Sun: Willow realizes that Spike is going to need ID if he’s going to have bank accounts and own a home, whether they bought or rented. She manages to lower Spike’s defenses long enough to get a name out of him, and then rewards him for trusting her enough to tell her.

Mon: Willow calls Angel and asks if he can get some identity papers together for Spike. He agrees.

Wed: Willow picks Xander up from the site after work because Anya has to use the car. Xander plops a hard hat on her head and shows Willow one of the unfinished interior condos his company is working on. Willow loves it. She excitedly tells Spike about it that night when she gets home, and they make plans for Xander to show it to them on the weekend. They celebrate. Like Willow and Spike need an excuse to have sex!!

Thurs: Buffy shows up at research and makes an effort to be friendly with Willow, Xander, Anya, Tara, Oz, and Giles while doing her best to ignore Spike.

Fri: Before heading for The Bronze, Xander, Anya, Willow, and Spike go to the site where Xander gets them in and shows them the interior condo he previously showed Willow. Spike, who doesn’t really care where they live as long as they’re together, but can see that Willow really likes it, agrees that it’s perfect. They continue on to The Bronze, where Willow is still very excited, and Spike benefits from it! Buffy drops by, but even her presence can’t dampen Willow and Spike’s good mood.

Mon: Xander approaches the owner of the building when he stops by to check on their progress and asks if any of the condos are still available. He tells Xander that all the condos are under contract, the closings pending completion of the rehabilitation project. He offers to put Willow’s name on a waiting list. Xander calls Willow during lunch and breaks the news to her. Willow tells Spike. She is disappointed, but resigns herself to having to live in a motel for a time while they continue to look for a house or apartment they both like. Spike tries his best to take Willow’s mind off the condo.

Over the next two weeks: With most of the house packed up, Willow and Spike wait for the papers to be prepared and the closing to be scheduled. In the meantime, she has classes and they both attend research sessions and continue to try to find out anything they can about the restoration spell. Buffy makes an appearance at research and meets them at The Bronze. She attempts to accept Willow and Spike’s relationship, but it is difficult for her, and she usually doesn’t stay very long. They celebrate Xander being done with long hours when his company finishes rehab’ing the warehouse they turned into condos.

Sat: Angel uses the excuse of delivering Spike’s identity papers to come and visit. He arrives a couple hours after sunset and stays as long as he can and still make it back to LA by sunrise. After he leaves, Spike sits in the living room staring at the papers he was too moved to do more than glance at when Angel was there. Willow wakes up and finds him sitting in the living room and takes him to bed; they make love and then fall back to sleep.

Mon: Willow packs up the bedroom and bathroom for an expected closing that week.

Tues: Willow gets a phone call from the owner of the warehouse/condos. One of the buyers died under mysterious circumstances, as residents of Sunnydale are wont to do, before completing the purchase. The condo he was under contract to purchase is an exterior one, and a little more expensive than the interior one she showed an interest in before. He has a long waiting list, but because she is a friend of Xander’s, will give her first option on the newly-available condo. Willow babbles, of course! She asks if she and her boyfriend can come look at the condo that evening. He agrees.

Willow skips her afternoon classes and races home to tell Spike. She finds him lying in bed reading the book of poetry she gave him. She jumps excitedly on the bed to give him the news. Smut ensues. Before research, Willow and Spike drive to the river front to look at the condo. Inside the front door is a foyer, to the left the kitchen, and to the right and down three steps is the living room. Down the hallway is the master bedroom and bath on the right, a dining area, and laundry room on the left. A staircase in the living room leads to a loft which contains three bedrooms and the guest bath. Sliding glass doors in the living room, hallway, and bedroom open to the deck which runs along the entire right and back sides of the condo, and looks out over the river. The hardwood floors are uncarpeted. The only con is the windows, especially those in the living room which run nearly floor-to-ceiling. The big plus is the hot tub on the deck outside the master bedroom that Spike had mentioned wanting. The asphalt of the warehouse parking lot had been torn up and replaced with a smaller parking area for the condos. Dirt was brought in, and the new yard beautifully landscaped around the building.

The owner leaves Willow and Spike alone long enough to discuss whether they should purchase the condo. Spike is concerned about the windows, but can tell that Willow really wants to get it. She assures him that they’ll fix the windows, either with heavy blinds and drapes, or with tinting, or that she and Tara would come up with a spell to keep the UV rays out and Spike of the not-dusted. Willow goes on to say that they could turn one of the upstairs bedrooms into a study room for her, one into a room just for him, and leave the third as a guest room. Spike worriedly asks if she expects to have many guests. They agree to purchase the condo, and read over the contract and sign it on the spot. Because they’re paying cash, the owner agrees to a closing the following week, since his attorney had the paperwork all ready to go for the other purchaser and would just need to change the names.

