SEIZE THE NIGHT

Willow placed the flowers on the tombstone. She couldn't believe that Jesse was gone. Well, not really gone. He was a vampire. She sighed, resting her head on the cold surface of the marker. Not two weeks ago, she hadn't believed in vampires. The only ones she knew of were the hollywood version. The ones she had seen the last week had definitely not been attractive male stars in make up. They had been very real and very deadly.

Her life had changed when she had met Buffy Summers. The beautiful blonde that had already stolen her best friend Xander's heart. The girl that actually wanted to be friends with her, Willow Rosenberg, queen of the geeks. Buffy had even given up a chance to befriend Cordelia to hang with them. The losers. Of course, Buffy wasn't the normal girl. She was a vampire slayer.

Buffy had saved her from the same fate that had befallen Jesse. Poor Jesse. Become a vampire and then poof, dust. He really was gone now. Her childhood was over. She stirred, noticing the sun was beginning to set. It wouldn't do to be caught in the cemetary after dark. Not after what she had seen. She stood, dusting the dirt off her knees.

Walking slowly, she became lost in her thoughts. She wasn't sure what was going to happen. Buffy had changed everything in her comfortable world. She knew nothing would ever be the same. She heard a noise behind her and turned, curiosity in her pretty green eyes.

"Hello" a soft voice said.

"Hi" Willow said, smiling. She didn't recognize this girl, but she seemed friendly enough.

"I was wondering if you could help me find my father's grave."

Willow glanced at the setting sun and then back at the girl. "Sure. It's going to be dark soon though. You don't want to be out here after dark."

"Really? I love the night. It's the time I can live." The girl answered, a frown on her face.

"Not around here....no living." Willow said, not wanting to say too much. "What's your Father's name?" She asked, moving underneath the tree closer to the girl.

"Not really sure..." the girl said, a smile crossing her lips.

"What? You don't know his name?" Willow said, feeling apprehensive.

"I just call him Master" the blonde girl said, smiling as she grabbed Willow tightly.

"Let me go!" Willow screamed, trying to pull free. The woman was strong.

"Nuh uh" she said, smiling as her fangs elongated. "I like you...I can sense your power...."

"NO!"

"Shh....it will be over soon...Then, you'll love the night too. We can hunt together and play together....the Master is going to love you. Seize the night, my Red. Oh, I've so wanted a daughter...."

"Who are you?" Willow asked, her voice shaky. She hoped Buffy would come to patrol. Maybe she could keep this woman talking until the slayer saved her.

"The name is Darla...but you can call me Mum" Darla said, sinking her teeth into the girl's neck. She drank steadily until the girl's heartbeat began to die. She slit her wrist, forcing her blood into the girl's open mouth. When she was sure it was time, she pulled away. She knelt, taking the girl into her arms. She smiled, brushing the red hair from the girl's pretty face.

The girl intrigued her. She had been watching her since she had first come to town to meet her Master. Watching and waiting. Now, it was time to claim what was hers. She was bored and wanted a companion. This girl would be her equal if not stronger. She could see it in her eyes. So much untapped strength. A formidable match for the slayer. Darla kissed the girl's forehead as she waited for her to awaken. Sunnydale was already looking better. She finally had a daughter.

**********

Willow opened her eyes, wondering where she was. Suddenly, visions of her past entered her mind. She felt something push them away as she sat up. She felt strong. Not the same weak Willow Rosenberg she had been. She heard a chuckle and looked, her eyes narrow. "Mum."

Darla smiled, "Darling. You're awake. How do you feel?"

"Hungry" Willow said, noticing the small differences. Her sight and hearing were amazing. She could smell something in the air. Something foul.

"The slayer" Darla hissed, standing. "Come my childe."

"She can't see me" Willow said, knowing that she had an advantage. The slayer didn't know she was a vampire. She followed her sire through the tombstones until they entered a crypt. "Why me?"

Darla looked at her, surprised. This girl wasn't acting like most fledges. She had collected her thoughts instantly. Darla felt proud of her youngest childe. "I wanted you."

Willow nodded, looking down at her body. It felt different. She closed her eyes as the hunger gnawed at her. "Need to eat. Think later."

Darla nodded, taking the girl's hand. "What's your name?"

"Willow" she replied. She took in every detail of the tunnel they were walking through. She saw vampires watching them, their expressions guarded.

"Willow...what a lovely name." Darla took Willow to her room, having her sit. "Lance, bring me something tender and fresh. My daughter is hungry."

Lance bowed his head as took off to find what Mistress Darla wanted. He had been around long enough to know that you didn't cross Mistress. Not if you wanted to see the moon again.

"So beautiful" Darla said, running a hand over Willow's pale face. "You have the honor of being my first childe in over a hundred years, my dear."

Willow looked at her, studying. She didn't trust her sire. There was something in the air. Of course, she didn't trust anyone. Too much knowledge. She knew somehow that she was different. She didn't imagine most newly sired vampires could remember so much about their pasts. She had eased into her new life easily. She felt nothing except hunger and curiosity. "Thank you mum."

Darla laughed, "Yes, I think I'll like you just fine. I shall teach you everything that I know. Soon, you will be third around here. I can see it in your pretty eyes."

"I shall make you proud mother." Willow said, feeling the urge to do just that. This woman had chosen her. No one had ever chosen her before...for anything. She wouldn't let Darla down.

"Yes, you shall. You shall meet your grandfather soon...after you've adjusted." Darla said, brushing the girl's long straight hair.

"The Master?" Willow said, remembering what name the girl had used earlier.

"Yes...My master and yours." Darla suddenly smiled, "We shall have to track down your older brother too. He'll love to meet you."

"Brother?" Willow asked, leaning into Darla's body as the elder vampire continued to caress her hair.

"Dear sweet Angelus. My favorite childe. Well, until now" Darla said, smiling at the girl. She began to explain the rules to Willow as she waited for Lance to return with food. She'd be gentle with the girl until she had adjusted. After that, she'd began to teach Willow everything the girl would need to know to survive forever. The girl was starting off well. The blood she had absorbed was very aged and powerful. At this moment, this fledge was stronger than even Darla's favorite, Angelus. The girl would have to learn how to use the power she had inherited. Darla had plans for them both. This girl would be her companion. Her daughter. Her partner.

Together, they could over ride the Master and take over Sunnydale. Darla smiled, a sinister gleam in her eyes. It wouldn't be long until they could rule the town from above. She so hated these sewers. She had been biding her time until she found the perfect childe. Now, she had her. So much power and knowledge. She looked up as Lance came in with two teenagers. Fresh and virginal. Perfect for her childe's first meal. She watched with maternal pride as Willow instinctively played with her food before feasting. Yes, Sunnydale was definitely looking more promising.

**********

Willow heard the soft knock and looked at the door. "Enter."

Darla came in, a smile on her pretty face. "Lovey, how are you today?"

"I hate these clothes, Mum" Willow said honestly. She glanced down at the overalls and pink shirt. "Do you have something I could borrow?"

Darla sat down on the bed, her eyes raking over her newest childe. "Nothing that would suit you, lovey. I know. We can go shopping. Get you something that is more you."

Willow smiled, a gleam entering her eyes, "Shopping? Really? Could we?"

Darla nodded, surprised at the girl's excitement. You'd think she had never been shopping before. There were so many things about her daughter she was learning. It had been a week since the redhead had been embraced...or, run away as her friends believed. The girl had suggested leaving a note for her friends so that they would think she had run away. Darla had been shocked that Willow had been thinking so far ahead. She was already very proud of the girl. "Yes, lovey. Shopping. You deserve it."

Willow smiled at the pride in her sire's voice. She had come to love Darla over the last week. The woman had been teaching her so many things. She felt confident and strong under her direction. Even the Master had been impressed with her progress. She didn't like the master. She had known instinctively when they had met that Darla wanted to rid the world of him. She could see it in her mum's face. She had begun that day to understand more about her new role. She was going to help overthrow the master and rule Sunnydale along with Darla. "Thank you Darla."

"What have I told you about that?" Darla scolded softly.

"Yes Mum" Willow corrected with a smile. She was happy. And, Darla had been right. She loved the night. She hated living underground. She couldn't wait until they could live topside. "Shall we have Luke create a diversion for the slayer and her friends?"

"That would be wise" Darla said, nodding thoughtfully. This girl was a thinker..a planner. She reminded her in some ways of her darling Angelus. Without a soul. She knew it wouldn't long before they could get rid of the master and take over. Most of the underlings followed her orders over his already and they had taken very well to the redhead. She knew she had the power now, she was just going to wait for the best time. "Ready, lovey?"

"Yes Mum." Willow said, standing. She hooked Darla's arm through hers, resting her head on her sire's shoulders. "Tell me about my niece and nephew again."

Darla chuckled as she began to regal Willow with accounts of her life before Sunnydale. The girl was on an endless quest for knowledge and just loved hearing about her sire's past. Darla was always willing to share. Thinking of William and Drusilla, Darla wondered if they'd be interested in coming to visit grandma after the Master was destroyed. She would love to introduce them to Willow. Smiling at the thought, she decided to track her wily grandson down. But, for now, she had a daughter to clothe and a slayer and son to avoid.

**********

"You look beautiful, lovey" Darla said, smiling at the redhead. "Leather becomes you."

Willow smiled at the praise. She ran a hand through her now shoulder length hair and let her eyes wander over her form. "You think so?"

Darla nodded, "Definitely. So, hungry?"

Willow shook her head, "Still all full. Could we walk, mum?"

Darla looked at her surprised, "Walk? What about the slayer?"

Willow chuckled, "We don't have to worry about her right now. Luke was taking several boys to play with her."

Darla laughed, "Ok lovey. Let's walk."

