~Part: 11~ Lunch
"I am a selfish bitch."
Willow looked up and saw Xander staring behind her. She turned and looked at Buffy.
"I was completely wrong to say what I said. Forgive me?" The slayer begged.
Willow smiled. "Only if you forgive me."
Buffy pulled her friend into a hug. "I've missed you Wills. Promise we will not fight ever again." "Well....I can't guarantee that, but lets try to not wait a month before making up." Buffy sat down and said hi to Xander.
"So, Willow, how are you and Spike?"
"Things are great. Very good."
"I'm glad. I've missed alot. So, whats this I hear about houseguest?
"How is that going?" Willow's face took on a thoughtful look. How was it going? Angel had been with them for three days. He and Spike had gradually began to rebuild a friendship that had died almost 100 years before. There was still some tension. She looked at her friend.
"Things are moving slowly but positively. I mean, they still have moments of growling. And I never realized what a control freak Angel was. He wants to know where I am 24/7. Spike is definitely not liking that. But, otherwise, they actually seem to be becoming friends."
"Really? That's good. Makes it easier for you to live with them." She took a bite from her hamburger. "So, Wills, have you seen Angel naked yet?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
Xander choked on his soda. "UGH! Bad mental place. I think its time for me to leave. Glad you're back Buffster. Wills, tell Blondie to be ready. I'm going to kick his ass Sunday."
Buffy looked at her friend in alarm. 'What was that about?" Willow saw the distress on the slayer's face and started to laugh.
Willow stopped laughing at explained to her friend, "Every Sunday Xander comes over and spends the day. He and Spike play video games. Spike usually wins." She finished proudly.
"Let me get this straight, XANDER willingly spends time with Deadboy Junior?"
"Go figure huh? They bonded over playstation. They keep trying to beat each other. Poor Xan just can't win. Oh, and he calls Spike Blondie now. In fact, he asked me how Blondie and Deadboy were doing when I sat down earlier. Isn't that terrible? It sounds like some cartoon or something."
Buffy started to laugh. " I can see it. Angel and Spike make such an attractive couple. Tune in tomorrow to see who will be ALPHA MALE."
Willow joined in laughing, "Yes, will it be the Irish Soulboy or the British Bad Boy...Goddess, that's awful. I've really missed you Buffy. It had been tough not having a best friend to talk to."
"Me too Wills. So....speaking of your two vamps, have you compared attributes yet?"
"BUFFY! Geez....I love Spike. I could never compare him to anyone..."
"Uh huh..." "Besides, Angel's first night with us? Spike warned him off. Angel has been the big brother I've never wanted." She said rolling her eyes.
Buffy thought about it. "Does that mean you don't want him to be brotherly?"
Willow turned back to her lunch blushing. "Not really...it's just...." taking a deep breath she continued, "Spike told me about him and Angelus and their relationship. He really misses that. I thought that they might be able to get back to that place...it would be nice for Spike to have a friend. I mean, I have you guys, but all he had is me. I just don't want him to get bored."
"Oh Willow...he loves you. I could even see that. Wait, he told you about him and Angelus? WOW....Angel never would talk about it...from what I read in Giles' book, it was pretty intense. Are you sure you want Spike to go through that?"
"Oh Buffy...that was years ago. They have both grown so much. I know Spike still loves him. He hasn't said it, but I can tell. I'm not jealous. I want him to be happy. He doesn't think he can have us both. And Angel won't make a move no matter how bad he may want to, out of loyalty to me. He does want to, I can see it in his eyes. He really cares for Spike."
"Well, maybe they don't want a repeat of what happened before. Or maybe Spike isn't aware that you are quite so open to the possibility. I mean, it kind of surprises me. You seem rather possessive of him."
"I am...but this is Angel. Angel deserves some happiness."
"I agree with that. He had been unhappy for so many years. I've noticed that you are concentrating on a scenario of you and Angel sharing Spike." Willow nodded at her friend. "Haven't you thought of all three of you sharing each other?"
"Well...God, Buffy, how could I not? But Angel doesn't want me. He wants Spike. I'd just get in the way. Besides, I'm not sure if Spike would agree to that. He got mad when Angel hugged me, platonically. Could you imagine how he'd react if Angel and I.....well, you know."
Buffy had to laugh. "God, this is bad. You've been fucking one of the most feared vampires in all vampiredom for months, and you can't even say the word? Is vampiredom even a word? Anyway, Willow, you are amazing. Angel would be blind not notice you and want you. I think you are just oblivious to it. The question is do you want Angel?"
Willow looked at her friend and slowly nodded. "I do have the gift of sight, you know. He's a hottie. More so now that he isn't Brood Boy. He has such a wicked sense of humor. He is also extemely patient and so smart. And there are those shoulders...those eyes...those hands..."
"I get the point." Buffy said sharply. "Sorry, didn't mean to be so snappy."
"No, I shouldn't have gone on. I can tell you that I would only want Angel if I could keep Spike. There is no contest there. Spike is my mate. I just want Angel...and Spike. Oh Goddess..."
"Don't you all ready love them both?" Buffy asked quietly. Willow looked
down at her food and thought about her friend's question.
~Part: 12~ Roomies
Spike felt the light touch of fingers on his thighs. He opened his eyes,
staring at the ceiling. His body taut, waiting for what he knew was coming.
The fingers danced over his skin, barely touching here....growing more
bold there. He felt anticipation grow. Finally, a tongue reached out and
licked at his cock. Spike groaned at this first touch. Soon, a wet mouth
replaced the tongue. engulfing him whole. He thrust at the deepness. Hands
reached out and pushed him back into the mattress, firmly holding him in
place. The mouth let his cock go. Blindly, Spike pulled Willow up to him.
His lips met hers. Her fingers scratching into his skin. His fingers moved
to her wet folds, delving into her wildly. The mouth once again sucked
into his cock. Soon, his fingers and the mouth started a synchronized rhythm.
Willow was moaning into his mouth. He felt a finger slowly start to enter
his ass. It was too much. He came hoarsely screaming "Angelus". He looked
down to see Angel smiling. Willow was still thrusting against his hand.
Angel moved up behind the redhead and guided his cock to her entrance.
The two men looked at each other and then at their woman. She
was smiling her pleasure. "Please fuck me Angel."
"Bloody hell." Spike woke from his dream and looked wildly around.
He ran a hand through his hair and took an unnecessary breath. He fell back on the bed. His hand found itself going down, gripping his erection. He closed his eyes, remembering the look of desire on Willow's face in his dream as she had watched Angel's mouth pleasure him. He quickly found his release. He was so caught up in his memory that he didn't notice Willow quietly go back into the living room, a thoughtful look on her face.
Willow sat on the couch eating her ice cream. She had heard Spike groaning in his sleep. She had even heard him huskily whisper the name Angelus. What she would give for Dru's dream spell. Too bad it had been a one of a kind thing. She heard a noise and turned. Angel was standing in the doorway watching her. She froze. He was wearing only a pair of dark blue silk pajama bottoms. His body was amazing. He was broader than Spike, taller. His chest was sculpted. A work of art. His hair was tousled was sleep. It was his eyes that captured her. They were staring at her with such lust. (Smoldering....)She had often wondered exactly what that meant. Now she knew. She licked her lips as her gaze moved back over his body.
He slowly smiled. "Well, Red, do I pass inspection?" She felt the heat rush over her face. She had been caught.
"Yeah...not bad Old Man." Angel softly chuckled. He moved into the room. He could smell her arousal and felt himself growing hard. He watched as she tried to ignore him, focusing her eyes on the television. He watched closely as she lifted the spoon up to her mouth, her tongue licking at the melting ice cream. He closed his eyes and fought for control. Spike was sleeping in the next room. It would not help their budding friendship if he was found here ravaging Willow, no matter how bad he wanted to. He decided to play a bit. He leaned over Willow and licked at the side of her mouth. Her startled eyes met his. He could see the desire..for him. The thought gave him such pleasure. He pulled back quickly.
"You had a bit of ice cream on your face, " he told her as he started back to his room. "Oh, Red, could you keep the TV down a bit, I'm trying to sleep."
He turned back to look at her. She was staring after him with a dazed look. Smiling, he went back to his room leaving Willow to think about what had just happened.
**********
"Do you need to talk?" Willow asked Spike quietly.
Spike looked at his love and shook his head. "Nothing to talk about Pet. Why?"
"You've been dreaming about Angel. I've heard you moaning his name. Are there feelings there?"
Spike turned his head. "I've said his name? Its nothing Luv. Just dreaming. He seems so much like he used to be...brought back memories is all."
"Are you sure? You know I love you. If you feel the need to um....explore... your relationship with Angel, I would understand. There is a huge history between you two. He used to make you happy. I've heard you talk about your time with him."
"No. I'm not going to go through all that again. I love you. I'm content with that."
Willow looked deep into his blue eyes. "Are you happy with that? I think you still love him."
"No..."
"Spike, just admit it. What's the problem? You want him. He wants you. I don't want to sound stupid, but you have my permission if that's what you need. I understand your feelings for him. Believe me."
Spike looked at his lover. "Pet, are you sure? No, don't answer that. It doesn't matter. Nothing is going to happen. The time I had with Angelus was great, but it was the past. YOU are my future. I don't need him to be happy."
Willow smiled softly, "Who are you trying to convince, Spike?"
Angel watched Spike and Willow cuddle on the couch. Things had been going remarkably well. He and Spike had been able to become friends. He could sense Spike's desire for him growing. He was taking it slowly. Willow was still such an innocent. He didn't know if she was ready for what he had planned. He knew Spike wouldn't do anything until he was sure Willow would agree. Over the days he had been staying with him, he had felt himself slowly fall in love with them both. It was such an amazing thing. All three of them fit so well together. He didn't know how much longer he could wait. He had all ready been in Sunnydale for eight days. An idea occurred to him.
"Hey...guys." Willow and Spike turned to look at him. "You know, I should be getting ready to go back to LA soon."
"No....you can't. Stay a little longer?" Willow asked shyly. Spike just stared at him, his eyes growing cold. (I knew the wanker would leave again.)
"Well, I've been thinking. I don't really want to go back to LA. I've been so happy these last few days; I hate to leave. I think I might move back to Sunnydale."
Willow smiled. "Really? That would be great. You can stay with us as long as you need. We have the room, don't we Spike?"
Spike was amazed. His sire actually planned to stay. He felt himself smiling. "Yeah, Peaches. Mi casa es su casa."
Angel laughed. "I was actually thinking of buying a house and asking you two to live with me. I don't think I can handle going back to a solitary existence."
Willow looked at Spike. He was smiling broadly. She nodded at Angel, "Yes, I think that would be possible. I'd hate to see you turn back into Brood boy." (Anything for Spike....)
Spike squeezed his lover, kissing the side of her neck. He knew he didn't deserve her. Looking at Angel, he saw his sire look at him questioningly.
"Yeah, it will be just like old times Angelus" Spike replied, stressing the last word as he tightened his hold on Willow. Angel answered him with a wink. Willow closed her eyes, smiling, and leaned against Spike, oblivious to the private conversation the men were having.
**********
Spike and Angel were walking the streets of Sunnydale. They were on their way to meet Willow and Company at the Bronze. Since Angel's decision to remain in Sunnydale, Spike had let go of the fear that his sire would leave again. He and Angel had easily been able to bridge the gap in their friendship. Spike had figured out what Angel had planned. His sire wanted both him and Willow. He felt proud that Angelus want to reclaim him. He wasn't sure about Willow. He didn't think she was ready. She didn't really understand what taking that next step meant. She kept encouraging him to become closer to Angel. She seemed to not realize that it wasn't just himself that Angel wanted. She was still so innocent. He had deliberately been trying to stall Angel. He loved Willow so much. He wanted to make sure she was completely comfortable with everything before they moved their relationship with Angel from strictly friends to lover. He was so lost in his thoughts he didn't see the vampires until they were both surrounded.
