Tears of a PearlBy:Salice

 ~Part One~

Willow was at the Bronze with her friends. It had been 6 weeks since Spike had left her. She was still in pain, but had finally started eating. This was actually her first night out to the Bronze. She remembered Spike and her dancing.... and making out. Her eyes to glisten with tears, and Buffy touched her shoulder.

"You ok?" The slayer asked.

"I don't feel to well. I'm going home." She decided, grabbing her purse. As she headed to the park she felt something familiar, but quickly shook it off. It wasn't him. He was never coming back. Thinking about that brought tears. She collapsed to the ground, and trembled at the coldness she now felt. Soon she was wracking with sobs.

*****************

He was watching her sobbing, and his unbeating heart broke. He caused this. He almost wanted to leave. Almost. But he knew that he had to at least say he was sorry. Maybe she could love him. No. She couldn't. How could she?

Spike continued to watch her. After nearly half an hour, Willow had finally stopped crying, and got up. her mascara was running past her cheeks, she was so pale, but not in a good way. She was pale from not eating, and her body reflected that. She looked like a zombie. Even her eyes no longer held that magical fire.

******************

Willow got up and headed home, but halfway there, she stopped and headed towards her parents house. She entered and went into the kitchen, and stopped and she opened the fridge. It still had Spike's blood in it. *I won't cry.* she thought to herself. She headed outside of the kitchen and trudged upstairs to her old room. As she entered her breath caught again, staring around the room. She never took out the stuff in this room. It still had some of Spike's clothes, a vase of now dead roses. Tears started coming forth again, and this time, she let them, They spilled down her cheek. She walked quietly to her bed, and curled up into a ball at the head of the bed, going into another sleep full of nightmares.

Spike watched her outside on her balcony. As he looked around the room, he saw she still had everything there. Even the roses. *Why didn't she take them down?* he thought. He slowly and quietly walked to the french doors and opened them. Walking through, he went over to the red haired beauty and sat next to her. He saw her twisting and turning, and saw tears. He wanted to wake her, but was almost afraid at what she would do. He stroked her hair, and talked to her quietly.

At three a.m. he knew he had to go. As he was leaving, he went over to the dead red roses, and removed them, replacing them with a beautiful red one. Then he walked to the balcony, turned around and whispered.

"Sorry, Red." And walked out.

~Part Two~

Willow woke up and looked around the empty room, she saw the rose, and gasped. *What?* Willow got up, and went over to the vase containing the rose, and picked it up, marveling at it's beauty. She then left the room, questions flooding her mind.

*******************

That night Willow was walking through the park, questions that were in her mind this morning, were still there. She wanted answers. She couldn't believe he had come back, he had Drusilla. He chose, and the choice wasn't her. She felt so unwanted. Sure the group tried to make her feel better, etc, but it wasn't the same. She wrapped her arms around herself in a means of comfort, and continued her walk, not noticing the vampire coming up behind her.

The vampire grabbed her neck, and held it to the side, as his fangs came in contact with Willow's skin, all she could think about was Spike. The love that she still had, even after he did something that hurt her so bad. Tears streaked down her face. When she started to feel lightheaded, she then noticed she was covered in vamp dust. Willow turned around, prepared to thank Buffy, but was thrown into shock as she saw Spike, staring at her with a look of concern.

"Spike?" Willow asked.

"Willow, are you ok?" Spike asked, drawing nearer to her. As he got closer, Willow drew back, and Spike looked hurt.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you." He said, and then continued, "Drusilla knew you were on my mind, and she hates being second choice, so she took a walk through a very sunny park."

Willow just stared at him, disbelief painted on her face.

"And I wanted to say I'm sorry that I hurt you." He finished. Willow voice finally came back to her.

"I can't believe you." She whispered cruelly "You left me, and now you come back... and with the puppy eyes!" She said, her voice had risen considerably, staring right into his eyes. Spike didn't look away.

"Thanks for the rescue Spike. Although, I am kinda surprised you didn't let him kill me. You almost succeded last time, kinda surprised you didn't want this one to finish it all off." Willow said coldly. Willow turned around and walked away. Spike closed his eyes, and looked down. Pain coursed through him, he then went to walk to his apartment.

