-----------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 1
"I can't believe we'll all be together again."
Willow smiled as s= he
sat on the steps of the University Commons with
Xander and Giles. "I
mean, it'll be like old times, meeting in the
library, well, except
it won't be in the library it'll be in your office,
or classroom?"
Giles chuckled at the girl's ramblings, "Yes, well,
I'm only signed
up to instruct two classes Willow, so I don't
think I'll actually get
my own office. But it will be beneficial to be
on campus given all
the things that went on last year here."
"And don't forget," Xander added as he shook a
piece of paper in = the
air, "I am officially a college guy."
"You'll finally get the attention of all the girls
at the high school =
now Xander." Willow joked.
"Hey!"
Giles laughed at the two friends, happy to see
them joking with each
other so easily again. He stood, not really wanting
to break the
moment, "We'd better be heading in then, it's
nearly sunset."
"And it is pizza night at the G-man's." Xander
put his arm around=
Willow's shoulders.
"I'm assuming you will both need a ride to and
from the restaurant?&qu= ot;
Giles asked as they walked to his car.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow handed an empty plate to Xander and then
passed it to Buffy
once the slice had been placed on it. Once served,
the gang began
their newly found weekly ritual of pizza night
on Tuesdays. Giles
gathered his prophecy books together and piled
them on the coffee
table in preparation to go over the latest one
he thought might be
oncoming. The group's laughter was interrupted
when the door swung
open and Spike sauntered in, clearly agitated
by the utter happiness
that gathered before him. "What? Nobody cared
to invite me to your
little shindig?"
"Don't worry Junior," Xander plopped a cooling
slice of pizza on a
plate and tossed it in front of the empty seat
at the table. "We
saved you a slice or two. They ran out of blood
toppings though so
you'll have to settle for meatballs."
Spike sighed for affect but was contented to see
that they hadn't
completely forgotten about him. Unfortunately
they were all he had in
this miserable existence he now led. He sat down
next to Willow,
sensing the tension emanating from her at once.
He didn't know why
she hated him so much.
Willow mentally groaned when the vampire settled
into the chair
beside her; of course she had to have been the
one sitting next to
the vacant seat. She ate in silence and was the
first one to leave
the table and thumb through Giles' books. One
by one the group joined
her on the couch and she finally felt some of
the tension leave her
muscles. "So what's in store for the Hellmouth
this week Giles?" = She
asked happily.
"Well, I'm not sure how serious of a threat this
really is," He
flipped through some pages of an old text until
he found what he was
looking for. "It's rather silly when you think
about it really." He
handed the book to Willow and let her read it.
After a few moments she started to giggle, "You've GOT to be kidding."
Giles smiled, "Yes, well, as I said, I don't know
just how seriously
we should take it."
"Don't leave us in suspense Wills." Xander piped, "What is i= t?"
Willow smiled a sigh and read from the passage.
"On the day of the
12th quarter moon of the new age, Dionyses will
reign for half a
fortnight cometh. Wanton chaos will flood the
veins of true-hearted
beings, and their demons will rule their flesh."
"What?" Buffy asked confused.
Spike let out a bountiful laugh, doubling over
where he still sat at
the dining table. "Well, good for the demons!"
He laughed again.
"Not *the* demons, Spike, the true-hearted beings'
demons. That
obviously counts *you* out." Willow spat.
"Wait a minute," Xander stood, "What does all that
gibberish mean
anyhow?"
Giles spoke up, "Now, we don't really know if this
is even going to
come to pass, I couldn't find mention of it in
my other two books so
it is probably nothing at all."
"Giles," Buffy said, "Anything that says that demons
will ru le sounds
worth looking into."
"Well, Buffy," Willow began, "I don't think it's real demons."
"Who's Dionyses?" Xander asked.
Spike looked over Willow's shoulder as he knelt
behind the couch.
"Dionyses is the god of wine and party, sex and
mayhem. Sounds like
my kind of god." He breathed into Willow's ear.
Gooseflesh covered her arms and she swung the book
backwards into his
face. He caught it in time and chuckled at her
efforts. She sighed
heavily and moved her position on the sofa so
that he was no longer
behind her. She turned to Giles; "Hey, isn't the
12th quarter moon
tomorrow?"
"Yes." Giles couldn't help the smile reaching the
corners of his
mouth. "It's only for a week, maybe we should
simply try to stay away
from each other until it's all over with."
