~Part: 1~

Willow walked throught the door to the Magic Box. She looked around and saw that everyone was already there. Everyone including...Spike. His blue eyes met her green ones and for a moment it felt like her heart skipped a beat. She turned to Giles, "What are we researching?"

"A dream that Buffy had. It could be a prophecy." He handed Willow a book and went back to looking through his book. Willow took a seat on another couch on the back wall. She opened the book realizing that she had no idea what they were researching.

"Umm....Giles, can I ask you a question?" Giles and Spike both looked at the witch. She never saw Spike since she was talking directly to Giles.

"Yes," he replied as he was cleaning his glasses.

"What exactly are we looking for?"

"I believe it is of importance," he stated. "We're not exactly sure. Buffy had a dream. A vision. She felt a demon. She also felt a magical presence. Unfortunately we do not know if it is one complete demon or more than one."

"Sounds like bloody rubbish to me," Spike told the witch and the watcher.

Giles turned to him, "I never want your opinion Spike. It would do you good for you to remember that."

Spike rolled his eyes and focused on Willow again. "Giles do we know anything for certain...about anything," Willow asked him?

"I'm afraid not. I sent Buffy out to patrol to see if she could find something more out."

"Bloody hell watcher. She'll stake the bloke before he can give her the information. She ain't exactly the type to ask questions first and stake later."

"It will have to do," Giles replied sternly.

About twenty minutes had passed and Spike was getting impatient. He looked around the room to make sure that everyone was still studying their books. He had to be near her. He got up quietly from his dark corner and went to sit on the couch next to her. He sat down nervously not sure if it was a good idea to sit next to the witch but was ready to dodge any stake that might come his way. Willow looked at him with wide eyes as he sat down next to her. They were so close she could feel his cool flesh against her warm skin. And Spike could hear her heart beat speed up. He loved being near Red. The heat. Her smell. The way her skin felt against his. Willow and Spike both pretended that they were looking through their books for the new evil, but the truth was neither one of them could concentrate. Then one thing interrupted the quiet moment. Xander.

"Hey, deadboy jr., whatcha think you're doing?"

"Researching mate. It's called a book." Spike closed his book for a moment. "Ya know there's this rumor I heard about these stores that have nothing but books in them. They're called book stores, imagine that." He couldn't help but put his trademark smirk on.

Xander and Spike both looked at Willow when she laughed outloud to Spike's comment. That only made him smirk that much more.

"Wills I'm trying to stand up for you here. Ya know support and all that."

Willow looked back down at her book and began to grin. She couldn't help it. Xander started again. "Evil dead, you wanna get away from my best friend?"

Spike looked up at him, "sod off," he replied looking at the boy intensly.

~Part: 2~

Xander wouldn't give up. "I repeat myself. Back away evil dead."

"Or what," Spike couldn't resist asking in a mocking tone?

"Or it's bye bye body, hello dustpan."

"Ooohh big words for a moron."

Xander glared at him. "I don't have a chip in my head and I don't have an issue staking your ass."

Willow looked at Spike and then at Xander. She felt anger over the way Xander was treating him. It was only a matter of time before the chip shorted out. He was still a vampire. The big bad. Grandchilde of Angelus. "Xander..."

"It's ok Wills, I won't let him..."

What if I want to let him...she thought to herself.

Giles couldn't stand it anymore, "silence." Everybody stopped what they were doing and turned to look at Giles. "Are you two quite done?"

"G-man...I was," Xander started but Giles cut him off.

"Interrupting everybody else? And don't call me that."

While Giles had everybody's attention Willow glanced at Spike out of the corner of her eye. She put her hand on her thigh that was closest to Spike. She looked around the room to make sure everyone was still attentive to Giles. She then caressed her fingers gently over his leg. She knew no one would see because it only lasted seconds...and they were sitting in the back of the room.

Spike kept watching Willow out of the corner of his eye. He started to think about how persistent the moron was to keep Red away from him. The more he thought about someone trying to keep him away from her, the angrier he got. He fought to keep his demon in control. He was tired of hearing the empty threats. He wanted...Spike lost all train of thought when she touched his leg. He closed his eyes until she pulled away. He let out a small growl when her fingers left him. The growl was low enough that no one noticed. He then looked at Willow who was paying attention to the speech that Giles was making. He had been talking the whole time and Spike didn't even notice. But he did catch the end.

