RATING: Don't know yet, PG-13 (just to cover any cursing that pops up) may be different as the story goes on.
PAIRING: Willow/Spike eventually, maybe more, my muse hasn't told me yet. J
DISCLAIMER: I own none, Joss Whedon, WB, Fox, Mutant
Enemy (Grr, Arg!) own all Buffy stuff. I promise to put them back
when I'm done playing with them (Oh how I love
to play!). The characters of Star Trek Voyager belong to Gene Roddenberry
but
he's dead now and I don't know who gets the credits
anymore, but I assure you it's not me!
FEEDBACK: Need I ask?
SPOILERS: General season 4. For all those non-Voyager
watchers: Basically, the crew of Starship Voyager has been trying to
get home for the past like 7 years. The Dr. is
a hologram, Tuvoc is Vulcan, B'Lana is half human, half Klingon and Seven
Of Nine
used to be a Borg drone. That's all I'm saying,
if you want more info you'll have to watch the show. J
SUMMARY: The crew of Voyager finally gets home or do they?
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry in advanced for spelling any
of the names wrong. If anyone knows the real spellings please send them
to
me and I'll edit for part 2.
DEDICATION: For Susanne because she ignited the
story in my head with her idea which was inspired by an episode of Voyager.

Chapter 1
Katherine sighed heavily as she gazed out at the
vastness the stars offered, sipping her tea. It hadn't been too long ago
that
she would've told anyone that she wanted to spend
her life here amongst the heavens. Now she wanted nothing more than to
just sit on the couch with her dog and then jog
through the park, smelling real smells of grass and flowers instead of
synthesized aromas accompanying advanced holo-technology.
"Captain to the bridge." Chekotay's voice came over the intercom.
"On my way." Katherine responded. She set down
her teacup and exited her ready room onto the bridge. "Report." She
commanded.
The first officer stood at attention briefly before smiling. "We think we may have found our pathway home."
Katherine's breath caught in her throat. "What do you mean?"
Chekotay faced the helm, "On screen Lieutenant.
"Aye, aye sir." Tom Paris couldn't help but smile
as he brought the picture of the wormhole on screen and turned in his chair
to
face the captain.
Katherine Janeway took two steps toward the huge
screen. "Maximum magnification." She ordered. She took two more slow
steps and stood at the helm. "My God." She whispered.
She couldn't tear her eyes from what she saw. The wormhole was so
immense that with this magnification she could
actually make out a small blue planet at its end. "Mr. Kim, scanners?"
Harry Kim went over the already reported data that
the scans showed for the captain's benefit, "Scans show the it's the third
planet in a solar system, class M, populated with
humans." He paused when she looked at him. "It's Earth Captain."
"Are you certain?"
"Yes Captain, I am."
Katherine turned to her first officer; "We're going
home." She said before turning to the screen again. "Mr. Paris, lay in
a
course."
-----------------------------------------------------------
The night was particularly chilly for June in Sunnydale
and a thin mist covered the ground. Buffy, Spike and Willow walked
quietly through the cemetery awaiting the newest
string of "mysteriously murdered" victims of the community to rise. They
had
counted five suspicious looking deaths in the
paper. Willow was there more for moral support than anything else, that
and she
longed to simply be near the object of her affection.
Spike was clueless as to her feelings toward him. She had done a cleansing
spell as part of a now daily routine so he wouldn't
be able to sense any change in her upon his proximity or anything else.
She
would be mortified if he ever knew, knowing that
he would either laugh in her face or simply use her for a good (she hoped)
fuck
and then laugh at her. She was glad that Riley
hadn't gotten back from his debriefing yet; she liked having the old Buffy
back
who wanted Willow to join her on patrols. Willow
stopped as she saw two rather dirty vampires step into a clearing following
a
third cleaner one. She assumed he was the sire.
She sat herself on top of a headstone and held onto her stake just in case
one
happened to get to her. She loved watching Spike
fight, letting out all of his penned up aggression, thinking of other ways
she
could help him out with that. <Bad Willow!>
She scolded herself and settled onto the cold stone. It was show time.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Katherine sat in her captain's chair and gave a
look to her first officer. He nodded at her and she smiled briefly. "Go
to yellow
alert. All hands, this is the captain; as many
of you already know we have come upon a wormhole that appears to be a shortcut
through the forest to our ultimate destination:
Earth. We are about to enter into this anomaly. All hands stay at your
stations
until the away team has secured the area." She
turned off the ship-wide intercom and looked at the screen in front of
her.
"Take us in Mr. Paris, nice and easy. Watch for
any spatial distortions." She held her breath as they entered the giant
wormhole
using thrusters only. The ship rattled and most
of the lights went out on the bridge save for the emergency power. "Report!"
"I've lost navigation. I'll have to finish the flight manually." Tom answered.
"Shields are holding at 80% Captain." Tuvoc added.
"Main power is offline," Harry Kim answered, "but
the reserve power is holding. It appears to be a result of the wormhole.
I'm
certain it will come back online once we're through."
Katherine nodded, "Easy does it Mr. Paris."
"Aye, aye Captain."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow held her stake out in front of her as Spike
threw a vampire her way. He impaled himself on it and turned to dust at
her
feet. Spike and Buffy had managed to dust the
two fledglings but just as the sire was about to meet his doom, the other
three
suspicious murder victims rose and entered the
clearing with their own sire. The two of them were now fighting off 4 vampires.
Willow tried to step in but Spike had ordered
her to stay back and she had thankfully obeyed. Spike was hooting and hollering
joyously as he beat the shit out of one of the
sires. One of the fledglings jumped on his back and tore at his throat.
Blood spilled
from his wound and Willow yelped from her position.
Somewhere she found the courage to jump off her perch, stake in hand and
plunged it into the back of Spike's newest opponent.
Willow's force was such that it brought them both to the ground, the stake
being knocked out of her hands. She landed on
top of Spike and gasped at the wound in his neck. She tore at her long
skirt and
tied a tourniquet around his neck to stop the
bleeding. "Spike! Spike, are you okay?"
Spike rolled over and looked at her and coughed.
"Bloody hell! That fucking hurt!" He tried to yell but it came out all
garbled. He
spit blood to the ground and rolled his eyes.
