way here. She wants to kill Spike, kill
you, kill
everything." He glanced around. "I. . .I wanted to warn
you. I didn't
want her to hurt you."
I smiled. "Thanks for the warning, Xand." The three of us
went to the
couch to wait.
~*~*~
"What's the matter, girl?" I yelled at Buffy. "Don't you think
I'm good
enough?"
"Damn it, Willow! You destroyed Mr. Gordo!" she screamed.
Goddess, Buffy
was pissed.
"Yea, I did. And it felt good," I smiled.
Buffy spun around. "You know what? I'm going to hurt something
important
to you." Her eyes fell on Spike. "You." She nodded.
"You will be dust
when I'm through."
Spike laughed. "Whatever, Slayer. Bring it on, if you think
you are bad
enough." He bounced on the balls of his feet, ready to fight.
There was no
way that she was going to kill him. He would be fine. Buffy
couldn't ever
kill him before, and I knew that she wouldn't kill him now.
This cold girl, my ex-best friend Buffy, I know she wanna make you scream.
.
.damn.
They circled each other. I could tell he was getting antsy, he
wanted to
attack her, but he wanted her to make the first move. She was
taking her
time 'til I thought I would die. . .I couldn't stand still. I
was bouncing
from foot to foot, waiting for them to start fighting.
She launched at him with a roar, and knocked him down. They started
fighting, rolling around, hurting each other. The smell of blood
was thick
in the air. . .both of their skin had been broken. I knew what
Spike's
blood smelled like, and I knew that I could smell more than him.
Riley grabbed my arms, holding me still. I struggled against him,
but
unfortunately, he was way bigger than me. He leaned down and
whispered in
my ear, "She's going to destroy him," he laughed softly. "I can't
wait. I'
m so glad, I'm tired of the punk."
I struggled harder. Buffy could actually do it. She had
hauled Spike up
and against the wall. She'd slammed his head against the wall,
and he was
dazed. "Spike?" I whimpered.
"S'ok, pet," he purred. "I've got her. She's not going to hurt me."
"Whatever," Buffy said. She held the stake up, ready to dust him.
"Spike!" I yelled. "Spike, get away!"
"I'm doing the best I can, Red!" he growled angrily.
I struggled harder with Riley, but couldn't get away. "Damn it,
Riley!!
Let me go!" I yelled.
Xander stepped in front of me. "Willow," he said calmly.
I looked at him. "Xander, she's going to hurt him!" I sobbed.
"I can't let
her kill him! I love him!"
"Willow, duck."
"Huh?" I asked with a frown.
"Damn it, duck!" he yelled.
I ducked as well as I could, wondering what the hell was going through
his
mind. A grin spread over my face when Xander punched Riley in
the face,
allowing me to get free. I ran across the room, sliding between
Buffy and
Spike. "You dust him, and I swear to goddess, Buffy, I will make
your life
a living hell."
Buffy glanced back at Riley and Xander, who were staring each other
down.
Xander's back was to us. She turned back and grinned at me, a
look of
craziness in her eyes. "This is for Mr. Gordo," she whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"Willow!" Buffy cried. "Willow, don't! I can't stop --!"
I blinked and looked down. There, sticking out my chest, was Buffy's
stake.
The bitch *staked* me!
But it didn't hurt. I was amazed. It didn't hurt.
I didn't think that my
body fully registered that I had been staked yet. My hands went
to my chest
and I turned my head slightly. "Spike," I whispered, my knees
buckling.
Spike grabbed me, and helped me down to the floor. "Red, honey,
are you
ok?"
"Willow!" Xander yelled. "Oh my god! Buffy, you staked Willow!"
"She jumped in front of Spike when I was trying to dust him! I
couldn't
stop the descent!"
I blinked. She was lying! She did it on purpose! I
opened my mouth to
tell Xander she was lying, but coughed. I could feel the blood
trickling
down my cheek. Oh, goddess, I was dying. "Xan. . ." I whispered
when he
took my hand.
I looked back and forth, slowly between the two men in my life that
cared
about me. Then the pain started. It radiated from the stake,
through my
chest, along my body. "Oh, goddess," I said, tears falling down
my cheeks.
I blinked, my world starting to go hazy. "Spike," I whispered.
"Spikey, it
hurts. . .I don't think. . ." I blinked again. "Oh, goddess.
. ."
My world went black.
Damn.
