~Part 11~ The Stars Burn

Spike picked up his bloody mate, and leaned her
against a tree. The redhead whimpered. "Head hurts,
Spike."

Spike brushed the matted hair off her forehead. "It's
all right. Stay here, luv. I'll be right back."

"Kill the Slayer?" Willow sighed.

"Yeah." Spike turned to where Buffy was, suprised to
see her gone. He growled, angry. The blonde swept
Willow up into his arms, and headed to the mansion.

***

Gile opened the front door, seeing his Slayer barely
able to hold herself up, leaning against the doorjam.
He helped the bloody girl inside. Xander, Angel,
Faith, and Cordelia all stood up in alarm at the sight
of the wounded Buffy.

"Whoa! What happened?" Faith asked. Angel immediately
went to Buffy's side. "Buffy?"

The blonde Slayer looked up at Angel, tears in her
eyes. "I k-killed her, Angel. I didn't mean to. I just
wanted to talk. Our Willow has to be in there
somewhere. She was alone. I called out to her. She
walked away. I g-grabbed her arm. She scratched me.
I-I just reacted. I threw her against a gravestone.
Her head...she was bleeding. Heard her bones break.
She wasn't moving. Spike came out of nowhere. He
kicked me. He was going to kill me...but he stopped.
He went over to Willow. I ran." Buffy began to cry
softly.

Xander stood up, and walked out wordlessly. He
couldn't deal with this, not now. It was the second
time his best friend had been killed.

"Why? Why did I throw her?" Buffy sobbed. Angel
shushed her, and held her close.

***

Xander walked to the cemetary, stopping at the plaque
they had bought for Willow. She was gone. Really gone.
He felt someone hit him on the head, and felt himself
being dragged away before blacking out.

***

"Wakey, wakey." A soft voice said.

Xander opened his eyes blearily. He was tied to a
chair, not a good thing. He found himself looking into
emerald green eyes.

"Willow?! Buffy said she killed you!" Xander
exclaimed.

Xander heard footsteps approaching. "She probably
wishes." A familiar british voice scoffed. The blonde
vampire went to stand next to Willow. He kissed her
temple. "Drink him, baby. You'll get stronger."

Willow smiled fondly at Spike. "I love you, Spike."
She looked back at Xander, eyes yellow. "Night-night."
She sunk her fangs into Xander's neck and drained him
dry. She looked at her mate, eyes shining. "His blood
burns, Spikey. Just like the stars."

Spike smiled at her. "One down, seven to go."

~Part 12~ The Stars Whisper

"NO! NO!" Cordelia screamed.

"I know you're upset, Cordelia, but it's been two
days. We have to accept that Spike has most
likely...killed him, in retribution for Willow's
death." Giles said grimly.

"He did say he was going to kill us all." Oz said
quietly.

"No..." Cordelia whispered, before breaking into
sobs.

***

Willow giggled delightfully. "They all hurt. Pain is
in their hearts." Willow sing-songed. "I like it."

Spike smiled. "Good. That's good news."

Willow nodded, and sat down next to him. "Yes. They
do not know you've claimed Sunnydale. They do not know
you are the Master."

Spike pulled Willow to him. "Never gave it up,
ducks."

"Darkness is soon." Willow murmured. "Time to make
them hurt more."

***

"Cordy, it's all right. We'll kill him. He'll pay."
Faith said soothingly, as she led the still crying
Cordy home. Oz and Amy were walking quietly behind
them. Oz stopped smelling the air. "Faith...." He
called.

"What, Wolfy?" Faith called back. Before he could
reply that he smelled trouble, literally, the small
group was surrounded by vampires."

"Fuck!" Faith swore. "I can't take all twenty of them
at once!"

The vampires swarmed in, grabbing the mortals.

"Well, well. What have we here?" Spike asked the
trapped mortals as he walked over to them.

"Spike! Let them go, you bastard!" Faith exclaimed.

"Don't let my prezzies go, Daddy." Willow pouted,
standing next to Spike. He nuzzled her ear. "Don't
worry, baby. They're not going anywhere."

"She's not dead." Amy said softly, referring to
Willow.

Willow walked over to Amy. "No, but you will be." She
smiled at Amy. "You were my friend. You cared. Thank
you. Because of that, I'll make your death quick and
painless." Willow reached out and swiftly snapped the
witch's neck. Cordelia screamed.

"NOOO!" Oz howled, watching the minions drop Amy's
lifeless body to the ground.