"Spike!" Willow panicked.
"What?!" He reached up to touch her face but she
was kicked to the side by the vampire Spike had been fighting. "Willow!"
He
called after her.
The vampire lifted Spike off the ground and threw
him up against a tree. "How pathetic! A master vampire aiding the slayer
and
worrying about a little red-headed side-kick."
He leaned in closer to Spike's ear and whispered, "Don't worry, I'll be
sure to turn
her for you. I'll bet she's a real good fuck too,
eh?"
"Piss off!" Spike seethed as he brought his knee
up to the other vamp's groin. He grabbed hold of his dark hair and slammed
his
face into his knee, feeling the bones break beneath
the blow.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The Starship Voyager came through the wormhole
and main power returned almost immediately. Everyone on the bridge stared
at the beautiful sight before them. It was indeed
Earth. The captain stood on shaky legs. "Report." She said.
"Main power is online Captain." Ensign Kim informed,
"Shields are maintaining at 80%. All sensors still reporting that it is
Earth.
Scanners are a bit fuzzy though…" He
touched some buttons on his console.
Katherine walked over to him, "Clarify."
Harry looked at his data confused; "It's definitely Earth, but…"
"But what Mr. Kim?"
"But I'm not sure it's the same Earth we left.
Structures are different. But I can't get a clear reading. There's a lot
of distortions
directly under us."
"Tom, move us passed the distortions." Katherine commanded.
Tom attempted to do so and looked up apologetically, "I'm sorry Captain, but it appears that we're stuck."
"What do you mean we're stuck?"
"I can't break this position, something is holding us here, I don't know what."
"Nothing is showing up on scanners that suggests
any kind of tracking beam." Harry piped in; "Whatever's holding us here
is not
man made."
All eyes were upon her as she mentally decided her next move. "Are transporters functional?" she asked.
"Yes ma'am." Harry answered.
"Good," She walked up the steps to the door of
the bridge, "Mr. Paris, Tuvoc, you're with me. Chekotay you have the bridge."
She left with the two men.
They arrived in transporter room 2 and stepped
onto the platform. Tuvoc gave the ensign the coordinates before he joined
the
captain and Paris.
"Energize." Katherine ordered.
"Um… Captain?" The ensign hesitated. "The coordinates you gave aren't registering."
"What do you mean?" Tom asked.
"I can get you to the surface but not at these
coordinates. Only one set is registering at this time. It's in proximity
of where
you want to go though… Ma'am."
"That's fine Ensign. Energize."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Buffy fended off the two vampires and side-kicked
one into a low branch of a tree, turning him to dust instantly. She turned
to
get her bearings and saw Spike crawling on the
ground to Willow's still body. "Willow!" she cried. The remaining vampire
threw
her against a mausoleum, knocking her to the ground
briefly. She leapt to her feet, anger seeping out of her skin. She was
about to pulverize him when three shapes shimmered
into existence in front of them. Both opponents stopped and stared as
three people materialized before their very eyes.
Buffy heard Spike cry out Willow's name and focused back on her task at
hand.
She punched the vampire, sending him reeling backwards.
He regained his footing and attacked her again. Out of nowhere a
laser beam knocked him off his feet. Buffy looked
over to the newcomers. She caught the eyes of the white man who had
apparently shot the vampire. She nodded thanks
and ran to her friend's side, vaguely aware that they were following her.
"Willow?" she knelt to her side. "What happened?"
"The bloody bastard kicked her across the fucking graveyard." Spike spat, angry at himself for letting his guard down.
"Mr. Paris," Tuvoc admonished, "need I remind you of the Prime Directive? It clearly states…"
Tom threw his hands up; "Tuvoc, I know what the
Prime Directive states. Don't worry, I set the phaser to stun. He'll be
fine in
about an hour."
Katherine went over to the three people on the ground, "Is there anything we can do?" She asked the blonde girl.
Buffy looked up at her through tears. "Can you
help her?" She pleaded. Her eyes drifted to behind them. "Look out!" she
shouted.
Tom looked behind him, phaser at the ready and
blasted the man again. "What the--" he turned the weapon to kill and blasted
him again when he got up once more. "That oughta
do it." Within one minute the man rose again and stumbled toward them.
Buffy strode over to the vampire, pushing Tom gently
aside, and roundhouse kicked the demon to the ground. The vampire
staggered to his feet and, realizing he was out
numbered, ran off through the cemetery. Buffy returned to her friend's
side.
"Whoa…" Tom whispered. Tuvoc raised an eyebrow at him.
Buffy finally noticed Spike's gaping wound. "Oh my God Spike, are you okay?" she asked.
Spike nodded, "I'll be all ri…" He collapsed on top of Willow.
"No!" Buffy screamed. "Help me!" she pleaded to the newcomers, "Please, help them! Willow!" She cried as sobs raked her body.
Katherine touched her com-badge, "Voyager, 6 to beam up." She commanded.
A crackled voice came back over it, "I'm only reading 5 life signs Captain."
"I don't care, lock onto my com-signal and beam us directly to Sick Bay. That's an order."
"Yes Captain."
Chapter 2
Kathryn watched as the Doctor and Tom busied themselves on the two wounded people from the surface. She glanced over at the blonde-haired girl chewing her fingernails. She walked over to her and gently touched her arm. "The Doctor will help them."
Buffy nodded at the woman, not knowing at the moment if she could be trusted or not. She knew they weren't in Sunnydale anymore but all she could think of now was Willow getting better, and Spike of course. She hated to admit it but the vampire had grown on her. She continued to watch the Doctor's every move. He approached her carefully; "The girl is resting, she's unconscious at the moment but she should wake up soon. Just a couple of broken ribs and a bump on the head."
Buffy let her held breath out slowly. "Poor Wills, that's gonna hurt for awhile."
"On the contrary," the Doctor responded, "I tended her wounds she'll be fine when she wakes up."
Buffy stared wide-eyed at the balding man in front of her, "Oh… well, can I see her?"
The Doctor smiled, "Of course you can." After she had walked away he turned to Kathryn. "Captain, may I have a word with you in private please?" He led her into his office and they both stood looking out on the sick bay floor. "Captain, there's something I think you should know about our new guests."