******************

Willow walked up to the collage dorms. She could hardly believe he was back. And besides the shock of him being back, she was pissed off. He had some fucking nerve to come back. He left her. Period. And then he comes back because Dru killed herself. *So he says, anyways.* she thought bitterly. She walked through the hall to her dorm room.

She entered the dorm room, and went over to her cd player and turned it on.

~ Well I'd like to take you as I find you
Imagine our clothes are on the floor
Feel my caress so soft and gentle
So delicate you cry for more
But you know baby
You know baby does it right
And you know baby does it right ~

Willow looked down at the cd player. Buffy must have switched cd's. *Just what I need Sappy love songs. Peachy.*

~ Universe inside of your heart
You gotta let me know
So you can be free baby
You wanted it so much,
and now that it's over
You don't know what you want ~

Willow walked over to the computer and opened a homework assignment. She listened to the music and typed away. trying to consentrate on the work.

~ Put time in a capsule
Two minds consensual
Entwined to perfection
If we could... ~

Willow scrunched up her nose. She didn't want to do homework right now. Right now she wanted to dance. She got up of the chair and started to sway to the music, getting completely lost in the music.

~ Cuddle up close
Lay on my chest now
Listen my heart beats coming down
If you get tired, you close your eyes now
When you wake up I won't be found
'Cause I know baby
I know you're the nervous kind
With so much going on in your mind ~

Willow moved her hips to the rhythm of the music, and her hands were raised above her head. She kept up this seductive dance for awhile, bewitching Spike, who was watching her from the window.

~ Universe inside of your heart
You gotta let me know
So you can be free baby
You wanted it so much,
and now that it's over
You don't know what you want ~

Willow had a smile of satisfaction on her face. She was facing away from the window, but she knew he was there. She had felt his damn presence since she entered the room. She figured she'd give him a sweet little something to show him what he let go of. She continued the dance.

~ But let me tell you that, this time,
I'm gonna make you mine
(I won't let you go)
'Cause I know, this time
I'm gonna make sure I look out for me ~

Willow closed her eyes, imagining dancing with Spike. She scolded herself. She wouldn't think about him. But then why did she not want to think of anything else. *I'm one sick puppy. Mmmhmm* She swished her hair and tried to let herself forget about the bleached vampire.

~ 'Cause you know baby
And you know baby does it right
You will only end up lost in loneliness
And wake up with the words already
on your lips
So I'll let you go, baby, oh baby
So I'll let you go... ~

Spike watched Willow in fascination. In all the while he knew her, she never danced. Not like that anyways. He stood, transfixed. He watched as she swished her hair and swayed her hips. Damn he wanted her.

~ Universe inside of your heart
You gotta let me know
So you can be free baby
You wanted it so much,
and now that it's over
You don't know what you want ~

Willow continued dancing til it ended. She then went over to the closet and changed, and then turned off the lights. She headed over to her bed and laid down, letting another night of dreams with Spike invade her mind.

~Part Three~

Willow crunched into her egg salad sandwich, thinking about last night. Or rather, about Spike. *I need a hobby* she thought. *I can't believe I danced like that last night* she blushed lightly, at her actions. *Though I do thank Cordy, for those dance lessons* getting up, and putting her dish in the sink, she walked out to her parents living, and sat on the carpet, her back against the couch.

*I need to just stop thinking about him*

*Yeah, like that'll happen* her conscious quipped.

*I'm not that hung up on him*

*Nice dream world you live in. To bad its full of lies. Jeez, anyone with eyes, and even a few without, can tell how much you want him*

*You are not helping me*

*Not my fault you live in denial city*

*I do not*

*Good comeback*

*Oh just shut up*

Willow grabbed Defiant Captive, and settled down to read it.

*You can't ignore me*

Willow growled, and threw the book down. Walking out of the house, she saw it was dark.

"Peachy" she mumbled.

********************

Buffy walked along th darkened streets, when she saw a figure watching a lone girl walking. Buffy looked closer, and saw that the vampire was Spike *He's got damned nerve, coming here* Buffy glanced at Willow *ex boyfriend stalker type. This should be fun* Buffy walked quietly towards Spike. When she stood right behind him, she finally spoke.

"If it isn't the asshole of all time." Buffy said, looking up at the bleached asshole, who hurt her best friend. Spike groaned and turned around looking at her. Before he could do anything, she hit him across the face.

