~Part: 1~

Angel sighed wearily and clicked the door of his apartment shut. He was exausted after a particularly hard battle with a Morroca demon. He thought that the group of teens that called themselves the Scooby Gang handled it well. Buffy, the young blond Slayer, fought well, even though she had been slayng for just under a year. Her boyfriend, the annoying Xander Harris, managed to hold his own against the demon's vampiric minions. The Watcher, Rupert Giles, didn't have the fighting ability, but he wore down the demon with magic. And Willow Rosenberg. Willow. The small redhead fought the vampires savagely. When he first arrived in Sunnydale, he had been shocked to see his love, who he had thought long dead. The redhead he had seen killed, and had been powerless to save her. His mind flashbacked to the day he had lost his redhead.

 September 16, 1898.

//Drusilla shrieked, and ran into the sitting room, finding Daddy and her brother there. "They took her!" She wailed. Angelus exchanged a glance with his blonde childe and turned to Dru. "Dru, honey, who took who?" Angelus said to his insane childe soothingly.

"The Romany! They have her!" Dru sobbed.

Spike looked confused. "What the 'ell is the Romany?"

"Gypsies. Daddy killed the gypsy Princess, so they took her in exchange."

 "Took who?" Angel asked.

 "Your Princess." Drusilla replied solemnly.

Angelus felt a gasp of air wrenched from his long dead lungs.

"What?!" Spike exclaimed. "Some damn gypsies took my Red?!"

Angelus vamped out. "I'll kill every last one of them if it's the last thing I do. I swear it." He snarled. He stood up and turned to Spike. "You and Dru stay here."

Spike stood too. "No bloody way! I'm going with you. Red's mine, too, Angelus."

Angelus grabbed Spike by the throat. "William, you will stay here with Drusilla!" Angelus ordered.

Spike shoved Angelus away from him. "Fine, you damn wanker, but know this. If Willow is hurt in any way, I will kill you. I'll hunt you to the ends of the earth until the end of time if I have to."

Angelus stopped, hearing his childe's threat, but didn't turn around. He continued out the door.

It didn't take him long to find the small clan of the gypsies. His childe was nearby. And she was scared. He reached a clearing, and found the Romany standing in a group, chanting. Two of them were holding up the redhead. She looked weak. He growled.

The Romany stopped what they were doing, and turned to face the Irish vampire. He tried to step closer to them to free his lover, but he found himself stopped by some sort of invisible wall. One of the elder women stepped up next to the wall and smiled, revealing her brown teeth. "Magical shield." She cackled. The group had resumed their chanting. Willow was trying to break free, but they were strong, too strong. They had weakened her somehow.

Angelus watched his childe struggle, and felt fear enter him for the first time in over a century. She looked terrified. Her green eyes were wide with fear. The fiery hair that cascaded down her back in ringlets was tangled. Her long ivory silk dress was muddy, ripped at part of the skirt, the pearl laced bodice was splattered with mud.

The elder woman stood next to his childe. "You took our beloved child away. We shall take yours. You took her life. We take hers, and curse yours in retribution." Angelus watched in horror as the woman lifted a stake, and plunged it into his beautiful childe's heart. "Angel!" Willow screamed painfully before she exploded into dust.

"Willow! No!" He howled. He sank to his knees, a searing pain overcoming his body.

The chanting ceased. The elder smiled. "It is done." She whispered.

Angelus came to a long while later. The Romany had lreft. He began to sob over the horrible deeds he had committed, all the people he had killed, and over the death of his childe. He crawled over to what remained of his love. A pile of ashes. A gust blew the ashes, and something caught the newly souled vampire's eye. It was the brooch he had given to Willow the night he turned her. She had been wearing it. He held it tightly in his hand. He contemplated waiting for the sunrise, to go join his love in the afterlife, but he knew he couldn't. He didn't deserve to rest. He whispered a hoarse apology to what had been his childe, and left. He didn't know what he would do now, but he knew he must atone for his sins. He knew Drusilla would know that Willow had been killed, and Spike would most likely ask her to take him to what remained of his late love. He didn't have to wait long. Dru led Spike up to the spot where Willow had been killed, and fell to the ground, sobbing. Spike knelt down next to the diminishing pile of ashes, and whispered his love to Willow, and his goodbye. He wiped tears from his eyes, and picked up a shiny object in the grass. It was a silver ring with dimonds and saphirres. It belonged to Willow. He looked at it for a long moment, and put it in his pocket. He helped Dru up, and led her away, as the ashes swirled in the wind.//

~Part: 2~

Angel shook his head. Brooding over the past changes nothing. He found that the more time his spent around Willow, the harder it was to keep the demon in control. The demon recognized it's mate, even after a century, and it was fighting to get free and claim her and turn her once again. Angel knew at all costs, that must not be allowed to happen. But he found that the harder he fought against the demon, the harder the demon fought back. Angel was rapidly losing the battle.

Dru twirled around the room with Miss Edith, giggling.

Spike walked in, took notice of what Dru was doing, and scowled. "Knock it off, Dru. It's annoying."

 Dru pouted.

Spike rolled his eyes. "Dru, you've been pouting for the last century. It's getting bloody annoying. Maybe I'll just dump you out on the street like I should of done, instead of taking care of your looney ass."

Drusilla stuck her tongue out at her brother. "Just for that, you're not invited to the tea party."

Spike glared at her. "Boo hoo."

Dru smiled smugly. "You don't get to hear the secret Miss Edith just told me."

Spike growled. "Dru, if you won't be quiet, I swear I'll shove a stake up your-"

"She's alive." Dru told him. "The stars danced for Miss Edith and she told me."

Spike thought it'd be best to humor her. Maybe then she'd go away. "Who's alive?"

Dru smiled, her gaze unfocused. "She helps the Slayer. She doesn't remember. Daddy's seen her, and has to fight the demon. He'll bring her back to us. Miss Edith said so, and she doesn't lie."

"Who doesn't remember? Who's she?" Spike asked, his curiosity getting the best of him.

 "Willow." Dru sing-songed.

Spike froze, thinking of his Princess. "Dru, Willow's dead. You know that." Spike said.

Dru shook her head. "No, Spike. She was brought back, she's the same, but she doesn't remember. Miss Edith says its time to go to her. I'll have my sister back, and you get your Princess." Dru told him. "I can see her. She looks exactly the same. Pretty hair, like fire."

"Where is she, Dru?" Spike asked, knowing his sister's visions were never wrong.

"The Hellmouth." Dru whispered. "Sunnydale. We must go to her. Daddy will come back, and will bring her back to us. All will be right. We must go now."

 Spike nodded. "Then we go."