"My point is that Spike can't hurt her. He can't bite. And as much as I regret saying this, he does help us. He can kill demons and has vampire strength."

"See so you need me," Spike said in his most arrogant tone.

"You are disposable," Xander told him.

Giles walked over to Xander. "I understand you don't like Spike. None of us do. But he's gonna sit where he wants and do what he wants. He can't bite so drop the argument. The most he could do is lick her to death."

"Girls like that," Anya announced. "It leads to many orgasms."

"Anya, private discussions remember?"

Everyone was so busy staring at Anya they never glanced at Willow or Spike. Willow was turning three shades of red while Spike was giving Willow a suggestive look with his trademark smirk.

~Part: 3~

Spike leaned over to whisper in her ear. "Is that what you want luv? For me to lick you to death?"

She turned to Spike. "Shhhh. People are going to notice."

"So. Don't you want people to notice?"

"If someone notices here, the last thing you will see is a stake towards your heart." Spike started getting annoyed. "Spike I don't want that."
Spike had enough of the Scooby gang for tonight. "Watcher since we're really not getting anything done, I'm outta here." He turned towards Willow. "Bye Red." He grabbed his duster and walked out the door.

Anya decided this would be the time to speak up. "Can we leave too? Xander promised me lots of sex?"

Giles rolled his eyes. "Yes, please leave."

Xander and Anya were both out the door before Giles could change his mind. They never saw the vampire that was hiding behind the tree. The only people left were Giles and Willow. Willow looked up from her book about twenty minutes later and saw Spike waiting outside the window. For her. That brought a smile to Willow's face but then she started to yawn. She hadn't gotten alot of sleep lately. He mouthed that he would be at the crypt.

Giles noticed her yawning. "Willow you may go home if you wish. We're really not sure what we're looking for. We might know some more tomorrow after I've had a chance to talk to Buffy about her patrol."

"Thanks Giles." She headed out the door into the darkness. She started her way towards Spike's crypt when all of a sudden she felt a cold hand grip her throat. The hand started to squeeze the breath out of her lungs. Things started to get fuzzy when all of a sudden the vampire put her down but did not let go.

The young vampire that had Willow by the throat saw Spike standing there. "She's mine back off," he told Spike.

"I don't think so mate. She belongs to me."

"No claim."

"I don't need a bloody claim." Spike stepped towards the other vampire and he could smell the power of a master vampire. He dropped Willow but not before Spike turned the vampire into dust.

Willow looked at Spike, "Humans need to breathe. What took you so long." She started walking towards her house. She knew Spike was behind her. "And since when the hell do I belong to you." They had reached her house moments later.

"Since always I thought. Don't you want to belong to me?"

Willow looked at Spike, "Lets go inside."

As Spike and Willow went inside, other visions were taking place.

~Part: 4~

Once they were inside Spike blocked Willow at the door after she locked it. "You never answered me pet. Don't you want to belong to me?"

Willow looked in his eyes and saw what she always longed for. Unconditional love. Devotion. Trust. Willow could feel the doubt run through his body. She leaned into him. "I always belonged to you."

Spike took her hand and kissed it gently. When he let go she realized he slipped a ring on her finger.

"Spike?"

"The ring is a form of our bond."

She saw a word scrolled into the ring. She also saw Spike wearing one. "The word?"

"It's latin. It means Aurelius." Willow was hanging on every word. "It's my vampire family name. I'm offering my life to you." She replied by kissing him fiercely until she was out of breath.

Moments later the doorbell rang. Spike stared at the door like a predator.

Willow saw the vampire and laughed to herself. "Relax, it's only pizza. Go find something to watch on TV." She paid for the pizza and sat down next to him on the couch. They both ate pizza in silence while watching TV. "Spike?"

"Yeah Red."

"You won't turn me until...well until I'm ready right? Cause I don't want to be a grrr right now."