"Go on Doctor." Kathryn folded her arms.
The hologram sighed, "The red-head is fine, healthy young woman probably around 20 years old. How exactly did you come across the man?"
"They were in a middle of a fight with another man and the red-dead was already on the ground unconscious, the blonde man crawled over to her--"
"Did you say he crawled over to her?"
"Yes, why?"
"Captain, that man on my table has been dead for more than 125 years."
"What?"
"That man that you beamed up is a long dead corpse."
"That's impossible," Kathryn reasoned, "I saw him crawl and talk with my very own eyes." Silence fell between them and she looked out at the blonde girl holding her friend's hand, "I think it's time I have a little talk with our guest."
Tom watched the girl, admiring her young beauty as well as her fighting abilities. "So… my name's Tom, what's yours?"
Buffy looked up at him with a worried look. She smiled shyly, "I'm Buffy, this is Willow, and that's Spike over there." She nodded over towards the table where the blonde man laid.
Tom knew that the man hadn't survived and was about to tell her when the captain approached them. "Hello Captain." He said to her.
"Mr. Paris." She turned to the girl and extended her hand, "I'm Captain Kathryn Janeway." She paused, "And you are?"
Buffy stood and shook her hand, "Buffy Summers. This is Willow and that's Spike. I want to thank you for helping us. I know they may not have survived if you hadn't… whatever you did to get us here. Um… where exactly is here?"
Kathryn smiled, "Why don't we take a walk and talk while we wait for your friend to wake up." She led the young girl out of sick bay and began to explain where they were.
Buffy stared out of a porthole; "Whoa… this is so heavy."
"Heavy?"
"Yeah… unbelievable. I'm actually on a spaceship that was built in the future. That is so cool. Wow, the 24th century huh?"
Yes." Kathryn answered. She was really beginning to like the girl. "What year is it here?"
"It only just turned 2000 six months ago. You're off by a few centuries. But hey, maybe Giles can help; he's really good at transdimensional spells and stuff. Oh, and so is Willow and Anya. There was this time when Anya was first turned back into a hu…"
Kathryn held up her hands and stopped walking, "Wait a minute, transdimensional spells? Who are Giles and Anya?"
-----------------------------------------------------------
Spike kept his eyes shut as he came to, sensing immediately that he was some place new. He listened to the sounds in the room and tried to make some sense of it. All the voices he heard were unrecognizable. He heard someone call someone else Tuvok, and then Mr. Paris and then a Doctor of some sort. Memories flashed of the initiative but he got his nerves under control remembering that he had actually witnessed the destruction of the military installation. He opened his eyes slightly and saw Willow lying on a bed next to him. He could hear her steady heartbeat and knew she was merely sleeping. He quickly closed his eyes as a bald man approached him with a woman. She spoke to the man; "Is it a borg implant?" she was saying.
"I was hoping you could tell me. It's somewhat primitive but intricate. It's imbedded into his frontal lobe there."
The woman leaned over Spike and just as she was about to touch his head his eyes flew open, startling everyone in the room. He grabbed the woman's wrist tightly and threw her up against the wall.
"I thought he was dead!" Tom yelled as he tried to release his grip on Seven.
"Well, so did I!" The Doctor yelled back. "Security to Sick Bay immediately!" He called out.
Tuvok ran up behind Spike and pinched his shoulder with no effect. Spike looked at him, "What the bloody hell are you doing?" He asked before elbowing Tuvok in the nose, sending him flying across the room. His demon went wild at the sensations of the fight. For some reason the chip didn't appear to be functional and he was loving it. He turned his attention to the blonde woman he held in his grip. "Where's the slayer?" He demanded.
The Doctor ran up beside him and put a hypospray to his neck with no response. Spike looked at him and smiled as his demon visage came to the forefront. The Doctor dropped his instrument, "My God!" He breathed.
"Guess again." Spike answered. He was still badly damaged and needed to feed in order to heal. He watched joyously as the bald man backed up nervously. Suddenly blinding pain reached his groin as the woman he held brought her knee up. He doubled over briefly before getting up. One of the men punched him in the face but Spike was hardly fazed by the human's strike. He brought his arm back to throw his own punch before falling to the floor as searing pain ripped through his head. "Bloody hell!"
Kathryn and Buffy came running into Sick Bay at that moment. Kathryn stopped short seeing the dead man on the floor holding his head and cursing. Buffy ran over to him. "Spike! What did you do?"
"There you are slayer! I thought these bastards had taken you somewhere. Just trying to find out a bit of information is all." He explained as he stood.
Tom stood at Buffy's side, "Next time why don't you try asking?"
Spike ignored him and walked to Willow as she stirred. "Spike… Buffy…"
"I'm here Pet, so's the slayer." He helped her sit up on the bed.
She looked around nervously. "Buffy, what's going on?"
Buffy looked at the crew of Voyager
and lifted her shoulders. "I guess we need to talk now, huh?"
Chapter 3
Kathryn poured tea for herself and offered some
to Buffy. The blonde took some and passed it to Willow who offered it to
Spike. The man
who they all thought was dead rolled his eyes
at the redhead as a refusal. Looking at her newest guests aboard Voyager
Kathryn shook her
head and sat across from Buffy, who appeared to
be the leader of the three. Tuvok, Tom, Seven and The Doctor had joined
them in her
ready room along with Chakotay.
Buffy looked around nervously, feeling like she
had just been put in front of a firing squad. She sipped her tea and swallowed
the bland
tasting beverage. She smiled slightly as she thought
that Giles made better tea than the 24th century had to offer. She looked
up at the
Captain and smiled weakly; "Sorry about the whole
thing in the Sick Bay before."
Kathryn sat back and crossed her legs at her knees.
"Why don't we start there. We were under the impression that your friend
Spike here
was dead."
"I am." Spike said.
"Well… um…" Buffy tried to think of a way to explain.
Willow jumped in; "It's complicated."
"No it's not." Spike said slightly annoyed; "I'm a vampire. Technically I am dead."
"A what?" Kathryn asked.
Spike sighed, "A vampire. What's the matter, no
demons left in the 24th century?" He turned to the slayer, "Guess you'll
be out of a job then,
eh slayer?"