Spike walked over to the werewolf. "Your next, mutt.
I hope you feel guilty. If only you had protected her,
Angelus wouldn't of gotten her."

"If Angelus hadn't gotten to her, she wouldn't be
with you right now." Oz spat.

"Good point." Spike smirked. "But, you *did* date
her." Spike ripped the youth's throat open with one
quick bite. He kicked the body as it hit the ground.
"Always been the jealous type. Don't like others
touching my mate."

Faith was struggling against the four vampires
holding her.

Spike kissed his mate deeply, sharing the wolf's
blood with her. "Slayer's all helpless."

Willow smiled. "Goodie. She can watch me kill
Cordelia." Willow walked over to the brunette, who had
since stopped struggling, seemingly resigned to her
fate. Willow glared at the girl who had made her
childhood a living hell. "You were so mean to me,
Cordy. Made me cry. Xander chose *you* over me. Makes
Princess unhappy. People don't like me when I'm
unhappy, not that it matters to you. You don't like me
at all." She vamped out. "Poetic justice, huh, Cordy?"
She murmured, before draining the cheerleader. She
scowled at the brunette Slayer. "Killed the bitch same
way I killed Xander."

Willow stood next to the Slayer. She stroked her face
causing the Slayer to cringe. "The stars whisper to
me." Willow told her.

"You're nuts." Faith said flatly.

Willow grinned. "They told me to save you for later."
Willow turned to the minions. "Take her back to the
mansion." The fledglings dragged the struggling Slayer
back towards the mansion.

Spike wrapped his arms around Willow. "Where to now,
Princess?"

Willow smiled evilly. "I think it's time we paid
Giles a visit."

~Part 13~ The Stars Fall

Spike stood in the shadows, virtually invisble to
human eyes. He watched as a small car pulled up into
Rupert Giles' driveway. The Watcher got out and went
and unlocked the front door, muttering something
before going inside. The technopagan followed,
laughing at whatever her husband had said. Spike
grinned as Willow opened the front door silently and
entered with no problem. He shook his head as he
walked towards the door. "Stupid, stupid Watcher."

***

Jenny and Giles whipped around as the front door
slammed shut. Jenny whipped a cross from her pocket,
and held it in front of her when she saw Willow.
Willow just smiled in response.

"W-Willow?" Giles sputtered. "How did you get in
here?"

Willow giggled. "You never revoked my invitation."

She watched in mild amusement as the Watcher pulled
out a stake and stepped in front of Jenny. "What do
you want?"

Willow smirked. "Let's just say I have a proposition
for you."

Giles looked at the redhead he used to call a friend
warily. "What's that?"

"We kill you." Spike said from behind Giles, grabbing
the stake out of his hand. Willow knocked the cross
from Jenny's grasp. "How did you get in here?!" Giles
whispered, not daring to believe he was facing death.

"The backdoor. Willow's my mate. I have access to
anywhere she does." Spike picked up the Englishman by
the throat. "Not good for you, though." He threw Giles
into his bookcase, smiling when he heard the crack of
the man's back breaking. Giles groaned as he found he
couldn't feel his legs, and that he couldn't move.
"Jenny, run!" He told his wife hoarsely.

Willow grabbed Jenny's waist, and dragged her over to
where Giles was laying on the floor. Tears were
running from the technopagan's eyes. Willow smirked
coldly at him. "Poor Watcher. He can't move. But he
can watch me kill his wife, right Spikey?" Willow
asked her mate. He laughed. "Yes, Princess, he can.
Unless I tear his eyes out." Spike told her.

Willow frowned. "Not yet. I want him to see this."
The redhead murmured as she tore her former teacher's
throat out. Giles moaned despairingly when he realized
his wife was dead.

He glared at Willow murderously. "Buffy will stake
you both. They'll kill you." Giles said quietly.

Spike watched his childe with pride when she threw
the dead woman on top of Giles, Jenny's lifeless eyes
staring up at him.

"You'll kill me anyway, but I swear it. They'll send
you both to hell where you belong." Giles repeated.

Spike grinned. "Sorry, Watcher. Not quite. The
brunette Slayer is chained up in the mansion."

Willow walked into Spike's arms. "Xander, Cordelia,
Amy, and Oz are all dead. So is Jenny. You're next,
old friend. Time for your star to fall." She whispered
to the devestated Watcher.