Spike started to grin. "Luv I won't force you into anything. Whenever you're ready, that's when it will happen."

Willow had another question to ask. "Why did you never claim me?"

"I didn't want to frighten you. Trust me pet I wanted to. Every chance I got." He watched her eyes. He knew she had something else to tell him. "Pet what is it?" There was silence. "Tell me."

"There is one thing." She started to blush and found her shoes interesting.

"Red you can tell me."

"Blood."

"Blood," Spike asked?

"I know this might sound weird or strange especially for a human.."

"Pet you're rambling."

"I've always wanted to taste your blood."

Spike started to grin. He lifted up her head with his fingers. "That's just one more reason why I love you Red." He slipped into his demon self and cut his wrist along one of his fangs. Then he slipped back into his human form. He offered his wrist to Willow. "Drink," he offered her.

She took his wrist and began to suck on the wound. Feeling the blood enter her mouth and down her throat. Everything around her seemed to disappear. She tasted his love and his power. She didn't realize how strong of an effect it would have on her. She even heard him purring.

Spike couldn't help but to purr. To feel her taking in his blood. He never even felt his demon come forward but he knew it would. He moved her hair off of one side of her neck. Spike started to breath in and out quickly. He bent down and grazed her neck with his fangs. She wasn't even trying to push him away. It was inviting. He sank his fangs into her neck. He felt her blood run through his body. After a couple of moments he withdrew his fangs and his human features appeared. He nuzzled into her neck until they both fell asleep. Before falling asleep he whispered, "blood is forever."

Buffy stormed into the Magic Box the next evening. She walked up to Giles. "It was Spike. Spike. I knew it."

Giles was confused. "Buffy what was Spike?"

Buffy continued, "We couldn't possible hurt the VAMPIRE, he's helpful." She was mimicking Giles. "He killed them Giles." She finally sat down. "I had a dream. A vision. I saw blood everywhere. Dead bodies and there was a railroad spike."

At that moment Spike and Willow walked through the door. Willow had worn a shirt to cover the claim. But that didn't mean she didn't feel it. Buffy stormed over to Spike and threw him across the room.

"Buffy what the hell are you doing," Willow asked?

"Stay away from him. He's dangerous. He was killing last night."

"Like hell I was slayer. I think I would've remembered."

"Where were you then Spike? Have an alibi? Give me one damn reason why I shouldn't turn you to dust?"

There was silence in the room until Willow spoke up. "He was with me."

Buffy was so shocked that Willow didn't have a problem pushing her aside so she could get to Spike. She helped him up and turned around to see that everyone was staring at them. Buffy started, "Willow you shouldn't have to spend your spare time pretending to be friends with...with him."

"Do any of you have the slightest clue at what's been going on with my life? Anything? Xander? Buffy?" There was silence. Willow shook her head and then looked at her two friends. "Spike has been living with me. Whatever the hell you saw, it wasn't him."

"I'm putting an end to this," Buffy told her.

Willow grabbed her by the wrist. "I love him."

"And after I dust him, you'll find someone new."

"There will be no one new. I love him. He's mine, now back off bitch."

Spike was impressed how his Red was standing up for him. He never saw the stake going through his heart. Willow had only let her eyes drift away for a moment. Everyone was silent as they watched Spike fall into dust except for Xander. He walked over to Buffy. "Why the hell did you do that?"

Buffy gave him a strange look. "It was Spike--vampire. No big deal."

Xander couldn't even stand to hear her voice. "It was a big deal. She loved him. Who the hell are you to decide whats best for her." He turned towards Willow. "Will I am so sorry."

A tear escaped Willow's face and hit the dust that was once Spike. At that moment everyone froze. They all watched as the dust began to build itself up until it was Spike again. He pulled the stake out of his chest and pulled Willow close to him.

~Part: 5~

Everyone was shocked. They had watched dust. Vamp dust turn back into a vampire. A master vampire that had proceeded to pull a stake from his heart. "Missing something slayer? Mr. Pointy?" He let the stake drop to the ground.

Willow watched in awe as she saw her love come back to life. "Spike. I knew you couldn't be gone. How did you? What happened?"

