Things Change
By:Salice and Diana C.

 ~Part One~

Willow’s parents dropped her off at her apartment. She had moved out of the dorm after her first year. She decided to walk around Sunnydale, see what's changed. She started for the park. When she got there, she decided to sit and wait. Almost a second later, a vampire came, simply passing her as weak *how original* she thought.

Willow looked up from her seat as the vampire started approaching her, simply smiling cockily at her, thinking that he had got on easy meal. * Not quite fang-face * she thought to herself, an evil smile forming on her face.

She got to her feet slowly she opened her mouth as she cleared the bench. Placing herself in front of her enemy she said sarcastically, “Looking for a snack big guy?” the vampire looked at her in surprise, totally being taken by surprise he lunged at her but she quickly sidestepped it. “I don’t think so.” She mocked him as she swiftly kicked him in the hip with her left leg. Than quickly backfisted the vamp and side swept his leg and than swept him again with her right foot to his left side and again backfisted him with her right hand of his right side of his face as she had expertly flipped him.

Quickly she used her mind and took a stake out of her bag, floating it to her. Before the vampire could even register what she was doing she had plunged the stake downward getting up as he faded into dust. “What can I say.” She said cockily, “You win some you lose some… sorry but I won this round.” Yet again walking she looked around the disserted streets and sighed pulling her leather jacket closer to her cold body, “Bored now.” She muttered pouting. * I think I’ll go visit the gang see what there doing. *

Buffy was waiting restlessly at Giles place. "Willow said she would be home tonight." the slayer muttered. Anya looked up from the demon book she was reading, "She'll be here. She called you when she got off the plane. You do have to give her time to unpack." She said sighing. "I don't get why everyones in a funk." She said. Buffy just eyed her, shooting daggers. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Giles came out of the kitchen, and went to answer it.

"Willow, how was Japan?" Giles asked, opening the door wider, giving Willow entry into the apartment.

"It was cool, went sightseeing, and stuff." Willow said, not daring to tell them about certain events. "So what happened around here?" Willow asked, eyeing the demon books.

"Some new demon... blah, blah, blah." Buffy answered. Buffy went up to hug her friend, Willow hugged her back, thought not for long. Willow let go of her friend, and went to the books.

"What type of demon?" Willow asked. Giles turned to her.

"A Machromal demon. A very strong, but they can sense when someone has to much power for them, and then they flee, not wanting to fight whatever is strong. You can tell when they are going to run, when their eyes turn silver." He said sipping his tea.

"Well that should be simple." Willow said. "Where is it? We can head out, and then it can run."

"It's not that simple Willow..." Giles started. But Willow stopped him.

"Giles? Where is the Demon?" Giles sighed at her questioning.

"He's at the docks, staying in some warehouse. But if he does wants to fight, then you all should go." Giles said, giving Buffy and Willow a stern look.

"Alright, well lets go." Willow said. She knew the demon would run, she had run into the same species of demon, and it ran. The group gave each other confused glances, but followed her out.

Willow, Buffy, Xander, and Riley were at the docks. Willow could sense the demon, and started to lead the group towards an abandoned warehouse that was close by. They stepped inside, and Buffy turned around. There in front of her was the Machromal demon. He was tall, about 8 foot, blue with green slime everywhere, and he had bright red eyes. The demon's eyes suddenly turned silver, and his mouth opened. He then ran from the warehouse, into the water, where they usually live.

"Well that was easy." Buffy said with a grin.

"Guess he knew you had enough powers to kill him and ten times worse." Riley said.

"Should we head to the Bronze?" Xander asked, smiling.

"Yeah, I say we party." Buffy replied, still grinning. Everyone headed towards the Bronze, but Willow kept a secret smile. The demon also has another trait, they send messages to your head. He was talking to her, and she almost laughed when he said that the Slayer didn't give much power. And with that she headed towards the Bronze, knowing who really scared the demon.

~Part Two~

Willow woke up early the next morning; she had left the Bronze early last night. She did not know what the gang saw in that place. It had no feel, and no groove. It really wasn’t fun. Willow smiled to herself, now she knew what fun was.

*Flashback*

Willow danced in time with the beat, hips moving, bodies pressing together. She felt wild and free, waving her hands up above her head to the pulsing beats. Here she could cut lose and be who she really was. No attachments, no heartache, and no who you’re suppose to be. She rolled her head around with her hips; pressing up against whoever was beside her. She loved getting lost in the crowd, going wild. Her friends would be shocked, but she didn’t care, cause this was her time and her time only, no one else’s. Swaying from side to side she started grinding with one of the people… tossing her head back and getting lost in the music. Bright lights flashed everywhere, you could hardly see, it was amazing.