The two women began to walk, heading to the park. Darla listened as Willow told her about her mortal life. The poor thing didn't sound like had ever had parents. Only two friends to speak of. No wonder she had adjusted so easily to the family. It was probably the first one she had had. Darla knew something was different about this childe. Too many details remembered. Willow didn't seem to have the uncontrollable blood lust that many fledges had. In fact, she had a very definite control on her hunger.

There were other things Darla had seen in the redhead. Things that usually didn't evolve for years. It was almost as if some of her years had passed on to the girl. She was glad. Willow was turning out to be a true companion. Someone she could teach and nurture and enjoy. She so loved teaching. Angelus had learned everything he knew from her. The games, the torture, the malice. Of course, he had been a wicked youth when she had turned him. That coupled with what she had taught him had made him quite ruthless. He had taken it beyond any level she had ever known. Her baby boy, she remembered fondly.

She had seen him since she had been in Sunnydale. Helping the slayer of all people. He may have a soul, but he must also have a death wish. She still loved him dearly. He was her favorite childe, souled or not. She had no desire to see him killed because of some silly guilt curse. She had already put word out that he was protected by her. Anyone that touched him had to face her. She had gained many years of practice at making someone suffer. Of course, now, she was bored with it all. That's why she wanted Sunnydale. Power and her own feeding ground. The perfect combination for someone of her vast years. It was time to retire from the silly games.

Willow would be her coup de grace. The last childe she made for at least a hundred years. She hated making children. It was so difficult to find the right one. This time, as she had with Angelus, she had chosen wisely. Willow was more perfect than she had ever imagined. Beautiful, cunning, intelligent, and seductive. A perfect combination of beauty, skill and brains. She couldn't belive the idiot mortals had neglected such a fine specimen. Just went to show how little they truly knew.

"So, lovey. Who would you like to kill first?" Darla asked, smiling.

Willow thought about it. "No one yet. I want to remain unknown until I can face them all and win. Of course, there are several girls at school we can play with. Snobby damn bitches..."

Darla nodded, the wicked gleam in her eyes, "Let Mummy teach you how to make them scream.....they are ever so much fun when they scream."

Willow nodded, a curious look on her pretty face, "Teach me, Mum."

**********

Darla stood in the shadows, her eyes watching the activity around her. So many stupid children playing at being grown up. Why did they want to waste their childhood? Every year that passed she had noticed how much younger her victims were becoming. A few hundred years before she was lucky to find a lad of twenty two out carousing wantonly. Now, they were fifteen if they were a year. Her newest childe, her Willow, had just turned sixteen herself.

She watched them with a look of disgust. As she grew older, she had begun to pity these mortals. So self obsessed. She was actually doing them a favor by killing them. She had seen what morons they often grew up to be. She should be paid for doing the world a public service. Smiling at that thought, her attention was drawn to the reason she was in this smelly club in the first place. Angelus.

No, Angel, she corrected mentally. She let her eyes wander over his trim, muscular build. Still so handsome after two hundred some odd years. She had chosen very wisely. Of course, she had been initially attracted to his spirit..his looks...his intelligence..his pride. The very things that had gotten him cursed. That and his stubborness. Damn fool of a boy. He never listened to her. She had told him to leave those Roma alone. But no, he knew more than her. Ha. Which one of them had soul? Not her.

She watched as he watched the slayer. Her nose crinkled in disgust. He had always had a thing for slayers. She knew that might be her fault, but it didn't make it any easier to deal with. In the past, his obsession had resulted in several deaths. Now, this time, it might result in his own. That was the only reason she was seeking him out. That and her eternal love for her eldest childe. She moved to exit, knowing he would leave soon. They had to talk.

She wondered if he knew that she was even in town. She doubted it. She had kept that news very hush hush. That was how she had survived for eight hundred years. Well, that and a few other things. She had to speak to him privately. Somewhere she would not be observed. If the Master found out she was with Angelus, she would seal her fate immediately. Hers and her children.

She used the time waiting to think of her newest childe. Willow was doing remarkable. She had been eager to learn and was as creative as any vampire Darla had witnessed. Beauty, brains, and fire. A perfect combination. Darla could see a bright future for the girl...under the proper guidance of course. Darla smiled, wishing Angelus were truly still around. Those two would have made a perfect match. A look of cunning entered her eyes as she considered the possibilities. Maybe...laughing softly, she knew she would have to think of something. Her two favorite children mated. What better treat could a mother ask for?

She saw Angel leave the club, a dark brooding expression on his handsome face. Damn fool wouldn't relax. Curse or no curse, he needed a life. She began to follow him, seeing him tense as if he could feel her. Well, it had only been eighty years she had seen him last. Maybe he was allowing their connection in for once. She did hope he would be agreeable and listen to her. He was obstinate though. Always had been. Smiling as she fondly remembered other times she had had to force him to listen, she sighed lovingly. Of course, now, she would so hate to get blood on her new skirt. She smoothed the pleats as she hurried to catch up to him. There was much to discuss.

**********

Angel felt her before he saw her. He had known she was in town. Had felt the pull as soon as she stepped foot in Sunnydale. His sire. His lover. His mother. He turned, his face expressionless as he regarded the woman who had helped make him what he had been. A soulless, ruthless bastard.

"You felt me" Darla said, smiling slightly.

"What do you want?" Angel asked, his voice even.

"What? No hug and kiss? My dear boy, it's been eighty years." Darla said, laughing. "Not a good way to greet dear old mum."

"I don't want to play games right now. What do you want?" Angel asked again, his irritation beginning to show through the cold facade.

"We need to chat, my boy. Lovely apartment you have, I'm sure" Darla said, her eyes flashing annoyance when he failed to move inside. "Get your ass inside now."

Angel reacted to his sire's words, moving inside. Only once he was in the apartment did he feel silly for listening to her. He glared at her for making him betray his intentions. Darla had always managed to make him do what he didn't want to do. "Now, you're inside. What do you want?"

Darla sighed, "You should think of getting that emblazoned on a T-shirt or something. Then you can not even speak. Just point to your chest and spend the rest of the time brooding silently."

Angel felt anger swell inside him. Taking a calming breath, he just looked at her silently, not giving her the benefit of his emotions.

"See you are getting friendly with the slayer" Darla said conversationally.

Angel stiffened, looking at her beneath lowered lids. So that's what this was about. A warning not to assist the slayer against the master. He should have known. She wouldn't have come to see him without a reason. "Yes."

Darla shook her head slightly, "The master isn't happy. He has placed a bounty on her head as well as yours for aiding her."

"You're joking?" Angel said, upset. Suddenly, he looked at her, "Why are you telling me this?"

"Angelus, my love. You're my favorite childe. The eldest now. I selfishly don't want you dead" she said, her eyes serious.

"You know that with this information I can help save the slayer from the assassins." He said, watching her face.

She grimaced, "I would prefer that she die, but I know we need a slayer. She's as good as any. Not as good as I was, but, then again, none have been."

"Why?" Angel asked.

"I told you. I have plans for this town. I want you on my side...like it use to be. Slayer or no slayer, I will not allow that bastard to kill you." She added, her eyes ruthless.

Angel nodded, wondering why he felt grateful for her loyalty. He hadn't need his sire's approval for two hundred years. Yet, this was the first time they had spoken since that night...since the curse. He shook his head of the thoughts, smiling slightly, "Buffy is going to defeat him."

Darla regarded him carefully, "You think she is that good? I don't see it. They are so lax with training now. When I was called, I was ten. I had no chance to learn anything except fighting. I survived until I was twenty three. The oldest slayer still on record. She has none of my discipline..none of my intelligence. She seems strong, but she won't defeat the master. Not even I could do that....then."

Angel picked up on the last word. Looking at his sire more closely, he saw the plan in her eyes. She intended to kill the master herself. In some ways it seemed justified. His sire had been a slayer more than eight hundred years before. The final battle of her life had been against the Master. She had lost not only her life but her soul. A vampire slayer. The only one on record. Not something the council announced, if they were even aware of it anymore. That had been a very long time ago. Records had been lost. Her strength and slayer training had carried her through several centuries. "You plan to kill him."

"Yes. My daughter and I are going to take over Sunnydale" Darla said, smiling fondly at the thoughts of Willow.

"Daughter?" Angel said, looking surprised and a bit jealous at the loving way his sire spoke of her...this sister.

"My newest childe. Reminds me of you, my Angelus. She is very strong. Very young though. Only a few weeks old. But, give her time. She'll be as good as you ever were." Darla couldn't resist pricking that massive ego her son had. Smiling as he blanched, she added, "You'll have to meet her after the master is destroyed."

"Why are you telling me this?" Angel asked, ignoring her barb.

Darla sighed, "I miss you. I also know that I will be far nicer to this place than he would be. You have to make a decision my boy. Does the slayer back him or me? Which is the lesser of two evils?"

"She is a slayer. She'll kill you all." He said, rolling his eyes.

"We'll see" Darla said softly. "But, I must go. My lovey is waiting for me. It has been nice, my boy. You must not tell anyone we spoke. He'll kill me if he knew I warned you. This paper has the names of the demons he hired. Be careful. Protect your slayer while you can or he may try to make her like me. You don't want that."

"She isn't my anything, but I will help her kill him." Angel said, looking at her. He had no idea when he would see her again and wanted to remember her just in case it was another eighty years. Strangely, he had missed her too.

Darla kissed him gently before biting his lip. She licked his blood, a smile in her eyes, "If you change your mind about being by my side, you can find me. I'll introduce you to Lovey...you two would hit it off I know. Well, until we meet again, my Angelus. Forget we spoke."

Before Angel could respond, she was gone. He sat down, his mind thinking over what she had said. He took the piece of paper and put it on the table. Tomorrow, he would find Buffy and let her know the warning. They could prepare for the assassins and be ready and waiting.