Willow giggled again. Buffy stood angrily, "Okay
you two. What is
going on? You obviously know what the prophesy
means, now spill!"
Willow gave Giles a sympathetic look and smiled,
"You want me to
tell?"
He nodded, "Please do."
"Okay, let's take it line by line. The first one
says when, the 12th
quarter moon, which starts tomorrow, assuming
that the new age means
the millennium."
Buffy still stood above her friend, "Go on."
"Well, as Spike so lovingly put it, Dionyses is
the god of wine, sex
and party."
"Doesn't sound like such a bad guy." Xander offered.
"Well, it says that he will reign for half a fortnight,
which is one
week."
"Okay, so I have to kill this Dionyses guy?" Buffy asked.
"No, I don't think so Buffy, I think his name is
used here in a
symbolic way. Look, the next line is, wanton chaos
will flood the
veins of true-hearted beings, and their demons
will rule their flesh.
Wanton chaos? Their demons will rule their flesh?
It sounds to me
that for a week we'll just have people going around
fulfilling their
deepest, darkest fantasies, in a, y'know, sexual
sorta way. I'm not
sure there's anything to really slay."
Buffy sank to her place in the armchair. "Deepest,
darkest fantasies
huh?" She looked over at her former watcher.
"It does appear that way." He answered, taking
off his specs and
wiping them clean. "I suggest that we all simply
try to keep our
heads among us this week and see what happens."
"So when is this all supposed to happen?" Xander asked.
"Tomorrow some time." Willow answered.
Xander stood and walked to the door. "Well, I'm
going to go make sure
Anya is locked up for the week. God only knows
what kind of deep,
dark fantasies she keeps hidden." He smiled and
waved at the group as
he left the apartment.
Buffy rose and followed him; "I'd... uh... better
make sure
Xander gets
home safely. Yeah... ok... bye guys." She ran
out of the door.
"That was odd." Giles mumbled.
"Yeah," Willow added, "What's gotten into her?"
"She's the slayer." Spike said, "That's got to
count for any bizarre
behavior." He rose to his feet and took the book
Willow was still
holding. "C'mon Red, I'll make sure you get home
all safe and sound
since Slutty didn't wait for you."
"I can walk by myself y'know?" She stood.
"Giles, tell the silly chit to get off her high horse."
"Me? What makes you think I need you? What if a
*human* mugger
attacks me? A lot of good you'll do me then, huh?"
Giles heard a low growl come from the vampire and
chimed in. These
two were impossible lately. "Willow, perhaps Spike
is right. This is
the hellmouth, there are more things out there
than simple vampires."
"Hey!"
"Sorry Spike." Giles said, "Willow, please, I would
feel better if
Spike walked you home. Your parents' house isn't
too far so you
shouldn't have to put up with him too long."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence Watcher." Spike
sneered and
followed Willow toward the door.
"Fine," Willow relented, "C'mon old man."
"Who you callin' *old* little girl?"
Giles locked the door behind them and said a silent
prayer to
whatever god was listening that the prophecy was
nothing but a crock
of shit. Somehow he doubted that and dreaded the
possibilities the
morning brought with it. He climbed the stairs
steadily and proceeded
to get ready for bed. Looking at himself in the
mirror he smirked at
the thought of fantasies running rampant. For
a moment he saw a
reflection of the man he used to be. "Ripper."
He breathed. He smiled
somewhat evilly at himself before chuckling. "You
still in there old
boy?"
Chapter 2
Rupert Giles rose out of bed close to noon the
next day. He walked
into the bathroom and stripped. Stepping into
the shower with the hot
water running down his body, he closed his eyes
and allowed his
thoughts to wander to the dream he had been having,
the one he had so
reluctantly awoken from. It had been so vivid
that he had actually
thought the blonde had been in his bed. He found
himself imagining
taking his dream lover right there in the shower.
In some small
corner of his mind he thought of the prophecy
of Dionyses but lost
all other thought as he stroked his hardening
staff, murmuring the
name he fantasized about.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow walked down the stairs of her parents' house
groggily, her
eyes widening when she saw the time. "Well, I
guess I'll be having
lunch instead of breakfast." She grumbled and
put on a small pot of
coffee. She couldn't remember the last time she
had slept so late.
<Why is it you are always more tired when you
get an extra hour of
sleep?> She wondered. Okay, so this was more like
an extra 4 hours,
but still. Maybe it was the crazy dream she had
had the night before.