Willow laughed as she rocked to the beat she felt hands go around her waste, “Wanna have a good time?” she cocked her head to the side and took in the guys appearance, he was good-looking she noted. She turned around grinding their bodies together. And whispered in his ear and she seductively moved against him. “Sure.” Before he pulled her head up and crushed his lips for a passionate kiss, tongues molding and passions blazing. She pulled away, breaking the kiss.

“Be right back.” She mouthed as she walked through the crowd to the bar. “Here you go Red.” Her friend Charity said from her seat handing another shot of vodka to Willow. Willow downed it without hesitation, “So I’m gonna get out of here for awhile…” she said.

“I’ve noticed.” Charity smiled nodding at the handsome man on the dance floor. “By the way I like the outfit, a little more conservative the last but I like.” She noted.

Willow looked down at her black belly-shirt that had the words written in shiny, glittery silver “Tease” and than nodded her skintight black vinyl pants.

“Thanks.” Willow mumbled. “I’ll meet the rest of the gang by one tonight k?”

“Can’t do anything without you, the high priestess would have a fit.” Charity replied.

“Cool, Later.”

“Have fun.” Her friend replied.

*End of Flashback*

Now that is fun. * Willow thought happily.

******************

Spike was still sat in amazement. He was at the club not 4 hours ago. He saw Red. But it wasn't. She was wearing black tight pants, and a small shirt, that barely covered her stomach. Not that he disapproved. He smiled as he remembered her, dancing to the erotic beat. Then he remembered that guy, she was dancing with. He growled when he thought of him. Some sleazy guy, he had looks, but still sleazy. He just wanted to get her in bed. Same as Spike. *But it's different with Red. And me* He thought. He headed out to her apartment. Wanting answers as to what happened in Japan.

******************

Around 12:35 pm Willow went to her dresser and picked up her dragon necklace she had gotten from the Dark Night Coven. It was a dragon, wrapped in between, and around a pentagram. She unclasped it, and slipped it around her neck. She looked at herself in the mirror. She had on a simple black dress that reached her ankles; it had a gothic-old look to it, which Willow loved. She went to the door, and grabbed her blood red cloak.

As she walked out of the apartment, and put the cloak on, she looked around. She could feel someone watching her. *Spike? Why the heck is he here?* She wondered. She knew it was Spike; he had something about him that came off in waves. She set off towards the outer brinks of the woods, knowing he would follow, but didn't mind. Spike came up to Willow's apartment right as she was leaving. She was wearing a black dress, that was like second skin *Damn woman* and a dark green cloak, which went beautiful with her red hair. He started to follow her, and when she got to the woods, he stopped. *The woods? What the hell for?* He questioned himself.

Curiosity overcame himself and he started to follow her. About 5 minutes later Spike felt more humans. He saw Willow stop, and stopped himself. He went to a tree and stood behind it, but still being able to see the red headed witch. Willow went up to the High Priestess.

"Who is that? Who was following you Willow?" She asked.

"His name is Spike. He will not cause harm, I promise you." She said.

"I will not question your certainty, so let us begin." The High then went over to the High Priest, and told him what Willow has told her.

"You were right Duvessa. And I wouldn't question Willow. She is very strong, and is not known to make mistakes as this." the High Priest said.

"Alright then Donegal, shall we begin?" Duvessa asked.

"Yes." He replied. The High Priest went forward to the middle of the people surrounding him.

"Let us begin." He said. He went to a man, who was wearing a blood red cloak, same as Willow, and nodded at him. The man went off and not long later, he returned with a large cauldron, which was full of liquid. Willow stepped up to the High Priest, Donegal, and slipped her finger in the cauldron, removed it, and put her finger to lips, tasting the blood.

"The blood of a Vorduch?" She questioned, "they are rather powerful, don't you think?"

"You can kill it easy." Donegal said sounding rather like a serpent.

"Thank you. And it _will_ be killed" She promised.

"Good. And here is the knife that will kill it." He said, withdrawing a dagger that had serpents decorated on the handle.

"Again, thank you." She said, before drawing away from him, and towards the crowd.

"Hey." Charity said.

"Hi." Willow replied, still watching the cauldron, Priest, and keeping an eye on Duvessa.

"I take it Duvessa does not know?" Charity asked with a grin.

"To coin a popular Sunnydale phrase, duh." Willow said. Charity had to cover her mouth, to keep from laughing
.

"The dress looks good. Perfect for your first night as High Priestess." Charity complimented.