"Sshh. It's alright luv." He held her close against him. Feeling her body next to his. He could hear her heart beating faster and faster.

"This is of the weird," Xander stated. "What? How? What?" He just couldn't connect his thoughts or his questions.

Buffy couldn't hold her confusion in any longer. "No. No. No. I put a stake in your heart. You turned to dust. You're supposed to stay that way. You're not supposed to spring back to life. Vampire. Stake. Dust. It's really pretty simple. Poof--no more vampire. What the hell just happened?" Everyone was silent. "Giles? Info please?"

"Umm. Well yes of course. Something definately strange is going on. Usually stakes work but in this situation..well I guess it's a little different."

Buffy listened to her watcher hoping to hear some great explanation about what just happened. "Giles, we know all that. There's nothing in those watcher diaries about anything like this? Vampires popping back to life or unlife? I need something..anything would be good."

Spike couldn't conceal his wicked grin. "Afraid slayer? Think about it--all the vampires that you turn to dust just suddenly become a vampire again." He couldn't help but to think of all the blood that could be shed.

"Spike, shut up. Just stop."

"Everyone would be swimming in blood. The world would be red tinted everywhere. The smell of blood--everywhere. All of the time."

"I said stop." She didn't know what to do. She couldn't turn him to dust. And knowing she couldn't kill him--she wasn't much of a match to fight him.

"Slayers would be non-existent. There would be no good versus evil. The evil--it would take over." He could sense the anger and rage coming from the slayer. "What are you gonna do--stake me?"

At that moment dread and fear took over Buffy's body. What if he was right. What if all the vampires took form again. There would be no way she could last. No way that she would be able to live.

Spike could feel Willow's body tense as he talked of the dead rising. He smelled her fear. To him it was sweet and intoxicating. He leaned over to whisper in her ear. "Don't worry. No matter what, you've been claimed. Nothing will come near you." He saw that she wasn't relaxing so he continued. "And if they do, I'll rip it's bloody head off." With that statement he felt her relax. So the chit has a spot of violence in her he thought to himself. He saw her starting to grin.

~Part: 6~

That comment made Willow relax. She looked down at the ring remembering what Spike had said to her. His vampire family. Blood is forever.

Spike saw Xander walking slowly away from him and Willow. "Moron, what are you doing?"

"Leaving the room before you decide that I look like a meal."

"Why would I drain you, you stupid git?"

"Cause I'm human and alive. Cause I have a pulse. Might as well put a sign on me that says 'warm blood-come feed'"

"You git. I'm not gonna drain you."

"You're not?" Xander was shocked and suprised. "You can't stand me though."

Buffy turned to Xander. "That's it, egg the vampire on. Let's play twenty questions and see how far we can push him."

Buffy annoyed Spike everytime she opened her mouth. "I'm not gonna drain the moron because he stood up for my Red. As a friend he showed loyalty to her. I won't drain him. You on the other hand may not be so lucky."

"You can't hurt me. You're chipped remember?"

"Funny thing there Slayer. You dusted me, remember?"

"What's your point Spike?"

"You dusted me and I came back. Unchipped."

"That's not possible."

"What is with you and releasing the vampires' demons Buffy," Xander asked? "Do you make it into a hobby?"

"Let's try it out Slayer. You would be number three. Third times the charm."

Buffy jumped back. "No. No. No. Third time is nothing. It's bad." She walked and stood behind Giles and Xander.

Giles turned to Buffy. "We need to know if he can feed again."

"So what? You're gonna feed me to him? I don't think so."

Spike started to smirk. Everyone was so...so afraid. He could smell the fear. The only human that wasn't afraid was his fiery goddess that was standing behind him.

Willow stepped forward. "You can feed from me."

Buffy stepped around from Giles and Xander. "Oh no you don't. You are not going to feed on my best friend. I'm not going to stand here and watch you claim her."

"You don't have to stand there, you can sit," he told Buffy.

Buffy turned to Willow. "He's going to claim you."

"He already has."

"What?"
"He. Already. Has." She pulled down the collar of her shirt to reveal the bite mark.

