As the paramedics were wheeling Wesley out to the ambulance, Angel remembered Willow, and looked over to where he had last seen her, wanting to make sure she was alright. What he saw was no Willow, anywhere, and even more worryingly, no Spike. "Giles, where are Willow and Spike?"
Giles looked at Angel, "Don't be stupid, they're right over..." He turned to gesture at the direction of Spike and Willow, and encountered empty air. "Um... Angel, where are they?"
"That's what I'm asking you! You're supposed to be the
answer man! Oh no! I'm starting to sound like Xander! It's the stress!
No! It's Spike! That bastard must have taken Willow!
We have to get her back!"
********
"Spike! Put me down! What ARE you doing?" Willow was furious. Spike gently placed her feet on the ground, not letting go of her though. He was definitely not going to let her run back to the mansion. "Relax luv, I'm just getting you away from a bad situation. After all, that guy was trying to kill you."
"Yeah, until Angel threw him through a wall! Then he kinda stopped! So there was no danger. So why did you grab me and run?"
"But pet, for all we know the other watcher was going to try to kill you too. This way, you're well out of it."
"Giles wouldn't try to kill me! Now why did you *really* do it?"
"Well, luv, over the years, I've learned to take advantage of any opportunity that comes up. And this was too good an opportunity to miss."
"What is *that* supposed to mean?"
*********
"Let's split up. He can't have gotten far."
"Right. You go that way, I'll go this way." The two men split up, moving carefully, looking for any sign of Spike and Willow.
