Willimina Angel O'Connor-Bradley slipped into the room where her mother
performed most of her spells. It was a nicely decorated room, filled
with
various Wicca items - spell books, ingredients for spells, various
orbs. .
.Mina knew that most of her mother's stuff came from her Grandpa Giles.
He
always brought something new on the rare occasions he came to visit
the
family.
She settled in the chair in the corner, watching as her mother finished
her
daily 'thank you' to her goddesses. "Momma?" she asked softly when
the
witch was done.
Willow spun around, smiling at her little girl. She reached over and
pulled
a robe over her naked body, tying the sash. She went to her daughter,
tucking a strand of her red hair behind her ear. She kneeled in front
of
Mina, taking the little girl's hands in her own. "What is it, baby?"
"Momma, I have a question," she said softly, a frown marring her face.
"What?" Willow sat back, knowing that a question from her inquisitive
five
year old could last up to an hour as she tried to explain the answer.
"Can I have a brother?"
Willow blinked, mild shock flooding her system. "Huh?"
"Well," Mina said, launching into her story, "you know we had show and
tell
today, and um, Unca Xander went with me and Jesse, right? Well, Kathy,
she
brought her little brother James, and. . ." Her voice quivered slightly.
"I want a little brother. Please, momma? Can't we just go to the store
and
pick one out?"
Willow sighed, looking down. "No, baby, you have to do other things
to get
a brother."
"Well, can't you do those things, momma? I'll be a real good sister,
I
promise." Mina's green eyes filled with hope.
Willow opened her mouth to speak, then paused. "I'll see what I can
do,"
she said softly. "But I can't promise. Only when the goddesses deem
that
it is time for you to have a child, can you. That was part of your
purpose,
to help me and your Daddies get together."
Mina lit up. "Really?" she asked in awe. She knew that besides her,
both
of her daddies loved her momma more than anything in the world, and
to know
that she was part of the reason they all became a family made a certain
amount of pride pass through her. "Momma, that's so neat!"
The witch smiled. "Yea, it is, isn't it?" she asked, leaning up to kiss
Mina's forehead. "Come on, it's time for all good little witches and
their
daughters to go to bed." She stood up.
Mina hopped off the chair and grabbed Willow's hand. "I'm ready, momma.
Me
and Unca Xander and Jesse played all day long. I'm tired. Unca Xander
has
too much playfulness in him."
"I know, baby. He used to wear me out when we were your age."
Mina giggled, following her mother out of the room.
~*~
Willow sighed, settling on the bed between her lovers. Spike's fingers
automatically started trailing along her side, trying to get her in
a
certain mood. However, the redhead was thinking far too much to notice
her
lover's ministrations. He growled softly.
Angel reached over, putting his hand on Spike's shoulder, calming the
blonde. The older vampire looked down at Willow. "What's on your mind,
Wills?"
Willow focused on his face, smiling briefly. "Mina."
"What about Princess?" Spike questioned, truly interested in what his
mate
had to say about their daughter. However, he was more interested in
that
patch of skin that was causing Willow to tremble slightly. . .
"She wants a brother."
Both vampires blinked, looking at each other, then Willow. "What?" they
both asked at the same time.
"Apparently, one of her classmates brought her little brother to show
and
tell today. And now, she seems to think that she wants one too," Willow
explained, sitting up with a sigh.
"Well. . .it'll pass, right?" Spike glanced up at the back of Willow's
head, then turned to his Sire. "It'll pass, right, Angelus?"
Angel shrugged, his mind automatically racing to figure out how they
could
have another child. The idea wasn't a completely *bad* one. . .
"And you know, I'm twenty-five now. I have a five year old, and I'm
going
to live forever," Willow murmured, hugging her knees. "I've sorta thought.
. .I mean. . .well, I've kinda been wanting to have another kid. I
mean, I
really kinda liked being pregnant before. I guess we could adopt one,
but I
really don't see the state giving us a kid." She laughed bitterly.
"I
mean, I could always ask Xander, I know he would in a heartbeat. .
."
Spike sat up, anger racing through his veins. "You are *not* sleeping
with
Chubs!"
Willow blinked at Spike's amber eyes, then laughed. "It's the twenty-first
century, Spike. All I need is some of his little swimmers. A doctor
can do
the rest."