She was Vampire Willow and was replaying all the
events that had
happened when Vamp Willow had been brought to
this dimension. Except,
in her dream, *she* was actually Vampire Willow.
It had seemed so
real that she was still a little elated from the
sensation of control
and power her dream self had held. And damn, she
looked *good* in
leather! She got up and poured herself a mug of
coffee and sat
pensively at the kitchen table. She did have access
to one of her
mother's credit cards… maybe it was time she went
on a little
shopping spree. The redhead smiled at the thought
and sipped at her
steamy drink.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Buffy paced the floors in her mother's house, thankful
for once that
Joyce was on an extended vacation to her sister's
place in New York.
It was nearly 1:00 in the afternoon and she was
already nervous about
going out of her house. Afraid that she may find
herself going to
him, her deepest, darkest fantasy guy. The best
thing for her to do
was to simply stay in doors until the week was
over. But then what
about patrolling? She stopped her pacing for a
moment and mentally
decided on a plan of action and returned to walking
the floors. Okay,
she would go out to patrol only, if she was out
there fighting evil
and whatnot, then she wouldn't be thinking about
him. Therefore, she
wouldn't go to him and do something that she knew
she would regret
for the rest of her life. Buffy plopped down on
the couch and turned
on the television. She channel surfed until she
came to a movie on
cable starring Hugh Grant. She took a deep breath
and closed her
eyes, concentrating on the British accent. God,
it always turned her
on when she heard an Englishman speak. So caught
up in listening to
the movie, she hadn't really noticed that her
own hand had found its
way down to between her legs.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Xander fell onto the bed exhausted. Anya collapsed
on top of him, a
satisfied grin on her face. She rolled off of
him, trying to catch
her breath. "So…" She panted, "This new prophecy…
it's all
about…
deep, dark fantasies?" She asked between breaths.
Xander nodded, "Yep. All those hidden desires that
everyone is afraid
to show will come out."
She looked at him, curiosity in her eyes, "So what's yours?"
Xander let out an uncharacteristic laugh, "Don't you wish you knew."
"Yeah, I do."
"Well," Xander propped his head up on his hand
and stared intently at
his girlfriend. A strange feeling had taken hold
of him, making him
feel none of the nervous shyness that had previously
controlled him.
"There is this one thing that I've always wanted
to do."
Anya smiled desirably at the lustful gaze she was receiving.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Spike turned on the tele and sighed at the annoying
sunlight outside
his shaded windows. He was so bored! There were
still 4 hours left
until he could go out. He sighed heavily and gulped
his mug of pig's
blood.
Chapter 3
Buffy packed up Mr. Pointy and headed out for patrol
shortly after
sunset, hoping for some action to relieve some
of the sudden sexual
tension she felt. <Damn prophecy> she thought.
She headed straight
for one of the cemeteries in search of vampires
to dust.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Pulling on an old pair of worn denim jeans, Rupert
Giles prepared for
a night on the town. He stuffed a large roll of
cash in his pocket
and left his apartment, grabbing his duffel bag
as he did so. He
groaned inwardly at the sick looking car he owned
and spit on it as
he passed. Not a block away he passed a parked
silver convertible
Prowler. Satisfied that no one was watching, he
hopped into the front
seat and slid down under the dash, ripping off
the bottom of the
steering column on his way down. In one swift
motion he hot-wired the
car and the engine roared to life. Ripper sped
down the road in
search for some fun.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Are you sure?" Anya asked, surprised at her boyfriend's request.
Xander nodded, heat spreading throughout his body
at the thoughts
pulsing through his mind. He pointed to his dresser.
"It's in there,
in the top drawer, in the back. Go put it on."
He commanded.
Not used to hearing such blatant authority coming
from him, Anya went
into the drawer and gave one last glance toward
her lover and headed
for the bathroom.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow grabbed her mother's visa card and trotted
out the door and
into the Jeep her parents had left behind. She
started it up and
rushed to the Sunnydale mall. <Time for a bit
of shopping> she
thought with a grin. Once at her destination,
she looked through the
mall's directory. "Here's a store I would never
normally shop in."
She said to herself and headed down the corresponding
corridor.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Spike strode through the streets of downtown Sunnydale,
bored. <Where
is everyone?> He thought. He couldn't find any
of the scooby gang.
Well, he knew Xander would be boffing his demon
by now so he didn't
bother with him. The watcher was out and he couldn't
find Red
anywhere either. He could sense the slayer as
he neared one of the
cemeteries but could tell she wasn't even in a
fight yet so what was
the point of even making himself known to her.