He found himself wondering about this new sister of his. Darla seemed to like her, which was something unusual. He had been the only childe of his sire's that she had liked. Until this lovey came along. Shaking his head, he decided that he was not jealous. He was just trying to figure out if his sire was going to get herself killed for protecting him and if so why she would risk that. He laid down, thoughts whirling through his mind as he remembered what had been at one time.

**********

Willow hated when Darla left her alone. Not that she minded being alone. She didn't. But, she didn't like the master. Hadn't from the moment they had met. She hated the feeling that he was watching and listening to everything she did. She didn't trust him. She would be happy to see him die.

She had been a vampire for three weeks now. Her only friend, Xander, had no idea. She had written a run away note and packed some stuff so no one would suspect. She knew she wasn't strong enough to face the slayer. The girl that had been becoming her friend. She would wait until it was time before she made her appearance.

She knew where Darla had gone. Had known when she had been told to remain at the room. Darla had gone to see him, Angelus. Willow had found herself intrigued by the tails of her brother and his deeds. His story was tragic in some ways, in others it was rather justified. She knew Darla missed him. She often spoke of the old days when she, Angelus, William and Drusilla hunted and played together. Willow felt envious of those pleasurable times. Now, it was just her and Darla in a den of snakes. She didn't like any of the master's minions.

Willow stretched as she again wondered what had happened to make her what she was. The master had seemed very surprised at her progress. She felt the need for blood, but it wasn't very strong. Not in comparison to the others. She did love the power though. The strength she now had was worth dying to get. No longer would she be the weak one..the frail one...the one people feared would get hurt. Now she was the one doing the hurting. She loved that part of the game. The chase. It made her blood flow and her heart race. It almost made her feel alive again.

She looked up as the door opened. Darla came into the room, a smile on her face, "Why so sad Lovey?"

"Just thinking" Willow said. "Did you see him?"

Darla nodded, a far off look in her eyes, "Yes. He's still so handsome. So stubborn. I told him about you...he was interested and a bit jealous."

"Jealous? Of me?" Willow said, sitting up and putting her knee under her chin.

"Yes of you lovey. He knows his place as my favorite is being jeapordized. He doesn't like that....even if he hasn't truly been mine for hundreds of years. It was always his place. Now, he has to share. Angelus was never big on sharing affections."

"I'm one of your favorites?" Willow said, smiling at her sire.

"Yes silly. One of my very favorites." Darla said, ruffling the girl's hair and smiling, "I gave him the warning. We'll see what he chooses to do."

"Do you think he'll tell her?" Willow asked, refering to the slayer. She was interested in meeting this brother of hers. Darla had piqued her curiosity with all the stories of him.

"Yes. But, if it comes down to a decision, he'll choose me" Darla said.

"Are you sure?" Willow had to ask.

"Yes. He is still loyal to me, as I am to him. So, did you have fun this evening?"

"I hate this place. The master watches me...I don't like it." Willow said, making a face.

Darla stiffened, looking at her. "He watches you? How?"

"I don't know...." Willow said, "It's rather creepy."

"Fuck. He wants you. Damn him." Darla cursed. "I won't allow it."

"Wants? As in..." Willow shook her head, making a disgusted face. "Yuck."

"Pack your bag. We're leaving" Darla said. Seeing Willow's look of surprised, she sighed, "It wasn't what I planned, BUT I will not allow him to ruin you. I have plans for you my lovey. They don't include being beaten and raped by that bastard."

"Where will we go? He could come after us." Willow said, not wanting her sire in any danger.

Darla thought a moment, "He won't come after us....I almost beat him when I was alive. He's scared of me in many ways. We should be safe if I tell him I want to teach you above ground. Well, it looks as if you might be meeting your big brother sooner than I planned."

"We're going to stay with Angelus? Will he allow it?" Willow asked, packing up her new clothes.

"I'm his sire. He won't have a choice. Besides, he wouldn't turn us away. He might feel guilty" Darla spat out the last word, a reminder of the terrible curse that had befallen her eldest. She looked at Willow and knew the girl was curious, "Sorry, lovey. I just want to get you away from the Master. He's not going to hurt you."

"Of course Mum. I trust you." Willow said, smiling. "Now, shouldn't you pack too?"

Darla laughed, "Yes. I'll meet you here after dawn. We can leave while the others sleep. There is a tunnel that runs to Angelus's apartment. We can make it safely with no worries."

"See you at dawn, Mum" Willow said, finishing packing her bag as her sire left. She felt herself pitying her brother. Poor Angelus. He really had no option to turn them away...not matter how much he might want to. She felt a shiver of anticipation at finally being able to meet the man though. She wondered if he was as attractive as Darla had said. Knowing her sire, probably more so. She began to hum softly as she finished packing the bag. She couldn't wait to meet him.

**********

Angel heard a noise coming from his closet and stiffened. He reached across his table for the stake he kept for emergencies. He moved silently from the bed, crouching in the darkness of his room as he listened to the shuffling coming from his closet.

"Damn it. Why does he have so many clothes? He never wears anything but the black anyway."

Angel dropped the stake, scowling as he swung the closet door open. "Darla. Would you mind telling me why you're in my closet?"

"Don't ask silly questions boy. Help me out of this damn hole." Darla cursed, her white shirt now a dingy brown from the journey through the sewers.

Angel fought the urge to leave her there but finally gave up. He reluctantly held his hand out to her, lifting her easily into his bedroom. She glanced at him, her eyes roaming over his frame. She smiled as she reached back into the hole and helped someone up. Angel watched curiously, wondering what she was doing.

Angel saw a bright flash of red hair as Darla walked back into the bedroom pulling someone behind her. "Lovey, meet Angelus. Angelus, meet your little sister."

Willow looked up, her eyes widening as she realized the man was nude. She then realized that he was the most gorgeous male specimen she had ever seen. She felt something stir inside her as she met his dark brown eyes.

Angel's smirk died as he found himself looking into beautiful green eyes. Intelligent eyes that were watching him curiously. He couldn't move, not wanting to break the contact he had made with this magnificent creature. His sister? Hardly. His demon strained at its cage. She was going to be his.

"Well, this is interesting." Darla said, a smile on her pretty face as she watched them react to each other. She had known when she had first seen the girl that she was meant for Angelus. Such fire..such cunning..there was only man that could tame her. The master was foolish for even thinking himself good enough for her Willow. She had always been for Angelus.

"Why are you here?" Angel asked, his voice low and threatening as he kept his eyes the girl's face. It was hard to believe such an innocent looking girl was his sire's latest childe. He saw the hidden fire in the green eyes and realized that maybe it wasn't so astonishing.

"My dear Angelus, I so love your lack of modesty, but Lovey here isn't use to men. Why don't you put something on." Darla said, glancing pointedly at Angel's half erect cock.

Angel frowned at her before looking down. Had he been able, he might have blushed. He had been so absorbed in his new sister that he hadn't realized he was still naked from sleeping. He did as his sire told him, again wishing he could just tell her off. But, his loyalty her was too strong. He zipped his pants, leaving his chest bare. "So, why are you here?"

Darla sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes watching her children with amusement. Both were trying to act as though the other weren't there. Such silly things. In her day, she'd have already been shagging like crazy. Stubborn fools. Too much alike in some ways. "The master was after my Lovey. We had to leave."

"The Master wanted you?" Angel asked the girl, curious to hear her voice.

"Yes. He was always watching me..." Willow said softly, her voice husky.

Angel nodded, looking back at Darla. "And you came to me. Why?"

"Wasn't anyone else" Darla said simply. "I trust you with my life. I trust you my Lovey's life. The master won't come after us but I'd rather be safe than sorry."

Angel sighed, running a hand through his hair, "So you want to stay here. Damn it, it's been eighty years. Nothing from you. Not a single word. And now twice in twenty four hours. Both times wanting something."

"We don't have anywhere else to go" Willow said calmly. She found herself attracted to this man in a way she had never felt before. He scared her on one level, yet on another he excited her. She wanted to explore those feelings, if she were allowed.

"Angelus, I won't force it. If you refuse, I will take Lovey back to the Master and let him have her. The only way he can have her is with my permission."

"No!" Angel hissed, not wanting that beast to touch this girl. "Fine. You can both stay. I have one extra bedroom."

"Thank you" Darla said the words for the first time in many many years. She saw Angelus' shocked look as she took Willow's hand. "Come lovey. We shall see our new home."

"Wait...is that it?" Angel asked, wondering why he felt rather neglected suddenly. Usually Darla would have wanted to play with him at the least. Now, she was simply walking away...with his new sister. Jealous reared its head as he said, "Let the kid find her own way. We have lots to discuss Mum."

Willow froze, hearing his sarcastic tone. She turned, her eyes blazing, "I am not a kid."

"Sure acting like one" he taunted, a smile crossing his handsome face.

"Me? That's rich. What, dear brother? Mad that you've been replaced? That you're no longer her favorite?" Willow tauned back, seeing him blanch and she knew she had struck home with that one.

"Listen here, BABY sister, I'll always be the best. Learn that now and we won't have any problems. If you push me, you'll learn it the hard way."

"Please. Don't threaten me, OLD man. You might used to have been the best, but well, we see who she wants now don't we?" Willow grinned triumphantly.

"Old? Who are you calling old, you whelp? Immature little girl" Angelus threw back at her. He hadn't felt this good in years. He leaned back against his bed as Lovey sat in a chair. They continued arguing about who had Darla's affections the most now.

Darla watched them both argue and felt a rush of motherly pride. These were her children. The heat they were giving off was amazing. She chuckled as she realized it wouldn't take very much time before they exploded from the intensity of it. Yes, she had chosen wisely. She left the room going to see her new home. Let them argue for a bit. It was probably the closest Angel had been to expressing something other than guilt for years.