"Wills, you let Spike claim you?"

"Yeah Xander I did."

Xander looked at Spike and then back at Willow. "Ok."

"Ok. This is anything but ok."

"Buffy, she's happy. This is a choice she made. We may not be happy with it but it wasn't our choice to make. Besides what do you want to happen? You want him to unclaim her? I don't think thats how it works."

As Xander and Buffy argued Willow swept her hair off of her neck. Spike slipped into his gameface and growled. He bit into her neck reclaiming her. Everyone stopped talking and just stared at the couple. Moments later he withdrew his fangs and slipped back into his human features. "Forever," he whispered into her ear.

She looked at him in the eyes. "Let's get out of here." She looked up at the other occupants. She bypassed Buffy. "Bye Xander. Bye Giles."

Everyone was stunned as Spike and Willow walked out the door.

Over the next hour there was silence, talking and arguing. A couple minutes later the front door flew open and off the hinges.

Giles dropped his cup of tea. "Angelus."

"Still Angel. I haven't been evil for awhile." He then looked at Buffy. "Dosen't mean I can't enjoy the violence." He grabbed her by the throat and pinned her to the wall. "You staked my childe." His grip got tighter. "Now I'm gonna kill you. I told you long ago to stay away from my family. You should've taken heed to my warning."

Xander started, "How did you...?"

"Find out? My seer."

"Cordy's dead. She's been dead," Xander said with remorse and loss in his voice.

"My new seer--Drusilla."

~Part: 7~

Giles took a step towards Angel. "Angel, please release her. Your childe walked out of here with Willow over an hour ago." Reluctantly Angel dropped Buffy and watched as she hit the ground.

"He left? But the vision..."

"Was quite precise," Giles told him. "It was quite extraordinary."

"Go on."

"Buffy did stake your childe." Giles could hear the growling coming from the vampire as his eyes flashed golden. "We watched as his dust formed back into Spike. He pulled out the stake from his own chest." Giles gave Angel a moment to absorb the information that was just given to him. "Have you ever heard of anything like this Angel? Have you ever witnessed anything similar to this?"

"No. Do you know where they were going?"

"No, I'm afraid not."

"Why was Willow with him Rupert?"

"She loves him," he stated. "He claimed her."

"Claimed her? A human?" Angel needed to know what was going on. "I should find him."

"Of course."