"Traitors...."
Spike looked up and saw Angel in fighting position. They had six vampires gathered around them.
"Traitor....you help the slayer....fuck her little friend....how does the redhead taste?" The leader asked. "After I kill you, I'll have to find out."
Spike felt his game face slide out. He looked at Angel, yellow eyes met. "Shall we dance Peaches?"
At Angel's nod, they both attacked. Spike felt the familiar rush of adrenalin spread through his body. He had missed this. The two men fought until only the leader remained. Angel held him tightly in front of him.
"Well, bloke, that was fun. Most fun I've had in days. Now....what was it you were saying about my mate? "
"Nuuuhthing Master Spike."
"Hmm...I don't think so. Angelus," the leaders eyes widened at hearing the name of the vampire holding him, "what was it he said about my mate?"
Angelus chuckled. "He wanted to know how she tasted. He said he planned to find out after killing you."
Spike snapped his fingers. "That's right! How could I forget that?" He turned cold eyes on the vampire. Reaching up, he put his hands on the vampire's shoulders "You threaten me...you might live. You threaten my mate...well, " he quickly twisted the vampires neck.
Angelus let him fall, before grabbing a stake from his boot and dusting him. He looked up at Spike. Blood and scratches covered his face. Angel looked down and saw that his own clothes were torn, blood dripping from wounds of his own. The vampires had put up a good fight. As the smell of Spike's blood reached him, he felt himself harden. Spike's eyes narrowed in desire. He felt the demon rise. Angel's eyes met his. Within seconds, Spike had Angel pushed against the alley wall. Their tongues battling for dominance. Angel felt hand grab his cock roughly, freeing it from his pants. He moved his hand over and gripped Spike's erection. They began a rhythm that was familiar. As they both felt ready to explode, they bit deeply: Angel feeding from Spike, Spike feeding from him. They came together. Shakily, they looked at each other.
"I'd forgotten how nice that dance was.." Angel said softly, straightening his clothes.
Spike just watched him. He couldn't believe what had happened. "Yeah...it was nice." Suddenly, his eyes become worried. "We can't tell Willow. It's too soon."
Angel nodded, agreeing. Willow was attracted to him, but she still failed to acknowledge his own attraction. She wasn't ready. "You're right. She's not ready. Soon though."
"Yeah....I'd better go home. I don't feel like facing the slayer." (or Willow)
Angel agreed. "I think I'll start scouting out houses. I'm looking for something that Willow will love. I want it to be perfect for her."
"You love her." Spike said simply.
Angel nodded, smiling. "Yes, I do. As much as I love you." He leaned forward, capturing Spike's mouth in a brutal kiss. "You're mine." He stated simply before leaving the alley.
Spike closed his eyes, acknowledging that this was true...always had been true. They belonged to each other. Looking down, he grimaced. He needed a shower.
**********
"What happened to you?" Willow rushed to Spike. He stepped away, avoiding touching her. "Are you OK?"
Spike looked into her eyes. "Attacked...on the way to the Bronze. Six vampires. Took care of it."
"Six? Oh Goddess, are you hurt? Where's Angel?"
Spike flinched, hearing Angel's name. He couldn't believe they had groped in the alley like a couple of teenagers. "He's fine. Out looking for the perfect house."
Willow noticed his voice change when he spoke of Angel. She looked into his eyes. "Did anything else happen? Besides the attack. You sound strange." She started to reach for him, glad he was still alive...well, undead.
"Don't want to get blood on you Pet." He said, again avoiding her embrace. Spike shook his head. "Nope, Luv. nothing unusual. Just got the hell beat out of me by a couple of young pups. I do need a shower though. Why aren't you at the Bronze? I thought we were meeting there. Celebrate your Spring break and all that." He asked as he disappeared into the bedroom.
Willow stood looking after him, a pensive look on her face. "I had to get a book for Buffy. She needed it for her Lit test tomorrow. She left and I waited. I thought you might come by here first, after feeding." She heard the shower start running.
She had seen the bite on Spike's neck. She had smelled his scent. (Why didn't he tell me? Is this the first time? Willow, stop. You told him it was ok. Hell, you even encouraged him to go after Angel. You have no one to blame but yourself.) She went into the bedroom and crawled under the covers. (Why couldn't he tell me?) She thought before drifting off to sleep.
Spike left the bathroom and saw Willow sleeping quietly. He went to the bed and laid down beside her. Gathering her in his arms, he closed his eyes and joined her in sleep.
Angel arrived back at the apartment early in the morning. He had found the perfect house. He would have to call and see what the price was. Willow would love it. He glanced into their room. He smiled as he saw them holding each other, even in sleep. He was so happy to have Spike back. He knew Spike was a bit worried about Willow, but it would just take a bit more time. Then, he'd have them both. His fire and his ice. Whistling softly, he went to his room and went to sleep.
Willow awoke from her nightmare gasping. It had been terrible. Shaking, she got out from under Spike's arm and went to the bathroom. She splashed water on her face, trying to forget. She felt tears began to slowly fall. The nightmare had been prophetic. She knew that it was going to happen. Suddenly, she knew what she had to do. Quietly, she got dressed. She made a phone call. After a whispered conversation, she said Thanks and hung up. She called one more place. Then, she wrote a note to Spike, apologizing and wishing him luck. She packed a bag, and took one last look at her lover. The tears were flowing readily now. She went over and kissed his cheek. She took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Goodbye lover...mate...friend" She whispered before closing the door.
She left the apartment, making sure the door was locked. She got into
her car, thankful that Spike had bought it for her. Her head fell forward
on the steering wheel as she cried freely. "Take care of him, Angel..."
she begged before driving off into the darkness.
~Part: 13~ Arrival
The door opened quickly. "You look like shit!"
Willow grimaced. "I know. I can't seem to stop crying."
She was pulled into a small apartment. "Well, you can quit crying now. I want to know what's going on."
"OK...but give me a minute. I've been driving around for hours, thinking." Suddenly she smiled, "Thank you for letting me stay here. I couldn't think of anywhere else. Spike would find me too easily at Buffy's. I need some time to think over what has happened these last few months."
"It's no problem. I've told you before you are welcome here. I'm actually thrilled that you thought of me. How long is your spring break?"
"Two weeks. I don't have classes Fridays, so I got out a day early. Are you sure you can put up with me for that long?"
There is a laugh. "I think I should be asking that question. We are going to have so much fun, you forget all about your problems." Sobering, "What do you want me to say if they call here? Does anyone know you are here?"
"No, not even Buffy. I just told her some things happened and I needed a little vacation. Don't worry. They won't call you. If they do...well....lie?"
She felt herself engulfed in a tight embrace. "Sorry, you looked like you needed a hug. Now, sit down and tell me what those mean vampire did to our Willow?"
Willow smiled through her tears and began the story of the last few
days.
~Part: 14~ Where's Willow?
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
Angel stumbled from his bed, blindly racing towards the room next door. He opened the door and saw Spike sitting on the edge of his bed. Red tears were cascading down his face. He was slowly rocking back and forth on the bed, staring off into the distance. In his left hand, Angel saw a piece of white paper.
"What happened? Spike?"
His childe looked at him. His eyes were filled with pain. "She's gone...." he whispered.
Angel felt apprehension run through him. "Willow?" he asked, fearing the answer.
Spike held out the paper. Angel took it, cursing his shaking hand. There, written in Willow's neat precise handwriting, were these words:
Spike
I love you too much to stay and interfere in your happiness. I know you and Angel were together tonight. I know you didn't tell me because you didn't want to hurt me. It hurt me worse to have you lie. We promised to never lie to each other. I had a dream that convinced me of what I had to do. In it, you chose Angel. I was left alone. I could see the pain in your eyes when you were forced to make that decision. I WILL NOT make you go through that in reality. I have to leave. I need time to think. I don't know what to do. It hurts. I hurt. I thought I could be worldly and share you with him, but I can't. I guess I am still just a stupid little girl. I can't love you knowing you love him more....or thinking that you would rather be with him when you are with me. I'm sorry. I just can't. I hope you understand. I am going somewhere safe, so don't worry. I will be back after Spring Break. I guess I'll get my stuff then. I'll come when you are both out, if you don't mind. I can't see you. I would like to say that I hope we could be friends, but I know I can't do that. It would hurt too much. I'll do my best to avoid you both. Tell Angel that I do not blame him. It is neither of yours fault. You can't stop love. It just happens. I wish you both so much happiness. I love you both. Spike, I wish that I could be part of your life. You will always be in my heart. Please, never forget me.
Forever yours......Willow
Angel saw the marks on the paper where her tears had fallen. He looked at Spike. "We have to find her. Show her that she belongs here, with us. Do you know where she could be?"
Spike nodded. "Buffy, I'd guess." He took hold of Angel's hand. "We have to find her. I can't be here without her...she's my life. Please?"
Angel pulled his crying childe into his arms. (What have I done?) "We WILL find her Spike. She will be with us, where she belongs."
He heard a loud pounding on the front door. Spike looked up, hope in his eyes. "Do you think its her?"
"I don't know."
Angel went to the door and started to open it. He found himself forcefully pushed back into the room.
"What the hell did you do to Willow? Where is she?"
Angel looked at Spike. "I'd say this marks Buffy off the list." Buffy stopped and looked at Spike. She noticed his dishevelled appearance and the traces of red on his face. (He was crying...she thought in amazement.)
"Spike, what happened?"
Spike looked at the slayer. "How much do you know? How did you know she was gone?"
Buffy ran a hand through her blonde hair. "She called me in the middle of the night, crying. She said she needed to get away. She had to think. She couldn't come to me because it would be the first place you guys would look. She said not to worry, that she would be safe. She told me she'd explain after she got home. She was so upset. She scared me. I thought I'd give her a chance to calm down. I didn't know if she would actually leave. When I got here and didn't see her car, I freaked. What happened?"
Spike handed her the letter. "I know Willow wouldn't mind if you read this. I think this explains everything."
Buffy read the letter. She looked up to see Angel leaning against the top of the couch comforting Spike. "You two....um..." she trailed off a bit embarrassed.
Spike smiled softly "Yeah."
Buffy smiled. "That's cool." She then frowned. "Where does that leave Willow?"
"I love Willow. If I had to choose, she has my heart. She didn't wait for me to explain that. She just left."
"Buffy, I love Willow too. I told you this when I came back. Spike and I used to be involved. There were a few times that we shared the same woman. Dru being one you know. We had planned to slowly bring Willow into the relationship."
"So, you two fuck and leave Willow to worry about the fact that she believes no one wants her? No wonder she left. Why weren't you honest about your intentions Spike? My God, she LOVES you. The hell you put her through...you BOTH put her through. I should stake your sorry asses now and save her the heartache of living with you both for eternity."
Spike and Angel looked at her as she finished her tirade. "Eternity, Pet? Does this mean you'll help us find her?"
"Yes Blondie. I'll help. I know she was just freaked out. She and I have talked about this before. She always thought you would be HONEST with her. She even confessed to me that she wouldn't mind playing with you both. She feels very betrayed right now. I wonder if she'd be better off with us just letting her have time."
"NO! I need to talk to her. I need to make her understand that she is always going to be part of me. I have to convince her Slayer. The more time away, the more damage will be done. She is so insecure about things like this."
"Buffy, do you have any idea where she might go?" Angel asked.
Buffy frowned, thinking. "The only places I can think of are Giles, Xander or Oz. If she plans on being gone for two weeks, it has to be one of them. Of course, she does have some friends that I don't know very well. I don't think she's go to one of them though. Do you want to call the guys?"
Angel looked at Spike. "No. She could be there with one of them and we'd never know. Let's go find her."