He needed some excitement in his life. Well, he had them both now. She smiled as she heard the shouts getting louder as the taunting grew almost viscious. Yes, definitely made for each other. She went to the bedroom and laid down, her mind rethinking her plans to adjust to the new situation. Things would work out even better now, she knew. She had her Angelus and her Willow by her side..where they belonged.

**********

Willow couldn't believe that she'd ever found Angel attractive. He was a loud jerk. So suave and charming it was nauseating. Just like those boys back in school that had ignored her. She detested him because she knew that Darla loved him and had for over two hundred years. He never missed a chance at rubbing her nose in their shared past. To think she had almost wanted him.

Angel glared at Willow. He had found out her name two days after they had moved in with him. He had also learned that, while alive, she had been friends with Buffy and Xander. That had surprised him. There was a lot about her that surprised him. She nothing like any fledge he'd ever seen. Her maturity was that of someone his age. He hated that. To think he had wanted her when they had first met. He had been without a woman for too long, he decided. That little girl wouldn't best him.

Darla walked into the room, noticing the tension. Two silly children. Spending all their time arguing and glaring instead of fucking like crazed animals. What was she going to do with them? She sat down, her eyes on Angel, "So, the slayer defeated the assassins."

"Yes. She was hurt a bit but should be fine. Xander is watching after her."

"Xander...and Buffy?" Willow asked, curious despite herself. Xander had been her only friend when she was turned. Had been since they were five.

"Yes. After your 'death' they turned to each other. They are quite happy, for a slayer and a moron." Angel added.

"Xander was not a moron!" Willow defended, "He was just misunderstood."

Angel snorted, "Misunderstood my ass. He's an airhead."

"Mum, may we hunt?" Willow asked, ignoring him. She was not going to give him the satisfaction of winning another argument that night.

"No hunting" Angel said, his eyes looking at Darla.

"Now, my boy. We have to feed. Unlike some, we can not survive on pig's blood." Darla said sweetly.

"No. I will not condone you two killing innocent people." Angel insisted.

"Who said anything about innocent?" Willow asked, smirking.

"You will not kill while living under my roof, young lady!" Angel roared at her.

"Fuck you. You aren't my father" Willow hissed back. "Come along Mum. I want to kill something."

"Sit down" Angel said, his voice dark and low as his eyes stared at her.

"Maybe I can find my old friend Xander. Take away someone the slayer loves" Willow taunted, knowing that even if she were a vampire she would never harm Xander. Luckily, Angel had no idea of her loyalty to the boy.

"Sit down, Willow" Angel said again, his tone threatening. "You are too reckless...some one needs to teach you control....SIT DOWN!"

"Make me" Willow said, sticking her tongue out at him. She turned to Darla, "May we go now Mum?"

Darla saw the look that had entered Angel's eyes and knew her youngest childe had gone too far. It was time. Finally. Shaking her head softly, she stood. She kissed Willow's cheek. "I'll be back tomorrow evening, lovey. You two kids behave."

Willow looked at Darla in surprise, "What? I'm coming too. You can't leave me here!"

Willow watched as Darla just smiled at her, a proud look in her eyes as she looked back at Angel. Willow felt a rush of anxiety cross her. Darla was leaving her...with him. She heard the sinister chuckle as the door shut. She moved quickly, trying to reach it before he got her. Too soon, his hard body was holding her from behind.

Angel pulled Willow into him. He tried to ignore his body's reaction to her, knowing he detested her. But, it wouldn't listen. At the smell of her..the feel of her..he hardened instantly. He moved his head beside her ear and whispered, "What was that about making you, little girl? I'd say that, right now, I could make you do anything I wanted, Willow. Want to test that theory?"

Willow heard his words and her demon reacted. She pushed back against him, catching him off balance. He toppled to the floor, his arms still around her. She fell on top of him, his grip loosening. She moved quickly, facing off against him. She wiped the blood from her mouth where she had hit the corner of the table.

"Come on, old man. Can dish it out, but you can't take it?" she taunted, an energy racing through her as they faced off.

Angel roared, getting to his feet and staring at her. "You bitch. You made me bleed."

"Uh oh...poor wittle boy hurt himself" she said with a smirk. Angel moved, heading towards her. She moved out of his way, his hand grabbing the ends of her hair. She yelped as he pulled her back against him. "What was that little girl?"

Willow brought her foot up from the back, hitting him between his legs. He gasped, letting her go as he cradled his injured anatomy. She smiled at the look of retribution in his dark eyes. She ran into his bedroom, closing the door behind her. She looked for a weapon to aid her, but there was nothing.

Angel stood, his demon in full face. He had to dominate the bitch. She hadn't learned her place yet. He moved, trying to open the door. She'd locked it. He calmed down, his handsome features replacing the fangs. He kicked the door, wood splintering as he walked into his bedroom. "Baby girl's been naughty...now she has to pay."

Willow looked up, her eyes wide with excitement and desire at their game. She looked for a way to escape but there wasn't one. She saw him smirk as she realized she'd backed herself into a corner. Damn arrogant bastard. She wanted to wipe that smug look off his face. "Come and get me."

Angel felt his cock harden at her words. He was more turned on than he had been in years. He had forgotten how fun the chase was. She had reminded him of what he had used to be. He didn't like that. He hadn't felt so normal since the damn curse, eighty years before. He could smell the blood dripping from the cut on her lip. He licked his lips, moving towards her silently.

Willow caught his eye and couldn't move. The desire she saw there froze her on the spot. She couldn't believe that this man...this heavenly man....wanted her. She wondered if he would ever have even noticed her before her change. Probably not. He'd have been wrapped up in Buffy or someone equally charming and beautiful. Her turning had allowed her true instincts out to play. She waited until he was almost to her before she moved. She was over the bed in moments.

Angel caught her half way across. He tumbled to the bed, her soft body in his arms. He pushed her against the mattress, his voice purring as he said, "I win, little girl."

Willow heard his triumphant words and felt something snap. She bucked against him, his hard body not allowing her to move. Groaning, she collected all the power she had inside and thrust up. She sent him onto his back on the matress. She straddled him, her hands holding his against the sheets. She smirked at him, loving the dark look in his eyes as he realized she had bested him. She leaned down, her hair brushing against his chest as she whispered in his ear, "Sorry, pops. This time, I win." Giving in to temptation, she moved to his mouth, her mouth taking his roughly. He groaned, kissing her back fiercely. Willow melted against him as he deepened the winning kiss she had claimed.

Angel couldn't believe she, some fledge not even a month old, had beaten him. He was over two hundred fifty yet he had fallen like a new born. He felt her tongue run along his lips, her teeth biting his lower lip and sucking on the drops of blood. He whimpered slightly, pushing up against her. She was so very strong. He was more excited than he could ever remember being in the last century at least. He couldn't move his arms at all, she had them pinned at his side. The power was coming off of her waves and it excited him. He loved the game...had missed it more than he had ever realized.

Willow was having fun. She had him completely at her mercy. She had never felt so much strength. She loved the taste of his blood. So rich..so strong. She let her tongue slide into his mouth, her fingernails digging into his wrists. She heard him whimper like a puppy and smiled against his lips. She had caused that. The thought made her even more wet than she had been. She pulled her mouth free, her eyes taking in his bloodied lip, the lust filled dark gaze that watched her cautiously, the flare of his nostrils as his arousal completely took over his entire being. She stood up, her eyes running lazily over him. "Strip."

Angel sat up, his tongue running over his lower lip. He heard her demand and contemplated refusing. He saw the look of desire in her green eyes along with something much more interesting. Love. She had affection for him. He wondered when that had happened. The connection between them, Darla's blood, pulled at him and he knew he would not...could not..refuse. He stood, his eyes not leaving hers. He pulled the shirt over his head, revealing his muscular chest. He saw her eyes wander over him and felt pride at the arousal he saw. He smirked at her as he began to unfasten his pants. He let them fall, lifting first one leg and then other until they lay on the floor. His cock stood out proud, hard and aching. He resisted the urge of taking her and waited...wanting to see what the next step of the game was.

Willow would have smiled at the vision of this handsome man nude except black socks wanting her. She smiled, the control she had over him surprising her. From what she had heard, Angelus always wanted to be in control. The soul must have lightened him up a bit. She moved close to him, her hand running over his chest. She let her fingers play in the small scatterring of hair that led down to his thick cock. She saw him stiffen his body as her fingernails ran along his length.

She allowed one to wipe the drop of liquid from his tip. She brought that finger to her mouth, her eyes still searing into his. She licked it clean, making appropriate sounds to let him know she enjoyed his taste. She saw his eyes darken and knew she was pushing him...pushing the master demon known as Angelus. She loved riding this edge. Not knowing when it would finally be too much. His own self control was amazing. She hoped one day to have his discipline.

"Strip me" she ordered huskily, her eyes shining with mischief. That night she would lose her virginity to Angel. To her mum's favorite childe...her older brother. It somehow seemed unavoidable. They were meant for each other. Darla had seen that. It had just taken them a bit longer to realize it. The room was filled with electricity and heat. It amazed her that two cold creatures such as themselves could give off so much heat. She was on fire from his eyes...from his touch. She was wet and waiting for his claiming...when she allowed it. She saw him look at her unsure, as though he hadn't heard her correctly. She smiled softly, her eyes burning into his, "Strip me."

Angel smiled seductively as he moved forward. He had seen a brief flash of uncertainty in her green eyes. He had forgotten for a moment that she was a virgin. She had chosen him as her first. His cock throbbed even more at that knowledge. He would teach her everything she needed to know about passion, pleasure and pain. He let his hand move to her shirt, his fingers brushing against her breasts, still covered by the material. He saw her watching him curiously, her eyes not leaving his hands.

