~Part: 1~

Willow pulled her hair away from her shoulder and revealed her neck. Spike hesitated. He took his fingers and grazed the curve of her neck. Willow shivered at the coolness of his fingers.

"Pet, I" Spike started to say but was interrupted by Willow.

"Spike, claim me. You don't have your chip. It won't hurt you. And hell I'm telling you to do this. Dosen't get much simpler. And. Spike?" She quit talking when she saw him backing away.

"I'm sorry. I can't. Red, I'm so sorry." He saw the tears starting to run down her face. He walked to her, kissed the tear drops and was gone in a moment. As fast as he had come into her life, he was now gone.

She stood there stunned. She couldn't believe it. She had offered her neck, her blood(well a taste of it) to him and he rejected her. She never even noticed when it started to rain. All of her rage and power started to rise inside of her. Fortunately all of the hurt in her that she was feeling overpowered it all. That only made her cry harder.

Spike watched her from behind a tree. He couldn't believe he had just walked away from her. He was afraid, not that he would ever admit it to ANYONE. He was scared that she would leave him. He just couldn't deal, wouldn't deal with that.

Willow looked around at her surroundings and finally realized where she was. She didn't want to go home. She would just be alone. She ran all the way to Buffy's house.

Buffy woke when she heard someone knocking at her door. She glanced at the clock. It was four am. She grabbed a stake and opened the door. She saw Willow standing helplessly in the doorway. She was drenched and her eyes were red. Her heart instantly sank for Willow. No words were spoken. She embraced Willow in a hug to tell her that she would alway be there for her. No matter what.

Willow had finally come in and gotten dried off. While she took a hot shower, Buffy went to her room to get her some clothes to change into. She found a black tank top, a flannel shirt and a pair of low cut jeans. She laid the clothes on the sink and went downstairs to the kitchen. She wondered what had happened. She didn't even know who her date had been. No one had. Willow made sure to keep it quiet.

Willow came down the stairs and saw Buffy in the kitchen. "Hey thanks for the clothes."

"I'm sorry. I know it's not really your style but it was the closest thing I had."

"They're fine. I actually like them. They're comfortable," Willow replied.

"How did the date go?"

"Fine."

"Will, it's not fine. You ended up at my front door at 4 am. In tears." Buffy saw that she didn't want to talk about it. "How about mochas before we head to the magick shop. I think you could use one."

"Mochas? That sounds good."

"Oh and Willow..."

"Yeah."

"If you want, I'll kick his ass. But you'll have to tell me who it was that you went out with."

"I'm fine. It was just one of those nights, ya know."

As Willow walked behind Buffy she slipped off the ring and put it on a chain. She slipped the necklace in her pocket. They opened the door to the magick shop and saw Anya and Xander. She gave Giles a half hearted smile letting him know the spell worked. He seemed to be more calm than she would have expected. And at that moment Spike walked out of Giles office. She felt all of her emotions stirring within her again.

Spike didn't expect to see her so soon. He didn't even know why he came here. He didn't have the chip anymore. He could do anything he wanted. Kill anything he wanted. Anyone he wanted. He then looked at her hand and felt a sharp pain in his unbeating heart. The ring he had slipped on her finger was gone.

~Part: 2~

"Red."

"Spike. Isn't it kinda early. Don't you have to be somewhere other than here?"

"Daylight, remember luv."

"Yeah burnt to a crisp. I'm sure we'll all miss you," Willow replied sarcastically.

Buffy was kinda impressed with the sarcasm coming out of Willow's mouth. "Whoa Willow. Good shot. I wish I would have come up with it myself."

"Thanks."

"Well I guess that's my cue." Spike then disappeared.

"Where'd deadboy jr go," Xander asked when he came through the door?

"I reckon he went home through the sewers. Vampires do tend to sleep during the day," Giles commented.

Willow stared at the book on demonology. She couldn't concentrate. All she could think about was last night. She didn't understand. "Giles I need some fresh air. I'll be back in a bit." Giles nodded his head acknowledging her statement.

"Do you want me to go with you," Buffy asked?

"No. I want to be alone." Willow replied.

GIles watched Willow walk out the door and retreated to his office for another drink. He had already had two drinks when the vampire had come to talk to him. Spike had told him that the spell worked. The chip was out. He also reassured Giles that he wouldn't come around to hurt them if Giles would keep the whole chip thing quiet.