The three friends set out to look for Willow.
**********
"OK. She's not with Giles. Oz isn't home, or at least he didn't answer his door. Xander said he hasn't seen her." Angel ticked each choice off on his left hand. "Where does that leave us?"
"Wait! Xander denied it but he sure wouldn't let us come inside. He could have been hiding her." Buffy said suspiciously.
"She's not with the moron. I didn't smell her at the Wolf's place either."
"Well, hell....I don't know where she could be. She might have gone somewhere with Oz. Wait, you can smell her?"
"She's my mate. I know her scent. She wasn't there."
"That's so romantic and kind of eeww."
Angel rolled his eyes. "Buffy, are you sure you don't know any of her college friends?"
"Well, there is some girl named Maggie that is in her Bio class. Also, I remember the names Darcy, Heather, Charity and Callie. I don't know them though. They are just people she talks to at school. Maybe we should go home and think about it. Tomorrow, I'll catch Xander and make sure he wasn't hiding something. I'm sure Oz will be back by then too. She has to be with one of them. Oh, I'll check my mom's house. I can't believe I forgot her. Did either of you call Willow's old house? Her parents are out of town, as usual, but she still has a key."
"No. I can't believe I forgot that. We can check there on the way home. Its almost sunrise. We'd better get going."
"Sure. I'll come by tomorrow after talking to the guys. OK? If you hear from her, page me immediately."
"Will do Slayer. Oh...and thanks."
Buffy smiled at the blonde vampire. "That killed you didn't it?"
"For Willow, it was worth it." Spike said laughing.
Angel and Spike checked Willow's childhood home but didn't see any lights on. Neither of them could sense her inside. Frowning, they slowly walked back to the apartment. On the way, Angel showed Spike the house that he had bought earlier that afternoon.
"She'll love it. When she comes back, maybe we can all ready be moved in. Someplace new for her." Spike said.
"Good idea."
"Peaches, do you think we'll find her?"
Angel thought about it. "Well, if she is determined to stay hidden, it may be difficult. She knows how we all work and think. But, we have Buffy, which is a benefit. We might just get lucky."
Spike looked into the darkness. "We have to keep trying."
**********
Willow had been gone for three days. Spike felt as though he were going crazy. No one had ever made him feel like this before. They had discovered that Xander had been telling the truth. He was now as worried as the rest of them. Oz hadn't seen her either. They had helped the men move into their new house. Buffy had even gone furniture shopping with them, picking out things she knew Willow would like. Angel and Spike were now waiting for their daily report from Buffy.
"OK. I ran into this girl Darly that is in our Psych class. She said she saw Willow three days ago at the gas station. Darly told me that they spoke a bit. Willow was upset about something, she'd been crying. Darly told her to have a good spring break and asked where she was going." Buffy pause, taking her time. They deserved it after what they'd done to Willow.
"Bloody hell. Where did Willow say she was going?"
"LA." Buffy stated calmly.
"LA? Why the hell would she go to LA? That Darly chit must have heard her wrong. Where is she? Maybe a little persuasion on my part will make her remember."
His rant was stopped when Angel started laughing. "Oh Geez...I can't believe I was so stupid. She almost got away. We were so stupid."
Buffy looked at Angel. "Do you know something?"
"What's so funny mate? Who does she know in LA?"
Angel looked at them smiling. "Cordelia."
**********
Willow smiled at the brunette across from her. "Cordy...."
"Yeah Willow?"
"Go fish..."
"FUCK! I hate this game. I quit." She threw her cards on the table.
Willow started to laugh. "You are such a poor loser. My Goddess, you're worse than Xander when he loses a game to Spike." Her laughter slowly stopped, her eyes filling with pain.
Cordy reached over and took her hand. Over the last few days, their tentative friendship had strengthened. Cordelia actually found herself growing very fond of the shy redhead. "So...how is Xander?"
Willow smiled and squeezed her hand. "He is good. He dates all these airheads and wonders why he can't find "the one" as he refers to her."
"Oh..." Cordelia said in a quiet voice.
"Yeah...he's such an idiot. I don't know how often I've told him he all ready found her. He was just stupid enough to let her go to LA."
Cordy looked at Willow and smiled. "Ya think?"
"I know. He misses you. He even used to ask Buffy how Deadboy was just in hopes of hearing about you."
"Wow. Well, I think about him too...once in awhile."
Willow just laughed. "Goddess, this is nice. Just sitting here and relaxing. I'm so glad you let me stay with you. I feel as though I've discovered a great friend."
"Me too. You are much cooler than I wanted to believe." Cordelia stared into space for a few moments, lost in thought. "So, Willow, will you help me decorate my apartment?
Willow looked around her. "Umm....Cor...it is decorated."
"Not this one. The one I get when I go back to Sunnydale."
"WHAT? I thought you hated Sunnyhell?"
Cordelia looked at her new friend. "I thought I did. I'm not stupid Willow. I've tried this acting thing and it didn't work. I so do not want to be one of those girls that ends up on the streets or doing commercials. I miss home. Angel will be there. You will be there. "
"Xander will be there...."Willow supplied.
Cordy smiled. "Xander will be there. I'll have friends...and a life....and people that care."
Willow went to the brunette and gave her a hug. "This is great. You can go back with me next week. Can you get away that fast? Oh...oh...oh....do you need a roommate? I'm sort of homeless right now."
"Willow....if you get back to Sunnydale and indeed not have somewhere to stay, I'd love to share a place with you." (I won't be counting on that though....You'll look into Spike's blue eyes and Angel's puppy dog gaze and be in their arms and bed before you can get out of the car.....It had been six days, and Cordelia knew how much the hacker was missing her lover) She smiled. " So, what do you want to do now?"
"Let's get out and explore. I'm feeling absolutely festive right now."
"Oh Goodie....Can I do your hair? Oh, and I have the perfect dress you can borrow. The top will be a bit loose, but hey, you can let it all hang out."
"No. Nothing will be hanging out thank you very much...."
The girls went into the bedroom to get changed, giggling and discussing the move as they went.
Two hours later, they left Cordelia's apartment ready to have some fun.
* * * * *
"What the bloody hell does she think she's wearing?" Spike started to get out of the car. Angel grabbed his wrist, keeping him firmly in place.
"Spike, we have a plan. This plan does not require you getting out of the car and announcing our presence to the world. We found her. Be patient. I know it is very hard for you, but think about it. Tonight, she will be yours...ours."
Spike's gaze followed his mate as she and the bimbo walked down the
street laughing. "Patience...." he whispered.
~Part: 15~ Patience
Willow and Cordelia made their way from the taxi to the front of the apartment building. They had had a fantastic time. Willow had seen so many neat places. For the evening, all thoughts of Spike and Angel has left her mind. She had been free to eat, drink and be merry. It was exhilarating. She was riding a definite high. She had to admit that she was a bit tipsy. Not near as drunk as Cordelia though. It was close to 2 am when the girls had decided to go back to get some sleep. Cordy was anxious to start packing, now that she had made her decision. Willow was very glad the girl would be going back to Sunnydale. She worried about her here alone. Before, she's had Angel to look after her. Now, she had no one. Soon, the gang would be back together.
"Look at the sky? Isn't it terrible?" Cordy moaned.
Willow looked up, not seeing anything. "What is it Cordelia?"
"You can't see the stars. I miss the stars Willow. Xander and I used to lay in my front yard and just stare at the sky. He was so amazing. Why was I so stupid Willow? Why couldn't I forgive him? Oz forgave you. I was so selfish."
Willow looked at her friend and sighed, "It was a tough time. Maybe you were meant to come here, to help Angel, and then go back to Xander. You have grown alot since moving here. You are a much nicer person now. I'm glad you've decided to come home."
"I luv you Wills." Cordelia slurred as she reached for her key. She heard a slight gasp behind her. Turning, she grabbed onto the door to keep from falling,
"Willow?" Her startled eyes were caught by brown ones. She saw Willow laying in the arms of Spike.
"Angel? What are you doing with Willow?"
Angel reached over and unlocked her door. "Get some sleep Cordelia. Willow will be fine. She just passed out is all. We are taking her home. I'll have her call you tomorrow...well, maybe the next night."
"Oh....ok. Night night." She stumbled into her apartment.
Spike carried Willow to the car. They needed to get on the road if they had any hopes of making it back to Sunnydale before dawn.
**********
Willow woke slowly. Her head was pounding. The last thing she remembered was Cordelia saying that she loved her...then darkness. (I must have fainted) She brought herself up to a sitting position and looked at the clock. (Where's the clock?) She looked around the room. (Where am I?) This was not Cordelia's couch. The room was beautiful. Furnished in antiques, lots of wood furniture, a fireplace....(this bed is huge! big enough for three people...)
"You're awake."
Willow looked toward the voice. She couldn't see anything, just shadows. "Where am I?"
The voice laughed huskily. "Home, Willow."
The voice sent prickles of excitement over her skin. It was Angel.
"Angel. Where's Spike? Why am I here? Why couldn't you leave me alone?"
"Willow...Willow...Willow...always so curious. Spike's out right now. You're here because this is your home. We will never leave you alone. We can't. Aren't you the one always saying that Love makes you do the wacky?"
Willow sat in the darkness, listening. His voice was so seductive. She didn't know what to think. "This isn't the apartment....Did you say Love?"
She heard a low chuckle from a different place. "Willow, quit trying to find me. You will only be able to if I allow it. Yes, I said love, you silly little girl. Spike and I both love you...want you...need you."
Willow gulped. "Really?" she asked shyly.
"Yes."
"Where's Spike?" She asked again.
"I've told you once. I will not repeat myself Willow." he stated firmly.
"We decided that you should be punished for leaving us, making us worry, doubting our feelings. Spike is too close to you to perform your punishment. Alas, that duty falls on my shoulders. It was agreed."
Willow felt herself becoming aroused and a bit frightened at the idea of being punished by Angel...Angelus? Where was he...it was just shadows.
"I smell your fear Red...it is only surpassed by the smell of your arousal. The idea makes you wet doesn't it love? I can hear your heart beating faster. You want my hands on your body don't you? It's been a week since you were touched, hasn't it? Do you think you need to be punished, Willow? Do you want me to punish you?"
"Willow I asked you a question? I do so hate to be ignored. Do you want me to punish you?"
Willow didn't know what to say. She thought about it. She opened her mouth and replied...
"Willow...don't make me repeat my question. You won't like the consequences."
Willow looked into the shadows. Did she want this? She knew that whatever she answered would not only affect her now, but also for all of eternity. When she thought of it like that, it was very scary. Did she love Spike and Angel enough to commit to eternity?
"Willow.....we love you." Angel spoke reassuringly.
Willow made her decision. "Yes."
"Yes what, little girl?"
(He's not making this easy.) "Yes, I deserve to be.....punished." She whispered the last word.
"Good. Do you know, Spike and I spent hours thinking of things we could do to make sure you never leave us. We even made a list. I finally came up with the perfect punishment. Spike agreed to let me have you for three hours tonight. By the time he comes back, you will be begging for forgiveness. Do you believe me?"
Willow swallowed. "Yes...."
The room was cast suddenly with a faint light. Willow looked at the fireplace. (How did he....?)
"Willow...go look into the fire."
Fear and desire rushed through her. She didn't know what Angel had planned for her. (He said they love me. They couldn't torture me if they love me could they?)
"NOW." The word filled the room.
Willow got up and walked in the darkness to stand in front of the fire. The heat it was giving off assaulted her senses. She stood still, waiting for his next move. After what seemed like hours, she started to turn back to the face the room to see if he was still there.
"Did I give you permission to turn around Willow?"
"Uh....no."
There was a husky chuckle. "What is it with kids these days? No one understands that patience is a virtue. You, dear Willow, are as bad as Spike. That boy has no patience either. I need to teach you...Now, face the fire and DO NOT move unless I tell you to. This can be over soon or it can take all night. You decide."