Angel walked over to Buffy. "If you ever come near my family again, I WILL finish what was started earlier. I will kill you. Stay away." Angel turned around and walked into the night.

~~~*~~~
Willow and Spike both walked down the street in silence. "You're quiet pet. What's wrong?"
Willow stopped walking and turned to Spike. "They won't accept you."
He knew she was talking about the slayer and her other friends. "I know."
"They won't accept you with me."
"I know," he replied quietly.
"I don't want to go back there," she told him.
Spike watched her and knew she was holding back. "What else is it, luv?"
"Well..I'm research girl. Hacker girl. Without that, who am I?"
Spike pulled her closer to him and put his arms around her waist. "You're mine."
Willow smiled at those words. Words that meant everything to her. Suddenly Spike slipped into his gameface and held onto her possessively. "Spike, what is it?" And then she heard the voice.
"William," Angel stated.
Spike continued his hold on Willow while he slipped back into human features. "Peaches. What brings you to Sunnyhell?"
"What do you think you're doing with Willow, childe?"
"She's mine," Spike stated as he nuzzled her neck. "What are you doing here Peaches? Come to shag the Slayer?"
"Actually I came to kill her." Angel saw Willow's eyes widen with surprise. "I didn't. Giles told me what happened. She tried to kill my childe Willow."
"How did you know that?" Willow asked.
"My seer had a vision of it," he told them knowing he would have to tell them about Dru.
"I thought Cordy was dead," Willow said with remorse in her voice.
"I have a new seer." Angel looked directly at Spike as he said the next statement. "It's Drusilla."
Any hope Willow had for her and Spike quickly left her body with that one word.
When Angel mentioned Drusilla, Spike felt Willow tense in his embrace. As she tried to move away from him, he felt her fear and doubt radiating from her body. He growled as he held her against him, not wanting to let her go.
Willow looked back at Spike, loving the way his arms felt around her. She turned her head to look into his eyes and thought that she saw him longing for Drusilla.
~Part: 8~
"Drusilla? Your loony childe?" Spike asked.
"Actually she's sane now. Souled," Angel told him.
"How unoriginal." Spike looked at his sire and knew he was holding something back. He turned his attention back to Willow. He could still feel her doubt. He leaned down to her ear. "It's alright luv. Why don't you go on in the house while I talk to the poof here." Reluctantly Willow turned around and walked up to the door. Both vampires waited for her to close the door until they resumed their conversation.
"She's so quiet," Angel stated softly.
"She watched her best friend stake her love tonight. She's just a little rattled."
A moment of silence passed before either of them spoke. "When I mentioned Dru tonight," Angel started. "I thought you would jump at the chance to see her. To be with her again."
"You thought wrong." Spike waited a moment before he continued. "Look Angel, I know you. WHat else was in that vision?"
Angel looked at him suprised. "I don't know."
"You don't know or you don't want to tell me?"
"Spike it wasn 't clear. There was another figure. A shadow." Angel's tone suddenly became very serious. "You need to watch your back."
Spike nodded his head in agreement. "When are you heading back to LA?"
"Tonight. As soon as possible."
"For what it's worth, you coming down here because I'm your childe..."
"I know," Angel replied.
"Bye Peaches."
"Goodbye William." Spike watched Angel drive off and then entered the house.
As he shut the door, he noticed all of the lights in the house were still turned off. "Willow," he called out but there was silence. He made his way up the stairs to the bedroom. He opened the door expecting to see her sitting on the bed, but the room was empty. Spike closed his eyes for a moment, concentrating on listening. He heard a single heartbeat downstairs. He walked down the stairs, following the heartbeat. Spike reaced the kitchen when he saw Willow sitting on the floor with a single candle. He sat down next to her, not knowing what to say. So many emotions clouded her face. He didn't know how to distinguish one emotion from another.
Willow turned her head towards him. "When Buffy staked you earlier, I fell apart on the inside. So much emotion was inside me." Then she whispered softly, "I thought I lost you."
"You will never lose me luv."
"What did you feel when she staked you."
"Don't you worry about any of that." He paused for a moment. "We do need to talk about our blood and the rings. Soon. Very soon."
"When are you leaving?" she asked softly.
"Leaving? Why would I leave?"
"I saw your expression when Angel mentioned Drusilla. You still long for her."
"I think you read that expression wrong, pet."
"I can't compete with her Spike. You loved her for a century."
He tilted her head back so she would look at his eyes. "She can't compete with you." He kissed her gently and pulled back. It was at this moment that he realized it. "You don't believe me do you?"
"No," she stated softly.
"Me and you. We're forever."
~Part: 9~
Spike took her hand and kissed the ring. He then looked into her eyes. "Do you love me, Willow?"
Willow looked into his eyes, seeing the emotion they held. "Do you really need to ask that?"
He shook his head yes. "Do you love me, Willow?"
"Of course I love you, but..." she started.
Spike put his finger against her lips. "Sshhhh. That's all I need to know. All I need to know is that you love me." He held her close as he placed a soft kiss on her neck.