Spike was walking around the crypt, almost pacing. "All I had to do was claim her but noooo I had to be the poof. Bloody great." Spike opened the bottle of whiskey and started drinking what was left. When he finished the bottle he threw it across the crypt and watched it shatter against the wall.

Willow was walking for about twenty minutes when she pulled the ring out of her pocket. She grazed her finger over the inscription on the inside of the ring. She didn't understand. The flowers, the book of poetry, the ring and than nada. She finally looked up and realized that she was standing in front of Spike's crypt. She gripped the ring in her hand and opened the door to the crypt slowly. As she opened the door she saw the bottle shatter against the wall. She looked at him and saw the tears of blood falling down his face.

~Part: 3~

She couldn't believe her eyes, tears of blood. Spike, the badass master vampire who was always so confident, suddenly seemed so vulnerable. She put the ring back in her pocket. "Spike?"

"Go away Red." Spike didn't want her to see him like this. He was vulnerable and his emotion for the witch was running high.

"No."

"What, did you run out of cutdowns or did you wanted to deliver them in person?" Spike didn't realize how harsh that sounded until after it came out of his mouth.

Every emotion in Willow was screaming. She couldn't even look at him. "Well I guess I'll be going. It was a mistake to come." She didn't even believe the words as she said them.

"Fine then. Go. See if I care."

She went to the crypt door and with all her rage she slammed it shut. She turned around and started to babble. "You can't do that. You can't say you love me and you want me to be yours and give me flowers and a book of poetry and the ri.." She was cut off when Spike walked over to her and grabbed her for a bruising kiss.

He kept thinking about how beautiful she was as she just kept on talking. She just didn't understand about claiming. What was involved in it. He couldn't stand it anymore. He had to be near her. He grabbed her and kissed her until her body responded to him and her heart rate slowed down. "You were saying pet?"

She tried to remember what she was saying. "I wanted you, to be mine and you walked away."

"Pet it wasn't like that. It's complicated."

"Complicated. You know I actually though you wanted me to be yours. I believed everything you said because I thought it was heartfelt." Willow had so much rage within her and at the same time all she wanted to do was push him down on the bed and put her hands on him.

"I don't have to try to defend myself. Hell, I'm the big bad." He wanted to reach out and touch her. He wanted to hold her and tell her that he would be hers forever. "Bloody hell, you're the one without the ring. How much devotion does that show." He knew that his last words reached the redhead.

She walked over to the bed where Spike was sitting and stood before him. She reached in her pocket and pulled out the chain with the ring. She dangled the ring in front of him. He looked up into her eyes.

~Part: 4~

Pet."

"Don't ok. I have to go."

"Why did you come here Red?"

"I thought you were worth fighting for. I thought we were worth fighting for. It dosen't matter," Willow told Spike. She walked towards the door. Spike appeared in front of the crypt door.

"It bloody hell matters to me pet." He put his fingers through her hair. "I shouldn't of left you there last night."

"It's fine. You didn't want me." Willow took two steps back from Spike. "I can't believe I offered my blood to a vampire and..."

"I followed you," Spike interrupted. Willow just looked at him not saying anything. "Last night when you thought I left. I followed you to the Slayer's house. I wanted you to be safe."

Willow took the chain with the ring out of her pocket and handed it to Spike. "This is yours. You should give it to someone." Spike could tell she was trying to hold back the tears. "You should give it to your other half or your mate or another vampire. I don't know. Just take the ring Spike."

Spike took the chain out of her hands. While looking into her eyes he searched for something to say, but there was only silence. He looked down at the chain and unclasped it. He slid the ring off of the chain and took Willow's hand. He slid the ring on her finger before she had time to say anything.

"Spike I told you.."

"I heard you," Spike said. "The ring belongs to you. I belong to you."

"I don't think I understand. You wouldn't even claim me." Willow was confused.

"Not wouldn't, couldn't. There is a difference pet."

"Couldn't? I got rid of the chip. It wouldn't hurt you."

"Red, I could have claimed you last night. I didn't," Spike took an unnecessary breath. "When I claim you, I want to claim you for my mate. It's a little different."

Willow started to smile. "Your mate?" Her heart started to beat faster. "I wouldn't have to become a vampire would I because I don't know if I want to be all grrr?"

Spike chuckled to himself. "Not until you want to, pet. The claim for a mate is eternal. It's a bond." Spike interlocked her hands with his own. He put his face near the curve of her neck and inhaled. He whispered, "even without the bond I feel you throughout my body."

"Spike."