"Willow..."
She felt him standing behind her. Her eyes looked into the mirror running along the top of the fireplace. She looked into her own green eyes, not surprised to see the desire evident. She saw nothing else except shadows covering the room. She hated that she couldn't see him.
"Yes Angel?"
She felt something cold under the strap of her dress.
"Is this dress yours?"
She shook her head. "It's Cordy's."
"Remind me to buy her a new one." He cut the straps, letting the dress fall to the floor. She saw a blade slide along the floor. He'd used a knife.
"Beautiful." He stated admiringly.
She felt a blush start. She ached to feel him. She wanted him.
"I smell your arousal. You want me to touch you don't you? You want me to take you right now, on the floor, hard and fast. Its been so long since you've been touched....since you have found release. Am I right?"
"Yes..." she whimpered.
"Willow.....would you like to know your punishment?"
She nodded.
"I am planning on teaching you patience. Your body is mine until Spike returns. Then, you will be ours. You will do nothing unless I command it. You will not be allowed to come unless I command it. The ache that you feel now is nothing compared to what you will suffer. You will suffer as we have suffered the last week. It should be a fitting punishment. Now, let's begin."
Willow felt a hand in her hair. Her head was forced back to meet Angel's seeking tongue. It was intoxicating. This was their first kiss. His lips were demanding, but soft. He pulled back leaving her wanting more. His brown eyes looked intensely into hers.
"Do you know what it was like to sit in my room and listen to you and Spike make love? Every moan....every groan...it was unbearable. I heard you begging him to fuck you. Every time, you came with such force. I decided then that it would soon be my name you were shouting..me you were begging for more. I went to sleep each day with your face in my mind...you words in my ears. Now, I finally have you." He reached down and ran a finger along her slit. He brought it back to his mouth, his tongue reaching out and slowly licking at her juices. His eyes never left hers. "So good....so wet. This is exciting you, isn't it?"
She nodded, fascinated at the sight of him tasting her.
"Good...you want to feel my mouth don't you little girl? You want my tongue to lap at you until you come....."
Willow found herself growing more excited with each word he spoke. His lips coming so close, only to fall back again. She felt herself swaying towards him.
Angel noticed her movement and smiled. "No, not yet.....that would be to easy. I think it's time for a game."
"A game?"
"Yes. A game. Face the fire."
Willow saw a scarf appear in front of her eyes. Angel tied it securely.
"There is a game I used to play. You may have heard of it. Do you trust me? was what I knew it as. Willow, do YOU trust me?"
Willow nodded.
"Good. Here's how it works. Put your hands on the mantle. Good girl...now, you can not move them until the game is over. Do you understand? "
"Yes."
"You are trusting me with your body. I can do anything I want to to you, but only with my hands. Those are the rules. Only my hands."
Willow felt his fingers touching her leg. She couldn't see anything. His hands moved all over her body. Teasing, touching, caressing. They were moving quickly and sporadically. She couldn't figure out where he would touch next. This lack of knowledge aroused her as much as the actual feel of him on her skin did. The smooth nail of his thumb raked playfully across her hardened nipples. He twisted one between his fingertips.
"Mine."
His fingers ran down her stomach. They cupped her core. One, then two entering her slowly. His thumb raked over her clit.
"Mine..." he whispered against her neck.
Suddenly, she gasped. She felt his mouth on her breast. His cold tongue reached out and tugged at her nipple. She felt her fingernails curl into her hand, slightly piercing her skin.
"Willow....just something you should know...I never play by the rules."
Willow felt her breath leave her. He trailed his tongue down her body. Soon, it joined his fingers as they played.
"I'm going to taste you now. Remember, don't move." he warned.
His tongue entered her deeply. She thrust forward to meet its invasion. She felt him chuckle against her. "You moved...you'll pay for that later."
"You are so wet...all for me?"
"Hmm....delicious...."
He went back work. His hands went behind her, cupping her ass. He brought her closer to his questing mouth. Willow felt the orgasm building. She tried to hold it off.
"Come for me Willow....say my name."
"Oh...Angel....thank you....yes.....please"
She came, screaming his name, her orgasm ripping through her. Her body pulsed. Willow felt him holding her up. Her knees felt like rubber. She suddenly heard soft clapping behind her.
"Well, Angelus, that was fun. What's act 2 again, mate?"
"Spike!" Willow exclaimed. She moved her hand from the mantle to turn towards her lover. Suddenly, a hand swatted her ass.
"I didn't tell you to move. Spike, I thought I told you to give me time. You were supposed to sit quietly while I did this."
"I got bored." A sullen voice said.
Angel sighed loudly. "You always get bored." He moved his hand to Willow's breast, kneading at the flesh as he spoke. "This wasn't the plan."
"You and your goddamn plans! I haven't seen her in a week. A WEEK! All I want to do is take her bed and fuck her until neither of us can move. Do I get to do that? Nooooo, cause my daft sire decides he want to play another bloody game. I still don't know why we couldn't just beat her and then fuck her senseless. She would never leave us again if we'd done that."
Willow felt a shiver run across her body at his words. (Beating? No....that's a bad thing.)
Angel must have noticed her apprehension. "Spike, Willow is a lady. Not some damn slut. You have to woo a lady...seduce her. No wonder she left if it was ALWAYS slam, bam, thank you ma'am. She is an object of beauty. You need to caress her," his hand ran over her stomach, "thrill her," his teeth ran along her neck, "excite her," his finger touched at her slit, "and most importantly, make her feel desired. Did I not teach you anything in a hundred years?"
Spike was watching Willow's reaction in awe. She had always liked him to be rough with her. She liked it hard and fast and anywhere. Yet, here she was trembling at the poof's touch. His sire was right. She had been trying to please him and not herself. Smiling, he realized that that was all going to change. Quietly. he moved towards the fire, enchanted by her beauty. His all ready hard cock swelled even more. He quickly removed his clothing as he went. Angel watched him, a smile of understanding crossing his handsome face. He moved in front of Willow and brought her mouth to his. Spike stopped behind her. He moved his hand to her, joining Angel's fingers. His mouth spread kisses, licks, and nips along her back, shoulders and legs. Willow gasped into Angel's mouth when she felt Spike join them. She could feel his nude body poised behind her. His touch was exhilarating. She had missed him so much. She couldn't believe that she, Willow Rosenburg, was standing in front of a fireplace with two nude vampires treating her body as though it were priceless.
(Some punishment....) she thought as she surrendered to them both.
Willow felt herself being lifted from the floor. Cold arms carried her away from the warmth of the fire. She found herself being laid gently on the bed. Her mouth met Spike's. The scarf was removed from her eyes. She looked deep into his blue gaze.
"I missed you luv. Promise me you'll never leave me again. I almost went crazy."
"Buffy threatened to stake us both if we didn't quit our worrying. She thought we deserved your leaving." Angel spoke from Willow's side. She looked at them both. They were so attractive. They were both hers. The thought left her dizzy. Her mouth was claimed by Spike's in a passionate kiss.
"Mine" she whispered to him. He winked at her.
"Is my punishment over?" she whispered shyly to Angel.
"Yes."
"Good." She reached over and brought Angel's mouth to hers. Her tongue claiming his. "Mine..." she whispered to him as her hand snaked its way down to cup his erection. She felt Spike move down her body. Soon, his tongue was lapping at her juices. The sensation was too much for her. She came at once. Spike continued to lick at her. She moved her mouth from Angel's. Looking into his eyes, she said, "I want to taste you."
Smiling at the need in her voice, he moved up onto his knees.
She saw his nude body for the first time. He was beautiful. His skin was slightly olive in color...almost like a pale tan. It was a contrast to paleness of Spike. He was bigger than Spike, taller and broader. Her eyes moved lower. (Oh Goddess....) She leaned over and slowly licked at the tip of his cock. He groaned her name as she took him into her mouth. She felt the tip of Spike's cock enter her, sinking deep. She gasped sending Angel a bit deeper into her throat. The men set a rhythm. As Angel left the warmness of her mouth, Spike entered her. She was going crazy. She lost track of how many times she came. They seemed to go all night. Finally, both men came together, filling her body with their come and groaning her name.
Stretching, she smiled and said, "I guess patience is always rewarded. Hmm...I'm sleepy." She fell back on the bed.
The men moved beside her in the bed. Spike on one side, Angel on the
other. Spike tucked her body into his, his arm possessively holding her
to
him. He was her primary mate and felt it his right to hold her while she
slept. Angel faced her, calmly marvelling at the wonder that was Willow.
~Part: 16~ Punished
Spike woke up and noticed two things. One, he was chained naked from a beam in the center of the room. Two, Willow was watching him with a wicked smile on her pretty face.
"Luv....why exactly do you have me chained up?"
"Spike....do you remember the night I left?"
Sadness crossed his handsome face. "I can't forget it."
"You shouldn't. I remembered this morning that you lied to me. You told me nothing happened between you and Angel. I knew, but you didn't know I knew."
"Well, pet, I was trying to protect you."
"Well, luv, we decided that you are partly to blame for my leaving. Thus, you must be punished."
"We, Red?"
"Angelus....why don't you tell Spike what we have in store for him?"
Spike turned his head and saw his sire. There was a gleam in his eye that had been missing. He smiled a smile that Spike remembered all too well. He felt his cock start to harden. It seemed Willow had talked Angelus into playing.
"Well, Spikey....I believe you are the one who said we should "beat and then fuck to death"? Willow really liked that suggestion."
"You always have liked it rough. Angelus told me some wonderful things over breakfast this morning. It seemed suitable, somehow."
Angelus went to the redhead. She hungrily met his mouth with hers. Her tiny hand gripping his cock through the leather pants. When his sire looked at Willow, his features softened just a bit. He was still Angel for her. Willow moaned low in her throat. Spike felt a ripple of jealousy shoot through him. He jerked at the chains, but was unable to break them. His sire looked at him, smirking.
"Ah...poor Spikey wants to play."
"He should have thought about that before lieing to me. After tonight, I bet he thinks twice next time. Angelus," she handed him a small whip, "show me what you were talking about. Make him yours."
**********
Spike felt pain coursing through his body. He could feel the blood gathered on his body. Angelus had always been a brutal bastard. He flinched as he felt a tongue lick across the wounds on his back. He had been steadily whipped, beaten, and taunted for at least an hour. His blue eyes had steadily looked in Willow's green gaze through most of the torture. Her eyes were wide with amazement. He knew his cock was still hard. It ached for release. His damn sire would touch him fleetingly, before continuing with torture. He felt a hard blow to his back. He closed his eyes for the first time since the punishment had began. Startled, he opened them again. Willow was sitting on her knees in front of him. She had a soft look in her eyes.
"Enough." she said quietly. Angelus immediately dropped the whip.
"He is in such pain. Is he always so stubborn?"
"Yeah....I could go on like this all night. It takes forever to break him. That's why I always enjoyed it so."
Willow reached up and kissed Spike's cheek. "Don't lie to me ever again." She gestured to Angelus. "He's yours....just be careful."
"As you wish..."
She crouched back down and took hold of his cock. He watched through half opened eyes as she took his length into her mouth. He grimaced as he felt Angelus slide a finger into his tight ass. It had been so long.....Another finger was added. He shot himself into Willow's open mouth, groaning in disgust at his lack of control. Willow continued to suck and lick at him until he was hard again. She stood up and motioned to Angelus. "Let him down."
The chains were released. Spike grabbed his mate and threw her on the bed. He entered her deeply, his hands clenching around her arms. He felt Angelus's hands on his hips. He halted in his thrusts. He knew what was coming. Angelus thrust into him deeply, sending him into Willow. Willow's eyes were closed and she was whimpering. The pain was blinding, but eventually gave way to pleasure. Angelus started a wild pounding rhythm. Angelus entered him...he entered Willow. He felt his game face slip on as he neared climax. He bit deep into Willow. He felt Angelus bite into him. It was too much. He shot a second load deep into Willow. She came screaming his name. Angelus climaxed with the two of them.
