~Part: 1~
Spike slowly walked up the stairs to the room prepared for them at the mansion. Willow followed closely behind him, the stairs were creaking and moving beneath them as they walked, and the air hung heavy with dust, the old building smell permeated the air, the place was old yet with spike there it was strangely comforting. Willow thought as they finally reached their room, and Spike opened the door.
" Home sweet home." Spike quipped as he entered the room.
" It's lovely, Fred has done a wonderful job at fixing up the room." Willow enthused as she scanned the room with its freshly made bed, bright curtains, scatter pillows and throw rugs.
" Bit girly for my taste, but better than a crypt any day."
Spike stated as he sat down on the bed, looking at Willow as she stood in the doorway, a look of concern creeping across her face.
"What's wrong luv?" Spike asked gently, as he lent forward and took off his boots.
"Everything is happening so fast, it feels like I'm caught in a tornado, just twenty four hours ago I was basking in the warmth of us, now it's the first night in our new home. My best friend does not even realize I'm gone." A lone tear escaped her eye as she spoke. Spike stood up and embraced Willow gently, kissing her neck tenderly before he whispered
"I can't think of any one I would rather be caught in a tornado with and as tornado's go it's quite comfortable." Releasing the embrace and scanning the room for emphasis. Despite herself Willow began to laugh.
"Thank you, I do love you, you know."
"It's ok luv, just lightening the mood, now come to bed you need to rest." Spike said, as he took Willows hand and lead her to the bed. They quickly undressed and climbed into bed. Despite the look of it the bed was surprisingly comfortable Willow thought as she snuggled into Spike's protective embrace.
"Goodnight luv" Whispered Spike as her kissed her neck, barely audible was willow's reply
"Goodnight lover, goodnight new life" as she drifted off to sleep. Spike listened to her breathing, enjoying the warmth of her skin, so enraptured by her, that he was unaware he had fallen to sleep.
The room began to change, sun light poured though the window Spike opened his eyes and tried to move out of the way of the deadly light, He looked down and saw sunlight fall across his alabaster skin, no smoke no pain. Spike realised he must be dreaming and he calmed slightly, as the room began to change again. He was in Buffy's living room watching himself telling Buffy all about Willow and the baby, telling her to mind her own business, explaining how she was jealous.
" Your jealous, if it were you and Angel things would be different." He felt himself say as he realised he was now standing in front of Buffy. Momentarily confused he didn't see the stake coming towards him and score a direct hit, the last thing he saw Was Willows tear stained face as he crumpled to dust.
Spike woke with a start and sat up almost instantaneously. Almost hitting willow as he moved.
Willow slowly turned to face him, restricted by her heavily pregnant state.
" The nightmare again, are you ok," Willow asked with concern as she laid a reassuring hand on Spike's arm.
Spike stared at Willow's belly as he spoke.
"Willow what is going on, I must still be dreaming, you only found out you were pregnant yesterday and now look at you." Spike questioned in confusion.
"Spike, your gonna be ok, I'll call Angel ok." Willow said as she slowly got up and grabbed her mobile phone from the bedside cabinet. She looked back at spike lying on the bed vacantly staring at the ceiling as she dialled Angel's number. Only the tremble in her hand betraying her true feelings.
"Angel it's happened again" She garbled into the phone.
~Part: 2~
Spike laid there listening to Willow talking to Angel on the phone, she was trying to sound calm probably for his sake but the way she sat on the bed and her trembling hands betrayed her. What was going on he had been alive for over one hundred years and this had never happened before. Each day had monotoniously followed another never a gap never a jump. "What the bloody hell was going on?" Spike thought, only realizing he had thought aloud when Willow jumped and nearly dropped the phone.
"Spike baby, don't worry Angel is on his way, you'll be ok I promise." Willow whispered gently as she brushed his cheek with her trembling hand.
"you told me this may happen when the Dreamweaver caught up with you, do you remember. You told me to call Angel when it happened and he would help you, so I called him and he's on his way." She was babbling now. "You were worried you might hurt me if the Dreamweaver took to much,"
" Willow, stop. I don't remember any of it." Spike said a little to harshly. As he looked questioningly into Willow's frightened eyes.
"Sorry luv, but the last thing I remember is going to bed in the mansion on the night you found out you were pregnant. That I am assuming by the look of you was six months ago at least." Spike stated confused. He felt guilty at his harsh tone as willow began to cry.
"I'm sorry luv, I didn't mean to be so harsh, but what is happening to me. Am I going mad, or what." Spike apoligized.
" It's ok, at least you remember me and the baby that's something, and I'll try to fill in the gaps, although it's a pretty big gap to fill." Willow began.
" About a week ago, you said the Dreamweaver sought you out, and said it wanted payment for it's services and that he would be in touch. So we researched the demon, and found out that it need's the memories of people to weave it's magic, so we assumed it would take some of your memories as payment. But we didn't know how or when. You told us that he could take some of your memories, There were some things you would like to forget and a deal was a deal after all. I tried to do a spell to protect you, but it has failed obviously. You told me to call Angel if anything happened in case you didn't know who I was and tried to hurt me. So I did." Willow continued as she held Spikes hand in hers reassuringly. Just then there was a knock at the door, Willow got up slowly to answer it. But Spike got up quickly and was at the bedroom door immediately.
"I'll get it, it's only Angel" Spike said as he was knocked off his feet as the door flew open, a tall human like figure in a black cowl with a blue mist around it strode in.
"Miss Edith and I are sad you don't remember us." Said a sarcastic female voice as the Dreamweaver removed its hood. It was unmistakably Drusilla standing before them. Willow paled in shock.
"I've come for a greater prize" was all spike heard Dru say before he was backhanded into unconsciousness.