Tom walked around to stand in front of Spike. "You're a… a vampire? For real?"
"Captain," Seven spoke up, "What is a vampire?"
"That's what I'd like to know." Kathryn answered.
"You guys don't know what a vampire is?" Buffy asked incredulously.
Tom turned to the Captain. "A vampire is a mythical
creature from early Earth. They fed on the blood of humans and could only
come out at
night, sleeping in coffins and--"
"Do not!" Spike stood quickly and swayed. Willow stood and steadied him. He leaned on her and sat back down. "S'okay pet."
"No it's not. Spike you're still weak, you need to feed." She turned to the Captain; "Can that computer thing make a mug of blood?"
"The replicator?" Kathryn asked, cringing at the thought. "It wouldn't be real blood, just ionic nutrients that would look and taste like it. Why?"
"Spike needs to feed in order to heal." Buffy explained.
"He has an implant in his head that prevents him from hurting humans and
animals
so he has to buy his blood. Mostly he drinks pig's
blood."
Willow touched the ripped portion of her skirt
that had been made into a makeshift tourniquet around Spike's neck. "You're
starting to bleed
again, if you don't feed soon you…"
"You offering pet?"
"No!" Buffy ordered. "You can feed off of me, not Willow."
"I'm not drinking slayer!" Spike shouted.
"All right hold it!" Kathryn yelled. "Nobody's
feeding off anybody until I get some answers. Now, you're a vampire who
lives off the blood of
humans and who happens to actually be biologically
dead, and you have an implant in your head that prevents you from harming
people.
Fine," She turned to Buffy, "Who are you?"
"I'm the Vampire Slayer."
"The Vampire Slayer?"
Buffy took a deep breath, "The slayer. You see,
in every generation there's one girl who must stand alone against the forces
of
darkness… something like that, right
Wills?" Willow gave her a thumbs up and she continued. "Anyway, I'm the
chosen one who keeps
the vamp population down, among other things."
"You kill vampires?" Kathryn asked.
"Yep, and all the other demons out there. Oh! And
we stopped the apocalypse a couple of times, right Willow?" Willow nodded
in
agreement.
"Then why are you friends with Spike?"
"Well, I can't kill someone who can't even defend
himself. And somehow he just started helping us out. You see, he can hurt
demons
because they're not human."
"That explains why he was able to strike me." Tuvok
said. "And I assume Seven's remaining Borg implants made it possible for
him to harm
her."
"Yes," the captain said, "That makes sense. Okay, you're a vampire, you're a vampire slayer; that leaves you." She nodded at Willow.
"Who me? I'm just a friend."
"Don't belittle yourself Red. You have your talents."
"Like what?" Kathryn probed.
"Well, I'm really good with computers and I'm sort of an apprentice witch."
"A what?" The Captain asked.
"You're kidding?" Tom asked. "Really?"
Willow nodded happily. "A witch is someone who practices magic, y'know, spells and stuff. But they can go wrong."
"You're telling me!" Spike muttered. "Can I eat now?"
Willow stared at him seriously and held out her arm. "Promise not to take too much." She said quietly.
Spike watched her closely, smelling the scent of fear pouring off of her in waves. "Someone else has to puncture you pet."
The Doctor stepped forward. "Now wait a minute here. What do you mean puncture?"
"Well, how else do you suggest I drink her blood?" Spike asked.
"Why don't we go back down to Sick Bay so I can make sure that she heals." The Doctor offered.
The Captain nodded. Spike stood and followed the Doctor to the door. Buffy grabbed Willow by the arm. "Are you sure?"
"Don't worry Buffy." Willow said.
Buffy looked up at Spike, "If you hurt her--"
"Yeah, yeah, I know; you'll kill me."
Kathryn watched the three leave accompanied by
Tuvok and turned back to Buffy. "When we beamed down to the surface, were
you fighting
one of these vampires?"
"Yes."
Kathryn looked up at her first officer. "You've been awfully quiet Chakotay; what do you think?"
Chakotay moved from his position against the wall
and sat next to the Captain. "I think that we should go back through the
wormhole and get
back on course. This is not our Earth."
"Wait," Tom said, "We can't just leave now. Think
off all the things we could explore here at the turn of the 21st century
on Earth. Please
Captain, at least one day to go down there and
see what it's like."
Kathryn smiled at the lieutenant. "We'll see Tom. We seem to be stuck in this position as it is anyway."
"What do you mean?" Buffy asked.
"We are unable to move the ship out of its current
orbit." Seven explained. "Something has us in some kind of tracking beam
that's holding
us stationary."
Buffy nodded knowingly, "That would be the Hellmouth."
"The what?" Chakotay asked.
Buffy took a deep breath and attempted to explain the existence of the Hellmouth.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow walked slowly as Spike leaned his weight
on her. She could tell he was getting weaker. They entered Sick Bay and
she moved him
to the same bed he had been laying on before.
"Spike?" she whispered as the Doctor retrieved an instrument from a table.
"Spike, are you
okay?"
"I'll be better once I've tasted you Pet." He teased, making her blush.
The Doctor approached Willow. "Ready?" he asked.
Willow nodded and the hologram ran a small device
above her arm, cutting the skin painlessly without even touching her. As
soon as she
began to bleed she offered her arm to Spike. His
demon rose to the surface as his face changed and he held Willow's arm
gently against
his mouth as he drank, gulping the sweet ambrosia
of the redhead. His demon wanted nothing more than to drain her dry and
turn her for
himself and he had to fight with all his will
to pull away from her. He pushed her arm away and turned his back to her,
struggling to get his
demon under control as it screamed for more. "Get
out." He commanded.
The doctor ran another gadget over Willow's wound, closing it. She looked up at Spike's back. "What?" she asked.
"Willow. Get. Out." Spike ordered again.
Tuvok exchanged a knowing look with The Doctor. "I will escort you back to your friend." He said as he led her out of the room.
Spike roared with anger and flipped over the table
of instruments next to him. He turned to The Doctor, his yellow eyes alive
with anger,
hatred and sadness. "I want you to remove this
bloody chip in my head."
