"She *must* be destroyed!" Wesley declared.
"No she will not be destroyed! We haven't seen her do anything whatsoever that indicates a need for destruction." Giles replied.
Giles had come to the hospital to see how Wesley was doing, and from the moment he had walked into the room the other watcher had been trying to convince him that Willow had to be killed. Giles was getting rather tired of the whole conversation.
"Trust me. She is evil."
"Wesley, right now I don't trust you any further than I could throw you. And I'm getting sick of this discussion."
"She showed up here today and tried to kill *me*! She's using evil powers!"
"She did what?!?!?! You look remarkably lifelike for a dead man then. If she has these powers and tried to kill you, how did you survive?"
"She must have changed her mind, but she did try to kill me. Look at this." Wesley showed Giles his wrist where Willow had grabbed him. There was a hand shaped burn surrounding it. "She grabbed my wrist and my whole body felt like it had been set on fire, then she told me that she would crush my heart if I angered her again."
Giles got up abruptly and left the room. He had to talk to Willow.
********
Giles burst into the mansion. Willow was sitting on the couch reading a book and Spike and Angel were just waking up.
"What did you do?" Giles demanded.
Willow looked up at him, "What do you mean?"
"I just saw Wesley. What did you do?"
Spike and Angel walked into the room as Giles was speaking. Angel answered him.
"She's been here the whole time Giles. She hasn't had a chance to do anything."
Giles ignored Angel and glared at Willow, waiting for an answer.
Willow replied, "Nothing that won't heal." All three men stared at her in shock. Giles was the first to recover.
"Why did you do anything to him?"
"Well, he did try to kill me. I just wanted him to know not to try again. And all I did was hurt him a little. Just enough so that he won't do it again."
"Willow, you can't just go around hurting people just because you have the power to."
"I don't want to hurt anyone, but I'm not going to just let people try to kill me. It was preemptive self-defense."
There was really nothing Giles could say to that, especially since he wanted to hurt Wesley all the time. At least Willow had *some* excuse.
"Just don't do it again Willow. I can protect you this time, but if it happens again and Wesley contacts the council, they will try to destroy you."
"Okay Giles. Just so long as he doesn't try to kill me again. I really don't like hurting people."
Giles nodded and left the mansion.