"Promise me you'll keep the ring on...forever?"

"I promise." Willow pushed him against the back of the door and kissed him as fiercely as she could. She finally pulled away when she was out of breath. "Forever. I should get back to Giles before Buffy comes looking for me. See you tonight at the Magick shop?"

"Sure pet. Red, what about your friends? Do they know cause I don't fancy startin the night with a stake through my chest?"

"They don't know it's you. They won't exactly be supporting my decision."

"I know," was all Spike said. He didn't want to push her into something as important as this. He looked at her and wondered if she was having second thoughts.

Willow walked over to him and lifted up his face with her hands. "I don't really care what they think." She kissed him once more before she left the crypt.

Fifteen minutes later Willow walked into the Magick shop. Anya was looking through sales books for the shop. "Where is everybody," Willow asked her.

"Xander and Buffy are in the training room and Giles is in his office."

Willow walked over to Giles office to let him know that she was back. "Feel better," Giles asked her?

"Yes much better. Thank you."

"You feel like you're up for some research?"

"Sure, what are we researching?"

While Willow was helping Giles research the latest evil that has decided to present itself to Sunnydale, Spike was waiting rather impatiently for sundown. When the sun started to set he headed out of his crypt and kept to the shadows.

Willow kept watching the clock. Counting down the hours until sundown. She couldn't wait to see Spike again. She looked down at the ring and smiled to herself.

Shortly after the sun had fully set Spike walked through the door. He glanced around the room and saw that Red was absent. He walked back towards the kitchen area to heat up some blood. He walked through the kitchen door and saw Willow fixing some tea and there was another mug to the right of her. She turned around and saw him in the doorway.

"Hey," Spike said.

"Hungry?"

"Depends, are you on the menu?"

"I heated up some blood for you. I though you'd be hungry."

"Thanks. How did you know I was here," Spike asked?

"I could sense you."

Spike reached for the mug and saw that she still had the ring on her finger. He grinned and took the mug from her.

As he was walking out of the kitchen, Spike saw Giles. "I need to use your phone." Giles just gave him a funny look. "Well?"

"Fine," Giles told him. "Just close the door when you are done."

Spike walked into the office and closed the door behind him. He picked up the phone and dialed the number. He heard someone pick up the phone. "Hello." Spike waited for a couple of seconds before he spoke.

"Sire."

"Childe," was all that Angel said.

~Part: 5~

There was complete silence on both ends of the phone. Angel was playing in his mind all of the reasons that Spike would be calling him. "Sire, we need to talk."

"What did you do boy?"

"Not over the phone. LA? This weekend?"

"Do I actually have a choice," Angel questioned him?

"If I had one, do you think I would come to you Peaches?"

"When will you be here?"

"Friday night."

"Fine."

Spike scribbled something on a piece of paper and folded it. He walked out of Giles office and closed the door behind him. He dropped the piece of paper in Willow's lap as he walked past her and out the door.

Willow looked around and saw that everybody was pretty much absorbed into what they were doing. She took that opportunity to unfold the note. She saw he scribbled the words "after you're done meet me at the crypt, to talk". She spent another hour researching, and then gathered her stuff to leave. "See you tomorrow Giles."

"Goodnight Willow. Are you sure you're alright to get home?"

"I'm fine. Stake, cross, holy water. I'm all set."

"See you tomorrow then."

As Willow headed towards the crypt her mind started to race. She started thinking about everything. She was so absorbed in her thoughts she didn't even notice the vamp that was about to attack her right in front of Spike's crypt. Right before the vamp was about to lunge at her, Spike stepped out from the shadows. "I don't think so mate. She's mine."

"She's not claimed and I want to kill her," the vamp said.

"Well you got the killing part right," Spike told the vamp as he pushed a stake through its chest.

"Hey Red. Not very perceptive tonight huh?"

"You're leaving, aren't you Spike?"

"You're coming with."

"With?"

"We should go inside pet." Willow sat down as Spike poured himself a drink. He turned around and saw Willow staring nervously at the floor. "You thought I was leaving you didn't you. Love is eternal. Forever." Spike felt complete as he said those last two lines. "I will never leave you, Willow."

She looked up at him as he said her name. "So where are we going?"

"LA?"

"You do remember that Angel lives in LA, right?"

"Actually that's where we're going. To see Peaches." Spike cringed as he said the words outloud.

"I thought you couldn't stand him. I mean the hurt and betrayal and all that?"