"I can't believe you came back. You loved her, left her, hurt her, and now you're stalking her. is there anything you don't do?" She swung her leg out, and hit him in the lower stomach.

"Watch where you're hitting!" He growled. As he couldn't fight, he tried to block all her moves.

"Why don't you just leave. Go away. Go far far away. Leave my best friend alone, asshole." Buffy was seathing in anger. Spike stood up straight, and looked her in the eye.

"I'm not leaving."

"I was kinda hoping you'd say that." She punched him across the face, then kicked him. straight in the crotch. Spike fell to the ground in pain.

"That was low." he mumbled.

"You deserved it."

"I deserve death, to be quite honest. I hurt her."

"No shit sherlock. Hey, if you want to die, I'll gladly help you out there."

"I'll take a raincheck."

"Awe. I'm hurt now." Spike just rolled his eyes.

"Spike. Leave. Her. Alone. You've been warned. I would really hate for Willow to be in more pain. She's suffered enough." Buffy turned and walked away. Spike moved near the bushes, brushing up against them.

**********************

Walking through the park, she saw a vacant bench, and sat down. She heard some leaves russle, and looked towards some tree's. Nothing was there *Just chill. you have your... oh crap.* She hadn't packed any supplies *I'm such an idiot*

*Not disagreeing with you there.*

*shut up*

Willow got up, and started walking towards her house. hearing footsteps behind her, she started walking faster, then broke out into a run. Running up the steps, towards her house, she reached into her pocket for her keys. scratching the doorknob, trying to get the key in, she heard the footsteps get louder and louder. Her hands were shaking, and she couldn't get the key into the lock. *ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod* The footsteps were now on the steps, leading up to her house. She finally slid the key into the lock, and turned the key, unlocking the door. Looking behind her, she screamed, for about a second, then stopped.

"Cor, luv. Would you keep it down."

"Spike?" She asked.

"Hello Pet"

"You're doing wonderful at this, ex boyfriend stalker thing." Spike just looked at, not saying a word. Willow walked into the house, and turned to him.

"You could have said something, let me know it was you, instead of scaring me to hell and back"

"Sorry, luv." Willow breathed in and out heavily.

"Want to come in? Since I doubt you're hear for no reason, might as well talk." Spike nodded, and walked into the house, into the living room, and sat down.

"So, what did you want to say?" She asked, sitting across him, on the couch.

"That I'm sorry." Willow bowed her head.

"How do I know you're telling me the truth? You could just be lying, Dru might still be alive, down in South America, waiting for you."

"Pet, I am telling you the truth."

"Fine. Then I want the truth right now. Why did you choose her?" She looked up at him, her eyes brimming with tears.

Spike closed his eyes. She had to ask this question.

"I don't know."

"Bullshit. I want the truth, damnit."

"When she came to the park, I was in shock. And she said she was waiting for me, it reminded me of old times, and I got lost in memories. Once we got into the car, it all hit me."

"You could have gotten out of the car."

"I didn't think you'd want to look at me."

"I admit, it would have meant a lot of red roses, I'm sorry's, and all that, but only for about a month. Instead, you left me alone."

"Pet, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."

"You did, anyways." Spike got off the couch, and knelt on his knee's.

"I'm sorry Luv. I don't know what else to say. I hurt you, I know that. I want to kill myself for it."

"Then why don't you?"

"Because I don't have the guts."

"Call up Buffy, I'm sure she'd help you out." Spike groaned.

"More than you know." he mumbled. he stood, and then sat down on the couch. "Pet, I am sorry."

"It still hurts." She confessed.

"I know. And I wish it didn't." He put his hand into his pocket, and pulled out a ruffeled looking rose.

"Sorry." Willow took the rose, and looked at it.

"Still my favorite." She whispered. Tears came to her eyes.

"Willow, I'm sorry." Spike said, yet again. He felt like shit, hurting her this way. "I was gonna be stalker you called me, and left this on your doorstep or something, but here." He handed her a black velvet box. Willow opened it, and gasped.

"A gold locket." she whispered.

"Look inside." Willow undid the clasp, and looked inside. A small picture of a house with Willow in front of it was there.

"This was from our trip, to the beach." She said.