The Doctor stood his ground, no longer nervous around the vampire. "Why? So you can go back to killing people again? I don't think so."
Spike roared again and lunged at the Doctor, flying
right through him and landing with a loud thud on the floor of the Sick
Bay. The Doctor
sighed and helped the blonde man up. "I'm a hologram
remember? You can't harm me."
Spike took a deep breath and managed to push his demon down enough so his human face could dominate. "Right, forgot about that."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Spike and The Doctor joined them back in the Captain's
ready room 15 minutes after Tuvok and brought in Willow. By then Kathryn
had
already made the decision that they would be returning
to the surface. Buffy had insisted that her friend Giles would be able
to help them and
she had to admit that she was curious as to what
the year 2000 was like. Quarters had been set up for their three guests
for the remainder
of the night. Spike still needed to sleep to help
his healing process and both girls admitted that they were tired.
Willow tossed and turned in her bed for an hour
before finally giving up and heading toward Buffy's room. She was about
to knock when she
recognized the voice of Lieutenant Tom Paris from
behind the door. The two were talking about what their respective Earths
were like.
Willow sighed and went down one more door to Spike's
room and knocked softly, knowing that the vampire would be able to hear
her. She
didn't hear him respond but entered the room regardless.
She stared at the still form of the vampire taking in the beauty of his
naked chest.
Butterflies flew about in the pit of her stomach
as she approached him. "Spike?" she whispered. "Are you awake?"
"I am now." He said without opening his eyes. "What do you want Red?"
Willow shifted her weight from one foot to the
other. "Well… um… I just can't sleep. This…
ship is so… I don't
know… different. And Buffy has company
if you can believe that! I mean, sheesh! Even on a spaceship she immediately
gets
everybody's attention. And I was gonna see if
I could stay with her but I didn't want to interrupt. So… I
was wondering…"
Keeping his eyes closed Spike pulled open the covers,
inviting the hacker into his bed. He hid his smile when she immediately
jumped in
beside him. He had been thinking about her ever
since he fed off of her. He couldn't get her out of his mind and felt his
demon settle knowing
she was next to him.
Willow lay next to Spike feeling a little safer
than she did alone in her own quarters. She purposely didn't touch him,
a vision of the black silk
boxers she saw him wearing when he opened the
covers haunting her behind her eyelids. <I should have pleasant dreams
now> she
thought. "Thanks Spike."
"Don't mention it Red." Spike listened as her heartbeat
slowed, telling him she had quickly fallen asleep. He took an unneeded
breath,
inhaling her scent and groaned when Willow rolled
over unto him in her sleep. She rested her head in the crook of his shoulder
and placed
her small hand on Spike's chest. He wrapped his
arm around her and smirked to himself <At least I'll have good dreams
tonight> he thought
before falling into his slumber.
Chapter 4
Willow shifted on top of the cold surface she was resting on. She inhaled deeply as she began to wake up, taking in the aroma of cigarettes and leather. She blinked her eyes open and froze when she realized that the cold surface was Spike's chest; Spike's naked chest. She became suddenly aware that her leg was draped over his, her knee resting lightly against his silk boxers. She moved her fingers over his smooth skin and closed her eyes when she felt a rush of warm desire race through her. She had forgotten about the daily cleansing spell that she usually did in order to keep her feelings to herself. She had no materials here to hide her body's natural reactions to the very presence of the blonde vampire. Slowly she lifted herself from the bed, being careful not to wake him as she went back to her own quarters.
Spike opened his eyes when he heard her leave, the heavy scent of her arousal still surrounding him. He had had no idea that she wanted him. There was no way she could possibly want him more than he wanted her. Now that he knew, there would have to be some changes made. He lay back on the bed smiling and went back to sleep.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow had just finished getting dressed when Buffy came running into her room. "Buffy, what is it?'
The blonde bounced onto the bed smiling. "Nothing. Just that I had the most amazing night with Lieutenant Paris last night!" She beamed.
Willow's eyes glowed and she bounded onto the bed next to her friend and gasped, "What did you two do? Did you… y'know?"
"NO! Geez Wills, no more one nighters, remember? Actually we stayed up all night talking all about stuff. Did you know that he knows more about our time on Earth than I do? Apparently he's obsessed with Earth history, especially the 20th century; isn't that so cool?"
Willow laughed at her friend, "Um... okay."
"Are you ready?"
"For what?" Willow asked confused.
"We're going back to the surface, y'know, home sweet home? I can't wait to show Tom around town, well, except for the demons and all. And I think that Giles might be able to help them get back to where they're going. Hurry up, the captain wants to leave first thing." Buffy stood and looked at the redhead expectantly.
"But Buffy," Willow said, "It's daytime now, Spike can't go back yet."
Buffy shrugged her shoulders, "So? I can't have all of them go down in the middle of the night, they'd get killed on the Hellmouth. We can come back for Spike later.
"Well, maybe I'll just stay up here. I really wanted to explore the ship and I didn't get much sleep last night. I'll wait up here with Spike and meet you guys at Giles' after dark."
"Are you sure? Because we could make them wait."
"Don't be silly!" Willow waved her hand. "Go, show Lieutenant Paris all the good haunts. Hey, maybe we'll go Bronzing with him tonight?"
Buffy beamed at her friend's idea. "Yes!" She cried. "That would be perfect!" She walked to the door. "Okay, I'm gonna go then. I'll catch you later."
Willow waved at her friend and sighed after the door had slid shut. She got up and cautiously walked out of her room and made her way down the hallway, ready to explore the ship.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Spike strutted out of his room refreshed and fully healed. He checked Willow's quarters and was more than slightly annoyed that she wasn't there. He stood outside her doorway wondering where to go to look for her when a short, stocky man approached him wearing a rather goofy looking smile. Spike wondered if he was some kind of demon with his multi-colored skin and hair.
"Well, good afternoon Mr. Vampire, sir. I'm Nelix, the ship's Chief Morale Officer." The man said waving. "Sleep well?"
Spike cocked an amused eyebrow, "Yes." He said. "Where are the others?"
"Well, Captain Janeway took an away team down to the surface first thing this morning with your little friend there."
"Willow left?" Spike asked.
