"Spike?" she asked trying to believe her eyes.

"Bet you have more than a few questions, pet."

Willow walked over to him, ignoring the stares from everyone. She reached out to touch his face, to make sure it wasn't her imagination but changed her mind and started to pull away.

Spike caught her hand with his. He practically knew how her mind worked. "It's real. I'm real, luv." And then he saw something he felt he hadn't seen in forever. Her smile.

"But you were.how did."

"Fate," he shrugged. Letting go of her hand, he waited to see what she would do next.

Willow turned to Angel. "How could you not tell me Spike was back?"

"Didn't seem THAT important."

"He's your grand-childe."

"He's a pain in my ass. Besides you two hardly knew each other."

"You're right," she said after a long pause. "We weren't really friends. We hardly spoke to each other."

"See," Angel said proud of his conclusion.

"Then again, there was time he kidnapped me."

"Basic vampire thing to do."

"Probably. There was also the time he tried to SIRE ME!"

Angel winced at her words. "Alright, so maybe I should've told you."

"He's part of my Sunnydale past. You know, the life I left behind to come here. What if I didn't want to see him?"

"Just gives me another reason to dust him."

Anger coursed through her body as she frowned at him. "I said what if. How could you think I wouldn't want to see him? He saved us. I'm grateful for him."

Before anyone else could say anything, Cordelia stepped forward. "Why don't I show you your room and we'll leave the brooding vampires to battle it out themselves?"

"Yeah," she said softly. Without another word or glance, she followed Cordelia out of the room.