His glasses were wet with tears as he looked at the
redhead he considered like a daughter to him. "You're
not her. You're a bitch. She's dead. She's been dead
for two years. Willow's soul in Heaven would want you
two staked, and sent to rot in hell." The watcher
spat.

"Tell her I said hi when you see her in Heaven."
Willow whispered as she broke the Watcher's neck.

Spike grinned. "That's my girl. How 'bout we go catch
ourselves a souled vampire and a slutty Slayer?" Spike
asked his mate as he led her from the house.

~Part 14~ The Stars Quiet

The blonde Slayer and her souled boyfriend patrolled
the empty streets of Sunnydale, confused.

"Okay, this is weird. No vamps at all." Buffy
commented.

Angel had an uneasy feeling. "Something's going to
happen."

The words had barely left Angel's mouth before the
couple was surrounded by virtually every vampire in
Sunnydale.

Buffy's voice trembled as she looked up at her love.
"Angel..."

He pulled her to him, and held her tightly. "It'll be
okay, Buffy."

"Aww, isn't that sweet?" Spike sneered as he walked
past his minions and over to the trampy Slayer and his
most-hated sire.

"Spike." Angel growled. "What do you want?"

"For you to die." He replied casually.

Angel growled, and moved towards him, but was
immediately stopped by about eight of Spike's boys.

Buffy watched in horror as Angel was tackled to the
ground, and beaten unconscious by the minions.

"ANGEL!" She shrieked, already crying.

"He can't hear you." A soft voice whispered behind
her. "He's in the dark place."

Buffy whirled around to face Willow. "Willow." It was
then that Buffy realized this was no longer her shy
best friend, but a dangerous enemy.

Willow smiled gleefully when she saw the realization
enter Buffy's blue eyes. "Slayer understands." Willow
growled, and punched her former friend square in the
face, knocking her out. Spike and Willow watched as
their minions dragged their two new captives away.

Spike walked over to his beloved as she swayed on her
feet and wrapped an arm around her waist, holding her
up. "Spike. So tired. Almost over with?" She asked him
softly. Her eyelids fluttered shut for a moment,
before she opened her eyes.

Spike concealed his worry and kissed his mate gently.
"Almost over with, Princess."

***

"B! Buffy, wake up!" A voice rasped on the edge of
Buffy's consciousness. Buffy looked to her right, and
saw Faith chained to the wall, bite marks and cuts
covering her neck and throat. She looked very pale.

"Faith?" Buffy asked incrediously.

Faith nodded weakly to the blonde tied to a chair.
"Yeah."

Buffy sighed as she found she couldn't move her hands
and feet, as they were very tightly bound. She
couldn't move her body since she was tied by her waist
to the chair. "What the hell happened?"

Faith smiled humorlessly. "Blondie and his psycho
bitch got us."

"Us?" Buffy asked, dreading the answer.

"Cordy, Amy, Oz, and I were walking through the park.
We were ambushed. She killed Cordy and Amy. He killed
Oz. I was knocked out, and woke up here in these
chains this morning."

Buffy tried to will the tears of grief away, but they
streamed down her face anyway. "That was about 12
hours ago. What did they do to you?" Buffy whispered.

"Just bites. She bit me. Willow's really weak. She
collapsed as she and Spike were bringing me back here.
She's dying, B."

Buffy blinked. "Dying?"

Faith nodded weakly. "Yeah. I overheard Blondie
talking about it."

Angel groaned and opened his eyes, growling as he
found himself chained to the wall. "Fuck." He saw
Buffy and Faith. "Are you okay?"

Buffy nodded. "Faith's been here since this morning.
They killed them, Angel. Xander, Cordelia, Amy, Oz.
They're all dead."

"Red's dying." Faith told Angel.

Angel exhaled a long, un-needed breath. "Dying. How?"

Faith attempted to shrug, but it was hard to do
chained up. "I heard Spike talking, Slayer hearing an'
all, I guess. The insanity, it's making her weak. She
was okay after she was turned, but over the past year,
she's been getting worse, and weaker. She's wasting
away." Faith looked at her fellow Slayer seriously.
Her voice was devoid of any humour or wit. "Buffy,
Willow's been coming down here, and drawing blood from
me. It makes her stronger, but only for a little
while. Spike found a way to cure her. Slayer's blood.
Lots of it."

Buffy gasped as she realized what Faith was telling
her. "Oh, God..."