"Oh, you mean the cute little redhead? No she stayed up here waiting for you to wake up. Something about you not being able to go out in the sun? Burn easily huh?"
"Yeah, something like that." He couldn't believe that she had stayed up here simply because he couldn't go back yet. Spike turned to the man next to him. "Tell me Nelix, what do you do for fun up here?"
Nelix clapped him on the shoulder and led him down the hallway, telling him stories of battles and parties aboard Voyager.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow left Spike's room and frowned. How was she ever going to find him on this huge ship? She slowly walked back to her own quarters and was stopped by the nice Telaxian man; Nelix she thought his name was. "Hi." She smiled at him.
"Hello there Willow." He greeted. "Looking for your friend Spike?"
"Yes, have you seen him?"
"As a matter of fact he sent me to come get you." Nelix led her down the hall to the turbolift. "Deck 11." He said, sending the small elevator downward. He turned back to the slight girl next to him. "Spike wanted me to bring you to him, he's got a bit of a surprise for you." He whispered.
Willow blushed a little, "What kind of surprise?"
"Oh, you'll have to wait and see." Nelix winked and exited the turbolift with Willow close behind. He stopped in front of a door and waited until Willow was in front of it before opening it. "Go ahead in." He said.
Willow's mouth dropped at the beautiful sight in front of her. "What is this place?"
"It's the halodeck. Go on Willow, he's waiting for you." Nelix answered before closing the doors to the suite.
Willow entered the sprawling forest before her, hearing the sounds of birds singing above her in the trees. She looked up at the bright sunshine and inhaled the scent of the forest in the summer. Brightly colored trees and flowers surrounded her as she followed the trail in front of her. She hadn't gone more than a few yards when she heard Spike's voice calling her. She turned to see him step out from behind a large tree into the warmth of the sunshine. "Spike." She whispered as she walked to him, taking in his face in the sun.
Spike almost cried when he saw her look at him. The happiness written on her face was unmistakable. "'Ello pet."
Willow touched his face; "You're in the sun." She said astonished.
"I know, I can't hardly believe it myself, but here I am." He paused and took her hand in his. "Here we are."
Willow blushed at the contact and the utter desire she thought she saw in his blue eyes. She followed him as he led her down the path ending at the shore of a clear blue lake. Spike turned to Willow and held her face with his right hand. She leaned into his touch and closed her eyes as he bent to kiss her tenderly. Spike felt her open her mouth, inviting his cool tongue in. He broke the kiss and looked deeply into her green orbs. "Thank you for waiting for me."
Willow bit her lip in response, not trusting her mouth to do anything else. She felt dizzy with desire and disbelief. Could it be that he really wanted her too? She let him lead her to a red blanket laid out on the soft sand. Her nerves went into over drive as Spike pulled her down beside him on the blanket. She felt the heat rise to her cheeks and started babbling, "Spike… I, um… y'know we…"
Spike put a cool finger to her lips, silencing her nervous rant. "Shhh," he whispered. "Don't say anything, just feel." Spike kissed her again, feeling Willow's fingers tighten around his arms in a tight grip. She was alive with conflicting emotions and scents: arousal, fear, happiness. Spike slid his callused fingers up the front of her shirt and cupped a satin-clad breast, rubbing the erect nub with his thumb. He heard Willow let out a whimper and wrap her arms around his neck. Spike deepened their kiss as he ran his fingers around to the back of her bra and expertly unfastened the clasp. Finally he broke their kiss and lifted Willow's shirt off over her head. She let the bra fall from her shoulders and Spike tore his own black T-shirt off and threw it to the side.
Willow let her fingertips scurry over Spike's perfect chest. She knew the lust she saw in his eyes was reflected in her own and she moved to him, pressing her warm chest up against his cool muscles. She lightly scratched her fingernails across his back and heard him groan slightly, making her own spark of desire flame into a fiery blaze. Courage overtook her nerves and she found her hand traveling downward to the large bulge in the front of his tight black jeans. His hand covered hers and pressed into his erection, eliciting an audible growl of pleasure from him. Without tearing his lips from hers, he unbuttoned his jeans and let his hardened cock spring forward. Willow's heart raced, suddenly unsure as to what to do. Somehow sensing her hesitation, she felt Spike's hand on hers, guiding her to his marble staff. She slid her hand slowly down the length of him and then back up again, spreading the seeping pre-cum over the head of his cock.
Spike gently lay Willow down on the blanket and shook off the remainder of his clothes. Willow watched him through seemingly frightened eyes; he knew she wasn't very experienced. He hovered above her tense form and kissed her tenderly on the lips before raining kisses down her throat, stopping at each breast to give a little attention to both rosy nipples. Spike continued to move down her body, dipping his cool tongue into her navel, making her giggle. He smiled as he removed her skirt and panties. Defensively, Willow raised her knees and Spike could sense her insecurities. He gently parted her thighs, placing soft kisses down her leg to her core. Willow writhed under his touch and instinctively laced her fingers through his hair, holding him in place.
Closing her eyes, Willow let the amazing sensations flood her body. It was more than she could ever have imagined. She and Oz had never performed oral sex on each other and the new experience was intoxicating her with pleasure. She moaned loudly, causing Spike to double his efforts. He slipped his icy tongue into her wet center and rubbed her clit with his nose. Willow clamped his head in place and thrust against him. "Oh goddess… Spike!" she cried as she came.
Spike lapped at her juices, making Willow convulse with aftershocks of her powerful orgasm. He brought his face to hers and kissed her urgently, his own body demanding release. Willow's panting pleas invited him into her and he entered her in one quick, hard thrust. They both cried out and Willow wrapped her legs tightly around the vampire's waist. Spike quickened his pace, pumping hard and fast into her tight passage. "Oh Willow…" he practically growled as he pounded into her; "…so tight… so hot… Willow!" He hammered into her with three deep thrusts, spilling his cold seed into her hot depths. His demon came to the surface and he bit into her neck as he came, sending Willow over the edge for the second time. Her body met every thrust and she drowned in the pleasure his bite caused.
Willow felt Spike retract his fangs
and lick the shallow wound on her neck. They were both breathing heavy
and she thought her chest would explode with the pounding of her heart.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and closed her eyes as she smiled.