Willow and Spike head to Giles’, but she is too excited to research. She tells them that one of the condos that Xander’s company worked on became available, and she and Spike signed a contract that evening to purchase it. They have an impromptu celebration and Giles breaks out his good Scotch. Willow thanks Xander for his help in getting their name moved to the top of the waiting list. That night Spike asks Willow whether she really wants his name on the condo, and she assures him that she does, and then proceeds to show him how much.

Wed: Willow and Tara meet to discuss a spell for the windows. They prepare the spell and gather the necessary ingredients.

Thurs: Buffy attends research and finds out about the condo when the others start discussing when they should have a housewarming party. Willow explains that her parents left her the house and some money for its upkeep before moving to New York, but that she and Spike wanted something that was ‘theirs’, not her parents’. Buffy congratulates them, but soon leaves for patrol. Their happiness makes her feel bad because she’s on the outside of the group and can’t be really happy for them.

Fri: They close on the sale of her parents’ house and move their belongings, except for those they need to take with them, into a storage locker. They rent a hotel room, and expect to be there for less than a week. Spike and Willow take advantage of the new venue by soaking in the jacuzzi (and having sex!) before heading out to pick Xander and Anya up for a celebration dinner.

Sat: After sunset Willow and Spike go shopping for their new home. They hit the furniture stores first, purchasing the items they’ll need most, a bedroom set and a living room set.

Sun: Xander and Anya come over to the hotel for a movie day so they can all enjoy the ‘decadence’ of the posh hotel room with its mini-bar and room service.

Mon: After sunset Willow and Spike close on the purchase of the condo, title to which is held in the names of Willow Laila Rosenburg and William Andrew Hamilton-Lyons. After the closing, they stop by the condo they now own and christen it.

Tues: Willow skips her classes to oversee the furniture delivery that morning, fills up the hot tub, and calls the telephone and electric companies. That afternoon, Tara stops by and they do the spell on the windows, after which she and Anya go shopping for bedding, towels, dishes, etc. Instead of research, everyone, except Buffy, helps Willow and Spike move their belongings out of the hotel and the storage locker, and into the condo. Willow and Spike spend their first night in their new home, and a little time in the hot tub.

Wed: Willow goes to the dorm to pack up the belongings she left there after moving into her parents’ house with Spike. Buffy is there and they talk, telling the other how much they miss each other. Willow assures Buffy that she wants to do things with her, and Buffy agrees that she wants to, too, but isn’t sure she can be around Spike. Willow resolutely tells her that Spike will always be in her life, and she’ll need to get over her hatred of him. She goes on to tell Buffy that she loves him, and trusts him with her life. Buffy looks nauseous, but says nothing. Buffy helps Willow carry the boxes to the SUV. After sunset, Willow and Spike do some more shopping for the house, including an entertainment center, dining room set, deck furniture, television, and stereo system, which they arrange to have delivered the next day.

Thurs: Spike oversees the furniture delivery while Willow is at school. Everyone attends research, and the talk eventually turns to the house warming party, which they decide should be the following Saturday night since Oz will be in town. Buffy is there, but doesn’t contribute much to the conversation. After they get home, Spike calls Angel to let him know they’ve moved. He gives Angel their new address and telephone number, and invites him and his ‘humans’ to the house warming party. Angel updates him on the status of the search for his accounts. After the conversation, Spike is moody. He finally admits he’s not sure if Angel will come, and Willow understands that he really wants him to.

Fri: Willow calls Angel from school to tell him how much they both want him to come down for the party the following weekend. She even promises to buy a bed for the guest room if he comes. He questions her about Spike, and Willow assures him that Spike wants him to come, too. Angel tries to hide it, but Willow can tell he’s pleased. Willow makes a point to find Buffy and makes sure she knows that she is invited to the party, but reminds her that the condo is Spike’s home, and she will have to be polite to him if she wants to remain welcome there.

Over the next week: Willow and Spike furnish the rest of the condo. When they stop by the furniture store, the sales clerks remember them and rush to wait on them. They order furniture for the guest bedroom, a day bed, desk, chair, and bookshelves for her study room, a leather sofa bed for Spike’s room, and rugs for the floors. Willow stocks up on groceries and blood, and she and Anya shop for the party as well as picking up additional bedding.