He unbuttoned the first button, her pale flesh coming into view. He allowed his finger to brush against her bare skin and was rewarded with a soft moan. Smiling, he went to the next button and then the next. Soon, her graceful neck was bared to him. He leaned over, his lips brushing against the skin he was baring. He heard her draw in an unnecessary breath and almost chuckled. He was getting to her all right. He continued unbuttoning her shirt, his lips blazing a heated trail across her stomach and chest. He stood, pushing the shirt from her shoulders.

Her breasts were bound in a beige lacey bra. Deciding not to do what she expected, he moved his fingers to her jeans. Her eyes widened as her nipples hardened even more. He unzipped the jeans, the sound the only thing that broke the silence of the room. He slid the jeans down her long legs and threw them behind her. Standing back, he looked at her. Beautiful. Slim and graceful. Her breasts were not big, but the perfect fit for his hand...or his mouth. Her flat stomach quivered slightly as he took his time with his appraisal. He could smell her arousal, the aroma permeating the room. He knelt in front of her, his mouth moving to the juncture between her thighs. He enhaled deeply, the scent sweet and husky.

Willow was amazed at how sensual he had turned in the simple act of removing her clothes. She was still wearing her bra and panties but he had looked at her as if she was nude. She felt her breasts ache as he moved his face closer to her wet passage. She felt his silky brush against her stomach and whimpered. She wanted him. She felt his fingers brush against her skin as he began to leisurly slide her panties down her legs. She was barely able to stand, her knees weak from his caresses. She suddenly gasped as she felt his tongue swipe across her clit. Her hands went to his head to steady herself, entwining themselves in his dark hair. She murmered incoherantly as he began to feast on her juices. The tension inside her snapped as she came with a shout, her body thrusting against his face.

Angel had never tasted anything so intoxicating. He continued to lick her, not wanting to move from this position. He felt her grip tighten on his hair as she began to groan from his tongue and his finger's activities. With each sound she made, his cock throbbed even more. He was the first person to make her feel like this. It delighted him in a way that should have frightened him. His past was gone with the curse yet she made him feel more like a true vampire than he had in decades. He loved her for that.

He stood, his face covered in her juices. He saw her eyes half closed, passion fogging them as they focused on him. He kissed her, pulling her against his nude body. Her breasts strained against the bra, the material rubbing against his chest. He ripped the offensive material away, enjoying the feel of her cold breasts pressed against his chest. Their tongues danced as he moved her to the bed. It was time to take what was his. He had taken back control of the game.

**********

Willow fell to the bed, laughing softly as she moved up until her head rested on the pillow. She watched him, waiting. Her entire body was aching for his touch. She felt his lips brush against the sole of her foot and moaned softly. Why didn't he just take her? She was ready...he was ready...Oh, lordy...his mouth was talented. She cried out as he again sought the center of her. Her legs spread allowing his large body to settle between them. He lazily licked at her cunt, his fingers brushing across her clit. He was playing with her, the damn bastard. She smiled, her eyes lit with desire and amusement.

Angel moved his face between her thighs, his eyes watching her face. Before, he had been unable to see her face during her orgasm. He wanted to watch her cum. He let his tongue slide into her, her juices dripping rapidly from her excitement. He thrust two fingers into her, groaning at the tightness. Soon, he would be buried inside that tight channel. He added another, seeing her face began to tense up. She was close. He began to move his tongue move rapidly, dancing across her clit as she shattered. He smiled with masculine pride at the emotions flickering over face. He had seen her demon come out, the greatest compliment he could have received.

Willow felt him shirt on the bed. His arm went around her waist, drawing her close to him. She felt his cock rub against her cunt, sliding into her cleft as she thrust against him. His mouth claimed hers as he ran a hand over her aching breast. His fingers played with her nipples and he began to thrust against her, never entering her. He pulled back, his hand running tenderly over her face. "What do you want, little girl?"

"You...Fuck me, Angel" Willow begged, her need overpowering her thirst for dominance. She saw the triumph flash in his dark eyes and knew she had lost this game. She felt the tip of him slide into her and rethought that. She hadn't lost...she had just conceeded defeat. She gasped as he entered her completely, stretching her farther than she had ever stretched before. She felt him push past her virgin barrier and knew that he had taken her. She saw the possessive look flash in his eyes as he kissed her, allowing her to get use to him. She arched against him, her fingernails digging into his back. He chuckled knowing what she wanted.

Angel began to thrust into her, fast and pounding. His hands raked over her breasts, kneading them and twisting. He let his game face appear as he began to run his fangs over her neck and breasts. She cried out in pleasure at his rough behaviour, her legs wrapping around his waist and urging him deeper. He felt her bite into his shoulder, her tongue lapping at the blood as she tightened around him. Groaning, he buried himself inside her, his seed flowing rapidly. He bit into her neck deeply, claiming her as his.

Willow looked at Angel, a smile on her face. His eyes darkened as he watched her. "Mine" he said simply.

"Mine" she repeated, letting her fingers trace the bite she had placed on his shoulder.

He growled softly as she tried to push him off of her. She glared at him, seeing the amusement light in his eyes. "You're heavy. Move."

"Like it here" he said softly, nuzzling his mark on her neck. He had never felt happier. The guilt he had felt for so many years was fading away as he felt his own control coming back. He knew he would still not kill innocents, but he was no longer going to live in the past. There was too much to enjoy in the present...and he also now had a future to look forward to. With his sire and Willow.

"Angel" Willow whined, "You're squashing me."

"Quit whining little girl" he threatened, moving his hardening cock slightly inside her. He was rewarded by a sigh of pleasure from her.

"Don't call me little girl" she said, wrapping her legs back around his waist and moving up to meet him.

"Quit acting like one" he taunted, driving deep inside her.

"Shut up and fuck me" she demanded, her eyes flashing with lust and anger.

"My pleasure...." he said, licking her lips, "Little girl."

**********

Willow stretched on the sofa, her body aching pleasurably. She was covered in bites and bruises from her mate. The word sent a thrill through her. She had never imagined anything this fantastic happening to her. They had spent the entire night and day talking and fucking and playing. She had won several times, making him beg. Now, they were dressed and waiting for their mum to arrive. She felt his hand on her neck and looked up. Smiling, she kissed his hand, "Evening love."

Angel smiled at her, motioning for her to move up. He sat on the couch behind her, her body laying between his open legs. She smelled like apples, blood and sex. The most erotic scent he could imagine. He licked her ear, trying to see what she was reading. "Woke up with out you...didn't like it."

"Quit pouting" she said, smiling up at him and kissing him roughly. "You were out cold."

He snorted, "Some one wouldn't let me sleep last night."

"Who ever could that have been?" she asked innocently.

"Whatcha reading?" he asked, knowing it was useless to argue with her.

"Something Mum gave me...an old slayer text." She said.

"Is it interesting?" he asked.

"Some of it is....some of it isn't. It has some things we might be able to use against the Master." She added.

"Let's not discuss that now" Angel said, still not entirely convinced that his sire and his mate could defeat the Master. Well, they wouldn't be alone. Not now. He would fight with them. He even imagined he could convince Buffy that they were on her side and get her assistance. Having two slayers, even if one was dead, might makes things a bit more fair.

Darla opened the door, walking in. She smiled as she saw them on the couch. Their claims were still fresh and rather powerful. She moved to sit down, smiling at the thought that they hadn't even seen her yet.

"MUM!" Willow said, smiling as she noticed the blonde watching them.

"Lovey...from the looks of things I'd say you two didn't behave" Darla said, smirking.

"Oh, we behaved...quite well" Angel said lazily, his hand on Willow's stomach.

Darla laughed, happy to see signs of her Angelus appearing more prominantly in the souled vampire. "Good to see that once again, mother knows best."

"Quit gloating" Angel said, rolling his eyes.

"Thank you, Mum" Willow said sweetly.

"Mother's girl" Angel whispered in her ear sarcastically.

"Children!" Darla said with a smile. "I'll have you both know that while you two spent the evening in bed...." She glanced around noticing the broken dishes "And other places....I was rethinking our plan."

"Really? What did you decide?" Willow asked, turning so that her head rested on Angel's bare chest.

"I called in some reinforcements....also decided that it might be time to make a deal with the slayer and her gang. I don't mind making a few concessions if it means that bastard is gone and I can have this lovely town."

Angel nodded, glad to see his sire was still intelligent. He had wondered when she would realize she would have to make a deal with Buffy. He also wondered if Buffy would be willing to make a deal. Thinking about it, he decided there was a good chance. If Darla made a promise, she would die to insure that it was kept. Having a Master on the side of the slayer might keep things in Sunnydale under control. It was definitely worth a shot. "I can set up a meeting at your convenience."

Darla smiled largely, knowing that Angel was going to stand by her side. She looked at Willow and then back at her oldest childe. Well, by their sides. She laughed, knowing the master wouldn't stand a chance. It was now just a waiting game. She did so love games. "So, tell me...what did you two do last night?"

Willow laughed as Angel rolled his eyes. "Still the voyuer, aren't you Mum?"

Darla just laughed, "Fine. This time you can keep your secrets. May I ask, though, what shall we do this evening?"

"I think I'd like to talk...about the past" Angel said softly. He caught his sire's eyes and saw the surprise there. He tightened his hold on Willow. He hadn't dealt with the past since the curse. It was time to resolve it all and move on. He had a future to consider now. "Then...you can tell us about this plan."

**********

Darla looked around the house, taking in every detail. She liked it. A lot. She heard a giggle and knew that Angel and Willow must be finding their own fun. Those two made her very happy. It had been a week since their mating. A week since Angel had talked to them both, allowing his past to finally leave him. He no longer felt the constant guilt that he had. For that, she had to thank Willow.