Chapter 5
"I don't know why you're so worried," Tom said
as he hurried to catch up to Buffy. "Neelix said they're on the holodeck,
I'm sure
they're fine."
Buffy stopped short causing Lieutenant Paris to
nearly collide with her. "Tom, You don't know Spike. He is a blood sucking,
evil
vampire who has tried to kill us on numerous occasions.
I just don't like that he has been alone with Willow all this time. If
nothing is wrong then why didn't Willow meet us
at Giles' after sunset like she said she would?"
"I don't know, maybe they're just having too much
fun and lost track of time." Tom tried. Buffy smiled in spite of herself
and
Tom led her to the holosuite Spike and Willow
were using.
"Hmph." He mumbled.
"What is it?" Buffy asked suddenly panicked.
"Nothing, it's just that the program has been running for over three hours now." Tom said as he opened the door to the forest.
"See? I knew something was wrong--" Her words were
cut off as she took in the site before her. "Wow! How did you fit this
place in here?"
Tom chuckled, "It's all holograms Buffy. C'mon,
let's follow the path." He started off down the trail with Buffy close
behind,
marveling at the scene from a storybook she had
suddenly found herself in.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Willow groaned and stretched as she sat up next
to Spike, causing the vampire to rake his covetous eyes over her body.
Small
scratches and bite marks covered her breasts and
shoulders. He brought a cool finger to the first bite mark at her neck.
"You
know what this means?" He asked as he sat up,
holding her gaze with his intense eyes.
Reflexively Willow touched at the shallow wound. "What?"
Spike held the back of her head, keeping her eyes
captivated by his own. His face was inches from hers, he brushed over her
pink lips and whispered in her ear, "It means
that you belong to me. No vampire around will ever hunt you again."
His words made her shiver with fearful excitement.
"We… uh… better get dressed. We have to go back down
there."
She broke free from him and proceeded to put her
strewn clothes on.
Spike leaned on his side; his head propped up on one hand. "Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why do we have to go back down there? I was having fun right here."
"Spike, we can't stay here all night." Willow smiled.
"Come on," she tossed his pants to him. "Buffy's gonna be pissed we kept
her
waiting."
"Oh, well, now I'm scared." Spike put his pants
on and watched Willow put her slender feet into her sandals. He approached
her
as she stood and slipped his arms around her waist.
"What do you think she's gonna be when she finds out we shagged like
bunnies up here while she paraded her new toy
around the mouth of hell?"
Willow wrapped her arms around his neck. "I don't
particularly care at this point." She kissed Spike passionately. "Maybe
we
could stay up here a little while longer."
"OH my God!" Buffy screamed when she stepped on to the shoreline and saw the two. "What the hell is going on?"
Willow broke the kiss; "Maybe not." She mumbled.
Spike sighed, rolling his eyes. "Oh goodie, it's the slayer come to make my unlife miserable… again."
"Buffy," Willow began, "Calm down. There's nothing to worry about…"
Buffy strode up to her best friend and Spike leaned
up against a large tree next to Tom. "Nothing to worry about? Nothing to
worry about! Willow, you're standing here kissing
a vampire and that's nothing to worry about? It's a good thing I got here
in
time before you--" Buffy gasped, finally taking
in Spike's half-nakedness and Willow's tousled hair. "Oh my God, you already
did,
didn't you?"
Willow patted down her hair and took a leaf out
of it. "There's still nothing to worry about Buffy. And by the way, need
I remind
you of a certain someone named Angel?"
Tom leaned over to Spike and whispered, "Who's Angel?"
"My bloody sire. He shagged the slayer." Spike whispered back.
"That was different." Buffy defended.
"How?"
"Well, for one thing he has a soul!"
Tom leaned over to Spike again, "You don't have a soul?"
"Nah, lost it when I got turned. Angel has one though."
"That's hardly a good case Buffy!" Willow shouted, "At least I know Spike won't go all evil the morning after."
"That's because he already is evil Willow!"
A confused look crossed Tom's face; "You're evil?" He asked the vampire.
"You betcha human arse I am. You'll do well to remember that."
"Buffy, he can't hurt me." Willow calmed her voice. "I know you're worried about me but I want to be with him."
Buffy sighed at her best friend. "I just don't
want you to get hurt." She said weakly. They stood there briefly before
Willow
managed a small smile. Buffy took her hand, "C'mon,
Giles is waiting."
Chapter 6
Giles placed the two hot cups of tea on the table and looked up at his newest guest as she made her way around to his bookshelf. Leaning up against his table he studied her demeanor; it was so easy to imagine her as a captain, her very posture radiated authority. Yet she was pleasant not arrogant, proud but not overbearing. He straightened and approached her when she pulled a book and opened it. "Find something of interest?"
Kathryn looked up and smiled at her host. "Well, it would be except that half of it is an unfamiliar language. What is this book?"
Giles turned the book over to look at the cover and cleared his throat. "Yes, well, that language is dead now so can only imagine it is unheard of in the 24th century. It's Latin."
"Oh, so this is what Latin looks like." Kathryn smiled, studying the text further. "We've all heard of it but I've never seen it in print before." She leaned slightly closer to the book as she attempted to sound out the words before her. "E tu spiritu--"
Giles snatched the book quickly from her hands. "Don't… ah, don't read it out loud. Please." He carefully replaced the volume of spells in its rightful place on the shelf.
Kathryn gaped at him in surprise, "Why not?"
"Well, because it's a spell book. Tea?" He hurried over to the table and handed Kathryn her cup.
"A what book?"
Giles sighed, "A spell book. You know, magic spells. You're not exactly trained in such matters and heaven only knows what would happen if you finished the incantation." He sat and took a sip of his tea.
Slowly Kathryn joined him. "Are you a… witch too?"
He chuckled at her use of the word, "Well, generally men are not referred to as witches. But yes, I can perform the spells if that's what you're asking." He paused as he sipped his tea again. "Um, Buffy tells me that you may be in need of a transdimensional spell to get you back home?"
Kathryn took her first taste of real tea in 7 years and closed her eyes; "Mmmm. I haven't tasted tea like this in a very long time." She smiled up at her host, "Buffy mentioned something about a spell of sorts but honestly, Mr. Giles, I would just rather go back through the wormhole and proceed on our original course"
"Please, call me Rupert, Captain."
