DER WEIDEDÄMON (7/?)

Angel stood up when the front door slammed opened and a winded Giles came
sliding into the room, "Willow... where is she?" the watcher demanded
looking around the living room for some signs of the little redhead in
question.

"Upstairs... resting with Faith," Angel replied wondering what the Watcher
was so upset about, "why?" he demanded his demon stirring as all sorts of
possibilities started going through his mind.  'What did that bastard Rayne
do to her?' he questioned to himself watching Giles sprint toward the stairs
taking them two at a time in his haste.

"That one... on the left," Buffy called out as she, Angel and Cordelia
trailed after the running Watcher, each wondering what had gotten into the
British magic shop owner and why he hadn't bothered to share it with them.

Stopping at the door Buffy indicated, Giles throw it open praying he would
not be too late, only to be greeted by a snarling Willow from the bed who
was glaring at him with glowing red eyes.  "Mine!" she growled her eyes
flashing as the Watcher was suddenly picked up and thrown into the opposite
wall the door slamming closed in front of him.

Slamming to a stop more out of shock then anything else, the vampire stared
in confusion at the dazed Watcher trying to pick himself up off the floor.
"Wha' the??" Buffy and Cordelia chorused s one nearly knocking the shocked
vampire over.

A moment later the bedroom door opened again, Faith poking her head out to
see whom Willow had evicted.  "Ouch... G-man anyone teach you how to knock?"
she asked watching Buffy and Angel help the man stand.

"F-faith... did Willow bite you?" Giles demanded trying to get a look at the
younger Slayer's neck only to be stopped by another growl as Willow poked
her head out from under Faith's arm and growled at him again.

"Look... let me get Red calmed down and I'll try to answer any questions you
have," Faith said making sure Willow didn't slip past her and try to hurt
Giles before disappearing back into the room and closing the door.

"And while she's calming down Wills... you can tell us what the hell is
going on here," Buffy demanded steadying her Watcher while giving him a firm
look.

Downstairs in the main room once more -

Giles settled himself warily down in one of the chairs trying to gather his
thoughts, "I think I found the spell Ethan was conducting," he began looking
around the room at the group now gathered there.  Angel and Cordelia sitting
on the couch together, while Buffy leaned against the fireplace and Spike
sulked in another chair, all eyes on him waiting for him to continue.

"Well out with it Watcher... what did that git do to my Red?!" Spike
demanded cringing a bit as the chip in his head went off.

Ignoring the scowling vampire for the moment, "I think he was trying to
summon a demon... an old and very powerful demon... one that pre-dates the
Slayer," he began.  "According to myth this demon is what kept the demon
race in check before the coming of man."

"So what happened to them?"

"I'm not sure... most of the information has been lost to time, but all
indications point to the Slayer evolving out of this one particular demon...
the one that kept the balance between good and evil.  As near as we can
figure when the last demon was leaving earth and bit a human creating
vampires... the last of these demons bit a human."

"Creating the Slayer," Angel finished for him his mind working.

"But why try to bring these demons back?" Buffy wondered not wanting to
think about the possibility of her being part demon, it went against
everything the Council taught. 'Oh wait... that's a good thing,' she amended
with a mental shake, anything that took the tweed wears down a peg or two
was a good thing in her books.

"With the return of these demons, which predate the Slayer and is born to
hunt evil... what use would there be for a chosen one," Giles asked, letting
the news sink in.

"Well I say; 'go for it'... let a demon do the slaying and let Bitchy
retire," Spike commented with a wide grin and smirk.

"Can I stake him?" Buffy questioned giving the bleached blonde vampire a
dirty look.

"What does all this have to do with Willow," Angel asked choosing to ignore
the two glaring blondes.

"I think your arrival mad Ethan mess up the spell... instead of resurrecting
the entire demon race he was after he only got one," Giles continued also
ignoring the two.

"Which is now inside Wills," Cordelia guessed, "so how do we get it out of
her?"

"We don't," another voice said, as everyone turned toward Faith who was
standing in the main room's threshold, a t-shirt clad Willow hiding behind
her legs taking tentative peeks at them all every now and then.

"Mine?" the little redhead questioned pointing at the two on the couch and
looking up at her mate confusion clear in her eyes.  Looking down at the
hacker, Faith somehow knew that she wasn't claiming them, she just wanted to
know if they were friends or not.

"Yours," the dark Slayer said watching as Willow suddenly bolted out from
behind her and onto the couch to land beside a startled Angel.

Staring intently into the tall dark-haired vampire's face for a long moment,
Willow reached down and placed Angel's right hand on Cordelia's knee before
turning her attention to his left hand.  Holding up the hand for closer
inspection, the redhead contented herself with inspection the fascinating
appendage tracing the long fingers with one finger, purring happily.  Only
to stop when Angel tried to move his right hand, growling at the offending
hand, she replaced it on Cordelia's knee giving it a little smack and
another growl.

Cocking an eyebrow at the hacker, Angel let his game face surface and
growled right back at her, although his hand stayed right where it where it
was.  Turning to study this new face before her, the redhead purred happily,
grinning widely before licking his nose.

"Oh no you don't," Faith cautioned remembering what Red did right after she
got a lick on the nose, tapping the hacker on the shoulder, she got another
surprise as Willow arched back and grabbed her behind the head and kissed
her hungrily.

"She's awfully affectionate now... isn't she?" Buffy questioned dryly,
knowing that at any other time she would find this funny as hell.

"Ah.. yes," Giles commented, his mind going back to what happened in the old
Master's lair, "She most have imprinted on the four of you," he suggested,
"back in the lair... Angel, Cordelia, Faith, and Spike were there first
people she saw right before she passed out."

'Well hello,' Spike thought straightening up in  his chair, 'seems my Red is
now a demon and is bonded to me,' his mind already latching onto all the
possibilities.

Shaking his head absently, Angel thought over the information, realizing
that Willow was acting like a demon running on her base instincts.  "The
beating Ethan gave her... it must be affecting the demon as well," he
reasoned aloud, as the redhead turned back to him to regard him with glowing
red eyes, "that's right... I'm in charge around here," he found himself
saying returning her stare.

Willow stared into Angel's yellow/gold eyes, 'Father,' she decided firmly
with a nod of her head, turning toward Cordelia and adding, 'Father's mate,'
smelling the vampire all over the seer.  Turning back to her mate, she
purred happily wanting to get naked with her again, but someone was missing.
Frowning a bit she looked around her mate's body, growling lowly at Giles
before her eyes settled on Spike.  With a happy purr she was off, pouncing
on the startled vampire in a flash knocking him, armchair and all over.
"Mine!" she growled possessively licking his nose already pulling at his
cloths to get him naked.

"Grab her before she molests Spike!" Buffy yelled, but then stopped as the
absurdity of her words came back to her.  Shaking her head to clear it of
the rather disrupting image of a naked Spike being ravished by her best
friend, certain she was now going to have nightmares for a week, she started
forward again only to be beaten there by Faith and Cordelia.
