Buffy woke up late the next morning to find Joyce already gone to work
and a note saying she was expected at Giles’ place as soon as she was awake.
A knock at his door alerted Rupert to the new arrival. Opening his
door he found a slightly bruised Buffy.
“Buffy, so glad you could make it. Please, do come in.” Giles stated flatly.
Cautiously Buffy entered, and Giles shut and locked the door behind her.
“Giles, what’s new?” She asked a little unsure of why she was here and why he’d locked the door.
“What happened to your neck, Buffy?” Giles asked.
“Xander and I had a little disagreement. It was nothing. Listen Giles, something happened yesterday.” Buffy said.
“What is it?” He asked, waiting for Buffy to answer.
He wanted her confession about the fight between her and Willow. Hoping that if she talked about it was for her to hit Willow. He also wanted to see if she’d ask how Willow was.
Finally a few minutes of thought by both passed and Buffy began to babble the story of the entire fight. When her tale finally ended she broke out in great sobs. The sobs ended sometime later, and Buffy started to talk again.
“What happened to Willow after I left the dorm room?” She asked.
“A neighbor called an ambulance, and she was taken, unconscious, to the hospital. She was bruised up, I took her and Spike home after Xander left.” He told her.
“That must have been when he came over to my Mom’s and finished the threat he made when the Master’s people kidnapped you guys.” Buffy mumbled.
“I suppose so. That fight may have cost you all of your friends. You need to know that if your attitude doesn’t change I’m not sure if I can help you.” He told her.
“But, I didn’t mean to. Giles, honestly I didn’t mean to hit Willow.” She cried.
“That may be, but you did. You can not just hit someone, as the slayer you are too strong to hit humans. You must realize it can not happen again.” Giles explained.
Buffy left Giles’ about an hour later and all she could think about was…
I didn’t mean to do it… And I might just lose everyone.
