~Part: 1~
Willow awoke in a large bedroom on top of a large four-poster bed with black silk sheets.
//What is it with vampires and black silk anyway//, she thoughts while she stretched her still sleepy limbs and gave a little jawn.
//So, I'm a vampire now? I don't feel any different. Shouldn't I be hungry, thinking of blood and mayhem?//
She felt her forehead, which was smooth. //No ridges. Maybe that's because he made me his childe and not just a fledgling, which is good//, but she should be able to change on command. Shouldn't she? She closed her eyes and concentrated. Wrinkling her forehead as much as she could. Nothing happened.
//Maybe if I think of something vampire related, like blood. Hot fresh human blood flowing into my mouth over my tongue, tasting rich and full, like life pouring down my throat.// She stopped and felt her forehead once again. No ridges.
//Oh. Maybe he didn't turn me; maybe he changed his mind and just drank until I lost conscience. Maybe he didn't want me.// At the last thought she sniffed a bit, and that just proved her right. A vampire shouldn't feel sorry for herself she should be out of the bed in an instance bloodthirsty looking for her first kill not huddling in a foetal position sniffing. Vampires don't sniff.
//He didn't want me//, not even enough to keep his promise and afterwards abandon her. He had just abandoned her.
It was at that moment that the bedroom door opened and Spike strode in, dragging an almost unconscious teenage girl behind him.
And that's when she knew. Because her first thought weren't 'oh god what have he done to her, I must help her' or even 'she looks scared', but //she smells delicious, is that really how fear smells, intoxicating//. And she knew than that it was all real, he had turned her, he had kept his promise, and she was now a vampire.
She also knew that her first kill were here.