They call Angel and make plans for him, Cordy, and Wesley to drive down early Saturday morning before sunrise so he doesn’t miss any of the party. They will spend Saturday night and leave Sunday night. Willow cleans the condo and gets the guestrooms ready for their company.

Willow buys Spike his house warming gift from her - a honey-colored female Labrador puppy to keep him company while she is at school. Spike is pleased with the puppy, which of course takes an immediate liking to him, but hides it behind snarky comments about the puppy as it slides across the wood floor and slobbers happily on them. Willow asks him what he is going to name it, and he suggests things like ‘Killer’. Willow suggests ‘Honey’, because of it’s color, and Spike insists that no dog of his will be called a poncey name like ‘Honey’!

Sat: Willow, Spike, and Honey greet Angel, Cordy, and Wesley when they arrive, and show them where they’re going to be sleeping. Willow goes back to bed while Spike and Angel stay up to watch the sunrise through the spelled windows, with Honey on her owner’s lap. Angel asks who will be coming to the party, Spike tells him, making special mention that Buffy will be there to see his reaction. Angel immediately asks if she’s tried anything since his last visit. Spike, gratified that his sire cares, says no, deciding not to mention their confrontation. They talk about the progress, or lack thereof, on the restoration spell. Eventually, they retire for the day, but not before Angel gives Spike a hug.

The afternoon is harried. Willow bakes and cleans - again. Xander comes by with tables they’ve borrowed for the party and helps set them up. Angel and Spike smartly wake up late and share blood in the kitchen with Wesley and Honey, who are not drinking blood, while Cordy and Willow get ready for the party.

Guests begin arriving, and everyone is having a great time, though Xander baits Angel as often as possible. Buffy shows up late, almost as if she had to psyche herself up to attend, and is shocked to see the AI gang in attendance. Angel avoids Buffy at first, but later speaks with her privately on the deck. He tells her that he’s heard about her confrontation with Spike, and lets her know that he and Spike have reconciled, and that he would be unhappy to discover that she might have had anything to do with him becoming dust.

Buffy says that Spike is evil and will only end up hurting Willow. Angel replies that of course he’s evil, he’s a demon, but that he wouldn’t purposely do anything to hurt Willow. He realizes that Spike will do anything for Willow, including go against his very nature to be with her. The fact that he wants to turn Willow, but is willing to wait until they have the restoration spell says a lot to Angel. Buffy is still skeptical, but Angel is adamant that she leave Spike alone. Honey interrupts them, and he leaves an incredulous Buffy standing alone on the deck to consider their conversation.

Xander eventually joins her, and Buffy asks him how he can trust Spike now that he has the chip removed. Xander says that he’s no different now than he was before, that the chip only kept him from hurting them directly. If he really wanted to hurt them, he could have had someone else do it. Then says that there is one difference, he’d lose Willow if he hurt them. Buffy insists that he will only end up hurting Willow, and Xander looks at her in disbelief. He tells her if she believes that, then she hasn’t seen the way he looks at her.

They go inside, and for the rest of the evening Buffy studies Spike. She notices the way he smiles and seems to glow whenever Willow is around; the way he still picks on Xander, but the barbs lack malice; the shyness whenever Angel approaches him; and the way he cuddles Honey despite his obvious embarrassment at his own display of emotion over a puppy.

The party ends late - everyone who’s leaving leaves, and the others go to bed, except for the vamps who again take the opportunity to bond.

Sun: Willow, Cordy, and Wesley clean up the post-party debris while the vamps sleep. When they are done, Wesley goes to visit with Giles, and Cordy and Willow sit on the deck with Honey and visit. Cordy asks how Willow and Spike got together, and Willow tells her all about the sleepwalking, the moving in together, the getting together, Oz returning and realizing what was going on between them, the discovery of the spell on the ring, Buffy’s reaction to the bite, Anya and Tara helping to remove the chip, Buffy attempting to stake Spike, Spike’s visit with Angel, and ends with how she and Xander are trying to patch things up with Buffy. She leaves out any mention of the restoration spell.

Wesley returns and joins them on the deck. When Spike and Angel wake up, they go inside, order take-out, and watch a movie. Spike sits in his recliner with Willow and Honey on his lap; Angel sits on one end of the couch with a reclining Cordy’s feet in his lap while Wesley takes the other chair. After sunset, Angel, Cordy, and Wesley say goodbye and leave. Willow and Spike take Honey for a walk so Spike can feed. When they return to the condo, they relax in the hot tub.