"That's just so. . .unnatural," Angel shivered. "Besides, it would get
weird. We would be the kid's dads, not Xander, and you know, I'm sure
Xander would want to claim his kid in a way more than Uncle." He sat
up,
trailing his fingers up and down Willow's back.
"Oh bloody hell, that's just. . ." Spike grumbled. "Whatever happened
to
the day of getting a woman knocked up the *real* way?"
Willow threw angry eyes at Spike. "It's kinda hard to do that when your
lovers are *dead*, Spike."
The blonde grumbled, knowing that Willow was upset. This was something
that
she wanted - something that she deserved. . .something he and Angel
couldn't
give her. "Red. . .I do love you."
She turned, wrapping her arms around him. "I know, Spike. Come on, let's
go to sleep."
~*~
"Momma, wake up!" a soft voice whispered in Willow's ear. The redhead
groaned, pushing at the covers. She hadn't slept well at all that night,
between the Picasso dreams of beautiful women telling her she was being
blessed for a day - to use it wisely, and the fever running through
her
body. At least, she assumed she was running fever. She was so hot,
and no
matter *how* much she snuggled to the bodies of her vampire lovers,
she
couldn't cool down.
She opened her bleary eyes slowly, smiling weakly at her daughter. "Mina,"
she murmured.
"Unca Xander and Unca Graham are here. They want to take me to the park.
Can I go to the park, momma? Please?" she begged.
Willow groaned, knowing that it would be perfect if she were gone for
the
day, so she could just sleep. She crawled out from the covers and slipped
on her robe, following her child downstairs. Mina was bouncing, excited
that she was going to go to the park with her Uncles.
"Hey, Wills, didn't sleep good?" Xander asked.
"I feel bad," she murmured. "I think I'm sick."
Graham reached out, placing his hand on her forehead. "You don't feel
warm.
Clammy, but not warm. You just feel like you got too hot in the middle
of
the night, like you were sleeping against a warm body too long."
Xander's eyes twinkled. "Is there something you aren't telling us, Wills?"
Willow snorted. "Whatever. A - Like I'd want to be with someone else.
B -
Like he'd *live*." She chuckled. "I just didn't sleep well, I guess.
So
you want to take Mina out?"
"Please?" Xander begged.
Willow looked at Graham and the man shrugged, flashing her a smile.
"You
know me, Wills, I love to spend time with both the kids." He leaned
down
and picked Mina up, throwing her into the air and catching her as she
squealed happily.
"Yea, have a good time. Keep her all day. I need sleep, and I'm sure
once
the boys wake up and realize she's gone, I won't get any," she grinned
ruefully.
"That's part of the plan," Xander murmured, grinning at his best friend.
"We know that you haven't spent much time in bed with the Deadboys,
so we
are taking her off your hands so you can have a good day. Use it wisely."
Willow chuckled, kissing her two best friends' cheeks. "Thanks, guys."
She
leaned up and kissed Mina, who was still in Graham's arms. "Be careful,
Little One. Be good, and listen to your Uncles."
"I will," Mina promised. "And momma? Try to find me a brother today,
please?"
Willow smiled softly, her face straining. < How can I explain to
her that
it just won't be happening? > "I'll see what I can do, baby."
*~*~*~*
Spike rolled over, pressing against the warm body of his lover. He sighed
contently and quite unnecessarily. Willow made him sigh a lot. <
Damn,
went soft for the chit, > he thought absentmindedly, reaching over
to
playfully molest his lover.
His long fingers ran over a smooth flat chest and he purred softly,
before
realizing that her breasts were. . .gone. < Hmm, > he thought, frowning,
wondering why Willow's breasts were gone. His fingers traveled down,
cupping the growing erection. < Ok, Red does *not* have a cock,
> he
thought.
"God, Spike, you always did know how to wake me up," Angel's sleepy
voice
grumbled, turning over. He pressed his childe into the mattress, pressing
his pelvis against Spike, rubbing his quickly hardening cock along
Spike's
thigh.
Spike's eyes flew open, then widened. He struggled slightly, knowing
something was wrong. "Sire!" he exclaimed.