"Well, I wanted something pretty. Duvessa thinks this dress is for her." she said, almost laughing. Willow suddenly stopped, and diverted her attention towards the High Priest and Priestess, who was right by him. The Priest went over to the cauldron and added some herbs to the cauldron.

Donegal motioned to Duvessa and Willow to come forward. They came up to the Donegal, and stood by him. Donegal took out a chalice and filled it with the potion.

"Drink Duvessa." He commanded gently. He then started to chant some Latin words.

"Qui silienti adipiscor nundinac Duvessa paulisper Vorduch." Donegal said.

Duvessa looked up at Donegal in shock, and dropped the chalice. Though she knew now it was to late.

"Donegal!" she shrieked. Suddenly a portal opened, and a demon started to fall. Duvessa could feel her life slipping. "Angelus!" She whispered quickly, her eyes going wide. Willow smiled.

"Don't worry. Angelus will just fine." She whispered to her. Duvessa's eyes widened yet more, and then her eyes started to bleed, Duvessa slumped over, and was finally dead. When Willow looked up, she could see that demon was now in their world.

*Why kill it, when I can dominate it?* She thought. She stepped forward to the demon, and slashed all it's fingers off, in one clean movement. She gave him a sidekick, and he fell over.

"Chain him." She commanded to some men close by. She turned and looked at Donegal, who looked surprised.

"You aren't going to kill him?" He asked.

"Why kill, when you can dominate?" She asked, with an evil grin. He returned that smile.

"But can you?" He asked.

"Yes. For this demon anyway. Wouldn't recommend with others, this one is easy to overpower, and simple spells can work wonders." She said, still grinning.

"Everyone!" He said to the crowd. "This demon will now be with us. Do not fear him, he is harmless. Our new High Priestess, Willow, will be performing a simple spell, and he shall be of great use to us." He finished. The people just smiled evilly, and bowed their heads in respect and fear.

"Everyone, we are done for tonight! Everyone but the High Priestess and Charity may go." He said, eyeing Charity. She looked at him with a mix of question, and fear. He saw the fear in her eyes, and smiled.

"I hear she is a friend. That why I suggested she stay,” He said, answering Willow's questioned eyes. "Tomorrow you and I will meet. We need to speak with Angelus. That is all." He said, turning away from Willow, and walking off.

"Idiot." She mumbled. But she will soon take care of him...

"Charity lets go!" Willow said, heading towards her friend.

"What was that." She started.

"Oh, just meeting with Angelus." She answered.

"Was Duvess really his hold?" She asked.

"Yes. She said his name. It proved it. But I have a small spell on him right now, to keep him sustained in LA. But he cannot harm Cordelia. She is in this plan." Willow said.

"What about the Priest? I know you are not fond of him." She said.

"I will find a replacement. And until, I'll just put up with the asshole." Willow replied.

"Well I better get home. And good plan, but I want more details soon!" she said.

"You will know all. Call me tomorrow, around 6. I'll be home all evening." She said, towards the end of her sentence, she spoke a little more loudly, being sure for Spike to hear.

"See ya Red." She said. Willow smiled. She loved that nickname. Spike called her that, and Spike will soon be with Willow *He HAS to be. I will not settle for less.* She decided. She started for home.

~Part Three~

Willow looked on in dismay as she continued to research for the Scooby gang. *Out of all the things I could be doing.* she huffed. Though of coarse if she wanted to make them believe she was still there “Willow” than she didn’t mind, after all who could blame sweet, innocent Willow?

“She wouldn’t hurt a fly.” She mimicked in the slayers high-pitched voice. She looked at Buffy toss her hair and neglected her own slayer duties to flirt with the new guy Graham. *Poor Riley* she thought smirking.

She mentally chuckled to herself as she thought of maybe leading Riley astray to the dark side. Deciding against the idea, she just couldn’t to that to “poor Riley”. Oh well, she looked around the group and decided who would be spared for her master plans. She smiled as Spike who was scowling at the Slayer obvious attempts at flirtation with him. Willow’s eyes narrowed on Buffy, *Oh no not with him… keep your dirty paws away from him*

Willow went back to her research, or at least trying to, if only she wasn’t silently wanting to tear off heads in jealousy over the failing seduction of Spike by Buff. She took a slow calming breath and exhaled pausing as she heard another annoying interruption, this time from Xander complaining about there being a lack shortage of donuts. *Some things never change* she thought to herself as she rolled her eyes heavenward.