After getting Spike's blood cleaned off of them, they all laid on the
bed sleeping. Willow held Spike, as did Angel. Both holding on to the one
who had brought them all together.
~Part: 17~ Reflections
I can't believe this. I am over 200 years old, yet I am acting like a school boy. I don't know what to feel right now. I love Spike and Willow. I know they love me. Yet, it is awkward. It has been two nights since we got Willow back. That night was fantastic. It was as though we could all read each other's minds. We have shared a bed since, each night as sensational.
Spike and I are doing well. We have gone out with Buffy to hunt the latest bad guys. We talk. Spike is even attempting to teach me how to play that damn playstation. And here I thought I was the one with such patience and maturity. I hate that damn thing. I'm tempted to toss it outside into the trash.
Willow is the problem. Spike is very possessive. He seems to enjoy making
me know that I am her secondary mate. He has scared her away from me. She
and I have not been completely alone since before she left. Even during
her "punishment", he was sitting there watching. After she and I decided
to punish him, it seemed to make him realize he was actually sharing her
now. Spike has never been good at sharing. I wonder if he felt this lost
every time I played with Drusilla. If he did, I can understand his hatred
of me. I hate this. I am jealous of my childe, whom I love, because he
has free access to Willow, whom I also love. Willow is scared to make him
mad. I assume she has seen his anger before. No, she isn't scared of him.
She just seems to want things to remain the same. He would never harm her,
and she knows this. I guess I shouldn't say that Spike is being a selfish
bastard.. If I were Willow's primary mate, my behaviour would probably
be even more obsessive. I don't think I could have shared, even with Spike.
I would have killed him, eliminating the problem. Yesterday, he told me
that I may have Willow's body, her trust, and even her love, but to remember
that HE had her heart, her soul, and her future. It is hard to accept this.
I know I will. It will take time. He has amazingly allowed me in their
lives. I plan to stay there for a few hundred years at least. I do know
that he is going to have leave Willow and I alone sometime. I plan to take
advantage of it, when it happens. Even if I have to make it happen. As
I told her, I want her to scream out my name. Think only of me, even if
it is only for a short time. Sharing is great, but possession is even better.
~Part: 18~ More
Spike leaned forward and kissed Willow's cheek. She spoke his name in her sleep. He leaned against the pillows, watching her chest rise and fall. They had watched "Casablanca" together that evening. Willow had cried at the ending. She had told him she thought it so romantic that Rick had loved Ilsa so much that he made her leave with the man she loved, just so she could be happy. Willow thought that sacrifice he had made was a true gesture of the forever kind of love.
Spike thought it was a dumb ending. If he'd been Rick, he'd have shagged Ilsa senseless until she couldn't remember that creepy guys name. That comment had provoked a fight. Willow said he brought everything down to fucking....that he had no sense of romance. It had gone back and forth until Willow had cried out in frustration.
She told him that Angel had bought her flowers, because the scent had reminded him of her. Angel went to the museum with her...he listened when she spoke. Spike had seen red. Anger had filled him everytime she mentioned his sire's name. He had known better than to let that bastard around his mate. Now, she was comparing them, and he was coming out lacking. Women were always the same... some moonlight, flowers and sweet nothings, and they were happy. That wasn't reality. Angel had been doing those little things to piss him off. Make him pay for the days he had kept Willow to himself. Two weeks they had been living in the house. The sex was great. The friendship was great. It just irritated the hell out of him to have to share.
Willow had noticed the emotions playing across his face and realized
that she had done what she had promised herself that she would never do.
She had compared them. She couldn't do that. They were different as night
and day. Two individual personalities. She loved them both. She had gone
to Spike and apologized the way he understood. They had made sweet, passionate
love on some pillows on the floor in front of the fireplace. Spike had
kissed her tears away. She had opened her heart to him. Fear was in his
heart that he was losing her to Angelus. He couldn't lose her. He wouldn't
lose her. He had to put aside his jealousy and be glad that it was he she
chose as her primary mate. He'd be happy as long as he had her. He hate
to admit that having Angelus back wasn't so bad either.
The Song:
"Want to be full of you
Want to know all of you
Tell me the secrets of your soul
Tell me more
I want to taste your tears
And all that is in between
I'll give you all that I am
And all that I have been
What are we doing here
I've seen this place before
And I want more
I want to see you frightened
And I want to feel you strong
Watch your eyes
open for the morning
And close to cry when I am gone
What are we doing here
Naked on the floor
Cause I want more
So much more
So many hands were lost
In the valley of my spine
So many arms have sworn to love
But given time have said no more
I want to give no reason
To touch your perfect face
I will die between your lips
And live in your embrace
Forever more
What am I doing here
What am I asking for
There is no more"
~Part: 19~ An Evening Out
"Do we really have to go?"
"Quit whining. Yes, we have to go. I promised Buffy."
"But Willow...."
"Spike! Angel! We-are-going! Now deal with it."
"Luv, wouldn't you rather the three of us just go enjoy ourselves?"
"SPIKE! I told you. I have hardly seen Buffy since I got back. I haven't seen Xander at all. When I'm not in school, you two have me tied to the bed."
"I haven't heard you complaining...."
"Angel....please don't start. I want this. It will be a nice evening out with friends. No slaying....no research...just fun."
"Like that will ever happen..."
"I want this to be a night to remember, for everyone guys. We deserve it."
"Well, I know I certainly won't forget it anytime soon...."
"Yeah, no matter how bad we want to..."
Willow took a deep breath and counted to ten. "It's almost time to go. Some last minute reminders: Tyler knows that Buffy is the slayer...."
"Yeah, getting attacked by vampires will convince a guy huh?"
"Can't believe the sod stayed with her. She just might set a record with this one."
"AHEM....as I was saying, he knows about Buffy, but he has no idea that either of you two are vampires. Buffy didn't think she could deal with explaining everything just yet. Xander knows about me and Spike, but he has no idea that Angel has..well, joined us. I want to keep him in the dark as long as possible. I don't think he'll handle it all that well. So, Angel, keep your hands to yourself."
Angel narrowed his eyes. "Wouldn't it be easier to just kill the moron?"
Willow shot him a dirty look and continued, "Let's see, no one know that Cordelia is back except for us."
"I still can't believe you invited that silly girl to join us....."
"Actually, Spike, Cordelia isn't all that bad. I worked with her quite a long time in LA and I very rarely felt the urge to kill her."
"Thank you Angel. OK Cordy is meeting us at the restaurant. I'm so glad that Buffy rented out the entire party room. Anyway, it will be a big surprise when she comes in. And Xander has no idea that Cordy wants him back. I don't feel it is my place to speak for her. So, no comments about that little secret. What am I missing?"
"I don't know how you could have forgotten anything. I feel like I'm about to take a fucking test. It will be like a bloody obstacle course."
"Willow, Spike is right. Maybe we should stay here..."
"NO. I am not facing them all alone! I need you both there. Now, let's go or we'll be late."
"This should be a fun filled evening."
Spike rolled his eyes at Angel's droll comment. Neither of the men were excited about Willow's little evening out. Spike slammed the door, locking it behind him. "Fuck..." he muttered.
He saw Willow's eyes light up with mischief, "Later...and only if you are both very good boys."
**********
Buffy and Willow hugged each other and squealed. The men watched in amazement.
"When was the last time you girls saw each other?" Tyler asked.
Buffy smiled at him. "Three days ago!"
"Are they always so ....." Tyler asked the others.
"Annoyingly girly?" Xander asked. At Tyler's nod, he smiled, "Nah...they had a fight awhile back and didn't really speak for a month. Since then, they've been on super bonding mode."
Angel and Spike moved Willow to the table. Xander watched them, smirking.
"Tyler, you've met Angel and Willow. This is Spike." Spike nodded, his eyes cold.
"Oz had a gig, but he said he'd come by afterwards." Buffy told Willow.
"Damn, slayer, how long do you think we plan on being here?" Spike felt Willow's heel on his foot. He jumped at the force in which she pushed down. "Ouch! Bloody hell, it was just a question..."
Tyler sat next Buffy. "So, Spike, is it? Interesting nick name. How'd you get it?"
The blond leaned forward, mischief in his eyes, "Would you like me to show you?"
He felt a hand hit the back of his head. He turned, and growled lowly at his sire.
"Just joking mate. It was a name the ladies gave me. They said I drove so deep into them ...."
"Would anyone like something to drink? The waitress is here" Willow interrupted, shooting a nasty look at her lover.
"Yeah...sure...." Everyone placed orders.
Tyler attempted to make conversation again. "So, Spike, are you in college?"
"Hell no. Too old for that mate."
"Oh? How old are you, exactly?"
"About a hund..." He felt a sharp kick on his leg. Startled he looked at the slayer. She was shaking her head wildly. "24. I'm 24."
Tyler noticed that Angel was looking over the menu, a bored look on his face."And you Angel?"
"Huh? What?"
"How old are you?"
"Well, what year is it? I'll have to think.." he felt Willow's hand squeeze his thigh the same time he felt the kick from under the table. (What? Oh....I almost forgot) "26. I'm 26."
"How did you and Spike become friends with Buffy and the others? I mean, you two definitely weren't in high school with them."
Spike leaned into Willow, whispering in her ear, "Please...just a nibble. Just enough to shut him up? I'm hungry...."
She looked at him and tried to hold down a smile. (Poor Tyler...he was trying hard to get the others talking. Buffy must have threated him before this started. At least her man listened to her.) She decided that she might have to kill Spike and Angel if they ever made it through this evening.
Xander was sitting back in his chair holding onto the table and waiting for some food. He was hungry. He also couldn't wait for the opportunity to let Willow know that he knew her dirty little secret. It was bad enough one deadboy, but two? The thought made him grimace. He leaned his head back and saw the door open. Surprised at seeing who it was, he let go of the table sending himself and the chair flying backwards.
"Why, Xander, what a surprise. I really hadn't expected you to just fall at my feet so quickly."
"Cordelia?" Buffy and Xander said at the same time.
Cordelia smiled at the stunned looks on their faces. "In the flesh." She saw an attractive guy with brown hair sitting next to Buffy. "You must be Tyler."
Tyler nodded at the attractive girl. "Yes. And you are Cordy?"
"Cordelia Chase at your service. Well, Buff, I can't believe you haven't run this one off yet. You must be going for a record." She looked at Tyler, smiling, "Buffy has never been able to keep a man for very long. She claims its because she is the slayer, but puh-leez. Have you seen how she dresses lately? And that hair? Ugh. You are a brave man. I mean, the last guy she was serious about, she sent to hell for like 100 years."
At Tyler's confused look, the others laughed. "Cordy, you are such a kidder. Why don't you sit down!" Willow said to her new friend.
"What-ever. To think I actually missed this place. You people are still so weird." She took a seat beside Angel, across from Xander.
Tyler found himself being kissed by Buffy. "Don't listen to Cordelia. She likes to think she is still the most popular girl in school, so above us it isn't funny. Underneath it all, she isn't that bad." Buffy whispered in his ear. Tyler just nodded.
Xander set his chair back up and sat down, staring at Cordelia. He was surprised how glad he was to see her. She noticed him looking and smiled a serene smile.
"So, Willow. Buffy told me that you share a house with both Spike and Angel. Which one exactly is your boyfriend?"
Willow felt herself blushing. She started to stutter....Spike and Angel started smirking at her. Everyone watched her, waiting for her answer.
Buffy watched, hiding a smile. Finally, taking pity on her friend, she told Tyler, "They are all just very good friends. You know, like the three musketeers."