He stopped dead in his
tracks, "What the--?" He said as a small blonde
haired girl of about
20 ran by him completely naked. Spike watched
in shocked confusion as
a dark-haired guy ran after her, also naked, both
of them laughing.
He heard the girl shriek the name "Michael" and
shook his head.
"Stupid humans." He grumbled as he continued his
walk toward the
Bronze. He figured someone would eventually show
up there before the
night was through.
Chapter 4
Ripper lit a cigarette and stalked quietly through
the trees,
stopping to watch as a small group of vampires
attacked the girl. She
put up a pretty good fight but he could tell that
the demons were
young yet. He inhaled deeply and dropped his black
leather bag to his
feet and leaned against a tree. The last of the
three vampires turned
to dust and Ripper strode out from his spot, clapping
slowly.
Buffy whirled around at the sound of someone clapping.
Her mouth
dropped when she saw Giles dressed in faded denim
and smoking a
cigarette. "Giles! Um... hi."
"Ripper's the name, girl." He inhaled on his cigarette
and studied
her through squinted eyes.
Buffy shifted her weight from foot to foot, suddenly
uncomfortable in
the presence of her watcher. <Ripper? Did he
say his name was Ripper?
> She asked herself. "So... um... I really dusted
those vamps,
huh?"
The older man dropped his cigarette on the ground
and crushed it with
the heel of his black boot. He walked up to her
and blew smoke in her
face, causing her to cough. "Yes, well, those
vampires were
barely
fledglings." He turned and opened his duffel bag,
taking out two
swords. "Let's see how you do against a real opponent."
He tossed her
a weapon.
The slayer caught the blade expertly. "Um, Giles...
I mean
Ripper...
I don't think this is such a good idea. I mean
you were the one
who
taught me how to fight, remember?"
Ripper chuckled wickedly, "Believe me girl, *I*
did not teach you
how
to fight. Now, arm yourself." He advanced on her
quickly with
some
fakes of his sword, watching her as she moved
carefully out of his
way.
Buffy dodged Ripper's attempted strikes, trying
to keep a safe
distance between them at the same time trying
to ignore the exciting
feelings growing inside her. She had never truly
seen such a
dangerous side to Giles, not even when he ate
that candy. She blocked
a high strike and jumped back out of range.
Ripper's anger was growing, "Come on girl! Fight!"
"Giles, I'm not going to fight you!" She responded.
He advanced on her forcefully, dealing blow after
blow. She blocked
every one of them but he succeeded in pushing
her back against the
stone wall of a mausoleum. He blocked a strong
strike from the blonde
and circled their blades, throwing hers out of
her hands. He brought
the sharp edge of the sword to her throat and
his face up to her
own. "I win." He said huskily, delighting in her
apparent
apprehension and fear. He felt her squirm under
his strong hold and
smiled wickedly. Buffy attempted to bring her
knee up into his groin
but he blocked it with his leg. "Tsk, tsk, tsk,
no manners, girl.
What would your watcher say?"
"You... you *are* my watcher."
Ripper laughed again. "You silly chit, *I* am not
your watcher at
all."
"But..."
He sighed dramatically, "What do I have to do to
get through that
thick head of yours?" He pulled her head back
by her hair and let
his
blade drop to the ground. He looked her up and
down. "Mmmm... so
young."
Buffy inhaled sharply when he gripped her by the
hair. She knew she
could easily throw him off of her but something
inside of her told
her not to. Something inside of her stirred pleasurably
at his
dangerous tone and forcefulness. Images from hundreds
of fantasies
flooded her mind. She struggled to keep hold of
her sanity, knowing
that it was the prophecy that was causing all
of this. "Giles...
please..."
Ripper pressed his body against hers and tightened
his hold on her
hair. "Who?"
She closed her eyes briefly at the feel of his
erection against her
pelvis. She felt the last of her resolve melt
away and she opened her
eyes filled with lust and desire. "Ripper." She
smiled.
He bent down and ravished her lips, dueling his
tongue with hers for
domination.
-----------------------------------------------------
Anya stepped out of Xander's bathroom dressed in
the leather
bodice
and fishnet stockings. She tapped the small rider's
crop in the
palm
of her hands and smiled at her lover.
Xander swallowed hard at the sight of his leather-clad
girlfriend and
waited for her demand.