Angel was still trying to brush the edges of sleepiness away. "What?"
he
asked, leaning down to run his tongue along Spike's neck. He licked
his
lips and extended his fangs to bite down into his childe's delectable
jugular.
Only, there were no fangs to extend.
Angel sat up quickly, straddling Spike. His hand went to his own neck,
feeling for a pulse. When he felt that unfamiliar throb underneath
his
skin, he felt lightheaded. "Oh, my god. Spike, I'm human. Oh my god,
something's wrong." Angel looked around frantically, blinking his eyes
rapidly.
"Bloody fucking *hell*!" Spike growled, his hand on his own neck. He
looked
up at Angel, his eyes filled with fear. "Sire. . .I am too. . ."
~*~
Willow sat humming at her laptop, happy with the quiet that surrounded
her.
It had been a long time since someone had babysat Mina, and she was
thankful
for the time to work on updating her demon database without having
to deal
with yelling children. She felt a bit guilty for not spending the time
with
her mates, but she *really* was having a good time all by herself.
. .
She glanced up, frowning. A wash of panic and horror pelted her through
the
bond she shared with her lovers, hitting her full on right before two
identical inhuman screams came from her bedroom upstairs.
Willow ran upstairs, feeling the fear of her lovers. < Oh, goddess,
oh,
goddess, > she thought, knowing that Buffy had finally come to LA,
finally
decided to kill both of them. < I can't lose them, > she thought,
vowing
right then and there to hurt the Slayer if it came down to it.
She ran into the room and stopped, frowning at both of them. They were
standing up, staring each other down, completely naked. They were the
only
ones in the room. "Guys?" she asked softly.
"Red!"
"Willow!"
They rushed to her, engulfing her in a tight hug, almost squeezing the
life
out of her. "Guys, what's. . ." She paused, realizing that Angel was
much
warmer than usual. She turned to Spike, putting her head on his chest.
"Oh, goddess!" she stumbled, stepping out of their arms. "You guys
are
human!" she cried.
"See!" Spike growled, turning to his Sire. "She doesn't want us anymore
bec
ause we are bloody human! I don't *want* to be human! I want my soddin'
demon back!"
"Spike," Angel murmured, trying to calm his childe down. It was hard
though, because he was having the identical thought.
::Willow,:: a soft voice echoed in Willow's head, ::child, you are being
blessed for 24 hours by the Goddesses. . .take advantage of it. . .::
Something clicked in Willow's head, and suddenly, everything made sense.
The strange dreams she was having the night before, being much too
hot for
half the night, Angel and Spike being human. . .her lips curled into
a grin.
"Get dressed," she said, rushing over to the closet and pulling out
a pair
of jeans for herself.
"What?" Spike growled. "Are you taking us somewhere to get a demon back
in
us?"
"Do you know what's wrong, Little One?" Angel asked. The whole being
human
thing was a little too much, and he decided he didn't want it. He wanted
to
remain a vampire, wanted to be at Willow and Spike's sides for eternity.
"We are being blessed," she giggled.
Spike's mouth dropped open. When his spoke, his voice was filled with
hurt.
"I. . .I thought you liked our demons," he murmured softly, his blue
eyes
shining with pain.
"Oh, I do, I love them!" Willow smiled. "But we have to go to the park.
I
figure we only have like, 12 or 13 hours of you two being human, and
we have
to shag like crazy." She giggled.
Angel blinked in mild shock. "Huh? Not that I don't mind the whole
shagging part. . .but. . ." He frowned.
"Huh?" Spike finished his sentence.
Willow rolled her eyes. "Guys. It's been what. . .two hundred years
- give
or take half a century - since either of you have seen the sun? Well,
not
counting the days you two had the Gem of Amarra. . ."
"Bloody wanker," Spike hissed at Angel. "Don't know why you destroyed it."
"Because," Angel replied, popping Spike on the back of the head, "giving
you
immortality like that is just too dangerous."
Spike smirked. "I would have caused a great bit o' violence, wouldn't I?"
Angel crossed his arms and looked down, shaking his head while he chuckled.
"Yea, you would have, my boy."
"*Anyway*, I figure it's been a long ass time since you've seen the
sun.
*And* the whole purpose of this is for us to get it on as much as we
can, so
I figured we'd kill two birds with one stone and just do it in the
sun."