"I'm going there to tell him about us. For his blessing."

"His blessing?"

"The bond between me and you will be stronger if I have my sire's blessing."

"What if he decides not to give us his blessing?"

"It's not mandatory Red. As his childe I have to try. I'd like you there with me."

Willow got up, walked over to Spike and sat in his lap. "I'll go with you. When do we need to leave?"

"Tomorrow night. When the sun goes down."

"Besides someone should go with you to make sure you don't get staked."

"Funny Red." She tried to get out of his lap but he pulled her back down. "Mine," was all he said.

She turned around to him and smiled. "Yours..always." She leaned back against him, closed her eyes and fell asleep. She woke up the next moring around 11:00 am. She felt Spike's arms still around her and snuggled towards him. She whispered in his ear, "Spike I need to leave."

"No. Stay here," he mumbled.

"We have the whole weekend. I have to pack and I told Giles I would stop by."

"What are you going to tell them about where you're going and with who?"

"As I see it, it's none of their business Spike."

"You know Angel will eventually tell them, especially Buffy."

"I know. I gotta go. I'll meet you here tonight."

"Bye love."

Willow walked into the Magick shop a little after twelve noon. "Hey guys I can't stay long. I'm leaving for the weekend."

Buffy wondered where she was going. "With who?"

"What," Willow asked?

"With who and how do you know the person is even safe?"

Willow became annoyed with Buffy's questions. "It's fine. I'll be back Sunday night." She put on her resolved face.

"Willow may I see you for a moment in my office," Giles asked?

"Be right there."

Willow walked into his office. "Please shut the door."

"Giles?"

"I know you're going to LA..to see Angel...with Spike."

"How do you know?"

"Spike phoned me about thirty minutes ago. What he's doing it's out of respect. Respect for you and respect towards his sire. He loves you Willow. He wanted to tell me where you two would be incase it was dire that I reach you."

"What about Buffy and Xander, do they know?"

"No and I'm not telling them. It is your choice when you tell them. When Angel finds out you know he'll call."

"I know. Thank you."

As Willow walked out the door she could hear Buffy in the background. "Giles, you're just gonna let her go. You would ask me one hundred different questions. Why is it different?"

"Buffy you can't hold her here like a child. She's mature and responsible. This subject is finished."

Willow stopped by her house and packed her clothes. She put some cd's in her bag and grabbed her laptop before she headed out the door. She reached Spike's crypt right at sundown. She was just about to knock when the door opened. Spike was standing there in his jeans. She could tell he just woke up. Spike could hear her heart starting to speed up.

"Like something you see, luv?"

She grabbed him by the jeans and pulled him to her. "We don't have to go to LA, do we?"

"Pet, this is important. For us. Besides we have the whole weekend."

"Giles told me you called him."

"Yeah, I don't want him thinking I'm kidnapping you. Again."

"Buffy had a fit I was leaving though."

"What did she say?"

"Don't worry. Actually Giles put her in her place. You would've loved it. Are we ready?"

"Let's go."

Spike drove the whole way to Angel Investigations while Willow curled up beside him and slept. "Willow, we're here."

"Already."

"Pet, you've been asleep for two hours."

"Sorry."

"Don't be. We can spend some time together tonight."

Spike started walking up to the mansion when Angel turned around and said, "vampire."

"Is it Spike," Cordelia asked.

"It's too early for Spike. He'll wait till the last minute. We don't exactlly have the kind of bond we used to," Angel said with hurt in his voice. "Everybody watch yourself."

As Spike opened the door to the mansion, he couldn't believe his eyes. He knew the people by their descriptions(Willow and Cordelia emailed each other constantly). Angel had his game face on with a stake. Cordelia and Gunn both had crossbows pointing towards the door. Fred and Wesley were towards the back of the room, each with a sword. "Is all this for me," Spike asked sarcastically.

Willow came out from behind Spike and crossed the door way. She looked at Angel, "Not much with the welcome?"

"Willow," screeched Cordelia.

Angel whispered softly, "come in Spike."

~Part: 6~

Cordelia put down her weapon and ran towards Willow. Everybody else put down their weapons when they saw the seer run towards the redhead. "Willow why didn't you tell me you were coming," Cordelia asked as she hugged the redhead as tight as possible?

"You didn't know," Willow said? She glanced back at Spike to glare at him for not telling anybody but he was already preoccupied. Angel and Spike were both glaring at each other.

Cordelia punched Angel in the arm. "Don't scare the guests away," she told him.