They had moved into the house three days before. Angel's small apartment was not big enough for them. She knew they needed more space. So, she had managed to aquire a lovely ten bedroom mansion on the outskirts of town. The sewers ran directly under the house allowing them access to most of Sunnydale without having to be right in town. She loved the place. Willow had immediately begun to make the mansion a home for them. Darla smiled as she thought about her son and daughter. Together, they were so strong. She was very lucky to have them both on her side and not against her.

"Mum..." Willow called out as she walked into the elegant living room. She saw Darla turn and look at her, "I've finished with the guest rooms. You needed two?"

"Yes Lovey. And you did make one up beside your and Angel's room?"

Willow nodded, still not sure why her sire had made that unusual request. "Yes. It connects with a door. I left it unlocked as you specified."

"Good." Darla saw the confusion on Willow's face and smiled, "You'll understand soon enough, Lovey. Company is coming."

Willow nodded, "I know. I can't wait to meet your friends. They are going to help us defeat the master?"

"You betcha Red. The master is toast" a cocky voice said from the doorway.

Willow looked over and froze. A man that could be Angel's equal in stunning looks stood there. His blue eyes smiled at Darla before moving to rake over her body. She noticed a brunette standing beside him, her lovely face smiling also at Darla. She couldn't drag her eyes away from the man. She felt a pull to them both and suddenly realized who they were.

"Grandmother!" the woman came forward, holding Darla tightly.

The man smirked, tearing his heated gaze from Willow and went to Darla, "How are you old woman?"

"Spike! I am so glad you could make it" Darla said, hugging her favorite grandchilde tight. "Come. Meet your Mum."

Spike's brow lifted as he again looked at the beautiful redhead. He caught the scent and knew that Angelus had claimed her. Smiling slightly, he took her hand and kissed it, "It's a pleasure, Mum."

"You're our Mummy?" the woman asked, stepping forward and looking at her curiously. She suddenly smiled, "Yes, you're our Mummy."

Willow felt herself pulled into the woman's embrace. Drusilla. Her niece. She caught flashing blue eyes and suddenly understood why Darla had set the room up next door to her and Angel. Spike. Angel's lover...friend...favorite childe. She felt something close to jealousy pull at her but she ignored it. She was Angel's mate. She wasn't scared of something mischievious blonde....even if he did look at her like his sire did. She pulled back and smiled at Drusilla, "I guess I am your Mother."

Angel stood in the doorway, his eyes taking in the scene. He should have known who Darla would call. He had probably tried to ignore it, hoping he would be wrong. His eyes raked over Spike, desire twisting in his heart. The only other person who could ever affect him. He looked at Willow then back at Spike. His two greatest loves in one room. This should be interesting, he thought ruefully as he stepped inside and went to Willow's side. He had seen the desire in Spike's eyes as he looked at the redhead. Time to remind his son that she was his.

"Angel." Willow said softly, kissing him. He moved behind her, his arm going around her waist.

"Dru. You look beautiful Princess" Angel said smiling at the girl he had broken and driven insane. He did love her though. "Spike. It's been a long time."

Spike steeled himself, looking into his sire's eyes. "Eighty years, three months and five days. Give or take. Nice to see you not so guilt ridden, Peaches."

Angel saw the betrayal and distrust in his childe's eyes and cursed softly. So much had happened between the two of them back then. So many things left unsaid. He tightened his arm around Willow, "Did you meet my Willow?"

Spike smiled as he heard the slight warning. Ooh..daddy had his panties in a wad. He let his eyes rake over his mum and smirked, "We met. Though, I'm sure we have loads to discuss. Don't we Mum?"

Willow watched him carefully. She knew the history between the two men and had no desire to get in the middle of their problems. They would have to argue that one out without her. Thoughts of getting in the middle of them suddenly made her blood heat up. She shook those naughty thoughts from her mind, knowing she was as insatiable as Angel often teased her to being. "Actually, William. I think you and Angel need to talk."

"Fuck that" he said, lighting a cigarette.

"If we are to fight the master, we can't have some stupid disagreement between the two of you hindering our team." Willow said sharply. She looked at Angel, "Take hm upstairs and get this worked out...however you need to. Don't come downstairs until you two are as close as you used to be."

Angel heard the tone of her voice and knew not to argue. He saw Spike smirk as he went to the stairs. Let the boy realize who he was dealing with. As it were, Willow was absolutely right. They couldn't be a team with this between them.

Willow looked at Spike and saw the refusal in his eyes. She moved close to him, letting her hand drift down his chest. She saw arousal flare in those lovely blue eyes and smiled. "If you get things worked out with him....maybe we can all play together sometime...." She saw his nostril flare and laughed huskily as she caressed his crotch. She squeezed suddenly, making him curse, "Get that cute pale ass upstairs and take care of your little issues. I don't want to be bored with them again. Got it?"

Spike nodded, his cock throbbing from her display. He smiled slightly, "Got it."

"Good. Now go...don't want to keep Daddy waiting...he becomes a growly bear" she said, kissing his cheek. "Remember what I said..." she whispered in his ear as she let her fingers again trace his cock. She heard Darla laugh as she took Drusilla to sit down. Her sire was use to her by now.

He moved to the staircase, "What a woman." He said softly, laughing as he took the stairs two at a time to find his sire.

**********

Spike felt the pull of his sire as he made his way down the hall. He stood in the open doorway, his eyes raking over the man that he had once known better than himself. He saw Angel turn and face him. Smiling, he leaned against the wooden frame. "She sure is something else."

"Yes, she is" Angel said, pride in his voice. He bragged further, "And she's less than two months old."

Spike's eyes widened in astonishment, "That young? What the bloody hell will she be like in a hundred years?"

"I can't wait to find out" Angel said softly.

Spike turned his attention to his sire, "Been awhile, mate."

"Too long" Angel said, grimacing.

"Wasn't me" Spike said, lighting another cigarrette. The action was out of habit more than need. Somehow smoking eased his nervousness around Angelus. It also gave him something to do with his hands.

"I know" Angel said. "I just couldn't be around you. See what I had made you into. See the pity in your eyes."

"Always about you, isn't it? Bloody wanker. Do you think it was easier not knowing where you were? The curse wasn't fun, but we could have dealt. You just didn't give me a chance."

"I couldn't deal. How could you?" Angel asked. "It took me eighty years to get my shit together. I couldn't have you and Dru be my damn nursemaids during the nightmares and the memories."

"Ya didn't say goodbye" Spike said softly. He looked at his sire, his eyes unreadable. "One night you're in my bed. The next time I see you, eighty years have passed."

"I couldn't" Angel said, looking towards the window. His feelings for Spike had come back full force at the first sight of the blonde in the sitting room. Willow had been right to make him deal with them immediately. He was too good at running from things now. "I loved you."

Spike snorted, "So you left. Makes since Peaches."

"I left because of that love. I hate pity. I hated the idea that you would grow to resent me. You know that I haven't fed on a human since the night of the curse, don't you?" Angel asked.

Spike shrugged, "So? Killing ain't all that fun anymore."

"That's not how you thought back then" Angel pointed out.

Spike scowled as he threw the butt on the ground. He ground it out and glared at his sire, "Fine. I understand. I probably would have grown to despise you. Happy now? You were right and I was wrong. Just like always."

"I'm not happy. Well, I'm happier than I have been in many years. Willow is good for me. But, I miss you." Angel said honestly.

Spike sneered, "Ah, isn't that touching. Must have memorized a bleeding hallmark card."

Angel felt irritation that Spike refused to see his point of view. He moved quickly, pulling the younger man into his arms. His mouth claimed his childe's roughly. Spike pushed against him before his hands drew his sire closer. That was the past. Nothing could change what had happened.

Willow smiled from the doorway as she watched her mate kissing Spike. Liquid shot between her legs as the kiss deepened. She saw Angel's hands begin to unfasten Spike's shirt and moved into the room for a better seat. She didn't mind Spike joining them. He was, after all, the other love in her mate's heart. He was also very good looking. She sat in the chair and watched the two men begin a game they hadn't played in many years.

**********

Spike had felt Willow when she entered the room. Even now, her arousal filled the air. He felt Angel's mouth on his and wondered if he was making a mistake. It had been eighty years and here he was falling right back into the same pattern. But, damn it, he'd missed his sire. Missed the touching...the talks...the closeness. He made his decision. He pulled back slightly, his blue eyes staring into brown ones. "Don't think this wipes the slate cleans."

Angel smiled at the stubborn look in Spike's eyes, "Too many years to make up for...that will take some time."

Spike nodded before smiling, "Doesn't mean we can't shag until it's resolved."

Angel laughed, the husky sound filling the room. He noticed Spike moving to his knees. He caught the blonde vampire, seeing startled eyes look at him. Speaking softly, he said, "I'm not him."

Spike was confused. He always had to give Angelus a blow job before they could play together. It was the only real show of dominance that Angelus insisted upon. Always. "What?"

Angel pulled Spike to his feet, pushing the blonde to a sitting position on the bed. "I'm not Angelus."

Spike realized that what his sire said was true. The small changes were noticable. He watched wide eyed as his sire knelt before him. Large hands unzipping his jeans and freeing his aching cock. He closed his eyes and moaned when Angel took his length in his mouth. He hastily removed his shirt, falling back on the bed as Angel licked and sucked his cock. It had been too long.

Willow stood, her clothes falling to the floor as she walked to the bed. She crawled onto the mattress, her mouth finding Spike's. Her nephew smiled at her as he kissed her senseless. She felt his tongue run over her lips, his teeth biting her flesh softly. She looked down and saw her lover's head moving up and down on Spike's large cock. Spike pulled away from her, his eyes looked at her. "I want to taste you, Mum."

