~  Tell me exactly what I'm supposed to do
Now that I have allowed you to beat me ~

Willow groaned as she and Spike drove back to Sunnydale.  Giles had called her with information about a prophecy that affected both of them, and they needed to come back.  Reluctantly she gave in, and that night they started back.  She didn't want to go back, but Giles sounded worried.

~ Do you think we could play another game?
Maybe I could win this time ~

She refused to let things go back to the way they were before.  She would not allow them to use her and then throw her away as before.  She was no longer insecure enough to allow them to walk all over her just so she would have friends. However, she had a feeling that they would do just that, they never wanted her to change, just to stay the same dependable Willow.

~ I kind of like the misery you put me through
Darling you can trust me completely
If you even try to look the other way
I think that I could kill this time ~

She wondered why she allowed herself to be sucked back into the same situation she ran from.  They had left because they were tired of the way her "friends" treated she and Spike, and yet when Giles called, they came running.

There was one major difference, however.  Spike no longer had his chip. The two had gone to an old friend of his, and the female vampire had removed his chip.  Willow remembered the conversation afterward:

"You're worried that he is going to kill you and your friends now." The statement shocked Willow out of her musings.

"Yeah.  He said many times over the time that he was helping that as soon as he got the chip out, we were dead."

"I won't let him.  He may be my friend, but the only reason I'm taking this out is to allow him to defend himself.  If he kills you or the Slayer without just cause, I will kill him myself."

Just then blue eyes opened, and Willow felt a wave of jealousy flow through her when Bethany helped Spike sit up and gently took his face in her hands.

The jealousy got worse at the soft conversation between the two in a language that she couldn't understand; get imagining the soft terms of endearment.  When they left together she was surprised.

"I thought you were going to stay with Bethany." She stated in the car.

"No. She's just a friend."

"What did she say in the conversation after you woke up?" she had to know.

"Basically if I kill without a good reason, I was dust."

And now they were going back to Sunnydale.  She really hoped that Buffy wouldn't be too much of a bitch, or threaten to stake Spike.  He probably could kill her without consequences.

~ Lie to me
Lie to me ~

Willow was absolutely pissed when they arrived at Giles' house to find it was all a lie.  Buffy had forced Giles to make that call to get them back there.  Once again they were on her case about leaving Spike and when she refused, Buffy threw a stake right through his heart and dusted him. Angel pulled Willow away from Buffy before she attacked her and all watched in
shock when the dust swirled in a black mist and disappeared.

~ Is she not right
Is she insane?
Will she now
Run for her life now that she lied to me ~

Willow curled around the warm body of her lover.  A few days after Buffy dusted Spike, he had come back and she thought he was a fragment of her imagination.  But in reality he was supposed to have become a ghost warrior when he died the first time, but Angelus turning him had screwed that up. Now he had come back as a ghost warrior.  And revenge was heavy on his mind.

Not just for dusting him, but for all the pain that the Slayer and the others had given Willow over the years.

"Are you sure, luv?" He asked, wanting to know if she was sure she could go through with it.

"Yes."

~ You always wanted people to remember you
To leave your little mark on society
Don't you know you wish is coming true today
Another victim dies tonight ~

Willow wondered who found Buffy's body after they left it at Giles' apartment.  Spike had playfully growled at her when she made the comment of "like sire, like childe."

"Former childe.  Peaches isn't my sire anymore."

"I loved the look on his face when he saw you walk into the room."

"It was bloody priceless."

They left Sunnydale for good this time.