Over the next three weeks: Buffy tries to be a part of Willow’s life. She tries harder at research and when they go to The Bronze, and meets Willow for lunch at school. The gang starts patrolling together again. Spike furnishes his room with a recliner to match the leather sofa, and a desk. He also purchases a laptop and a journal so he can try his hand at writing again. Willow encourages him, telling him that he has so much to write about, so much life experience to draw upon. He and Honey call Willow at school every afternoon just to hear her voice and tell her they love her.

Second two weeks of May: Willow, Buffy, and Tara start meeting for study sessions in preparation for upcoming finals, in addition to research, patrols, and Bronzing it with their friends.

Last week of May: Buffy, Willow, and Tara take their finals. The Friday after finals, Willow, Tara, and Oz help Buffy pack up her dorm room and move home. That Saturday, they all meet at The Bronze for their end-of-the-semester bash.

First two weeks of June: Willow considers getting a summer job, but decides to sign up for a couple summer classes, since they don’t need the money yet; she suggests that Spike sign up for an on-line writing course, and after giving it some thought, he agrees. Willow and Tara get together with Giles to practice spells. They continue to attend research, go on patrol with Buffy, and keep up with Wesley’s attempts to translate the restoration spell. Everyone comes over to Willow and Spike’s for movie night one night, and they go to The Bronze another.

Fri: Oz contacts Giles to tell him that he encountered a werewolf. Giles calls the gang together and they go out with tranquilizer guns to hunt down the werewolf. Oz leads them to the place where he spotted it, and he and Spike work together to follow its scent. When they get close, they split up. Willow, Xander, and Anya go with Spike; Buffy, Giles, and Tara go with Oz. They surround the werewolf, tranq it, and deliver the captured wolf to the crypt and the cage that Oz used after the high school was destroyed. Oz and Giles agree that it would be best if the two of them return in the morning with clothes, food, and an explanation for the wolf’s human counterpart.

On their way out of the cemetery, they engage in relaxed banter and playful rough-housing, relieved that they had little problem capturing the werewolf before it hurt anyone. The first indication they have of trouble is Willow’s cry of surprised pain when she stumbles and falls. Everyone immediately halts, but no one is able to assist Willow because the snarling demons surrounding them, which ironically closely resemble large bi-pedal dogs, attack.

Buffy goes into Slayer mode, Giles takes her back, Oz allows his inner-wolf to come forth, Tara reaches into her pocket and starts chanting a spell, Xander and Anya stand protectively over Willow’s prone form, Spike smells Willow’s blood and slips into game face. The battle is fierce, and several of the Scoobies take minor injuries, except Oz, whose arm is badly torn.

When the battle is over, Spike rushes to Willow’s side. Her eyes are open, but glazed and dull. He kneels beside her; she recognizes him, and tries to speak. Spike tells her to save her energy, and pulls her into his lap. His hand slips on the blood and gore covering her back. He notices that her heart rate has slowed, and is alarmed. He calls her name frantically, telling her he loves her, and begging her not to die. She takes a ragged, rattling breath and tells him she loves him, too, and that she’s sorry they didn’t finish the spell. Everyone is gathered around them, softly calling Willow’s name, asking Spike what’s wrong, and if she’s going to be all right. Spike just shakes his head, pulls Willow close, and kisses her. She dies with a smile on her face. Spike cries as he rocks her in his arms.

Xander kneels beside him, and with tears in his own eyes, wraps his arms around Spike and the body of his best friend. Anya, having never dealt with death before, is shocked. She keeps asking Xander what’s wrong, and then falls to her knees beside him, wrapping her arms around him from the back and laying her head on his shoulder. Buffy shakes her head ‘no’, and backs up into Giles. He holds her while she breaks down, angry, and hurt, and guilty for wasted time. Tara holds Oz up, and they both stare at their friends in stunned disbelief.

After several long moments, a tearful Spike shrugs Xander’s arms off him. He lays Willow on the ground and takes his duster off. Wrapping her in the duster, he lifts her into his arms and carries her out of the cemetery. Everyone watches him take a few steps before they are galvanized into action and follow him. Not wanting to be alone, they form a procession as Spike leads the way to the condo.