Willow glanced to Angel, wanting to make sure it was ok to cross that line. Angel glanced up at her and winked before running his tongue over Spike's cock. She laughed huskily as she straddled the blonde's head and lowered herself to his mouth.

**********

Darla looked up with a smile as Angel, Willow and Spike came into the room. She could smell the scent of sex surrounding them. "Guess you three got reaquainted."

"Yep" Spike grinning at his grandmother. "Ironed out some past grievances."

Darla laughed at the satisfied look in the blonde's mischievious eyes. "I bet you did...."

"Where's Dru?" Angel asked, sitting down.

Darla glanced at him, "She's having tea with Miss Edith and the other good dollies. Lovey, come sit by me."

Willow moved beside her sire, sitting beside the blonde. "So, Mum. When do we meet the slayer?"

"The slayer?" Spike asked, grimacing. "Why would you meet that bitch?"

Angel looked at him, "Well, it's either put up with the master or make a deal with Buffy. We don't really have much of a choice."

"Bloody hell...making a deal with the slayer?" Spike spat out. He lit his cigarette, rolling his eyes, "I guess hell must have just froze over."

Willow smiled, "Spike, the slayer isn't that bad. She was a friend of mine, when I was alive. She'll agree to this. Mum has a very good plan."

"Lovey is right. The slayer is smart. Well, her watcher is smart." Darla ammended, not being very impressed with what she had seen of the blonde slayer. "They'll know that the plan benefits Sunnydale. If not, we kill them."

Spike chuckled, "Now that plan I like."

"You would" Angel said dryly. He saw Spike's pout forming and laughed, "Don't thrust that lower lip at me, boy."

"Sod off, you wanker" Spike said, grinning despite himself. He glanced at Darla and saw her brushing Willow's hair with her fingers, a happy look on her face. "You played this game well, Grammy."

"Whatever do you mean?" Darla asked, beaming at her favorite grandchilde.

"Willow....getting our Angel back, in a way..me and Dru. The family is back together. Don't tell me that wasn't in your head all along. I know you better than that" Spike said, winking at Darla.

Darla laughed, "Yes you do. What can I say? Things worked out as I had hoped they would. My family running the hellmouth. What more could a matriarch ask for?"

"The master's dust laying at your feet" Willow said, smiling at her sire.

Darla chuckled, "Oh yes, there is that."

"So, when do we meet with this damn slayer?" Spike asked, frowning.

"Angel, set up an appointment with her and the watcher for tomorrow. Shortly after dusk." Darla said, thinking about it. "We can meet on her ground. The library is where I believe she is centered."

"Yes, it's the school library" Willow agreed. She was going to see Xander again. And Buffy. She wondered what they would think of her now. Sighing, she caught Angel's eyes. She smiled, knowing that she no longer cared what any of them thought. She winked at Spike as she leaned back against Darla. She was happy. That's all that mattered to her anymore.

**********

"Did Angel say who we were suppose to be meeting?" Rupert Giles asked again.

Buffy sighed, rolling her eyes as she looked at Xander, "No he didn't. He just said it was very important and that we needed to keep an open mind."

"An open mind? Why does that not give me a happy?" Xander asked.

Amy laughed, "Because it is a rather prophetic statement that usually leads to some horrible circumstance where having an open mind is almost impossible."

"Thanks...I needed that" Xander said dryly, smiling at the young witch.

"I so can not believe I am sitting here on a Friday night with you geeks." Cordelia said, making a face.

"There's the door" Buffy offered sweetly.

"Children!" Giles warned, running a hand through his hair. "I wonder why this must be so secretive."

"Because" a soft voice said, "they can't be seen speaking with you."

Buffy jumped slightly, glaring at the dark haired man, "Angel! You scared me."

Angel smiled slightly, "Sorry."

"Who is they and why can't they be seen with us?" Giles asked.

Angel frowned, "First off, there is something you really need to know about me."

"What?" Xander asked, leaning back and looking at the man.

Angel sat down, avoiding their gazes, "I don't really know an easy way to say this so I'll just come right and say it...."

"Get on with it already!" Cordelia demanded.

"Yes, Angel. Please. We'd really like to know who it is we're meeting" Giles expanded.

"I'm a vampire." Angel said softly. Seeing their disbelieving looks, he changed quickly and then slid back into his normal handsome features. "I have a soul, so please put the stake down. I'll explain everything"

Angel waited until the humans quieted down before he told his story. He saw recognition in Giles' eyes so he knew the watcher had heard of him. He finished, giving them time to ask questions.

"So..you're a vampire but you're good" Xander said, trying to understand.

Angel nodded, "Yes. I can't kill. Not innocents at least."

"But you would if you could" Amy clarified.

Angel shrugged, "Probably. There are some of us though that prefer to feed to survive. We just don't kill any human we come across. That usually comes with maturity."

"And this master....he knows you?" Giles asked.

Angel frowned, "He's my grandsire."

"Grandwhat?" Buffy asked, still trying to come to terms with the fact that this man that had been helping her for over a month was exactly what she had been trained to fight.

"My grandfather" Angel said patiently.

"Bloody hell" Giles cursed. "Yet, you choose to help the slayer. Why?"

"Because, my boy is smart. The master is an ingnorant bastard who wants to control everything even though he isn't smart enough or strong enough to hold on to any of it. Typical man," an amused voice said, entering the library.

The humans looked up, surprised to see a woman standing there that couldn't be older than twenty one. Her blonde hair fell to her shoulders and she had an impish grin on her pretty face. Dressed in a pleated skirt and white shirt, she could have passed for a high school student. Knowledge and power burned in her eyes as she looked at them.

Angel laughed softly, "Mum, I see that you still love to make an appearance."

The humans gasped when they heard Angel refer to the younger woman as Mum. Giles asked quietly, "She's your sire?"

Angel smiled and nodded, "Mum, meet the slayer and her little friends. Gang, meet Darla."

"Darla?" Giles said, thinking of what he had read.

Darla smiled at the handsome older man. Watchers had definitely improved, she noted. She could see his mind working and found herself intrigued with him. Shaking her head, she glanced at Angelus. "Did you tell them anything?"

Angel shook his head, "No. I just told them about me...about the curse."

Darla moved beside him, her hand on his shoulder. She knew how difficult it was for him to speak of it. She squeezed him affectionately as she looked at the humans around the table. "I'm Darla. May I ask your names?"

Buffy found herself answering the woman immediately, "I'm Buffy...the slayer." She saw the way Darla was touching Angel and was reminded of her own mother. She had never imagined that vampires could care about each other. She'd always just thought that they were evil and wanted to kill everyone. Now, she found herself doubting her beliefs. This woman seemed to care about Angel. She was confused.

"Xander" "Amy" "Cordelia"

Darla smiled pleasantly at the children. She found herself looking at the watcher. He seemed baffled. "And you?"

"Rupert Giles. I must say that I don't recall a Darla listed in the diaries."

Darla laughed, "My dear boy" she saw him grimace as she called him a boy and her smile deepened, "I change my name often. I'm sure I'm listed as several different people in your silly journals. Can't have everyone knowing my secrets can I?"

Giles found himself nodding in agreement at her statement, "Yes..I'm sure it would make survival difficult. May I ask for some of those names?"

Darla just smiled, "If you're a good boy, I might give you one...."

Giles found himself blushing from her suggestive tone and the look of blantant attraction in her eyes. He stuttered, "Uh well...uh..."

Darla laughed, turning to Angel, "I like these humans. They amuse me. Shall we discuss my proposition?"

"Proposition?' Buffy asked, slightly wigged that a girl that looked her age had just flirted openly with her watcher. She glanced at the others then back at Darla, "What's the 411?"

Darla sat down, glancing behind her at the library doors. She frowned, "I wonder what is keeping Spike and Lovey."

Angel smiled, "She's probably giving him a tour of the school."

Darla chuckled, "Yes well...as long as they don't lose any more clothes."

Xander's mouth dropped open slightly, "You mean they're uh having sex in the school?"

Darla shook her head, "Probably not. They just like to play. Angel isn't around so the sex would have to wait."

"O.k...I'm confused." Cordelia said. "He has to what? Watch or something?"

Angel smiled, "Sometimes. But, what she means is that Lovey is my mate. Spike wouldn't play without my consent which he has not received for the evening. They are just playing around giving us time to talk to you before coming in."

"I am so glad I'm not a vampire" Amy said, making a face.

"I dunno. It's rather fun in ways" Willow said, walking into the library and sitting beside Darla. She ignored the gasps from her friends who believed her dead as she kissed Darla's cheek. "Felt you worry, Mum, so I came straight here."

"Will?" Xander said, his eyes disbelieving.

"Damn...death looks good on you" Cordelia said, taking in the redhead's casual dress and newly found glow.

"Cordy!" Amy hissed, rolling her eyes. She looked back at Willow who was ignoring them. She saw the way Angel's eyes lit up as they looked at her old friend. This was his mate.

"Lovey....you know everyone?" Darla asked, smiling at the girl.

Willow nodded as she turned her eyes to look at Xander. She smiled as she saw the look of relief and fear cross his eyes. "Xan. Sorry I couldn't see you before this."

"You're alive" Xander said, shaking his head slightly. "I mean, dead but not dead but damn, you know what I mean! They said you ran away but we thought you were dead...."

"And you said he was smart?" Angel said rolling his eyes. He looked at her, amusement in his dark eyes.

"He is...just misunderstood" she said defending her old friend.

"That's an understatement" Angel said, stopping when Darla glared at him. "Sorry mum."

Giles found himself almost laughing as the vampire smiled sheepishly under Darla's warning look. "Willow. I must say, this is a bit of a surprise."