Unable to get back to her research Willow gently chewed on her pen. Her thoughts straying to her plans for tonight, “Annoying priest.” She muttered. *Defiantly needs to go, maybe I’ll have the demon kill him, tear him limb from limb* she giggled at the picture of the high stubborn priest screaming out in pain as he was slowly tortured to death. *Now for Angelus… hmmm what should happen with him?* she smiled evilly to herself, a plan already forming in her mind. Angelus was going to be in for a shock; after all he only did know the shy, meek, mousy little redheaded hacker. Willow pouted at the image she had portrayed to others, that people had thought she was. She made a face disgusted by those memories.

“Giles I’m going to head out, maybe do some Bronzing, k?” Buffy’s voice stabbed through her thoughts like a sharp blade, the Willow couldn’t help but cringe inwardly.

“Buffy we are researching a demon we really could use your help.” Giles protested calmly.

“But isn’t that what your for? I mean… come on I fight the baddies… don’t I need a break everyone and a while?” she whined.

Giles looked like he was about to reply when she interrupted him and grabbed both Graham and Riley’s hands and rushed out with them trailing a long behind her yelling, “Thanks Giles!”

Willow couldn’t help but let her true self come out momentarily, “And what Buffy wants she gets.” She retorted acidly well glaring hatefully at the door, she didn’t really care if anyone was paying attention. *How rude* the others glanced at her in shock as she continued in a high pitch like slayer voice, “Because I’m the chosen one… and what I want goes.” She paused and muttered silently, “So says the leader, Oh Queen Buffy.”

She stopped and closed her eyes and clenched her jaw shut, she mentally scolded herself. She looked at the clock it was four till 6 and she gasped out loud for having have forgotten something so important.

“I’m guys I hate to be rude, but may I please pack it in tonight?” Willow asked thoughtfully. Unlike Buffy she did have manners and did respect Giles.

“Why..uh, thank you for your help Willow, we’ll call you if we need anything.” Giles replied. Willow smiled a genuinely not faked smile and replied, “Thanks”

Getting her stuff from under her work area over by Giles kitchen she stuffed her bag with her paper work. Swinging it over her shoulder she nodded in the direction of Xander and Anya, and was off but not before stopping by the door and turning around. Directly she met Spike’s eyes, she smiled evilly and with that she was gone.

********************

Willow finished putting the finishing touches; she could feel Angelus entering the Sunnydale limits. she thought smiling secretly to herself. her mind turned to Spike. The thought of him made and smile and made her heart ache in longing, unlike the rest of herself which had changed, her heart had always managed to stay devoted and loving fully and part of it belonged to Spike. When she was with Spike she always scolded herself for blushing the occasional, or saying such things as “your stupid to think he would like you” or even babble. Though she liked that, she had to smile. She could honestly say Spike had all her pure and true emotions, and that he held her girlie innocence in the palm of his hands.

*Angelus* she turned her mind off as well as emotions to him, she didn’t want to think of that right now. Finishing the last of her curls that flowed to her shoulders, she ruffled it up making her look like she had just been passionately kissed and that was very mischievous.

She threw on her black leather jacket and looked herself over. She had on a black and silver baby tee and leather pants. She was going for the bad girl appearance, her lips were painted a copper color and her eyes of course were outlined with black pencil, etc. The usual bad girl make-up you could say. And Willow pulled it off marvelously, she wondered if Spike was going to follow her again. She could not feel him, at least not yet. She pouted, picking up her silver snake dagger she hid it in her leather boots.

“Ready for the party to begin?” she asked her reflection. Her reflections only reply was a loop-sided smirk.

*******************

Willow started to walk, when she felt that Angelus was within the city limits. She could feel him going towards the old mansion *Guess to go dowm memory lane* She thought. She let her mind drift back to last night. That damned Priest, Donegal, he was a pain. She actually felt a little bad for killing Duvessa, she was really cool. But Donegal was going to kill her anyway,it was her choice, if she wanted to take the High Priestess postion. As she neared the mansion, she saw his car. She decided to call Cordy tomorrow, she would be apart of this. She rather liked Delia. *Delia? I like that. But how will she fit in? She fights evil, I'm evil... sorta. Turning her would make her a good fighter, though making her a vampire would mean I would have to make someone be the sire. No, she shall stay human, I will just teach her to be a witch, and to help me.* Willow decided. She was at the mansion *show time.* She thought. she headed to the back door, and opened it quietly. She reached the back garden, and saw Angelus. He immediatly turned around, she knew he could feel her heart. He smirked at her.

"Not to smart Willow." He said, cockily.

"Hey Angelus. Congrats, you're back. I've been waiting a long time for this." Willow said.

"What?" He asked. You could see the confusion on his face.

"Who do you think helped bring you back? Some damn drug? Yeah, I heard about your last Angelus faze. Good thing you didn't kill Cordy, she's gonna be apart of this." Willow said. "Oh, and call me either Red or Will's. Willow sounds like how I used to be."