Xander muttered, "Yeah, the three musketeers that fuck." Both Cordy and Buffy heard him and kicked him sharply under the table.
"Hey...what was that for?" he whined.
"Shut up tact boy..." Cordelia said through clenched teeth.
Spike suddenly stood up. "I'll be right back. I'm getting hung...thirsty. I need a bit to drink. I'm going for a bloody mary. Anything for you ducks?" He asked Willow.
"Nothing for me thanks. Wait, Spike....it better not be a real one!" She pulled him down to her. "The waitresses name was Mary...keep your teeth to yourself!" she whispered in his ear.
He smiled at her and winked. "Love you too Red."
After the drinks arrived, conversation began to flow more readily. As the food was eaten, it was decided that the group would meet back up at Willow's house. Oz had called telling them that he would be unable to make it. He and Devon were going out after the show. The bill was paid. Everyone piled into cars and headed to Willow's house.
"Why the hell did you ask them over?"
"I didn't want the evening to end. It has been so much fun. And did you see the sparks between Cordelia and Xander? I knew there was still something there. Besides, we have all night. They won't be over forever. It will be fun. I promise."
Angel smiled. "Willow...."
"Yes?"
"Can we play a game?" he asked eagerly.
Willow looked at him for a moment. "What were you thinking?"
"Well, I've heard truth or dare is very eye opening. There are several secrets flying around..."
Willow had to laugh. She hadn't played that game since Jesse was alive. She always got stuck with awful dares.
"That might be fun...We'll have to see what the others say though."
"As that silly girl says, What-ever." Spike mumbled to himself.
**********
"This is a great house." Tyler said, looking around. "How long have you lived here?"
"About two weeks." Willow replied. "It was a present."
"Nice present..." Tyler muttered.
Willow smiled and went to join the others in the living room. Xander was staring at Cordelia, Cordelia was ignoring Xander, Buffy was enjoying her night off, Tyler wouldn't stop trying to talk to everyone, and Angel and Spike looked ready to murder everyone. (Time for some action....)
Willow whistled loudly. Five pairs of eyes looked at the petite redhead. "Now that I've got your attention, would anyone like something to drink?" Nods and murmurs. "Spike, get them their drinks. Angel, why don't you help him."
The vampires stood quickly, relieved to have an excuse to leave the room.
Buffy watched their retreat and had to laugh. "Geez, Wills, I don't think they're having fun." Tyler moved beside her on the couch.
"Now, Buffy. They probably think we are a bunch of kids. How much fun would you have with a bunch of twelve year olds?" Tyler asked his girlfriend. "The age thing has to be a killer."
"You don't know the half of it..."Cordy said.
The men came back with drinks and snacks. Willow smiled at how domestic they seemed.
"So, Angel...Spike. Buffy told me you two go back a long ways. When did you two meet?" Tyler asked.
Spike leaned into Willow. "Did the damn slayer tell him to ask all these bloody questions? I am fast losing my patience with the welp."
Angel smiled at the boy. "I ran into Spike in London. We hit it off, became friends, and the rest is history."
"ANCIENT history," Xander put in, receiving glares from everyone except the oblivious Tyler.
"Hey....does anyone want to play a game?" Buffy asked, before her boyfriend could ask another question. She was even growing irritated with him. "It seems stupid to just sit around. Do you have any games Wills?"
Willow looked at Angel and smiled. "Not really, Buffy. But there are seven of us here. I'm sure if we tried, we could come up with something."
"Like what?"
"In this house? I'd vote for hide and seek." Xander said, taking a handful of chips.
"Maybe tag?" Buffy offered grimacing slightly.
Cordy looked at her redhead friend and noticed her eyes locked with Angel's. She had to smile. She knew exactly what they were thinking about playing. Hell, she'd been the one to explain the high points of the game to Angel after he had heard it mentioned in a movie. The poor sheltered vampire had never taken part in it before. She had refused to play with him, explaining that you had to have several people for it to be fun. She also told him it was even better if the people had been keeping secrets or had things to hide. He must have remembered. She winked at Willow, when she caught her eye.
"Why don't we play truth or dare?" she asked innocently.
"Truth or dare?" several voices questioned.
"I like it. Can I go first?" Tyler asked the room.
Everyone nodded. He thought for a moment. "Angel."
Angel looked at the boy surprised that he was the first one questioned. "Yes?"
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
Tyler sat back on the couch, his arm settling on his girlfriend's shoulders. An interested look crossed his face.
"What were the circumstances behind your becoming a vampire?" Six pairs of eyes looked at Tyler in shock. He heard a gasp come from Buffy. He looked at her and smiled, "What? Did you think I wouldn't notice his lack of breathing? I've been with you enough lately to tell a vampire pretty quickly. I made him and Spike when they entered the room tonight. I kept asking leading questions, but you just couldn't tell me. I don't know the story behind them, but I trust you. If you have no problems with them, I don't either. I'm just curious about them. I mean, geesh," he looked around the room, "did you all think I was stupid or something?"
A period of stunned silence followed Tyler's speech. Finally, Spike started to laugh. Soon, everyone else joined in.
"Slayer, I think you should keep this one."
Buffy looked at Tyler and said, "You're amazing". She then pulled him to her in a searing kiss. He pulled away looking a bit dazed.
"Umm...yeah...Angel, I think I asked you a question?"
Angel smiled. "I got drunk, met a beautiful blonde, she bit me and I was turned." The others looked at him. "Is that all? That's all we get? Oh boy, just wait....we'll get you." Xander said, rubbing his hands together.
Willow rolled her eyes. "Angel, it's your turn."
"Oh..." he smiled "Cordelia..."
"Truth."
"But, I didn't even ask the question! That's no fair," he whined.
"Angel...."
"Fine. Miss C, tell us the REAL reason you came back to Sunnydale."
Xander leaned forward, intrigued by the blush that spread over the former cheerleader's face.
"I hated LA. So, I came back."
Angel looked at the group. "What do we do if we know their not being truthful?"
"Well, we play it that they either tell the truth, the FULL truth, or they have to do the dare." Buffy said, a smile forming on her lips.
Angel looked back at Cordelia. "Think about it Cor....a dare? or the truth?"
Cordelia took a deep breath, "IreallyreallymissedyouguysandafterleavingIrealizedthatIstillmightbeinlovewithXander." She said in rush. "Buffy....Truth or dare?"
Xander sat back in amazement. Had Cordelia just said that she might be in love with him? The night was looking much brighter.
"Dare." The slayer replied recklessly.
"Hmm....I dare you to....."
Cordelia paused, thinking. "OK. I dare you to kiss Xander."
Xander looked at Buffy, "No way!" They both said together.
Cordelia looked at her ex-boyfriend, "What? She was always your fantasy. Now, kiss her."
Buffy went over and kissed Xander's cheek. "There" she said smiling. "My turn." She looked around the room. "Willow."
"Oh drat....um....truth? No...no....dare. Yes, dare." Willow replied.
"OK..I dare you to..."
"NO...make it truth."
"Would you just make up your bloody mind all ready, luv?"
"Truth Buffy."
Buffy looked at her friend. "I have so many things I want to ask, but one thing keeps coming to mind." she smiled slightly, "It has actually worried me a bit. Just how close are you and Drusilla now?"
Willow was surprised at the intense expression on her friend's face. "Well, we are friends, sort of. She calls me weekly. She is very nice, once you get past the craziness. I really like her, as weird as that sounds. I'm even planning to go see her over the summer."
"So, you think she may be your best friend eventually...after me?"
Willow's eyes widened. "Buffy....you'll always be my best friend. Have you been worried about this?" She got up and pulled her friend into a hug. "Drusilla is just a friend. You are a part of me. Don't ever worry about being replaced. OK?"
The slayer smiled. "I promise."
Willow sat back down. "Geesh...Oh, my turn." She looked at Xander. "Xander, truth or dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to tell Cordelia what you told me New Years Eve this year."
Xander looked at his friend. "You don't mean..."
Willow smiled innocently. "Yes, that."
"Wills, you are dead.." Xander promised.
"OK....I'll let you take her into the closet so you can speak privately. After all, you two have such a good history with closets."
The two teens got up and walked into the closet. Spike leaned into his lover and whispered, "Truly evil, Red....I love it."
During Xander and Cordelia's absence, more drinks were gotten as was more snack food. Willow got some blankets out for everyone. The house could get rather cold at night. She didn't want anyone to catch a cold. Finally, the two teens left the closet. They re-entered the room looking flustered. Cordelia's hair was slightly mussed.
Willow smiled, "See, I told you. The closet does wonders for your relationship."
Xander sat down, pulling Cordy beside him. He looked at Willow's smirk. "Spike. Truth or dare."
Spike looked at the boy, his eyes narrowing. He didn't much like his smile. "Truth."
"Are you trying to turn Willow into Drusilla?" Xander asked seriously.
"What? Willow is nothing like Dru, boy."
"Not now. But Dru was not always some crazy nut either."
Spike growled. "What the hell are you really asking whelp?"
"Hell, I know about you and Angel and Willow. As Tyler said, how stupid do you think I am? I don't care. Don't tell me about it, and I'm cool as long as Wills is happy. I just want to make sure you two aren't playing some sick game with her like you both did with Dru."
Spike ran a hand through his hair. "I had nothing to do with Dru until AFTER Angelus got through with her. I love Willow. I don't want her to be some raving lunatic that I always have to look after. Does that answer your bloody question?"
"Yes. I had to know. No offense and all. I mean, don't bite me. Please?"
Spike grimaced, "I wouldn't think about it."
"Spike," he looked into Willow's green eyes, "it's your turn."
His eyes located Tyler, "So, Slayer's whipped pup...I guess that leaves you to me. Truth or dare chap?"
"Truth." Tyler replied, not sure he would like any dare the blond vampire could come up with.
"What do you think about our little gang here?"
Tyler smiled. "You take some getting used to, but I can feel the love and friendship underneath all the sarcasm and zingers. I like it. It feels like a family. My turn...."
"Xander, truth or dare?"
"Me again? Geez, truth this time."
"Was Cordelia your first?"
Xander felt a blush spreading over his face. "No...she and I have never...we uh...NO. She wasn't." A thought suddenly struck him. He looked at Willow nestled between her two vampire lovers. "Wills, you know what?"
"What?"
"We are truly weird people."
"Huh?"
"Do you realize that the only people I've had sex with were a psycho slayer and a demon? And here you are shacking up with not one but TWO members of the living dead. Don't you think that a bit weird?" He and Willow shared a private smile.
Suddenly, he felt a punch on his arm.
"I know about that skanky ho Faith, but who the fuck is this demon bitch?"
"Cordelia, it isn't your turn. Just hush." He told her (And if I am lucky, it will not be your turn for the rest of the evening.). "Buffy, Truth or dare..."
"Truth"
"Are you jealous that Willow has Angel?"
The slayer thought about it. "No. She's happy, he's happy, I'm happy. I have Tyler. Angel and I would never work out. We were able to realize that and move on, keeping our friendship. My turn." She looked at Willow and smiled evilly. "Willow...truth or dare?"
"Goddess, Buffy can't you pick someone else? Truth."
Buffy leaned forward eagerly. "Well, since it is no longer a big secret....I am dieing to know....what is it like with BOTH Spike and Angel?"
Cordelia leaned forward to listen to her friend's answer. Even Tyler and Xander looked a bit curious. Willow felt a blush begin, as Angel and Spike hid their own curiosity.
"Buffy....I can't believe you asked me this."
"Sorry...I want to know."
"OK...It's a bit hard to describe." She closed her eyes, thinking. "This is going to sound stupid, but I can't think of anything else. It's sort of like when you go to an amusement park.."
"Amusement park?" Xander said.
