“Oh, that was a good one!! One more for The Rock!” Xander said on his couch of the apartment.

“That was a really good one. How do they come up with this stuff?” Dawn asked who was sitting next to him. She was staying overnight and Anya was in the kitchen getting more chips, beer for Xander and soda for Dawn.

“They probably just think, ‘Oh, I wonder what will make my balls shrink and my muscles get bigger. Maybe it will make me intimidating.’ ” Anya said as she came over to the couch.

“Oh, come on, An, you know they don't take steroids.” Xander said in defense.

“Xander, you really don't think that, do you?”

“Dawnster, I believe they don't. Whatever other people say is up to them.” Xander said.

As they were watching WWE on UPN, they knew Buffy was fighting the good fight.

Staying home and watching TV was one thing. Fighting two demons with icky antlers and slime coming from its antlers and green skin and that looked scaly, THAT was another thing.

¤Kick, jab, left hook, upper round-about kick¤

“God, you are disgusting.” Buffy said as she brought her sword to her side after she did her round-about kick.

All the demons did was make a big ‘grrr’ sounds.

“Ok, enough with the small talk already.” Buffy said as she tried to swipe at the other demon’s head. She lopped it off swiftly. The head fell while the body was still standing, but teetering. After a few seconds, the body just fell over.

Now it was just a matter of getting the other slime ball.

“You know, you should really see someone about the whole ‘slime-coming-from-the-antlers’ thing. It really can’t be good for your health.”

Spike was walking back to his crypt from the Bronze {where he earned himself some money by playing pool} and heard Buffy talking and figured he’d jump in. Literally.

Buffy was just about to thrust the sword into the demon’s stomach when Spike came flying at it from behind.

He landed on the demon’s back and it caught him off guard because Buffy was trying to stab the demon. The demon fell onto the sword and he fell forward onto Buffy. The sword went through the demon and about three inches of the tip of it was sticking out from his back, missing Spike by only a few inches.

“Spike?!?! Get this thing off me right now!” Buffy yelled at him from underneath the demon. The slime from his antlers was now dripping all over her. Ruining her new leather jacket.

Spike got up, straightened himself out and then lifted the demon off of her.

“Spike, you jackass. Do you know what you just did?” She said as she got up.

“Uh, helped you kill that chaos demon. That’s what.” Spike said as he lit a cigarette.

“I was just about to when you came in and messed me up! God, why don't you ever just mind your own business?!” Buffy yelled at him while trying to wipe away all the slime.

“I don't know. Just my nature I guess. You know, if it wasn’t slime that was all over you, I’d say you look good wet.” He said exhaling smoke.

“Shut up Spike!” She said really irritated by him.

She started to walk off.

“Hey, hey, hey.” Spike said as he hurried over to her and grabbed her arm.

“What?” She snapped at him

“I just… I want to know what was up with you the other night?”

“What do you mean? We kissed.”

“We did a little more than just kiss, Luv.”

Buffy sighed.

“Look, the night we were all singing and dancing, I was just confused. And then, the other night, I was really confused. I found out that my friend was doing magick, even though she told her girlfriend that she wouldn't. Not to mention that we were forgetting everything. Besides, what kind of name is Randy?”

“Well, what kind of name is Joan? Look, the point is, is that… I…”

“What? You what Spike? You want me, is that it? Well, I’m covered in slime right now and I don't feel like having you touch me. Ever.” With that she started to walk off towards home to take a shower.

Spike was now mad. He knew that she knew how much she meant to him. Especially how much the making out meant to him.

“You know what? I don't want you to touch me either. In fact, if you’re in trouble again, I’m not gonna even bother!” He yelled out to her. Deep down, it hurt.

“Anything more you want to say to her back?” A woman’s voice came from behind him.

“Melody?” He said as he turned around.

“Hey Spike. Long time no see.” She said.

Melody was half Chinese, half English. She had been among the first of Spike’s, or William as he was back then, victims. He turned her into a vampire because he felt sorry for her.

Her mother was a Chinese maid and her father was a rich Englishman. Her father had fallen in love with the foreign maid after his wife had died from syphilis.

“Wh-What are you doing here?” He stammered. She was still as beautiful as the day she was laid to rest in a glass coffin. Although, she wouldn't stay in there for long.

“Just passing through. I heard you were here. Thought I might pay you a visit.” Melody’s voice was smooth and soft flowing, just like Drusilla’s.

“Do you want to go to my place? I’ve got a telly.” Spike suggested.

“Sure. Can I stay the night, or rather the day?”

“Yeah, sure. It’s this way.” Spike said as he headed off in the direction of his crypt.

“I like what you’ve done to the place. Although, it’s kinda hard to know what you did do and didn’t.”

