After finishing the patrol through various graveyards, Spike found himself on his way back to the crypt. One problem with that. He didn't WANT to go back to the crypt. Turning around, he walked the opposite direction, headed right for the dorms.

As he walked through the hallways he could feel various sets of eyes on him but he wasn't concerned with that. He only wanted to see Willow. Arriving at her door, he knocked, taking a deep breath.

Hearing the knock on the door, Willow frowned. She wasn't expecting anyone. Climbing off of her bed, she slowly made her way to her door. She knew if it was anything really bad, they would need an invitation. Opening the door, she started to grin. Spike.

His heart warmed at her smile. "Hey, luv. Watcha doing?"

"Nothing much."

"Gonna invite me I in?" 'Maybe I wasted my time.'

Willow stepped aside. "I don't really need to. You know you have an open invitation." As he stepped into the room, she shut the door behind him.

Spike glanced around the room. It was simple. Two beds, a TV, some posters, and of course Willow's computer. "So what were you doing before I got here?"

"Speaking of here, what are you doing here?"

"Finished patrol up and." He didn't want to tell her the real reason he stopped by. "Where's the Slayer?"

'Must be why he stopped by.' "She left about an hour ago. She'll be out of town for a couple of days with Riley. So I guess I'll see you later."

"Taking back your invite, luv."

"No! I mean.I thought you were here to see her."

"The Slayer? Not hardly."

"You're here to see me?"

"It was the idea. So what were you doing?" he asked again while shrugging out of his duster.

"Oh.um, just watching a movie. Wanna stay?"

"Sure, luv." 'Anything to spend time with you.' Spike watched as she climbed onto her bed, her eyes focusing on the movie once again. He looked around and saw no chairs of any kind. Or anything that even resembled a chair. 'Right, then.' He had a choice. He could climb into Willow's bed, which had some promising ideas. He then looked over at the Slayer's bed, which was his other choice and snarled at the piece of furniture. 'Seems like there's only one option.'

Spike climbed onto Willow's bed and to his surprise she moved over, making more room for him. After he got situated, he leaned down to her ear. "Sit up a bit," he whispered. Doing as she was told, he stretched out his arm, allowing her head to rest on his shoulder.

Willow smiled when she felt his arm behind her head. She curved her body slightly towards him, resting against him.

~~~*~~~
Seeing the movie credits roll, Spike looked down at Willow. She had fallen asleep about an hour before but Spike didn't mind. Instead of watching the rest of the movie, he had focused on the feeling of her in his arms. Her scent. The way she felt in his arms. The memory was engraved into his mind, his very being. "Pet," he whispered. "Luv, it's time to wake up. The movie is over."
"Mmm," she responded, clearly refusing to wake up.
Reluctantly and slowly, he pulled his arm out from under her and stood up. Knowing he should leave, Spike walked over to his duster and was about to put it on when he turned back to her. He placed his duster back down and walked back to the bed. He could either leave or stay. It was his decision. 'Right, then. I'm staying.'
Climbing back into bed with Willow, he leaned onto his side, just staring at her for a moment. He pushed a lock of her hair behind her ear, letting his mind drift. 'How am I supposed to tell you I love you?' Spike noticed Willow reaching out for him, almost frowning until she felt the cotton of his t-shirt. He then saw the frown turn into a contented smile. Wrapping his arms around her body, he pulled her close just as her eyes fluttered open.
Willow slowly opened her eyes, feeling a cool body against hers. "Spike?"
"The only one, luv."
"Is the movie over?"
"Yeah, pet. It's been over for a bit."
"Oh.but you're still here."
"That a problem?" he frowned. 'Maybe she was only being nice earlier.'
"No! I mean.well, I like you here."
"You do, do you?" he asked carefully.
"Well, yeah," she said nervously.
"How much do you like me here, pet?"
"I.uh, I don't understand." 'What was he trying to say?'
"Do you like me, luv?"
"Of course I do. We're friends, right?"
"Not what I meant. Do you fancy me, pet?" He saw the blank stare in her eyes. "I'm not very good at the talking thing. Let me show you instead." Before she could utter a single sound, he pressed his lips to hers.
Willow felt his lips against hers and the only possible thought going through her mind was that she wanted more. Bringing her hands up, she slid them through his hair.
Spike took this as a sign to go further. Silently, he demanded entrance. Being granted, he allowed his tongue to cover every surface of her warm mouth. He kissed her with a passion that stirred deep within himself. He had finally met someone who had enough fire to set a spark in him. He could kiss her forever.