"Shut up and let me talk! Like I was saying, an amusement park. Spike is definitely a roller coaster. Fast, a bit rough, slow build up and then wham! non stop action....every time he touches me, it is that feeling like when you are right at the top of a hill and are about to just speed down...I always feel butterflies in my tummy. Angel is like a fun house. I never know exactly what to expect. It is like walking through a dark corridor and not knowing exactly what is behind each door. I know it entirely up to me which door I choose. I feel more in control, but there is always that lack of control in the back of my mind. It can be slow and sweet or it can be fast and rough. Is it never exactly the same one time to the next. And well, them together is utterly breath taking."
Spike pulled Willow close to him, kissing her. Angel took her hand in his, and slowly began to rub circles on her flesh.
Buffy and Cordelia both sat back and sighed. "Wow. So, its like a roller coaster going through a fun house." Buffy clarified.
"Yeah..." Willow whispered softly.
Xander looked at Tyler, "I somehow don't think I'll be heading to Disneyland anytime soon."
Willow smiled. "My turn. My Angel....truth or dare?"
Angel smiled at his lover. "Dare..." he whispered, looking into her eyes.
She thought a moment. She remembered Buffy and Cordelia's curiosity. "I dare you to kiss Spike for two minutes."
"Oh God...I think I need to go get something else to eat." Xander groaned, jumping to his feet. Tyler quickly joined him.
Buffy and Cordelia watched, wide eyed.
Angel moved in front of Willow, reaching for Spike. Willow leaned back, letting him perform his dare. His tongue slowly licked an outline around his childe's lips. He heard Spike growl. Their tongues met, battling for dominance. Out of habit, Spike pulled away and claimed Willow's mouth, as Angel's mouth went to her neck. Angel's hand gently caressed her breasts through her shirt. She moaned into Spike's mouth. She felt Angel placing small bites along her throat. She felt cool air touching her legs as Spike's hand journeyed up under her skirt. Her hand reached down and grabbed at his erection through his jeans. In the back of her mind, she heard a loud gasp, reminding her of their audience. She pulled herself away from Spike, ignoring his warning growl. She briefly kissed Angel, and rearranged her clothes. She looked up into her friends' astonished stares.
"Sorry.." she said weakly. "We...I sort of got lost in the moment, a bit carried away."
Buffy had felt herself growing aroused while watching her friends. She stood abruptly, and called out, "Tyler. Let's go. It's getting late and I still need to do a patrol."
Cordelia pulled herself back together enough to ask Xander for a ride home. They both had a lot of serious talking to do. After what she had just witnessed, she knew they'd have to find a closet.
The teens said their goodbyes and left. Willow looked at her men.
"That went well."
"Better than I thought, luv. But, really, a roller coaster? It isn't always that fast and rough." Spike whined to her.
Angel rolled his eyes. "It was fun Willow. I'm glad they left though. Now, what was that you promised if we were good boys? I think we were very good boys."
"You're right mate. I didn't even kill the moron, no matter how tempting the idea. You owe us luv."
Spike's eyes met Angel's as they turned to her. They slowly started
moving toward her, as if she were prey they were stalking. Shrieking, she
ran up the stairs. Smiling, they followed.
~Part: 20~ Life & Death
Willow heard Spike and Angel arguing in the living room. She smiled
softly, thinking how much like children they seemed sometimes. There was
silence, then loud beeps and explosions. They were playing video games
with Tyler and Xander. She looked at Buffy and Cordelia, who wore similar
looks of disbelief.
"Men..." Cordelia said, rolling her eyes.
"No, boys." Buffy corrected.
Willow had to laugh. Things were going well for them all. Cordelia and
Xander had slowly begun to rebuild their relationship. They were taking
things
slowly, each wanting to make sure it was the right thing to do. Buffy
and Tyler were great. Tyler had been accepted by the group easily after
their
evening of playing games two weeks previously. Since then, the whole
group got together several times throughout the week.
"Guys....I've got something to tell you both."
Cordelia and Willow looked at their friend. Buffy had a small smile
on her face. Her eyes shown with love. "Tyler asked me to marry him....and
I said
yes."
"OH!!" Both girls shrieked and pulled the slayer into their embrace.
"Buffy! I'm so happy for you. This is great. Do you think it is too sudden?"
"Who cares Wills? I want to see the ring!" Cordelia reached for Buffy's hand.
Buffy looked at Willow. "I know he and I have only been together for
less than four months, but it feels right. He makes me so happy, Willow.
I feel
like I've found what you have with Spike. I mean, we can almost read
each other's minds. It is such a great feeling. I don't want to ever lose
it. And
besides, I may die tomorrow, so I should do my best to be happy today.
Right?"
Willow smiled. "Yes. You're right. I AM happy for you. I just wanted
to make sure it was the real thing. I'm glad it is. It is so remarkable
to see two
people so in love joined together. So, when's the wedding?"
"We haven't decided. There is so much to still talk about. I need to
call Mom and tell her. Ever since she moved away from Sunnydale last month,
she called daily. Now that I actually have news for her, she ignores
me." Buffy smiled.
"Willow, you will be my maid of honor. Cordelia, would you be my bridesmaid?"
"Well, it depends. I mean, what color are we talking about here? I am so not wearing lavender or yellow...."
The girls laughed as they discussed Buffy's news.
* * * * *
The guys listened to the shrieks and laughter coming from the kitchen.
"What's that about mates?"
Tyler smiled. "I'm thinking Buffy just told them that she and I are engaged."
The men looked at him.
"Oh...." They all said.
"That's cool. Buffster in white...flowers...good food.."Xander trailed off.
"Penguin suits..." Spike said, grimacing. Xander and Angel had a look
of horror on their faces. "Hearing those girls talk about this nonstop
until the
actual event... Damn, thanks a lot boy."
Tyler smiled. "Sorry guys. Hey, who's turn is it?"
Angel and Xander began to loudly argue. Spike sat back and listened to the girls' voices drifting in from the kitchen.
* * * * *
Angel had gone on patrol with Tyler and Buffy. Things had been quiet
around Sunnydale until the previous week. It seemed that several new vamps
had come to town, ready to take over. Buffy needed the extra help.
Spike looked at Willow, loving the way the light from the fire played on
her hair.
(She's so beautiful...and she's mine. Well, I do share her with the poof, but she belongs to me, not him.)
"What?" Willow asked suddenly.
"Huh?" Spike snapped out of his daze.
"You've been staring at me for five minutes. Why?'
"Just thinking how beautiful you are. Wondering what you're doing with a sorry chap like me."
Willow smiled. "Thank you. Well, I thought it was obvious why I was with you?"
"No...why don't you tell me."
"You're kind of cute, for a demon."
"Willow...." Spike's voice took on threatening tone.
"Geez, can't a girl tease? FIne. I love you madly, completely, deeply.
You are my true soul mate. You bring me happiness, joy, anger, love. Oh,
and
you're great in bed." She leaned over and kissed him fully.
Spike looked into her eyes. "Do you envy Buffy?"
"What?"
"Her and that welp are getting married. They will most likely live out a long, happy life with little brats running around. Do you envy that?"
"Spike....I love you. I knew going into this that I would be giving
up alot of things, marriage, kids...but look at all I gain? I have a lover
who would
kill for me, literally. I have another lover who feels the same. I
am going to have you and Angel for eternity. Trust me, marriage is not
that
important. It is really a silly ceremony, in my opinion. Definitely
an ancient practice. Nope, I wouldn't want to go through all of that even
if I weren't
involved with the living dead...."
"So, you don't want to marry me?" Spike whispered.
"It is completely a waste of t...what did you say?"
Spike turned away from her. "I was just thinking that you might want
to go through that silly ceremony...it seems like every little girl in
America
dreams of it. I just wanted you to be able to have that dream..."
"Spike..." Willow took his face in her hands, turning him to look at her. "You're babbling."
"Yeah..."
"What exactly are you saying?"
"Well, luv, I want everyone to know that you belong to me. I thought you might want to claim me too...."
"I all ready have, Blondie."
"You are not making this easy pet."
"Sorry...I'm listening...."
"Willow....would you do me the extreme honor of becoming my bride?"
"Yes." Willow's mouth claimed his. "Are you sure Spike? I mean, you
don't have to do this. It seems sort of silly. I mean, a vampire marrying
a
human."
"A man marrying his woman. Besides, then you'll have to wear my ring. It will let all those damn mortals know you are taken."
Willow laughed. "I knew there was a reason for this. You just want to brand me."
Spike smiled. He saw the happiness in Willow's eyes. He knew he had done the right thing.
"Wait....what about Angel?"
"What about him?"
"Well, do you think he might be upset?"
"Luv, he plans to be my best man. He also plans to repeat the vows along with me."
"You mean....it will be like I'm marrying him too? Spike! This is America. We don't marry more than one person over here."
"Red, I am your primary mate. It will be my ring on your finger. Angel
wants to do this, for himself. He wants to prove his commitment to us.
Let him
be, luv. Oh..sorry, pet, but no church. OK?"
Willow smiled. She felt tears form in her eyes. "Oh Goddess...This is just too much. I love you Spike." She hugged him to her.
"I love you, Red....forever."
* * * * *
Willow and Spike were married the following week. The small ceremony
was performed outdoors, at midnight. Buffy and Cordelia cried. Giles still
couldn't believe that Willow had apparntly tamed one of the most vicious
vampires of all time. The council had requested updates on the situation
periodically. They too were amazed. Angel had stood beside Spike, repeating
the vows, his eyes never leaving Willow's happy face. Their connection
was now legal, according to the state of California.
Drusilla had been overjoyed at the news that she would now have a little
sister. She had wanted to come to the ceremony, but Nic had talked her
into staying in Paris. Willow, Spike, and Angel had decided to make
their intended trip over there during the summer their honeymoon. Dru was
ecstatic. She had decided that she would have to throw them a lavish
party to celebrate. The vampiress never seemed to stop surprising Willow.
Buffy and Tyler had decided to wait until the fall for their wedding.
They were thinking that August may be a good month. They, too, planned
an
outdoor ceremony, at night so Angel and Spike could attend. Surprisingly,
Tyler had asked Spike to be his best man. The blond vampire had been
quite stunned, but he had accepted. The welp wasn't that bad, even
if he was dumb enough to tie himself to the slayer.
It had been a week since their wedding. Willow still thought that Angel
seemed a bit unhappy with his placement as secondary in their relationship.
He still seemed happier than he had before, so Willow had decided not
to dwell on it. She had spent the week that was traditionally her honeymoon
getting ready for finals. She couldn't believe that she and Spike had
only realized their feelings less than six months ago. She didn't think
she could
possible be anymore happy than she was now. Spike and Angel had gone
out to feed. She knew she shouldn't worry. They hadn't killed any of their
victims, just taking enough to be satisfied. She still had fifty pages
to read about the American Revolution, and she was procrastinating as much
as
possible. The ringing of the phone snapped her out of her reverie.
"Hello...Oh, hi Dru....What's wrong?"
Willow listened to her friend. The smile slowly left her face, replaced by a puzzled look.
"What does that mean? Dru....what does it mean?"
The door opened. Spike and Angel came in. They both sensed Willow's
distress and went to her. Spike went behind her, his arms going around
her
waist and pulling him toward him.
"Dru! You are scaring me...What does it mean? OK...you're right. Thanks....I will." She hung up the phone.
"What is it Willow?" Angel asked softly.
Willow looked at them, tears of frustration building in her eyes. She whispered, " I don't know."
"Baby....talk to us. What did Dru say?"
"It doesn't make sense. She had a vision. She said she saw shadows covering
Buffy....Death was there and Buffy was willingly walking towards it.
Dru said that only the fire that burns between dark and light could
save the slayer. She didn't say how she knew or even what it meant. She
didn't
know. Miss Edith told her that she should tell me right away. She said
she personally wouldn't care if the icky old slayer did die, but she knew
it
would hurt me. What do you think it all means? Does it mean anything?
