Willow drifted through the following day, her mind on Spike. She wondered what her 'date' would be like. Where would he take her? What would they do?
A date. She hadn't been on a real date in awhile. What if she messed things up? What if she said the wrong thing? Did the wrong thing?
Spike watched her from across the room. The emotions going through her head were clearly written on her face. Once Angel disappeared into his office, Spike stood up and walked over to her. "What's going through your head, luv?"
"Spike, um.hi. I was just thinking. Cause that's what I do. I think."
"About tonight, you mean?"
"Yeah. What if.what if I don't meet your expectations?"
Spike was surprised. He was thinking all this time that he wasn't good enough for her. "What if YOU don't meet MY expectations? Are you serious?" He sat down next to her, taking her hand in his. "You're more than I ever expected. More than anything I could have ever hoped for." Seeing her smile, he relaxed a bit.
"Where are we going tonight?"
"It's a surprise. Just dress casual. Something you're comfortable in."
"Ok," she whispered.
"Oh.and Willow?"
"Hmm."
Spike leaned forward and gave her the lightest of kisses on her lips. Pulling back he looked into her eyes, seeing the emotion that they contain. "See you tonight."
Angel walked out of his office, seeing Spike. "Spike, are you working?"
"Of course."
"On what?"
"Annoying the hell out of you to start with."
"Spike," Angel growled.
"Yeah yeah, I'm going. Besides, I have something to do." Grabbing his duster, he walked outside, staying to the shadows.

After business had wound down for the day, Willow rushed upstairs to her room, still wondering where Spike had gone. She had changed quickly, changing her clothes and tying her hair back. She was comfortable but nervous. Willow had pulled on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt when she heard the front door slam shut downstairs.

"What are you doing here, Spike?" Angel inquired.
"He's here for me," Willow announced as she reached the bottom of the stairs.
Angel looked at Willow and then back at Spike. "Thought me and you discussed this. You are only to see her during work."
"That's what you said. I never agreed to it."
"So what? This is a date?"
"Yeah, mate. It is. I'm here to take Red out." Spike saw the look in his grand-sire's eyes. It held promises of yelling and fighting. He ignored it, focusing himself on Willow. "Ready, pet?"
"Ready."
"I don't like this," Angel told Willow.
"You don't have to like it, but it's gonna happen regardless."
Spike smirked at his grand-sire while curling his arms around Willow's waist. He led her outside to his.motorcycle.
"Motorcycle? When did you get a motorcycle?"
"I've had it. It's been stored up for awhile. Thought it might be a nice change." Handing her a helmet, he climbed on. "Get on, luv. And hold on tight." When he felt her arms circle his waist, he started the bike, heading down the road.