"Alright, Willow." He said.

"Whatever. So, you aren't trying to kill me. Do you want to help me, and let me exlpain, or try to kill me?" She asked. Getting straight to the point.

"You are strong, I wouldn't kill you. Turn you, yes. But you seem alright human. Tell me your plan, and I'll decide if you should die. Then I wanna visit the traitor, Spike." Angelus sneered.

"You harm Spike, and I kill you. Simple as that. Now lets get the plan out." Will's said.

"Fine, I won't touch a hair on his chinny chin chin. Now whats your plan?" He asked, a devious smile started to appear.

"It's like this...." Willow started to explain her plan to Angelus, when she was done, he agreed to help her. She told him of how Spike and Cordy would be in on the plan, he smiled. He liked Cordy, and planned on turning her, after a few games of course. Willow said no games were to happen. She didn't want Cordy loony. She wanted a fighter, and a friend, not a Drusilla. She didn't want to buy dolls and join damned tea parties.

*******************

Willow was walking home when she felt Spike. She didn't feel him at the mansion, and was wondering where she was. *I'll have to explain the plan again, won't I?* She thought.

"Spike? Stop being stealthy, and get your cute ass out here." She demanded.

"Cute ass? Well you got one part right." He said. They walked in silence up to her door.

"Come in blondie." She said.

"So ducks, guess who I felt come back to Sunnydale tonight?" He asked, sitting down on her couch.

"Angelus? Yes, we've already talked. Agreed to help me, and we didn't even have to use stakes. Amazing." She said. "Will you be in the plan?" She asked, hoping she didn't sound to hopeful.

"Whats the plan?" He asked suspisciously.

"Me. You. Angelus mixed in for some fighting. Oh, and Delia." She said.

"The Prom Queen?" He asked.

"May Queen. And she won't be when I'm done with her. She'll be a fighter, witch, and friend." She said.

"Speaking of witch. What the hell happened last night?" He asked.

"I'm in a coven, and I am now the High Priestess. The High Priest was going to kill Duvessa anyways, he just said if I wanted to be High Priestess after she died." She stated simply.

"Why does that not comfort me?" He said wryly.

"Anyways, you wanna hear the plan, or go help Slutty and Co?" She asked. Spike chuckled.

"I'll hear you out." He said. And yet another time tonight, Willow explained her plan. Spike agreed also, but after she was through, Spike asked a question.

"What about the chip?" He asked.

"Let me take care of that." She said.

"Whatever you say. And when is this plan gonna happen?" He asked.

"Aren't you just the quizzitive one tonight?" She said wryly. "Anyways I'm gonna have Angelus go to LA, he's leaving tomorrow. He's gonna act like Angel, bring back Cordy, I'm gonna train her, he may kill Wesley, don't know..I'm gonna train Cordy, and when she's ready, Slutty is going down, along with Xander, but he's gonna live. Wonder what I should do about Giles and Anya? Anya is cool, and would be a great fighter. And she's a witch. Giles..." Willow said.

"We kill Tweady." He said.

"But what about Ripper? He's damn good, acts like you actually." She said.

"Hey!" He said, a little to loudly.

"What? He does. All evil, and stuff. He's already brought a demon forth." She said.

"Well, maybe." Spike said. "so about the chip?" He asked. Willow got up, and went to her room, grabbed some herbs, oil, and her cauldron. She set it up in the living room, and told Spike to be quiet, that she had to concentrate. After thirty minutes, the spell was complete, and she knew Spike could fight humans, and kill them.

"Alright, lets go test it." She said. She dragged him outside, and went to the park. There was an older man, about 40 sitting on a bench. She walked up.."Excuse me, could you please tell me the time?" She asked.

"It's 10:47, young lady." He turned to look at her. "Willow?" He asked. It was the High Priest from the Coven.

"Donegal?! Hey." She said. she silently motioned Spike, and he started behind him.

"So, have you spoken to Angelus?" He asked.

"Yes, he has agreed. Although, I have found a problem in the plan." She said.

"What? This plan has been throughly laid out. It will help me... I mean we.... become rulers of the Hellmouth." He said.

"I've changed the plan. See, I don't see where you're gonna fit in. Seeing as how you are about to die." She stated simply. Donegal just looked shocked. Suddenly Spike took his throat and slid his fangs into the mans neck. Donegal of course struggled, which only made the blood tastier, and not to long later he dropped Donegal to the ground, and started back towards Willow.

"Lets go celebrate." She said. She took his hand and they headed to Willy's Place.