"Guests? He's my childe," Angel replied back to her.

"Well Willow came with him and she's a guest so be nice." She told him back.

"Yeah Peaches be nice," Spike said imitating Cordelia. "I'm a guest."

"Don't push your luck Spike," Cordelia told him.

"Peaches," Gunn asked? "Like the fruit," he started laughing to himself.

Willow turned to Angel. "Well if you're not gonna start, I'll start for you. Gee Willow it's nice to see you for the weekend. It's been such a long time," Willow said mocking Angel.

Angel started to apologize when he realized what she was doing. "I'm sorry. Spike didn't tell me you were coming. It is nice to see you."

"Apology accepted," Willow told him. She gave Angel a hug and then went to talk to Cordelia.

Angel thought he heard Spike growl as Willow hugged him. He went to stand next to Spike. In a low voice he asked Spike, "did you just growl?"

"You're hearing things Peaches," Spike replied as he walked away.

After an hour of meeting and catching up with everyone, people decided to turn in. It was the first night in a long time that Cordelia didn't have any visions. After awhile the only people that were still awake were Spike, Willow, Cordelia and Angel. Cordelia pulled Willow aside from the other two vampires. She whispered in her ear, "I have something for you in the other room." They walked into the other room. "I hope you like it." She handed Willow a black bag.

"What is it?"

"Open it. Look inside."

As Willow looked inside the bag, a grin spread across her face.

"You like," Cordelia asked?

"I like," Willow responded back.

Both girls walked back into the room and saw the vampires staring at them. Willow went to put the black bag in her suitcase when Spike walked up behind her. "What's in the bag, pet?"

"Oh..umm.nothing. What did you and Angel talk about when we were in the other room?"

"Actually we sat here in silence," Angel informed Willow.

"Probably brooding," Cordelia added.

Angel seemed annoyed at her last comment. "We were not brooding. We were just, sitting here. Silently."

"Yeah you mentioned that," Cordelia said.

Angel turned to Willow and Spike. "Let me show you where your rooms are." Spike and Willow grabbed their things and followed Angel down the hall to the next floor of the mansion. Angel reached the end of the hallway and opened the door. "Spike, this is your room. Willow, your room is..."

"Here," Spike interrupted as he grabbed Willow by her waist and pulled her to him. "She's with me mate." Spike pulled her into the room and left an astonished Angel standing outside of the door.

~Part: 7~

"Spike."

"Look pet, I'm not spending a night away from you. I finally get to spend some real time with you, without worrying if I might turn into a little pile of dust and ash."

"Angel didn't look too happy," Willow commented.

"Red, he'll get over it."

"It was kinda mean. You shut the door on him."

"Evil, remember pet."

While this conversation was going on, Angel was on the other side of the door with fire in his eyes. He was furious. Angel started banging violently on the door. "Willow let me in now. Open the door." Willow could tell he was growling and probably had his game face on. "Spike, as your sire, I demand you open this door." Spike saw Willow starting to back up from the door. Spike reminded himself that when Angel got mad, his demon came out. Almost like Angelus. Usually he wouldn't mind except he saw that it was scaring his Red.

Willow looked at the doorknob and then at Spike. She didn't understand what was wrong with Angel. She looked back at the doorknob and said the following words:
 reingt mi hiteo
 tiwer rominv quet
After she had said the following words, white light came out of her fingers and hit the door.

"Pet, what did you do" Spike asked?

"I put a spell on the door. He can't get in. If he tries to break the door, there is an invisible barrier on the door. He can't come in the room. Spike, why did Angel say he was your sire?"

"He is."

"I'm confused," Willow told him. "I thought Dru was your sire."

Spike looked at her and tried to think of a way to explain. "Dru turned me into a vampire, but Angelus trained me. Taught me everything."

Angel finally left when he felt the magick hit the door. He could sense it. He stormed back to the lower floor where Cordelia was waiting. She saw his golden eyes. Cordelia picked up the crossbow that was sitting on the floor next to her. She though a demon had somehow gotten into the mansion. When Angel saw her pick up the weapon he changed back into his human face.

"What the hell is going on," Cordelia asked?

"Angel wasn't sure how he should start that sentence. When he spoke it all sort of blended together. "Spike..Willow..Bedroom." Angel felt exhausted. He fell back into the couch. "Did I miss something," Angel asked Cordelia?

"I know..about them," she answered back.