"Yeah, I found the picture in my apartment." He whispered. He stood up, and looked down at her.

"I am, truly sorry Pet." He said. "I'd better go." Willow walked him to the door, as Spike walked outside, he looked at her.

"Pet, I'm sorry. Please baby, take me back," he whispered. tears coursed down willow's cheek's. She closed the door.

"Baby." Spike said. Willow stood on the other side of the door, trying not to break down.

"Pet, I'm sorry." Spike pleaded.

"Baby, please." Willow was tempted to open the door, and hold him tight.

"Take me back, please." Spike persisted. Willow took a deep breath, and opened the door.

"You hurt me."

"I know, baby." Willow slammed the door, yet again. Spike sighed.

"Willow, please." Willow bit her lip.

"Willow, I'm sorry. Red, please." Willow cracked the door open.

"Say it again." She whispered.

"I'm sorry."

Willow slammed the door again.

"Pet, Red, Baby, Luv, Willow, please open the door." Willow did open the door, and looked at him. Her eyes were red, and her face streaked from tears.

"Baby, is there anything I can do, to tell you I'm sorry, and for you to believe me."

"There is one thing. But it might hurt me to much."

"What is it?" Spike cocked his head to his side, his eyes wondering. Willow looked down at her hands.

"A kiss," she murmured, "a kiss that could tell, you are really sorry." Tears coursed down her flaming red cheeks. She started to go back into the safety of the house.

"Pet..." Spike looked at her. Willow turned to look at him, her lips wet from tears hitting her mouth. Spike touched her cheek, and she leaned into it, then coming to thought, moved her head back. Spike grabbed her other cheek, her head cradled in his hands. He slowly bent down towards her.

And his lips touched hers.

~Part Four~

Willow was in shock. She didn't really think he would kiss her. Hell, she shouldn't have even said it, but he always seemed to make her cave on anything, but she didn't mind, when it all boiled down. Willow felt like she was in heaven, she was reminded of the old days. His tongue swept through her mouth, and she moaned.

*Oh, yeah. You don't like him. Jeez. This is why I never listen to you.*

*Go away.* Willow went back to the paradise she was feeling. Coming to her senses a bit, she stopped kissing him, and backed away. Willow pursed her lips.

"That was..." She paused.

"I'd go with amazing, but thats just me." Spike said. Willow blushed, and nodded quickly. "I take it I'm still not forgiven."

"No way in hell." She smiled.

"Is there a chance?" he asked.

"Oh, a very very big chance, but you'll have to be prepared to buy a lot of roses, and say your sorry at least 30 times a day." She said.

"I think I can deal with that." His hand held the side of her face. Willow smiled, and her face cradled against his hand. Willow stepped back.

"Want to come in?" She asked.

"Thought you'd never ask." He smiled. He walked into the house again, and he started to walk into the living room. Willow passed the living room and started walking up the stairs. Spike looked at her, his eyebrow raised.

"What? I'm going upstairs. I'm tired." She said. She walked up the rest of the stairs, into her room. Spike walked towards the stairs, and started following her.

When he reached her room, she was changing into a nightshirt.

"You still look gorgeous." He whispered. Willow blushed, and pulled the shirt on. Walking over to the bed she climbed in.

"You try anything, and I'll deck ya." She said. Spike nodded and walked towards the bed. Sitting at the end of the bed, he stared at her.

"What?" She asked.

"Just looking." He said, innocently.

"Yeah." She rolled her eyes, and laid down, and closed her eyes. She felt the bed shift, as Spike moved up the bed. He laid down next to her, and Willow turned over, looking at her.

"I have a question." He asked.

"Yes?" She asked, her eyebrows raised.

"Where did you learn to dance like that?" He asked. Willow laughed.

"For me to know, and you to find out." She smirked.

"I love you." He said, quietly. Willow breathed in and closed her eyes.

"I-I love you." She whispered so quietly, he almost didn't hear her. Spike kissed her softly on the forehead.

"Go to sleep baby." He said. Willow closed her eyes and fell asleep almost instantly. Spike moved toward Willow, holding her. Unconsciously her body leaned into him. Spike smiled softly, and closed his eyes. He knew it would take him awhile to win her back, but he would get her back. He loved her to much.

The End