Spike lays Willow, still wrapped in her shroud, on the couch in the living room. He kneels on the floor beside her, his head bowed, her hand held tightly in his. He doesn’t speak to anyone. Honey, who doesn’t know what’s going on, whimpers and lays at Spike’s knees. Giles finally takes control - he sends Tara and Oz to the hospital to have Oz’s arm tended, and Xander, Anya, and Buffy home to get some rest. They don’t want to leave, so Giles sends them upstairs to sleep after he insists Oz get some medical attention. Xander and Anya enter the guestroom, Buffy stands and stares into Willow’s study room. Xander takes her hand and pulls her into the guestroom with them. The three of them lie on the bed and hold each other as they grieve.

Sat: Giles sits in the chair and watches over Spike, eventually falling asleep. Spike doesn’t move from his vigil until it is nearly sunrise. He kisses Willow’s hand and lays it upon her breast before standing and moving to the telephone. He dials, and holds the phone to his ear, speaking into the machine at Angel Investigations as he watches the sky lighten.

"Angelus, it’s William. I just wanted... Willow’s dead. Demon. When you find my accounts, give some...give some of the money to the Watcher and...everyone else here. You’ll know who. She’d want them taken care of. Give ‘em enough to live on, and keep the rest for yourself. I can’t...I don’t want to live without her. Goodbye...sire." He’s all cried out, and his voice is flat and lifeless.

He hangs up the phone and moves over to the sliding glass doors. He unlocks them and slides them open. He turns to Willow with a sad smile. The phone rings, but he ignores it. He returns to her side, lifts her into his arms, and carries her to the open door. The machine picks up, and Angel’s frantic voice fills the room. "Spike!" he calls. "Spike, pick up the phone. William! Childe!"

Spike ignores him and steps out onto the deck, holding Willow reverently in his arms as he watches the sun come up over the horizon. Angel continues to yell into the machine. "Spike, don’t do it. Please. I know it seems bad right now... Spike! Spike!"

Angel’s yelling finally rouses Giles, who wakens with a start. He looks around in confusion until he remembers where he is, and what happened the night before. He searches for Spike, finally spotting him on the deck. Spike continues to ignore Angel, and whispers to Willow, "I’m sorry, luv. I know it’s weak, but I can’t live without you. Never been happier than I have these last few months. I love you, Willow." He raises his face to the sun as his body starts to tingle.

Giles adds his cries to those of Angel when he sees Spike standing on the deck in the pre-dawn light with Willow in his arms, and realizes what he is going to do. He runs to the deck just as the first rays of the sun touch them. He grabs Spike’s arm and drags him back into the condo, shoving the sliding door shut. It takes them several stunned moments to realize that the sunlight didn’t burn him.

Xander, Anya, and Buffy show up at the top of the stairs, wondering what all the yelling is about. Without responding, Spike pulls the door back open a crack and sticks his hand in the beam of sunlight. His hand remains unharmed. He throws his head back and screams in agony, not wanting to still be alive when Willow is dead. He falls to his knees, Willow still cradled gently in his arms, and keens his grief.

Willow’s body shudders as she inhales, filling her lungs with air. She shakily raises her hand to Spike’s tear-lined face, and in a raspy voice asks him what’s wrong. Spike stares at her in disbelief, until he realizes that he can hear her heartbeat, and his expression changes to one of wonder. He tells her he loves her over and over again as he crushes her to his chest. Giles reaches out and touches her hair. Xander, Anya, and Buffy race down the stairs and pile onto Spike and Willow, dragging Giles down with them.

Spike is the first to recover, and he tells the others to give Willow some room to breathe, repeating joyfully that she needs to breathe. The moment is interrupted when the phone rings again. Giles automatically picks it up and proceeds to assure a distraught Angel that Spike is very much alive and so, it seems, is Willow. That comment reminds Spike of what happened, and he checks Willow’s injuries, which have mysteriously disappeared. A whining Honey is pulled onto Willow’s lap, and both are held in Spike’s arms.

Giles hands the phone to Spike who tells Angel that he’s all right, and that Willow’s alive. He can’t keep from repeating himself, and finally tells Angel he’ll call him back later when they’ve had a chance to figure out what happened. He disconnects and hands the phone to Giles, who says, "Eternity." They all look at him, and he reminds them that the true love spell said they’d be together for eternity.

Xander, Anya, and Buffy look confused and ask Giles what he means, at which time he confesses to them that there had been more to the spell than what he revealed to them all, and that he had been waiting until he could research it further before mentioning it. He didn’t mention that Willow and Spike already knew, or that their research had been into the restoration spell. He then recited the entire spell, ‘Seek out my true love and reveal to me the destiny of my heart, that we shall be together for all eternity.’