"You know. You know. What do you know? Better yet, why didn't I know? I'm supposed to be able to sense these things. He's my childe."

"Like you said, the bond has not been that strong lately," she told him.

"Still he's my childe."

Cordelia could hear the hurt in Angel's voice as he said the word childe. She could hear it when he talked about Spike in general. "Why don't we go hunt," Cordelia asked Angel? "I think you should go kill something to wind down."

"I think you're right. Let's go."

As they were walking out the door, Cordelia stopped and turned towards Angel. "I understand why you're upset. By the way, have you told them about us yet," Cordelia asked?

"Not yet," Angel commented. "Not yet."

Willow looked at Spike and a wicked grin spread across her face.

Spike saw the grin and wondered what his Red was thinking. He heard the front door shut. "Sounds like we're alone. I think the poof and the cheerleader left."

"Good," was all that Willow said. She walked over to Spike and kissed his ear gently. She then whispered, "I'm through with waiting Spike."

He looked at her with one eyebrow arched. "Luv?"

Willow walked back over to him and pulled his shirt off. She ran her hands up and down his chest. She took her hands away for a moment listening to him whimper. He pushed her against the door kissing her fiercly. Spike ripped off her shirt. He breathed in her scent. It was intoxicating. "Willow," he whispered softly. "I need you. I want you now."

"You do, do you? And what part of me is it exactly that you want," she asked as she slowly stripped out of her jeans.

When she was finished, he pulled her to him. He wanted her to feel what she was doing to him. "Pet I need to feel you," he begged. He couldn't believe that it was a human that was getting him to beg, but he couldn't explain it. Before he knew it, she pushed him down on the bed. All he could do was watch her. To him, she was mesmerizing. The only thing she had on was black satin lace bra and panties. He saw her pick something up from the side of the bed. "Pet?"

The only thing Willow said was, "I want you the way I want you." Spike felt himself drawn to her and obeying her much to his suprise. And then he saw Cordelia's gift. Brand new shiny silver handcuffs. He heard the clicks as Willow handcuffed his wrists to the bedposts.

She straddled Spike making him want her that much more. "See something you like Spike," she said with an evil smile? "Too bad you can't touch..hmmm?"

"Pet, these won't hold me for long."

"I know. I'm counting on that. It will however hold you for now. It's time for me to have my fun."

"Pet, when I loose these cuffs, you'll be beggin for more."

"Promise," she replied to him. She kissed him once and used her tongue to graze down his body slowly.

~Part: 8~

He felt her tongue graze up and down his body. Spike kept shaking the handcuffs trying to break them. Willow enjoyed herself as she felt Spike squirming under her.

"Cordelia, we should go back," Angel told her.

"Will you let those two alone," she told him.

"It's not safe. I should be there incase I don't know his chip malfunctions or something else happens."

"You're not giving this up are you," she asked the vampire?

"No I'm not. I know what Spike is capable of. Plus it's almost sunrise. Let's go."

As Angel and Cordelia entered the hotel, he sensed something was wrong. "I'll be back in a minute," he told her. As he raced off to Spike's room, Cordelia stood there shaking her head. "Spike open the door."

"Sod off," Spike replied.

"You asked for this boy," Angel told him as he broke through the door.

"Red I thought you put a spell on the door so he couldn't get through," Spike asked Willow?

"I did but I wasn't concentrating on the spell. I had other stuff to think about," she told Spike as she glanced back at him.

"Childe, what the hell do you think you're doing," Angel asked Spike.

"What do I think I'm doing. Mate, I'm the one cuffed to the bed or are you bleedin blind."

"Did you put a spell on Willow?"

"A spell? She's the witch. Should I introduce you again. Red this is Angel. Angel this is Red. The witch."

"Willow where are the keys to uncuff him," Angel asked her?

She whispered softly, "niscenta" and the cuffs dropped to the floor.

"I thought you went out," Willow told Angel.

"I came back to make sure Spike didn't hurt you. That chip could malfunction at any time. You don't know what he's capable of."

"I see," Willow stated and started laughing. Angel had on his game face and was growling at her. She put a pair of jeans and a tshirt on and walked out of the room. She met Cordelia on the lower floor.

"I tried to keep him away," Cordelia told her.

"I know. Thanks for trying."

While upstairs...."What do you think you're doing. I didn't let you come here so you could take advantage of people I care about."

"Advantage?"

"As your sire, I demand that whatever is going on with you and Willow that it ends here. I'm not asking, I'm telling you." Angel tried to read his eyes as he told him this but he didn't see anything.

Spike didn't want to listen to him anymore. He got up and walked out of the broken door frame. Angel followed right behind him yelling at him as they went downstairs. "Are you listening to me? Whatever is going on it's over." At that moment Fred, Gunn and Wesley came through the door.

Willow looked at Spike. She saw his eyes. He was so full of rage. She saw the hurt and the pain. At that moment Spike turned around to face Angel and both vampires had on their gamefaces. Spike turned to look at Red and slipped into human form. Angel also slipped out of his gameface. Willow looked down at the ring on her finger as Spike started to speak. She knew this was a way she could prove to Spike that she was his. Spike started, "You know what Angel..."

Willow stepped forward. "No Spike, let me" she told him as she placed her hand on his arm. "You know what Angel, you're not my damn sire and I don't have to listen to you."

"Willow we're friends but this dosen't really concern you. This is between me and my childe."

"If it concerns Spike, it concerns me. You're not keeping us apart," Willow told him. Spike was speechless that his Red wasn't backing down from his sire.

"Willow look at him. He's a vampire, a demon. No soul." Angel couldn't understand why she wasn't listening.

"That's what you see when you look at him. The demon. I see it too." Willow interlocked her fingers with Spike's. She looked up at Spike. "I also see the man."

Angel was furious. He knew his childe could care and love but he also knew how evil he was. He made one last attempt. "And when the chip dies out. When he can kill you, do you really think he'll hesitate. He'll drain you and kill you. He won't think twice."

The witch was beyond furious. Spike could feel her anger coming off in waves. "Pet we don't have to do this," Spike told her.

Willow wasn't backing down. She turned to Angel. "So you're saying the only reason that Spike would even contemplate being around me is because I'll be his next target as a meal?"

"Well yes. Wait, no." Angel felt like she was trying to mix up his words.

"Let's get something straight Angel. The chip. It's gone."

"I would have heard something. You're lying."

"I did a spell and got rid of it. For. Spike." Fred and Wesley started backing up towards the door. Angel then looked at Willow and his childe, Spike. He realized he had just hurt them both very much. He also realized how much he didn't even know his childe anymore and wasn't exactly sure why they had come here. Angel looked at Cordelia and knew it was going to be a long weekend.

~Part: 9~

"Willow have you finally lost it? Why would you take away his chip," Angel asked.

"It was a gift," she replied.

"No. A gift is a stuffed animal or chocolate or a book. It is not removing the boundry between safe and dead."

Cordelia saw the situation start to tense up. "How about we go upstairs and leave Angel with his two guests," she asked the other members of the room. They all nodded their heads in agreement.

"It was my gift to Spike. I chose it. Not him. He didn't even know about it."

"Poof is it so hard to believe that I actually love Red," Spike asked his Sire.

"You know what I think? I think you found out that she would be able to do the spell and this was your chance. You pretended to love her and you pretended to care for her just so that you could get that chip out of your head."

Spike was outraged at the words that his sire had spoken. "How dare you."

"How dare I what? Tell the truth? Admit it she was available to your needs."

Spike grabbed a wooden stake off of the table next to him. He walked over to Angel. "Let's get something straight mate. I love Red. From the moment I saw her. I should dust your bloody arse, but you're not worth my time." Spike then walked over to Willow. "Willow none of that, none of what he said is true."

"I know."

"You know?"

"I know you love me. I also know to lose the anger you have to walk out of here right now. Go on, I'll see you when you come back."

Spike took Willow's hand and kissed the ring that was on her finger. She looked into his eyes. "Willow," he said seriously "we're forever. Nothing will keep us apart. I love you. I'll see you in an hour." He put the stake in his jacket pocket and headed for the door. Spike stopped right before exiting the door and looked at Angel. "For once I thought you could be Angel towards me instead of Angelus. I needed your support this time." Spike walked out the door into the darkness.

Angel watched as his childe descended into the darkness. When he turned around Willow was gone. He walked into the kitchen and heated himself a mug of blood. Willow went to her room to calm down. When she reached the door, she found the note taped to the door. She walked inside and closed the door behind her. She sat on the bed and opened the note.

Willow,
I'm sorry for all of the hurtful things that were said. If it's any comfort at all, I believe in you and Spike.
      Cordelia

As she read the note, she began to smile. Coming to L.A.-not such a good idea anymore. She stared out the window looking at the stars for awhile before she headed back downstairs. Willow walked into the kitchen to get a Coke and saw Angel sitting at the table.