"Kathryn."
"Kathryn." He smiled back. "Um… just how long will your original course take you to get home."
"About 60 years, give or take."
"60 years? Why so long."
"We're in a whole other quadrant of the universe, Rupert, it takes a long time to cross it."
"I dare say so. You don't need a transdimensional spell you just need one to help close the distance a bit."
"Can you do that? Get us closer to home?"
"I will have to research it a bit but I'm certain I can find something that can help you in your journey. Willow can assist me if need be."
Kathryn put down her teacup and reached across the table to touch Rupert's hand, "Thank you."
Giles smiled back and hooked his thumb around one of her fingers. He wondered just how long he could drag out his research.
The door flew open and Spike strode through it with Tom close at his heels, "Oh will you lay off!" He yelled at the Lieutenant.
"C'mon Spike, just describe it for me. I just want to know how it feels." Tom insisted as Willow entered following Buffy and closed the door behind them.
Spike turned to the annoying human, his eyes flashing yellow, "If you don't stop pestering me you're gonna find out first hand how it feels."
Tom took a step back from the angry vampire. Buffy passed by the two, "Forget it Spike, you can't turn him, remember?"
Spike growled low in his throat and stared down the man in front of him until he finally left him alone and padded off after the slayer. Spike looked up to find Willow staring at him with a lustful gaze. He smiled cockily and sauntered over to her spot at the foot of the stairs. Their eyes locked and he bent down, claiming her lips in a searing kiss.
"Oh bloody hell!" Giles muttered as he looked at his slayer questioningly.
Buffy shrugged her shoulders, "Don't bother Giles, they already did the nasty."
"Right." He grumbled, "Bloody priceless." He downed the rest of his tea.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"I don't know why I had to come along." Spike complained as he walked with his arm possessively around Willow's shoulders.
"Because," Willow answered tightening her grip about his waist, "I finally have a hot guy to show off and I want to go do it."
Spike smiled, "We could be having much more fun at my place Pet." He whispered to her, causing her to blush, "Just think of all the things we could do Luv. You should see all the nice toys I have hidden away--"
"Stop it!" Buffy warned. "I don't like that you two are together but I'm not going to stop it. But I do not want to listen to that!"
"Not my fault you got slayer hearing." Spike said smiling. He finally found something that would annoy the hell out of the ditzy blonde and she couldn't act on it. Maybe this night wasn't a total waste after all.
The group entered The Bronze and Tom leaned over to Spike as the girls searched the room for Xander and Anya. "What exactly is this place again?" He asked quietly.
"People go here to hook up and shag mate."
"Hook up? Shag?"
Spike rolled his eyes at the oblivious human, "You know, meet someone and then go in a corner somewhere and fuck. Have sex."
Tom stared back at him in worried disbelief. Spike laughed to himself and clapped him on the back. "Don't worry mate, from what I hear the slayer's got good stamina." He chuckled and made his way over to Willow, hugging her from behind and kissing her neck.
Tom looked around nervously and went to the bar to order a drink. He saw Buffy motion over to him from a table and he waved back before ordering a beer.
"Hey! Back off! Leave me alone!" A girl cried from beside him.
Tom looked to see a pretty blonde girl attempting to fight off a much larger man. Tom pushed the man away defensively. "I believe the little lady told you to back off."
The brawny oaf of a man pushed Tom back against the bar. "Why don't you mind your own business pal." He warned.
Tom put up his hands, "Hey man, sorry, didn't mean to interrupt." When the man turned his attention back to the girl Tom pinched his fingers on the guy's shoulder and prayed that he was doing the Vulkan grip the right way. He smiled triumphantly when the man sank to the floor.
"Wow," The girl said dreamily, "That was amazing." She looked up at him with her big blue eyes and suddenly Spike's words came flooding back to him. "I'm Susie." She said putting out her hand.
"Tom." He said, shaking her slender hand. "You okay?"
"Yeah. Thanks."
"Hey Babe," a dark-haired man approached them and glanced down at the rather large man at their feet. "What happened?"
Susie kissed the man on the cheek. "Michael, this is Tom, he just saved me from this asshole on the floor."
"Thanks man, buy you a drink?"
"No thanks," Tom said grabbing his beer, "Already got one. Take care." He winked at the girl and walked over to Buffy and her friends. She introduced them to Xander and Anya before they ran off onto the dance floor. Buffy and Willow quickly joined them as the DJ played Planet Soul.
"I love this song!" Willow cried as she made her way onto the floor.
Tom watched on in amazement at the large group of people gyrating to the suggestive music. "So this is how dancing is in the 20th century?" He said out loud.
Spike chugged the remainder of his beer and slammed the bottle onto the table, causing Tom to jump a bit. "Yeah mate, beautiful ain't it?" He looked at the man next to him and leaned in a little closer. "Go on Lieutenant, go show the slayer your moves."
Tom continued to watch as Buffy danced closer and closer to Willow until the two girls' bodies were touching. He moaned inwardly at the display; "I don't think I can dance like that." He answered.
"It's easy." Spike said as he stood. "Just watch me." He sauntered over to Willow and turned her around away from Buffy to face him. He heard a small gasp from her as his hands made their way down to her tight ass and squeezed her into his growing erection. They moved in time to the sexy rhythm and Spike lowered his lips to her neck and nibbled playfully. Willow whimpered as she bent back bearing her covered breasts to him. Spike slid his tongue up from the dip in her v-neck top to her chin as she straightened and planted a demanding kiss on her full lips. He gazed into her eyes and she wrapped one arm lazily around his neck as the other made its way to his denim-clad ass. Spike hissed at the contact and whispered suggestively in her ear, "Let's get outta here Pet."
"Already?"
"Well, either we leave and go back to my place now or I drag you over to a corner and shag you senseless in front of an audience."
Willow's eyes went wide and even though he smiled she knew he would do the latter if given the chance. "Lemme just tell Buffy."
"Don't bother Luv, she's a bit busy at the moment."
He motioned over to where Buffy and Tom were dancing before leading Willow
out of the club.