"You're different now," she whispered.
Confusion flickered in his eyes. "Different? How?"
"For one...well no chip. I mean how long will you REALLY want to stay with a mortal girl?"
Spike tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I already told you, luv. Forever. You are my everything. Whatever happens to me or to you, it happens to us." He watched as doubt filled her face. "Pet, the blood..the rings..this isn't a game."
All of the things that had happened lately started swirling around in her head. Her friends not even knowing her anymore. The blood. The rings. Buffy staking Spike. Spike returning from dust. It was so overwhelming.
He could see her thoughts as they played different expressions across her face. "How about this Red? I'll go down the street and get us some dinner. Sandwiches and soda. I come back here and if you want we can eat in the dark with this one candle." He saw a smile beginning to form on her lips. "We can talk. We'll talk about today. Why I didn't stay dust. And I'll even explain the rings and blood to you. How does that sound?"
"You're really not leaving?"
"If I leave this town, you're coming with me. I told you before, this ring is a form of our bond. And now you have part of my blood in your system Red. Do me a favor, close your eyes."
"What?"
"Just trust me. Close your eyes." He watched as she reluctantly closed them. "Now concentrate on us. Can you feel me?"
Willow's smile turned into a grin as she opened her eyes. "That was...wow!"
"No matter what, you can sense me. I'll go get some dinner and I'll be back."
"Ok." Willow and Spike both got up from their seating positions from the kitchen floor. Willow watched as Spike grabbed his duster and headed out the door. Willow was about to make her way up the stairs for a quick shower when the door was suddenly flung open. Assuming it was Spike, she turned around. The only thing she saw was someone hidden in a dark cloak before she was knocked unconscious.
About twenty minutes after Spike had left the house, he returned trying to think of everything he would have to explain to Willow. When he reached the front door, he knew. He darted in the house frantically yelling for Willow. Dread and fear actually started to circulate his body. Two emotions he hadn't had for a long time. He returned back to the main room when his dread and fear turned to anger. It was at this time he saw the envelope on the side table. It was addressed to William. He opened the envelope pulling out the letter and a lock of red hair.
William,
I thought you might enjoy a lock of her red hair. Your love of your unlife will now be mine.
His demon came forward as he growled. Someone took what belonged to him. He had claimed her. She wore his mark. He crammed the letter into his pocket and ran out to his DeSoto. Climbing in, he knew there was only one place to go for help. He had to go to L.A.
~Part: 10~
Spike drove to L.A. as fast as his DeSoto would take him. He pulled up to the hotel and turned off his car. He was trying to keep his demon under control. It wasn't working. His body radiated anger. Spike flung open the door of the mansion and slammed it behind him as he entered the door.
Angel looked up when he heard the door slam. "William?" He could feel the emotions surrounding his childe.
At that moment Spike saw Drusilla enter the room. He continued to glare at her as he took a couple of steps toward her. "Where is she?" he seethed at her.
Angel looked at his seer and then his angry childe. "William, who are you talking about?"
Spike took the letter out of his pocket and threw it at Angel. He had continued glaring at Drusilla while ignoring Angel. "You know, don't you Dru? You know what happened to her?"
Drusilla looked at Spike with compassion in her eyes. "The shadow."
"What?" Spike growled.
"The shadow in my vision took her, but I don't know who he is. Or what he is. I'm sorry William."
Spike dropped on the couch feeling a loss of hope enter through his body. He looked back up at his sire, his eyes flashing golden. "Someone took what belongs to me." Then he jumped off the couch. "Wait...she can sense me."
"It won't work," Dru stated.
"Bloody hell, why not?"
"Tree loves you, but she dosen't believe you truly love her. I can feel her love for you, and her doubts."
"But I do love her Dru. I love her with everything."
"I know," Drusilla told him.
"Why would you be able to sense her Spike?" Angel asked.
Spike's eyes met Angel's. "What?"
"You said she could sense you."
"She drank from me."
"What?" Angel growled.
"And I drank from her."
Drusilla could see Angel advancing on Spike. "My Angel, please no. Look at him. He truly loves her."
Angel looked at Drusilla and pushed his anger down. He sat on the couch and motioned for Spike to sit down. Angel looked at his hands as he talked to Spike. "Does she know? Does Willow understand about the blood?"
"No."
"No?"
"I was gonna explain it to her tonight. I left to pick up some food and I was gonna tell her everything."
Angel glanced down and something caught his eye. "When did you start wearing our family ring?"
"Do you remember what you told me when you gave me those two rings, sire? You told me I was to give the other one away. To my mate."
"I remember."
"Red wears the other one."
"You can't give her some..."
"I don't care what you have to say. She's my mate. I can feel it. My life." Spike paused for a moment. "I will find her. And whoever took her will pay."
"They will pay childe. Even if it's by my own hand," Angel told him.
For the first time in many years, Spike knew Angel would stand by his family. Seconds later Drusilla dropped to the floor, having another vision.