I'm probably over analyzing again right?" She looked at the two vampires
hopefully.
"Luv, Dru's visions may seem strange and cloudy but they are usually dead on."
"It's you." Angel said quietly.
"What?"
"You are the one that can save Buffy. The fire is you. Spike and I are
the darkness and light. You will have to save Buffy from whatever this
threat
is."
"Fuck no. My Willow is not putting herself in danger to save a bloody slayer. If this one dies, another will be called."
Willow pulled out of Spike's arms and looked at him in horror. "Another
one? This is BUFFY we are discussing. She is my best friend. When whatever
happens, happens, I WILL be there. I WILL save her, if it is in my
power to do so. I thought you liked her! How can you be so cruel?"
Spike looked at her, his eyes cold. "I'm a demon luv. Remember? I tolerate
the slayer for you. I tolerate them all for you. They are enjoyable enough
for company, but they are not my friends. And I will not let you risk
your life, if that is what it comes down to, to save the slayer."
"Spike..." Angel warned.
"You won't allow me? I have you know Mr. William the fucking Bloody
that I am my own person. You do not own me. Just because I am your mate
does not mean you can make decisions for me! I am not DRU!"
"No you bloody well aren't! I never had these problems with Dru. Willow,
you wear my ring...it is my bite on your neck...you are mine. I will not
allow
it."
"GET OUT!" Willow yelled at her husband. "Please, just go. I need to
be alone. I need to think. I have to figure this out. You aren't helping,
so just
leave."
Spike turned and headed toward the door. "Fine. Whatever. Do it your
way. You always do. But this time Spike will not go along with it. Find
me
when you change your mind." He left, slamming the door.
"Angel?" Willow whispered.
Angel turned and took her into his arms, holding her tightly, offering
her comfort. "It will be all right Willow. You'll see. We'll figure this
out. We'll save
Buffy and you WILL NOT die. Give him time to think. He'll be back.
He loves you."
Willow just cried, allowing Angel to soothe away her fears.

Willow sat the window, staring into the night. It had been three days
since Spike had left. Despite Angel's promise, he had not returned. He
hadn't
called. She hadn't even felt him watching her like he had after their
other argument. She felt as though part of her had been torn out. Only
one
positive thing had come from the whole fiasco. She and Angel had finally
been able to spend some together alone. It had been nice. If it hadn't
been for Angel, she didn't know how she could have dealt with Spike's
departure. She was very lucky to have him. They had thought over what
Drusilla had told her. They had finally decided to just wait and see
what happened. Neither of them could figure out what exactly would come
after
Buffy. Willow knew that she would have to do this, even if it meant
losing Spike. Tears filled her eyes. She didn't think she could live without
him.
She knew that everything he had said was true. She had known, in her
heart, that truth since the beginning. She really shouldn't have been
surprised. He was, after all, a demon. He could never rid himself of
that. She didn't want him to. It made him the Spike that she loved...and
loved to
hate. Her mind brought his face to her closed eyes. (Goddess.....I
miss him so much)
Angel watched Willow. He had enjoyed their days together. Their nights
had been good too. He knew she missed Spike. He waited for the jealousy
to hit, but all he felt was acceptance. He accepted that Spike came
first to her. She loved him too, very deeply. Unfortunately, he had run
away to
LA and left her for Spike to claim. (He claims her, even marries the
poor girl, then runs away. Typical Spike. And here he always said I was
the
runner. His feelings scare the hell out of him. I understand. I don't
want to even consider a future without Spike and Willow at my side. If
anything
were to happen to her.....but I know why she feels that she has to
save Buffy. I won't let her die. I honestly don't think she will have to.
Dru's
ramblings never mentioned that the fire would go out. I do know that
we need Spike. Things aren't the same without his cocky attitude and
possessive nature. Willow isn't the same. Also, Buffy will need the
fire that burns between dark and light. If Spike is gone, there is no light.
I guess
he's going to force me to go and bring him home.) At this thought,
a wicked smile crossed the vampire's mouth. (Look out Spikey...Daddy's
coming.)

"What the bloody hell are you doing here?" A pissed off Spike demanded of Angel.
"It's time to come home." Angel said simply.
"I don't think so. I'm perfectly content to sit here and drink myself to oblivion."
"From the smell, I'd say you'd all ready been doing that Spike."
"Sod off, mate. Go back to the little woman. Bet you've been loving
this. You get to play sensitive brood boy while I look like the damn enemy.
Go
away." Spike said taking a drink from his bottle.
"You can either come willingly or I can make you. It is your choice,
pet." Angel said. "I am personally hoping on the latter. I'd give anything
to kick
your ass right now for what you've put us all through."
"Go to hell, Peaches."
The bottle was pulled away from him. He felt himself falling as it came
in contact with his head. His game face slid on as he stood and faced
Angelus.
"I can smell her on you. She didn't mourn me for too long before jumping into your bed, did she?"
"She realized what a real man is. Begging me to fuck her....crying for
me to allow her release...completely insatiable." His face flew back as
Spike hit
him. (This is more like it.)
The men fought each other, hitting and kicking. Soon, blood flowed from
them both. Spike couldn't get the image of Willow and Angel out of his
mind. Angel took advantage of his weakness and got behind him, pinning
him easily to the ground.
"Thought you didn't want her Spike. What's wrong if I have a taste? She is delicious."
"You bastard. You probably planned the whole thing. You wanted to play
the god damn shining knight. Had to get me out of the way." He split blood
on to the ground.
"Spike...." Angel's voice softened. "We missed you. Willow is slowly
wasting away. She won't eat...she cries your name in her sleep...we need
you.
So, quit being so damn stubborn and come with me."
"She cries for me?" Spike couldn't conceal the happiness that this brought him. "Ok. Get off of me. I'll come, but I won't let her die."
"Neither will I."
"You can get off now." Spike said, eager to go back to his Willow.
"I don't think so William....You didn't go home when I ordered you to. You also hit me. I think you need to be punished for that." Angel said silkily.
Spike found himself growing hard. It had been three days without any
contact. He felt Angelus's teeth bite into his neck roughly. A hand cupped
his
erection. He felt his head being forced down, as his jeans were pulled
off. Angel pushed into him deeply. After a few deep thrusts, Angel came
with
a groan. Spike felt his own release at the same time.
Angel kissed the side of Spike's face. "Don't disobey me again. Now, get dressed. Willow will be worried."

"Hey Honey....I'm home."
Willow looked up at the voice. "SPIKE!" she cried and ran into his arms, holding him tight.
Spike held her, her scent soothing him. She pulled back and took in his appearance. He looked like shit.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Oh....just a little lesson."
"What kind of lesson?"
"Daddy always knows best." Spike said, looking back at Angel.
"Angel! Did you go beat some sense into Spike?" Willow asked, smiling.
Angel met her eyes. "Don't worry, I'm sure it won't last long. By tomorrow, he'll be cursing me again."
Willow hugged the dark haired vampire. "Thank you." she whispered in
his ear. She knew it hadn't been easy for him to bring Spike back. He had
done it for her.
"No problem. I'd better go. I'm meeting Buffy for patrol. Be good. I'll be back by dawn" He kissed her thoroughly and left.
Spike watched the scene frowning. It seemed his absence had brought the two closer together. (Should make things interesting)
"Pet, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ever left. I was just so mad."
"No, you shouldn't have. You knew better, but, then again, so did I.
Let's not worry about it. I missed you. Angel and I have decided to just
wait
and see what happens. He doesn't think my life is in jeopardy. I tend
to trust him. Nothing has happened yet, and it has been several days. I
hope
that Drusilla just had a mixed up vision. Anyway, time will tell. Now,
let's get you cleaned up."
Spike grinned and followed Willow up the stairs. He liked watching her
climb up ahead of him. He felt his cock harden. He felt the need to reclaim
her. He had to show the Poof that he was back and that Willow was still
his.

Willow heard the doorbell ringing. She got out of bed, careful not to disturb Spike and Angel. She crept downstairs and opened the door.
"Buffy? What's wrong?"
Buffy's eyes were dead, void of their usual humor. Willow had never seen her friend so lifeless.
"Tyler..." was all Buffy said before she broke down in tears. Willow pulled her into a hug. She led her into the living room and made her sit down.
"Now, what happened? Did you and Tyler have a fight?"
Buffy wrapped her arms around herself and looked into the fire. She shook her head no.
Willow heard a noise and looked up to see Spike moving behind her. She
put her finger to her lips, motioning for him to be quiet. Angel came in
and
joined Spike.
"Buffy...please tell me what happened. I can't help you if I don't know."
Buffy took a deep breath. "Last night, Tyler and I celebrated our four
month anniversary. It was so sweet. We talked about the wedding...made
plans. After dinner, he came back to my place. We ...well..you know.
Afterward, he had to go home. He had finals to study for. He didn't want
to
leave, but I told him he needed to go. He needed to study. I kissed
him. He told me he loved me....that he'd love me forever." Buffy started
to cry
again.
Willow waited, knowing her friend would continue when she could.
"I got a call this morning. It was Tyler's mother. She was at the hospital...Tyler....Tyler died early this morning."
"NO!" Willow cried. She reached over and held on to Buffy, tears forming in her own eyes. "How..." she whispered. "Vampires?"
Buffy laughed sharply. "No. A drunk driver. Ran his car off the road
into a tree. He....didn't die until he got to the hospital....his mom said
he made
her promise to call me...to tell me that he would always love me....Oh
Willow..."she held on to her friend as they both cried over the loss of
Tyler.
Angel and Spike looked at each other sadly and left the room, giving the girls time to be alone and grieve.
"Buffy...will you stay here tonight?" Willow asked her friend.
"I'd like that....I don't think I can be alone right now. Oh Willow....what am I going to do? It hurts so much."
Willow looked at her friend. "I don't know. I suppose you will hurt
for a long time. One day, you'll be able to remember him without the hurt.
He loved
you. It was a terrible accident, and I am so sorry. He was a good guy."
Buffy smiled through her tears. "Yes, he was. I miss him so much all
ready. Am I jinxed? Is that part of the curse of the slayer? Am I always
going to
fall in love with someone only to have torn away from me? Everyone
I love seems to leave me."
Willow didn't know how to answer her friend. She couldn't believe Tyler
was gone. Only yesterday, he had been in the living room, laughing and
talking to her. She knew that Buffy was hurting. She wished that she
could do something for her friend, but she knew that Buffy would have to
work through this in her mind first. (I can be here for her....when
she needs me)
Buffy cried herself to sleep in Willow's arms. Willow heard footsteps behind her. She looked up at Angel.
"How is she?" he whispered.
"Bad. She is hurting."
"She really loved him." Angel stated calmly.
"Yes she did. She'll be ok. It will take some time. She will never forget,
but I think she will move on eventually. Until then, she has us all to
help her.
Do you think this what Dru's vision was about?"
"Yes, Red. You will have to help Buffy through her grief. She could
get herself killed if she tries to face vampires in this state. I'm sure
that is what
Dru meant. Would you like me to carry her upstairs to the spare bedroom?"
"Please. She is staying here tonight."
Angel picked up his girlfriend and carried her upstairs. He laid her
on the spare bed. He looked up at Willow, who was standing in the doorway.
"Poor
kid. She always has such rotten luck." He went to Willow and kissed
her softly, "How are you holding up?"
"I'm fine. I just feel so bad for her. I don't know what I would do
if I ever lost you or Spike." She smiled ruefully, "I also hate to admit
that I
understand Spike's reaction when he thought I might die. Don't let
him know I understand, ok?"
"Our secret. Now, let's get you to bed. I'm sure that Spike is waiting."
Willow took one last look at her friend. "Sleep well, Buffy."