"Willow we should talk," Angel told her.

"Why? So you can insult me some more. So you can tell me that Spike is using me. I don't want to hear it."

The kitchen was so tense that Willow and Angel didn't hear the front door open and they didn't know that Spike was standing on the other side of the kitchen door.

Willow reached up to pop the top on the coke when he noticed it. The ring. "The ring," he said with questions in his eyes.

"I wish you knew your childe more. I love him completely. And I don't care if you don't understand it and I don't care if you don't like it. This is real and I'm happy."

Angel could feel her sincerity. Spike smiled and even held his breath as he kept listening. Angel had to ask her again. "Willow, the ring? It's familiar." And then he knew.

"It was a gift," she told him.

"From Spike wasn't it?"

"How did you know? Eww...he didn't get it off some dead woman years ago did he?"

Spike grinned at Red's last comment. Angel continued, "I gave it to him." Willow looked up at him. "Over 100 years ago," he told her. "I told him that he was to give it to the girl or vampire that he wanted as a mate." Willow started to get very nervous. "Willow why did you two come to see me?" He already knew the answer.

Willow looked up at the door and saw Spike standing there grinning. Willow found herself more relaxed. Spike walked over to Willow and put his hands on her shoulders. She leaned back in her chair and felt his body standing behind her. Spike decided now was the time. "Angel, we've come for your blessing."

~Part: 10~

Angel just stared at the both of them.  Spike took a seat next to Willow. "Poof you ok," he asked Angel.

Angel looked at Spike and then at Willow. "Willow, a sire's blessing. It's serious."  He then looked at Spike. "Spike I gave you that ring to give to your mate. A vampire. Not a human girl." It was definately not the way Willow thought the situation would go.

Spike took Willow's hand with his own and looked at Angel. "You wanted me to give the ring to my mate and I did. It's Willow. I came here for your blessing. It's all the same to me if I leave here without it."

Willow had been silent. She finally turned to Angel and spoke.  "What it's good for you but not good enough for your child?"

"What," Angel asked.

"Buffy. A human girl.  The slayer. So-called love of your life.  Does this ring a bell? Why can't you accept this?"

Suddenly Cordelia stepped through the doorway. "Cordelia go away. I'm trying to talk some sense into my childe," Angel told her.  Cordelia walked around the table and sat next to Angel. "What are you doing," he asked her? "I thought you were leaving?"

"No," she told him. "You thought I was leaving because you told me to. Since when do I ever listen to you?" She heard Angel growl while Spike started smirking. "And quit growling. You're not intimidating anyone," Cordelia told Angel. Cordelia continued. "Think about it Angel. You don't have a solid reason why they shouldn't be together. Not one."

"I have one."

"Let's hear it. I'm sure Spike and Willow would love to hear why you think they shouldn't be together."

Angel looked at her and with clenched teeth he said, "she's not a vampire."

Cordelia refused to let Angel intimidate her in front of her friends. Well her friend and the vampire that was in love with her friend. She decided the next comment could have serious consequences. "Neither am I. That didn't seem to stop you Angel." Angel looked over at Spike and Willow. Willow was grinning and Spike's mouth dropped open. He was shocked.

"Bloody hell. You're giving me trouble about Willow becoming my mate while you're shagging the cheerleader," Spike asked Angel.

Since Cordelia had already spoken up she figured she would keep going. "Angel she's going to become his mate no matter if you do this blessing or not.  I'm sorry to say this and god knows I'm the last person to stand up for Spike but don't you want be there for him. You pushed him away all the other times over the years. You need to be there for your childe. And for Willow. She's your friend, don't you want to see her happy?"

The room was in complete silence. It was especially quiet considering only two people in the room had to breathe. Angel turned to Cordelia, "You're right." He knew she would never let him forget it.

"Childe."

"Sire," Spike replied.

"This is important and serious."

"It is and I know."

"There is no going back Spike. This bond is permanent." Spike nodded in agreement with his sire. He understood what was involved. Angel looked over at Willow. "Willow I want you to be happy. This blessing is a bond. It will connect you two...forever. Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Willow listened to Angel's words carefully. After he asked her if she was ready for well forever, she looked at the ring on her finger. She looked at Angel and then started to open her mouth but then closed it. She looked over at Cordelia and then looked at Spike.

Spike saw her looking at everyone in the room. He suddenly became nervous that she had changed her mind. "Pet?"