This is too much for them all to take in. Spike tells everyone to go home and meet them back there that night, they’d talk about it more then, but in the meantime, he was gonna give Willow a bath and shag her rotten. They all bolt, Giles conveniently remembering about the human they left in the cage, leaving Willow and Spike alone. Spike carries her to the bedroom where he rips her clothes off and they have emotionally-charged sex to prove to both of them that they’re still alive. He draws a bath which they share; he washes her and then holds her tight until the water goes cold. Lifting her out of the tub, he dries her off and takes her to bed, where he slowly makes love to her, and then they fall asleep. Honey sneaks in and jumps onto the bed with them.

After waking, they shower, and then feed Honey. Willow heats up Spike’s blood while he calls Angel to explain what happened, and how ‘eternity’ didn’t seem to mean he was supposed to turn Willow. Thankfully they have a portable phone, because Angel wants to talk, to reassure himself that Spike is really alive, and Spike won’t let Willow out of his sight. He invites Angel to come up that night if he wants, as the others will be gathering there to discuss the true love spell. He warns Angel that Giles didn’t tell anyone about the research they were doing on the restoration spell.

Before the others arrive, Willow makes Spike tell her what he was going to do, and he admits he was going to kill himself because he didn’t want to live without her. Tears fill her eyes. She asks him what Honey, Angel, and the others would have done without *him*, and he replies sadly that he didn’t care, it hurt too much to live in a world without her in it.

When everyone gets there, they order out, and then immediately start discussing the true love spell, and Spike and Willow’s seeming invulnerability. They consider why Willow was dead for so long, and wonder if it was because it was her first death, or if next time she dies it will take that long to revive. Spike growls that there won’t be a next time. They discuss whether Spike is also immune to a wooden stake through the heart. They suggest testing, and Willow immediately protests. Giles clarifies that they meant to test the other, less fatal vampire deterrents, such as holy water and crosses. Xander jokes that, from now on when they go on patrol, Spike takes point.

The Sunnydale residents leave and Angel, reluctant to let Spike out of his sight now, is asked to spend the night. He, Willow, and Spike, with a snoring Honey on Angel’s lap, stay up most of the night talking. As the sun rises, they stop talking and watch it, then go to bed.

Over the summer: Willow and Spike continue with their classes, research, and patrol. Despite the proof of Willow’s ‘resurrection’, Spike is still reluctant to let her out of his sight for long. They spend long hours together proving to each other that they’re both still very much alive, and take walks in the sun. Spike stares around him in wonder every time, and thinks that it will never get old. Willow and Tara remove the spell on the windows, but keep it and the necessary ingredients handy for visits from Angel. They spend time with the gang outside of research, and Buffy slowly becomes a part of their lives again. Seeing Spike’s reaction after Willow was killed, and knowing that he was going to kill himself because he couldn’t live without her, went far towards changing her opinion on whether Spike was going to hurt Willow. Angel finally finds Spike’s accounts.

The Scoobs and AI gang celebrate the 4th of July at the condo, drifting between the deck and the living room. Spike stays inside with Angel, knowing he’ll be able to step out into the sun anytime he wants. About two weeks later, Willow becomes ill. She claims it’s nothing, but when she is still sick a week later, they tell Giles. He and Wesley consult, and neither can figure out how she can defy death, yet become ill. Giles suggests she go to the doctor for a check-up to see what he had to say, and Spike is quick to remind her that that’s what he suggested, too.

Willow gets in to see her doctor a couple days later, and Spike is on pins and needles until the day arrives. He goes with her to the appointment. Willow relates her symptoms to the doctor, and he asks her if she could be pregnant. She smiles sadly at Spike and tells the doctor that she couldn’t be. He suggests they test for it anyway, since she seems to be in perfect health otherwise. Two days later, the doctor’s office calls her with the results. Willow turns white and shares them with Spike, who faints.

Spike wakes up and asks Willow if it’s true. She smiles, tears in her eyes, and says ‘yes’, immediately assuring him that the baby is his, and that he’d know if she’d been with anyone else. Spike reassures her that he never believed otherwise. They call the gang together to give them the news that Willow is pregnant, and then drive down to LA to share the news with Angel. Wesley and Giles have a grand time trying to figure out how the spell not only made Spike invulnerable to sunlight, but also made him fertile. Xander rolled his eyes and groused about a ‘baby Spike’. Spike just spent a lot of time staring at Willow and rubbing her growing belly.

7 months, 3 weeks later: Willow gives birth to a blonde-haired, green-eyed baby girl. The following announcement was sent:
