~Part One~ Just to Know Her
/You Know I Don't know what it is/
/But something about you is so irresistible/
Looking up and away from the books that lay in front of her, Willow looked straight ahead. Spike sat, at the other end of the room, sifting through some book, some new demon was in town, and whipped Buffy's butt. So research. *What fun.* Willow thought dryly. staring back at the book blankly, the words all smeared together, as her brain drifted to another subject.
She had been thinking about Spike ever since he had kidnapped her. Finally admitting last year, that she liked him. After he had started helping, she hadn't been able to keep her mind off of him. He kept haunting her thoughts, disrupting her world. Slowly, as her mind crashed away from the thoughts, she started to listen to what the group was talking about.
"Giles, I just wasn't prepared. I can take him down, ya know." The slayer said irritably. Willow shook her head to herself, and looked ahead. Spike sat there, staring at her. Blushing, she turned to look at her friends, her mind focusing on their words, and not the burning into her skin she felt overtime Spike looked at her.
"Buffy, I would prefer if we knew more about this demon." Giles said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Uh, guys." Willow interrupted. Giles turned to look at the red headed
hacker. "I'm kinda tired, so I'm just going home." She lied, wanting to
get
out of there before a migraine hit her.
"All right Willow, but I want someone to walk you." Giles immediately rounded on Spike, and Willow shook her head, and walked towards the door, grabbing her jacket. Not waiting for the vampire, she walked outside, and immediately headed for home.
**********
"Well, hello little girl." A voice said behind Willow.
"I'm so tired of that line." Willow muttered. She went to grab her cross
quickly, but the vampire grabbed her arm, and held it in place to keep
her
hands from grabbing any holy water or cross. The vampires mouth came
nearer to her neck, and Willow scrunched her eyes closed, waiting for the
searing pain of a vampire bite. It never came. She felt herself being covered
in vampire dust. Opening her eyes, she peered at the person who saved her.
"Hello luv." Spike drawled.
"Oh ... hi Spike..." Willow mumbled.
"Why didn't you wait for me?" He asked. Willow shrugged at his words, and started to walk away.
"Just wanted to get home." She answered truthfully. Spike fell into step with Willow, the two walking side by side to her house.
When they finally reached the front door, Willow turned to him.
"Well, thanks for the rescue, and walking me home..... you wanna come in?" She asked.
"Why not pet?" He asked, a small smirk set on his face. She gave him a small smile, before going to fetch the keys from her pocket and unlocked the door.
"Come in." She said, looking at Spike. Spike smiled and walked into the house.
"Nice digs, luv." He said, looking around the house.
"Thanks." She said, closing the door. She started to walk past the vampire, and headed into the living room. Spike soon followed, and sat opposite of her.
"What's this picture from?" Spike asked, looking at the picture on the coffee table. It was a picture of Buffy, Xander, Willow, and Jesse, before Jesse had been turned. Willow glanced at the photo and started to tell him the story of the photo, and of Jesse. Her childhood was laid out to Spike, starting to know everything about the little witch's past, about her, Xander, and Jesse.
************
"So that's how it was when we were younger. It was just us three, when we started our freshman year, we were inseparable. And then we met Buffy, in our Sophomore year." Willow said. "Jesse got taken by vamps, and he was turned, Xander killed him by the next night. And that started the slaying." Willow finished, finally concluding her story. She glanced over at her clock, and blinked. "It's 4:42." She said. "I gotta get to bed."
"All right luv..." Spike trailed. Willow stood, and the two walked to the door. "Want me to stop by tomorrow?" Spike asked. Willow smiled at his words.
"That'd be nice." She said. Spike smiled down at her, and then turned
to leave, heading into the darkness.
~Part Two~ Golden Spiders
/Don't you try to tell me that he's not my type/
/To hide what I feel inside /
/When he makes me weak with desire/
/I know that I'm supposed to make him wait/
/Let him think I like the chase/
/But I can't stop fanning the fire/
/I know I meant to say no/
"Again?" Buffy asked, spearing a piece of lettuce with her fork.
"Yeah...." Willow said, grabbing her bag.
"Why? It's not like he's that interesting," Xander asked, taking a sip of his coke.
"He's my friend." Willow defended.
"He's a vampire, Wills." The slayer said.
"I know the drill." Willow grumbled.
"You sure? Cause if you really did, you wouldn't be hanging out with him." Buffy pressed.
"I can not believe this. Guys, it's not that big a deal. Now, I'll see ya later." Willow turned on her heel and walked out of Giles's place.
***********
Willow walked towards her house, a smile on her face. She was so lost in thought she didn't notice anything or anyone. Willow stood there, thinking about the two weeks. She and Spike had become the best of friends, hanging out practically every night. Her mind still on the subject of Spike, she didn't notice anyone walk up to her.
"Lost in thought, again?" Said a sarcastic voice. Willow smiled, and looked at her friend.
"Hey Anya. And yes, I was. Why?" Willow asked the ex-demon.
"Nothing, that just seems to happen to you a lot lately. Another night with the undead hottie, huh?" Anya asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Yes, another night with Spike," Willow grinned.
"Whats on the agenda tonight?" The ex-demon asked.
"Nero Wolfe. It's on tonight, and I want peroxide job to see it," The red headed witch smiled, as she stared up at the sky.
"Alright, well I gotta go meet Xander." Anya grinned.
"You two are horrible." Willow smiled.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Later witch," The ex-demon walked off, to meet her boyfriend, and Willow walked up to her house.
************
"Luv, what are we watching tonight?" Spike asked, sitting down on the only recliner.
"One you haven't seen. Called Nero Wolfe." Willow grinned, taking a sip of her strawberry soda.
"Never heard of it." Spike said.
"It's a show on A&E. This is the first ep, Golden Spiders. Now watch." Willow demanded, sinking back into the comfiness of the comfy beige leather couch. "Ooh! Archie! He's my favorite character." Willow giggled, watching the screen. Spike continued watching the show, hearing Willow's small laughs every once in awhile.
After the second commercial break, Spike turned to Willow.
"Who do you think the murderer is?" Spike asked.
"Spike, I've already seen this." Willow grinned.
"Who's the murderer?" Spike asked, a smirk falling across his face.
"Not telling." She shot back.
"Oh, thats not fair."
"Well see, I would tell you, but that takes away all the fun." Willow smiled.
"Fine. Brat." Spike settled back into his seat, not looking at the red head. A frown briefly flashed across her face, but it quickly faded, and she laid down on the couch.
************
"That's the murderer!" Spike exclaimed, as he saw who they revealed the murderer to be.
"Yep." Willow grinned.
"You must be joking."
"No, I'm not. Neither are they." Willow smiled.
"I like that Fritz fellow." Spike said, looking at Willow.
"Gotta love Fritz. His dishes must be so yummy. And Archie, ah! I love Archie, same goes for Saul, he's so adorable." Willow giggled.
"What's so great about those two?" Spike frowned.
"Well, Archie's just handsome. And Saul, he's adorable! And my favorite character... see, they bring the actors back every week, but anyways, my favorite is this one blond. She's been a murderer, murdered, a star, a dancer. The girls done it all."
"Obsessed woman. It's just a show."
"You're obsessed with Oprah." Willow pointed out, grinning.
"Hey, I'll have you know that's a good show. Dr. Phil's interesting." Spike defended. Willow laughed, but it immediatly died when Spike got a preditory look in his eyes.
"S-Spike..." Willow said, scrambling off the couch and backing away slowly.
"You're gonna pay for that laugh, missy." Spike smiled.
*Oh, I hope so.* Willow thought. She suddenly blinked at her thoughts, but shook her head and came back to reality. She saw Spike coming closer, and she darted off towards the kitchen. Spike followed her, and when he entered the kitchen he immediatly yelled, as he felt something hit his stomach.
"Bloody hell woman!" Spike exclaimed, looking down at his shirt. She had gotten him right on the abs, with chocolate sauce. "This is a new shirt." He pouted.
"How can you tell?" Willow laughed. Spike growled, and came towards her menacingly. She started to run for the exit, but he grabbed her hips, holding her to him. He saw she still had the chocolate sauce in her hand, and grabbed it.
The cold chocolate oozed out of the container, and hit Willow on her shirt.
"Ah! Spike!" Willow screamed, trying to get free. Spike let her go, and she scrambled away from him, and fell to the ground. Willow heard Spike's laughter, and her eyes blazed with fire. Turning to look up at him, the fire in her eyes died, and a smile crept across her face. Soon, she joined in his laughter, as she saw she had not only gotten the chocolate sauce on his shirt, but on his arms, and some on his jeans.
"You look a mess." Willow laughed. Spike frowned at her, but it quickly disappeared.
"Like you look that great." He quipped. From falling to the ground, the chocolate sauce had smeared all over her shirt, and there was some in her hair.
"Damn vamp." She grabbed the bottle from him, and put it back into the kitchen.
"Shower." Spike croaked out, laughter still in his eyes.
"Yeah, that might help things." She smiled. She headed up the stairs, Spike right behind her. She grabbed some towels. "Here's a towel. Go take off any clothes that need to be washed, and I'll wash them for ya." Willow said. Spike nodded, and went into the bathroom, taking off his shirt and pants.
"Here ya go, luv." Spike said, he opened the door, and he stood there with a towel wrapped around his waist, his clothes held out for her, in his hand. Willow's face turned crimson, but she grabbed the clothes, and turned and started down the hallway when she heard the shower start. A flash of Spike naked in the shower danced through Willow's head, as she started down the stairs.
*What are you doing? He's your friend!* Willow thundered to herself. Walking down into the laundry room, she put his clothes into the wash, and peeled off her clothes, until she was down to her panties and bra. Putting her clothes into the wash, she closed the lid starting up the machine.
*************
Spike got out of the shower, and dried off. Pulling on his boxers, he heard a knock at the door.
"Didn't use all the hot water, did you?" Willow teased.
"Yeah, just to make you mad." Spike smiled, opening the door. He saw Willow in a small tank and boy shorts. He bit back a groan when he saw how the clothes clung to her.
Willow bit her lips, when she saw his chest. *Like marble.* She thought. She blinked, and looked up at him, unaware of the lust dancing in her eyes.
"My turn." She grinned. Spike moved past her, and started down for the living room. Willow hurried into the bathroom, to take her shower.