***

Spike knelt next to the couch, where his sleeping
love lay. Her skin was paler than it should be, it was
almost gray. He knew time was running out for his
beloved Princess. He also knew he couldn't bear to be
without her. He shook her gently, waking her. "Spike?"
She asked softly. "Tired."

Spike swept her up in his arms. "Time for some more
Slayer blood, pet. Are you hungry?"

Willow nodded, and snuggled into his chest. "Hungry.
And tired. Want to sleep."

Spike brushed his lips across her forehead. "All
right then, luv. Let's get some blood into you. Nice
and warm. How does that sound?" He asked, as he
started carrying her down the stairs.

***

Buffy heard Spike's murmuring voice and footsteps as
he desended down the stairs with a frail looking
Willow in his arms. He lead her over to Faith. Faith
knew her number was up, and glared at the blonde and
his love. "Giles will kill you for this."

Spike chuckled, and shook his head. "Dead. So's the
technopagan."

Faith looked over at Buffy, defeated. "I'm sorry,
Buffy. Angel."

Spike stroked his childe's hair. "Here you go, luv."

Willow looked up at her mate, curiousity shining in
her green eyes. "Drink?"

Spike nodded, setting Willow down as she walked over
to Faith. She pierced the Slayer's throat, and drained
her.

Spike smiled happily when he noticed that his Red's
eyes seemed brighter.

Willow smiled at her lover. "Stars are going away,
Spikey."

Willow walked over to Buffy. Buffy stared at her
defiantly. As Willow bit into her, Buffy turned her
gaze to Angel. "I love you. Always." She whispered as
her life was drained from her, closing her eyes as her
final breath fell from her lips.

Willow stepped away from Buffy and walked to Angel.
He looked at her sadly. "I'm so sorry I turned you
into this. I'm so, so, sorry. But, you aren't her. You
aren't Willow. I killed her. I hope she can forgive
me." Angel closed his eyes as he felt the stake pierce
his heart, then he felt no more.

Spike watched as Willow stiffened after the dust that
had been his sire settled. She sunk to the floor.
Spike wrapped his arms around her, raising her face to
his. "Willow? Princess?" He grew worried when she
wouldn't respond. "Baby, talk to me!"

She looked up at him, her green eyes clear and free
of madness for the first time in two years. "Spike."
She whispered. "The stars are quiet." Spike smiled,
and gave his beloved mate a kiss.

Outside, above the mansion, 11 stars, one for each of
the friends, all in a cluster, sparkled down from the
heavens.

***

The redhead smiled brightly as she saw her friends.
"Buffy, Angel!"

Buffy smiled back, knowing wasn't the monster that
inhabited Willow's body, but it was in fact Willow,
the friend she had lost two years before. "Willow!"
Buffy ran to the redhead, who was wearing a simple
white dress. She hugged her fiercely. "It's so good to
see you!"

Willow looked around. "The demon, *my* demon, killed
you. I'm sorry..." Willow wiped a tear from her eye.

An arm was slung around her shoulder. Willow looked
to the person clad in white next to her. "Hey, Wills.
Don't be sad! It wasn't you!" Xander exclaimed,
Cordelia behind him. "Yeah." She told the redhead.

"You're much nicer than that bitch in your body." The
white-clad Faith told her.

Giles shook his head, while Jenny chuckled. Oz nodded
in agreement. "Yeah, Will. She was crazy."

"Literally." Amy added with a snort.

"You..you don't hate me?" Willow asked her friends.

Xander shook his head. "No way. It wasn't you.
Besides, there's no room for hate in Heaven."

Angel gasped. "Heaven? How did I get here? Shouldn't
I be in hell? I...I killed you." He said softly to
Willow.

Willow took his hand. "It wasn't you."

Xander looked over at Angel and Buffy, who like
everyone else, were dressed in all white. "Hey, nice
threads, guys."

Buffy smiled impishly. "So we're in Heaven, huh?
Cool. Angel and I can be together! No vamps to slay,
get to have my friends, stay this young forever.
Really cool! What are we?"

Willow looked to Angel, smiling. "We're angels!"

"*I* am not a bloody angel!" A voice said from behind
Willow. Willow turned and grinned. Angel looked
stunned, and Buffy raised an eyebrow. "Gotta say, I'm
suprised to see you here."

William shrugged. "Eh, wasn't expecting to be here,
but this is where I've been the past 126 years." He
wrapped an arm around Willow.

Willow looked around to each of her smiling friends,
and smiled. They didn't blame her. She had her
friends. They were together. She was at peace.