Willow smiled. "A nice one, I hope. Have you met Mum? I've told her a lot about you...."

Darla rolled her eyes, "Lovey seemed to think you and I had a bit in common...well, besides the whole need to breathe and feed on blood differences, of course."

"Quit matchmaking" Spike said, moving to sit beside Willow. "Setting up Gran with a human.....a bleeding watcher at that. Makes me ill...."

"Ahem!" Giles said, clearing his throat. He knew his face had to be red. He was facing four vampires who were discussing his love life. "I do hate to interrupt"

"No you don't" Darla said sweetly. She could see that the man was getting embarrassed. She wondered how long he'd been without a woman. Knowing the watchers that she had dealt with, it had probably been awhile. She had researched this one though...Ripper. Sudden delicious images ran through her mind. She heard Lovey snicker as she realized she was still staring. She gave the redhead a warning look before turning her attention back to what the watcher was saying.

"No, actually, I don't. Why are you here and what do you want?" Giles asked, irritation clouding his words. This was fast turning into a circus.

"Yeah...you mentioned a proposition" Buffy said, remembering. She smiled at Willow, glad to see that the girl was alive but wondering if she was one of the very things she was trained to kill now. Her head was starting to hurt. Too much to understand all at once.

"Oh, the proposition" Darla said. "Sorry, I almost forgot. I tend to get sidetracked."

Angel snorted, smiling innocently as she glared at him. He knew how his sire worked. She could play helpless and dumb with the best of them, but her mind was more agile than anyone he had ever met. She surrounded herself with intelligence and beauty. She was also the least forgetful person he had ever met. His eyes falling on Willow, he could easily see the many similarities between his sire and his mate. He had always been attracted to strong, intelligent women.

"Excuse my son." Darla said. "Now, the plan. That's where we are, I believe. It's rather like this." She paused, trying to think of how to phrase it. Finally, she decided it would be easier to just be simple. She started to explain her proposition.

**********

Willow sat next to Darla, looking at her sire seriously. "Will this work?"

Darla got a pensive look on her face as she thought about it. She knew what Willow was really asking. "We won't die, lovey."

"Will we be able to defeat him?" Willow asked.

"With the slayer on her side?" Darla said. "Easily."

Willow smiled, "Good. He won't expect an alliance with her, will he? Not from you."

"No, he won't. That gives us the advantage. He knows my thoughts on slayers. A silly waste of time. He'll never imagine that I would offer a deal to one..OR that she would accept."

"Do you trust her?" Spike asked, coming into the room, Angel behind him. Both sat opposite Darla and Willow.

"Strangely, I do. She's not too bright, but her watcher is. He knows this is the safest way to keep things calm here" Darla said.

"Uh oh....mummy has a crush" Angel taunted, hearing the softening in his sire's voice as she mentioned the watcher.

Darla's eyes flashed yellow as she glared at him, "I do not have a crush on some silly pathetic human that believes a fun evening is sitting at home in tweed and reading a stuffy book."

"Haven't given his nightly activities a lot of thought, huh, Gran?" Spike teased, exchanging a knowing grin with Willow. The two had caught sight of Darla outside the watcher's apartment two evenings earlier, a day after the meeting with the slayer.

"Fuck off" Darla said, anger in her voice. "I am going out. Have to set the plan into action. And, there will be no comments about the damn watcher!"

They watched her leave and then looked at each other. Their laughter drew Drusilla into the room, who took a seat next to Willow. She smiled, "She burns for the human."

"We know, princess. It's the most amusing thing I've seen lately." Spike said.

"Who would have imagined the great powerful Darla getting a silly crush on a human...a watcher no less" Angel said, shaking his head at the thought. At least he knew that Giles was a good man. His sire had chosen an intelligent man that had an edge around him that most watchers did not. He could see the attraction, for her point of view. His taste ran much more cocky and less stoic. Look at Spike for lord's sake.

"I think it's sweet" Willow said, walking over to sit on Angel's lap. "She seems happy."

"Eh, she will be after we dust the damn master." Spike commented, running his hand over Willow's leg.

"Not much longer" Dru said. "The stars danced for me. Soon."

"Good...then we can concentrate on getting things in this damn town straightened out" Angel said, his mouth on Willow's neck.

"Do we hunt tonight?" Willow asked, looking at her lovers.

"Nah...we can stay in. Darla is setting things up for the slayer. Don't want to interfere" Angel said.

Willow nodded, settling back into his hard chest. She was glad that Buffy had agreed to Darla's proposition. She would have hated having to kill her old friends, though she would have without a moment's hesitation. She wasn't exactly normal according to Darla and the others, but she knew she would kill to protect her family. She was, after all, a vampire.

**********

"Are we ready for this?" Buffy asked no one in particular.

"I hope so" Xander remarked, giving his girlfriend what he hoped was a confident grin.

"Why am I here?" Cordelia asked.

"Because, you know we need you" Amy said, rolling her eyes. She wished she had a dollar for everytime Cordelia asked that question. After only three months, she knew she might be a millionaire already.

"Whatever" Cordelia said, smiling slightly. Someone needed her. It was a rather nice feeling actually. She looked at the others. "So, when do we meet the undead ones?"

"Darla said to give her some time then go in. Angel and the children will be removing any unwanted elements from our path. Should be a straight shot into the main hall where the master will be" Giles said.

"And when did Darla tell you this?" Buffy asked grinning as her watcher reddened slightly. "I don't remember all those details that night....."

"Yeah, GMan. When did you and the Mistress of the Dark get together?" Xander asked, laughing as he was glared at.

"Why do I put up with you children?" Giles asked, muttering to himself.

"Cause you love us?" Buffy suggested, smiling at him. "Hey...Darla was cool. She's smart and she scares me, but in a good way. I trust her. Now, she is a vampire so that might be a problem for you later on, but go with the flow for now."

"She did seem interested" Amy said helpfully.

"She's a hottie...for an undead vampire" Xander added.

"She does need to do something about that whole Catholic girl thing though. Puhleez...that look is so outdated" Cordelia said.

"God give me strength" Giles begged, rolling his eyes as the kids continued to give him unwanted advice on the pros and cons of dating a vampire.

**********

"Come my childe"

Darla steeled herself, looking into the master's eyes as she walked closer to him. "Father."

He studied her, his eyes distrustful. "I have heard that Angelus is back. Why has he not visited me?"

"He's been occupied" Darla responded, her smile giving no doubts to her meaning.

"Ah...he and the redhead? A good match. Very strong...very powerful. I also hear that William and Drusilla are in town. Is that true?"

"Yes Father. They came to visit" Darla said, not looking towards the entrance that she knew the slayer would be coming through shortly.

"Darla...my childe. My favorite. Why do you deceive me?"

"I know not what you mean, Father" Darla responded.

He lashed out, his hand hitting her face and sending her into the wall. She steadied herself, moving to her feet, ignoring the pain and the blood that was dripping from her head. "Do not insult me childe. I hear things. You and your children are powerful. Very powerful. You want to take over Sunnydale. I know how you think, Gabriella. You forget, I am the one that broke you all those centuries ago."

Darla stiffened, hearing her name. She looked at him, the anger in her body. "You never broke me, Father. Just a few dints that took some time to heal."

"I gave you life and this is how you repay me? Go behind my back with your family..my own grandchilder...and plot my demise at your own hand?"

"Actually, ugly. She's not going to kill you." A youthful voice said, "I am."

The master turned, his eyes narrowing. "Slayer" he hissed.

He moved quickly, the force of his blow sending Darla into the wall again. She heard the bones crack as she slid to the ground. She tried to move, but the force had done some damage. She instead was forced to watch. Buffy was good, she grudgingly admitted. Not as good as she was, nowhere near that level, yet. She saw her children and smiled. They were fighting a good fight, but you could clearly see who was going to win. She felt her bond cut as the master found himself facing Buffy's stake. Darla's head fell slightly forward as the bond that was over eight hundred years old was permanently broken.

Willow looked around them, a small smile on her face. She looked at the humans, glad to see them all still standing. Several had cuts that were bleeding, the blood beckoning her. She resisted the urge, her eyes finding Angel. She moved into his arms, her head on his chest. "It's over."

Buffy stood, her arm cut and her face on fire. She had been slapped down, her face hitting the hard rock before she could kill the master. Xander's arms went around her. She leaned back into him, surveying the dust and damage that had been left. "Damn, that was tiring."

Darla felt a warm hand on her face and she looked up into soft eyes. "You ok?"

She nodded, strangely touched by his concern. What was it about this human that drew her to him? "Just a bit dazed. He didn't break me, though."

"Good" Giles said, helping her to her feet. She leaned against him, her small cool body flush against his. "Is everyone ok?"

Spike joined Willow and Angel, his arm going around her neck as he nudged them and motioned to Darla standing with Giles. He winked knowingly before speaking, "We're still dead. Things are fine here."

Amy finished cleaning Cordelia's wound and nodded, "All of us are still alive."

"Good. The master is gone. It appears that we have taken out his supporters" Giles added.

"There are still some. But, not enough to matter" Angel said.

"Not bad for a good night's work" Buffy said, hobling slightly as Xander helped her back out of the cave.

"I so know that this dress is ruined" Cordelia complained. "Blood never comes out of silk."

"Why am I here?" Amy asked her, smiling as the brunette laughed. "It will come out. If it doesn't, I'll find you a spell, ok?"

"So Lovey" Darla asked, moving over to Willow's side with Giles help. "I just have to know...Do you still hate the night?"

Willow shook her head, looking around the cave at her friends...her family? "No mum. You were right. The night can be fun."

"Let's go home" Darla said, smiling at her children. She leaned back against Giles, his arms supporting her as they left the cave.