A slow smile spread on both of their faces, imagining pounding into
Willow -
and each other - in the sun. "Sounds bloody wonderful, pet," Spike
purred,
already starting to get hard at the idea, "but I still don't understand
*why*."
"Last night, I had this dream, that a bunch of beautiful women were
telling
me I was going to be blessed for 24 hours. You two, as human, is the
blessing she was talking about," Willow grinned, knowing that they'd
finally
get it.
"That isn't explaining anything, Willow," Angel said softly, glad that
his
demon would be back after the 24-hour period of hell was over.
Willow rolled her eyes again, finishing dressing. "Where the hell were
the
two of you last night when I told you Mina wanted a brother?"
Both men blinked, then turned to each other, a similar smile on both
of
their faces. "We might be daddies! Like, real daddies, with our own
blood," Angel said, his voice filled with awe.
"I think we better get to shagging and knock the chit up," Spike grinned.
Both men hurriedly dressed and they left their home, heading for the
park.
*~*~*~*
"Cor, luv, you are one *pale* wanker."
Angel glanced up at Spike, smirking at him. "As if you aren't, William,"
he
grinned.
"But you look bloody gorgeous," Spike purred, leaning towards his Sire
and
running his tongue along Angel's cheek.
Angel brushed his fingers along Spike's cheek, then leaned in, brushing
his
lips against Spike's. Spike's tongue brushed against Angel's lips,
urging
them to open. The older man parted his lips, his tongue snaking into
Spike'
s mouth, claiming the younger man with his kiss.
Willow finished spreading out the blanket and turned to them, giggling.
"Guys," she said, putting her hands on her hips. "Um, I'm the one you
are
trying to get pregnant here, not each other."
The two men pulled away, both ducking their heads and blushing. Spike
blinked, raising his fingers to his cheeks. "Bloody amazing," he murmured,
feeling the flushed skin on his face. He glanced at his Sire and laughed.
"You are blushing, Peaches."
"Just as much as you are, William," Angel shot back.
Willow cleared her throat again, bouncing from foot to foot. "Come on,
guys, I wanna *play*!"
She squealed when she was attacked, the two former vampires knocking
her
down. She ran her fingers through their hair, delighting in the soft
growls
coming from both of them. Even though they didn't have a demon in them
anymore, she was still able to make them growl.
All thoughts ceased when Angel pulled her shirt over her head, attacking
her
right nipple through her satin bra. She moaned softly, turning her
head to
look up at Spike. He was sitting beside her, smirking. "Spike," she
murmured.
"Luv," he purred. He trailed his fingers along her skin, delighting
at the
goosebumps it produced. "You are beautiful in the sun." He smiled down
at
her, committing to memory the way she looked with sun kissed red hair,
the
way her eyes sparkled, the way she shined. He made a mental note to
get a
picture of their happy little family out in the sun before all of this
was
over. He wanted to be able to look back and see Willow and Mina in
the sun
at their side.
Angel nodded, his lips still attached to her hard nipple. He ran his
fingers up her side, grinning around the nub as she shivered under
his
touch. "Angel. . ." she purred. "Spike. . ." She reached out for him,
wanting to feel him against her.
He reached down, covering her mouth with his finger. "Not yet, luv.
I want
to watch the two of you." He smirked. "I know you love me more, so
I might
as well let the bloke take you first."
Willow giggled and Angel pulled away, glancing at Spike. "She loves
me the
same, William."
Spike nodded. "Yea, I'll believe that when hell bloody freezes over."
A tenderness entered Angel's eyes. "Thank you, Spike," he murmured,
leaning
up to steal a quick kiss from his childe.
"Yea, yea, you wanker. Hurry up. I need to shag her too."
~*~
Willow moaned, the sound almost getting caught in her throat at the
intensity of her and Angel's coupling. He was pounding into her slowly,
bringing her to the brink of orgasm again and again.
She ran her nails up his back, causing red welts to form. He groaned,
his
human body shuddering at the pain, but enjoying it. He growled softly,
speeding up his thrusts. He was close. . .so close.
He reached between their bodies and ran his fingernail against her clit.
She started to shudder, her orgasm beginning. He closed his eyes. With
a
silent prayer that she'd be implanted with his seed, he exploded, unloading
his hot living semen into her quivering body.
He collapsed against her, breathing in short pants. "Oh, my god. I haven't
had sex as a human in. . .years. Damn, I wish I had the stamina I was
used
to. . ."
A low growl entered his ear and a rough hand pushed against his shoulder.
"My turn, Sire," Spike growled, needing to feel Willow against him.
It was
erotic, watching his two mates make love in the sun.
Willow giggled. "Spike, can't you give me a minute to come down off
the
last. . ." She moaned as Spike finally pushed the boneless body of
Angel
off of the woman and moved above her, sinking into her warmth.
He shuddered, his eyes closing in ecstasy. "Damn, Red, not that shagging
you normally isn't good, because it's bloody awe inspiring. . .but
being a
human and shagging you. . ." He growled softly, starting to thrust
into
her.
She wrapped her legs around him and moaned, needing him to take her
to same
heights Angel just took her to. . .
~*~
Spike's fingers ran over her chest, marveling at how pale she was, how
much
she could have passed off for a vampire if not for the warmth and love
in
her eyes. He looked down at his slightly slumbering mate and then up
at
Angel. "Do you think we did it?" he asked his Sire.
"I hope so," Angel murmured, smiling at Willow as she chewed her bottom
lip
in sleep. "I mean, she wants a child so much, William, and it would
be
incredible if one of us were. . ."
"Cor, I know," Spike replied. "Can you imagine, looking into a child's
big
brown eyes -"
"Or blue, they could be blue," Angel interjected.
"Or blue eyes," Spike chuckled, "and know that *we* created that? Not
through blood, not through our kiss. . .but through. . ."
"Life," Angel murmured. "Real, honest-to-god human life." He sighed
wistfully, laying back. "I hope that she gets pregnant. Mina was so
adorable when she was a baby."
Spike chuckled. "You were so scared to hold her. It was humorous."
"Yea, I remember you laughing. Constantly," Angel smirked.
Spike smiled, glancing at Angel. "Before we go back to our dark existence,
I want to make sure we get a picture of us in the sun. All of us, including
Mina."
"Hey, Mina is in the park. . .we should go find her. I bet she's beautiful
in the sun," Angel laughed.
Spike stood up, getting dressed. He nodded to Angel. "Wake the woman
up,
let's go find our daughter."
Angel shook Willow, waking her up. "Come on, Wills, we are going to
go see
how beautiful Mina is in the sun. And find a camera."
Willow mumbled slightly, "Yep, sure, let's go."
~*~*~
Graham glanced over at the eclectic group of people that had ended up
joining his little picnic with his lover and his niece. He smiled,
knowing
that these people were his family, and that no matter what happened,
they'd
always be together. His Xander was busily eating a sandwich, passing
chips
to his ex-girlfriend Cordelia, who was leaning against her lover Gunn.
Gunn
was talking to Wesley about some demon or the other that they'd come
across,
trying to figure out what it was. Wesley was flipping through one of
the
many books he'd brought with him to the park.
Mina was sitting in David Nabbit's lap, who'd just gotten back from
a trip
overseas, where he took over several more companies and made several
more
millions of dollars. He'd paged Cordelia and the woman told him they
were
in the park having a picnic with Mina, and to join them. He happily
agreed,
loving the girl whose mother he'd given so much grief to when she was
pregnant. The strawberry blonde haired little girl was excitedly telling
David about all the neat gadgets he should invent, so she would have
new
toys.
"Oh my god," Angel murmured, stopping in mild shock when he saw the
group of
people. They'd finally decided to take a break from all the shagging,
as
all three were worn out. They knew that Mina was in the park and decided
to
find her and spend some time with her in the sun, while they could.
"Spike,
she's beautiful."
Blue eyes followed his Sire's gaze, and Spike sighed softly, a dopey
grin
fluttering across her features. The sun made her eyes sparkle even
*more*
like her mother's did, and her light red hair almost appeared to glow,
like
a halo. She had the prettiest creamy skin, smooth and flawless, except
for
the light sprinkling of freckles on her nose.
Mina just happened to glance up over David's shoulder at that moment,
her
mouth dropping open. Never, in five years, had she seen her daddies
in
direct sunlight. She knew it would make them go away, forever. Tears
filled her eyes. "Daddies!" she sobbed, pulling out of David's lap.
She
ran to them, throwing her arms around their legs. "Daddies, don't leave
me!" she shrieked.
The two of them looked at each other, ignoring the shocked gasps of
their
friends. They kneeled down in front of Mina. "Strawberries, we aren't
leaving you," Spike frowned. "What makes you think we are?"
"Cause," she said, her tiny fist scrubbing at her face, "I know that
sun
makes you go bye-bye."
"Oh," Angel smirked. "Right." He nodded his head. "See, Kitten, for
one
day, this day only, your momma's goddesses granted her a miracle. They
took
our grrs away so we can come out into the sun," he explained.
"You can't grr anymore?" Mina asked.
"Not until tomorrow, Princess," Spike replied, leaning up to kiss her
on the
forehead. "You are so pretty in the sun, baby."
She beamed at him, her eyes shining. "Thank you, Daddy-Spikey." She
crossed her arms. "Now why are you in the sun? What's out here?"
"Good question, Not-So-Deadboys," Xander asked. "Why the sudden quick
trip
into humanity?"
Willow chuckled at her best friend's description of her mates.
"Well," Spike said, "we are looking for Mina a baby brother." He grinned
at
his friends.
Mina's eyes widened, and she gasped. "Did you find him?" she exclaimed,
jumping up and down. "Please say you found him!"
"We won't know for a couple of months, baby," Willow said, kneeling
down
beside her daughter. "And then, if we *did* find a baby brother, you
will
have to wait longer, because he has to grow up a little, because he
starts
out *way* too small for us to even hold in one hand."
Mina looked down at her hand, amazed at the thought. "I have tiny hands,
momma, will he be too small for mine?" She held her hand out to Willow.
Willow turned her hand over, pretending to study it. "Even too small
for
yours."
"Wow. Where we he grow at?" she asked.
Willow pointed to her stomach. "In here. And momma's tummy will get
bigger
and bigger, until one day, he'll be ready to come out. And then when
he
does, he'll be here!"
Mina blinked. "Does it hurt?" she asked softly. "Cause if it hurts,
I don'
t want a brother."
"No, baby, it doesn't really hurt."
"Goody," she said, hugging her mother's neck. She turned to her fathers,
reaching out to touch Spike's cheek. She giggled. "Daddy-Spikey, you
are
so white!" She blinked at Angel. "So are you, Daddy-Sire." She crossed
her arms. "I think I like you better inside. You look funny out here,
in
the sun."
The whole group chuckled slightly.
~*~
Three months had passed, and nothing changed. Angel and Spike were back
to
being vampires, Mina was still daily asking about a brother, and life
had
gone on. Willow cried nightly, knowing that she wasn't pregnant. She
didn'
t feel any different, and knew that she was without child.
Angel and Spike tried their hardest to comfort the woman, crushed that
with
all the sex they'd had three months before, they weren't able to impregnate
the woman. It was such a good explanation, why they'd been human for
24
hours. Wesley researched, but could find no other reason to explain
it.
Mina came into their room that morning, tugging on Willow's sleeve.
Willow
wiped away her tears, and smiled sadly at Mina. "What's wrong, momma?"
"I'm just sad, baby," she whispered, not able to tell her child that
she
wasn't going to get a baby brother. Not yet.
"Well, don't be sad, momma," she said, climbing up into Willow's lap.
"I
dreamed about this pretty lady, and she said that we would find out
that
there's babies in your tummy." She tilted her head, then leaned down,
putting her mouth against her mother's flat stomach. "Hey, can you
hear
me?" she said softly. She put her ear against her stomach and waited.
After a moment, she sat up. "My little brother can't hear me yet, cause
his
little ears are still too small."
Willow gulped back tears, not wanting to break her child's heart. She
wanted a baby almost more than Willow did. "I'm sorry," she whispered.
"He
will get bigger. He will be able to hear you soon."
"Don't be sad, momma." Mina frowned. "Oh, and the pretty lady told me
something else. She said not to let the crystal drops flow anymore,
and
that you should go see. . .go see. . ." Mina frowned. "The ringing
person?" She looked up at Willow. "Who is the ringing person?"
Willow frowned. "I'm not sure, baby." She smiled weakly, trying to figure
out what Mina's messages meant.
Mina reached up and wiped Willow's tears away. "She said for the crystal
drops to stop, momma, and you are still crying."
Willow laughed through tears, realizing that's what the crystal drops
were - her tears. "Now all I have to do is figure out who the ringing
person is."
"Mina, Aunt Cordelia is here to take you to school, Princess," Spike
said
softly from the door. He had seen the exchange between the two of them,
and
his heart broke because he knew that both of them wanted another baby
- the
whole family did.
Mina leaned up and kissed Willow. "Bye, momma!"
~*~*~
"Who could it be?" Willow asked Angel.
Angel shrugged, frowning. "I don't know, Wills. Doesn't make any sense
to
me. I mean, why would you need to see the telephone man?"
"Who needs to see the telephone man?" Xander asked, walking in. He set
his
books down, throwing himself down on the couch, exhausted from a day
full of
challenging child psychology classes. He laid his head back and closed
his
eyes.
"Mina said I need to see the ringing person. But I have no clue who
that
is."
"Mmm," Xander murmured, already starting to fall asleep. "Baby doctor.
His
name is Bell, huh?"
"Dr. Bell!" Willow brightened. "Oh, I get it. . .the ringing person.
A
bell rings. But. . .why would I have to see him?" She put her hand
on her
stomach possessively, looking up at Angel.
"Worth a try, Kitten. . .the home pregnancy tests could be wrong," Angel
suggested.
"Xander, come to the doctor with me, please?" Willow asked, knowing
that
neither of her vampire lovers could go because of the sun.
"Yep," Xander murmured from his sleeping spot on the couch.
Willow rolled her eyes and slapped him on the back of the head. "Come on."
He woke up suddenly, smiling up at Wills. "I'm coming," he said. He
stretched and waved goodbye to Angel, leaving with his best friend.
As they rode to the doctor's office, he glanced at her. "You know we
aren't
going to be able to get in," Xander said. "You have no appointment."
"Worth a try," Willow said softly, trying not to get her hopes up about
another baby.
Both were amazed when they got to the doctor's office. Another lady
had
*just* called and canceled her appointment, saying that she had to
do
something for her mother that couldn't be done later. Therefore, a
spot was
free. Willow was whisked right in.
As she lay on the table shirtless, waiting for the doctor to come in
and
give her a sonogram, she smiled at Xander. "What if I'm pregnant?"
"You have been moody, like you were with Mina," Xander nodded.
"Oh, Xander, I want a baby so bad," she said, sighing.
"But who's the father?" Xander asked. "I mean, don't you think the other
one will get hurt because he isn't the biological dad?"
"I don't think it matters at this point," Willow said softly "However,
if I
'm not pregnant, I've made up my mind, I want some of your swimmers."
"You. . .you would chose me to father you and the Deadboys' children?"
he
asked, touched by the request.
"Of course. You are my best friend."
Xander leaned down to hug Willow when the doctor walked in. "Now, now,
that
's what got you here in the first place," Dr. Bell teased.
Xander pulled away, grinning. Willow blushed, smiling at her best friend.
She turned her head to the doctor. "Dr. Bell, just do the little sonogram
and tell me I'm pregnant, please? Mina wants a brother so bad, and
one day
three months ago, I had so much sex I couldn't walk the next day."
Dr. Bell chuckled. "Well, at least you know how to get there, Willow.
And
how is our little Mina? She was just a little pup when I saw her last."
Xander pulled out his wallet, opening it to a recent picture of Mina.
Dr.
Bell smiled. "She looks just like you, Willow."
"Thanks." Willow beamed at him.
After starting the test, Willow wasn't watching the screen. She couldn't
bear the thought of not seeing a baby. "Oh, wow," Xander murmured,
tears
filling his eyes. "It's. . .I mean. . .damn!"
Willow turned her head, gasping. Very clearly, she could see the outline
of
a small fetus on the screen. "Doctor," she said, tears streaming down
her
face. "You mean. . .?"
"You are, Willow," he smiled. He faltered, frowning a bit. He moved
his
stethoscope a bit on her stomach, obviously hearing something else.
