It was Halloween night and Spike was bored beyond belief. Pulling on his duster, he walked out of the crypt and went to see the one person who could brighten up his dark existence. Willow.
Knocking on her door, he waited impatiently for her to open it.
Hearing a knock, she glanced at the door. 'Isn't it a bit early for trick or treaters? They usually don't start for another hour or so.' Opening the door, she saw Spike. "You're not a trick or treater." Willow grabbed his arm, pulling him inside.
"Nice to see you too, pet."
"What are you doing here, Spike?"
"I was bored. Slow night for demons and all that. Besides I wanted to see you."
"Oh," she said softly.
"Shouldn't you be getting ready to go out?"
"Out?" she asked him confused.
"Don't you and the Scoobies go to some party or something?"
Willow started shaking her head quickly. "Not me. Not anymore."
"Why's that?"
"Two years ago we all turned into out costumes. If I'm gonna turn into something, I'd rather do it in the safety of my house. It was the same Halloween you tried to kill Buffy."
"I remember."
"Figures. Everyone always remembers Bu."
"Not the part about the Slayer, luv. I remember you."
"You never saw me that night, Spike. You left town."
"Not true."
Willow watched as his eyes glazed over, remembering the past.
"You were a vision. Full of fire. You were wearing this sexy leather outfit. Always knew you had it in you. Dusted three vamps that night just for looking at you." Spike looked into her eyes. "I knew that night I wanted you for mine. I wanted to possess you. To take you and love you."
"You.you had Drusilla then."
"I know. But I also knew you were my fire." Spike shook himself out of the moment. "So, what are you doing tonight?"
Willow was floored with everything that Spike had just confessed to her. "Oh.um.I'm waiting for trick or treaters."
"Trick or treaters? That some kind of demon?"
"No! They're little kids. They.you've never been trick or treating?"
"Can't say I have." 'I know what it is, just never been.'
Willow grabbed his hand and led him to the middle of the room. "I'll show you." She watched as he shrugged out of his leather duster, throwing it to the couch. "Ok, pretend you're me and I'll be a trick or treater.oh and there's a door between us."
"Ok. So what do I do, pet?"
"I'm gonna knock, say the words and then you give me some candy. Easy, huh?"
Spike had an idea of his own. This display of trick or treating was gonna go a bit differently. "Ready, luv."
Willow pretended to knock on the door as Spike pretended to open it. "Trick or treat," she called out.
Spike let his eyes rake over her body. He noticed she had on a pair of boxer shorts with a semi-tight t-shirt. Spike placed his hands on her hips, pulling her to his body. "Treat."
Willow's eyes widened. "What are you doing?" She could feel her heart beating faster and faster.
"Taking my treat," he smirked.
"I'm not a teat!"
"Yeah, luv. You are. My treat." Spike took a deep breath. "Be mine?" he asked softly.
Willow smiled shyly. "That's Valentine's day, not Halloween."
"I'm serious, Willow."
"No," she whispered.
"No?"
"I mean.I want you, Spike. I do. But I don't want to be a vampire."
He grinned at her confession of wanting him. "I don't want you as a vampire either. Not yet."
"You don't?" she asked confused.
"I still have the bloody chip, don't I?"
Willow took a step away from him. "Then what do you want from me?"
"Everything. I want to claim you. Take you for mine. Love you until the end of time." He watched as the emotions played across her face. Spike took a step towards her and leaned into her neck, placing a soft kiss on her skin.
Keeping his hands on her body, he gently pushed her against the wall, pressing his body against hers. Spike felt her hands starting to drift across his body. "Trick or treat?" he asked huskily.
"Treat," she said softly. "Are you gonna give me some candy?"
Spike smirked. "I'm gonna give you something, but it's not gonna be candy."