Fear raced through Willow's veins. "What?" she asked. "What is it? What's
wrong?"
She watched the screen, chewing her lip worriedly as he moved the device
across her stomach. She gasped when *another* fetus came into view.
"Twins," the doctor murmured.
"Twins!" Xander exclaimed, squeezing Willow's hand.
And at that moment, as she watched her two twins on the sonogram screen,
a
sudden clarity washed over her with the whisper that echoed in her
voice.
::Child, this is your blessing. You shall have twins, yet they won't
be
normal twins. Your dark mate is the father of one, and your light mate
is
the father of the other. The Powers That Be have granted you this,
for all
the work you and your family has done over the years as our Warriors.
Take
care of them, and love them always. . .::
Tears filled her eyes. "Twins," she whispered.

Willow and Xander both walked into the hotel room dazed, still not believing
the whole situation. Willow had explained to Xander what the Goddess
in her
head said, that one child was Angel's and one was Spike's. Willow said
that
was just impossible, that it couldn't happen. Xander pointed out that
technically, Angel and Spike were impossible too, so why couldn't it?
It
was then Willow decided that it really could happen, that it was possible.
Angel glanced up, his face falling. He knew she wasn't pregnant, knowing
that she would have flown in with joy on her face if she were having
a baby.
He had an idea that she was going to ask Xander to donate some of his
swimmers, and decided that he didn't mind. He had gotten to the point
of
wanting a baby so much, he'd rather have a child that belonged to Xander
than not have one at all.
Spike moaned softly, realizing that what he and his Sire had talked
about
earlier, that Chubs would be the father of their next child, was going
to
happen. He knew that she wanted a baby, and wanted one just as bad,
but
somehow, just *knowing* that the child belonged to one of the most
annoying
members of his family just. . .bothered him. He liked Xander as much
as
anyone, but he was always getting on his nerves for whatever reason.
"Red.
. ." he said softly.
"Guys," she said, sitting down. She blinked, then looked up at them.
"I
have to tell you something."
Mina studied her mother, a frown spreading over her face. "What did
the
ringing person say? Are you going to bring home a brother?"
"I. . .don't know, baby," Willow said softly, trying to hide the grin
from
covering her face.
Mina's face fell. "Oh."
"It may be a sister."
Both Angel and Spike jumped up. "You are pregnant?" they exclaimed,
smiles
lighting up their faces.
Willow glanced up, grinning. "There's more."
"More?" Spike asked. "What bloody more could there be? You are having
a
baby!"
Willow giggled, holding up two fingers.
"Two?" Angel asked, right before his eyes widened. "You are having *two*?"
Mina blinked in shock, crossing her arms. She frowned slightly, opening
her
mouth to say something. However, Willow beat her to the punch. "More,"
Willow nodded.
"What else?" Spike asked, his heart filling with joy. She was having
*two*
children! Twins! There would be three children that called him
Daddy-Spikey!
"One of them is yours, Spike," Willow said, going to Spike, kissing
him
softly. She turned to Angel, standing on her tippy toes to kiss him.
"And
the other is yours. It's our gift from the Powers that Be."
Both men stared at her in shock, the realization settling in that they
were
fathers. *Real* fathers. That they had both done something they never
thought they could, that they had given a part of them to Willow and
her
body had shaped it, formed it into a child. Someone that would be as
precious as the little girl standing at their ankles, glaring up at
all of
them angrily. They were both going to be fathers. "Oh my god," Angel
said,
sitting down.
Spike blinked. "We kick bloody *ass*!" he cried, turning to his Sire.
He
yanked the man up and kissed him passionately, ready to celebrate the
fact
that *he* was going to be an honest to god father, and that he didn't
have
to deal with knowing that the baby Willow carried in her womb belonged
to
his Sire.
"*HEY*!" Mina exclaimed, stomping her foot angrily.
All three of them looked down at her, surprised at her angry outburst.
Willow kneeled down, taking the girl in her arms. "What is it, dear
heart?
I thought you wanted a little brother."
"Yea, momma, I do! *One* little brother." She pouted slightly. "I didn't
ask for two. Why did you have to find two? Why couldn't you have just
found one?"
The adults started to laugh, knowing that they would definitely have
a hard
time trying to get Mina to accept having more than one brother.