“Yeah, downstairs is better. Come over here.” Spike said as he walked to the ladder leading down.

When Melody got down, she looked around.

“You were right. It is better down here.”

“You want a drink? I’ve got blood in the fridge and vodka and rum down here.”

“Rum please.”

Melody sat down on the bed while Spike got the drinks.

“You know you look just as beautiful as the day I saw you in your glass coffin.”

“Aw, Spike. Thank you. Do I really look beautiful?”

“Yeah, you do.”

“So what were you talking about to the Slayer’s back?”

“Huh? Oh, that. Buffy… she kissed me and everything was just so right. One day she’s all like bein’ my friend. Then next she’s the Ice Queen.”

“Some girls’ll do that they’re love.” Melody said nonchalantly.

“Mel, I’d hate to break it to you, but she doesn’t love me.” Spike said a little surprised that she had said that.

“Oh, come on Spike. After 120 years of your undead-ness, you haven’t figured women out? Women only do the whole “I love you one minute; I hate you the next” just to get under you skin. Makes you want them even more.”

“Ok, I’m really not getting you.” Spike said taking a long sip of rum.

“Look, if you get in a fight again about you two kissing, just kiss her to shut her up. She’s only doing it so that you will. And, if she isn’t then at least you have that last kiss. If she’s a smart one, she’d do this only enough for you to just show up and make mad passionate love to her.” Melody finished her drink in one gulp. She got up and walked to the bar to get more.

“Are you serious? You mean she only does that to piss me off?”

“Well, I’m not certain, but if it isn't, then you’ll just have to find another way to get her.”

As the night went on, they talked about what Spike should do and not do about Buffy.

Spike had spent the night upstairs on one of the stone coffins. He let Melody sleep downstairs.

Early in the evening, he got up, gathered his bed stuff, went downstairs, threw the bed stuff on the bed near Melody and changed his pants. They was crusted up slime on them and he didn’t know if it would come off of his leather jacket.

Melody had fallen asleep, naked, which was the way some vampires liked to sleep.

He got a new pair of pants out of the drawer and then walked upstairs to get something to eat. He wasn't wearing a shirt when Buffy came storming in as she always did.

“Bloody hell Slayer, I thought I told you to leave me alone.” Spike said, taking a sip of blood, rolling his eyes and then setting the jar down.

“Actually, you didn’t. You just said for me not to touch you.” She replied annoyed.

“Ok, what did I do now?”

“Look, I came here to say I’m sorry for the way I acted last night. It’s just that I didn’t know I’d be covered in slime that’s all.”

“Ok, apology accepted. Although, I am still mad at you a lit’l.”

“That’s fine. I’m still mad at you too. Are you gonna go patrolling tonight?”

“Nah, I don't think so.”

Buffy shrugged and then started to go downstairs.

“Hey, where do you think you’re goin'?”

“To get a drink. I need one after the day I’ve had.” Buffy said not looking at him.

*Freeloader.. come to take my alcohol… wait.. Mel…* Spike thought.

“Don’t-don't go down there… It’s a mess.” Spike tried. Maybe she’d listen, maybe she wouldn't. He just didn’t want her to see Melody downstairs.

“Yeah, like it’s never a mess.”

Buffy headed down the ladder and turned to walk over to the bar. She took out a cup and found the mostly empty bottle of scotch on top of the counter.

She shrugged.

*He must have drank himself to sleep last night*

After she poured her drink, she went to sit down on the bed, without seeing Melody.

“Buffy, look, just leave, please?”

“What? I can't sit here and talk to you?”

“No, you can’t.” Spike said. “Please leave.”

Suddenly, Buffy felt the bed move. She got up quickly in surprise.

“Whoa… What was that?”

“That is my friend, Melody.” Spike said.

“Hmm? Did I hear someone say my name?” Melody said groggily while she got up.

“Yeah, I did, Luv. This is Buffy.”

“The girl that you were talking to her back?”

“Yeah.” He said.

“Who the hell is she?” Buffy asked.

*Ok, Spike, why on earth do you have a naked girl in your bed and you why aren’t you wearing a shirt?* Buffy thought as she started to feel hurt about a naked girl in his bed.

“I’m a vampire. Don’t worry, I won't kill you. One of you Slayers were enough for me. Not like Big Bad over there who already had two, but wanted you as a third.”

“Um, ok, that really clears things up. Spike, what is she doing here?”

“She’s my friend. She was stayin’ the night.”

“Yeah, right. I’m gonna believe that. How do I know you didn’t give her a, what do you call it? A good shagging?”

“I didn’t… God, what is your problem, Slayer?”

‘Slayer.’ He hadn’t called her that in a really long time.

“You are my problem, Spike. Haven’t I made that clear enough? Ever since you came here, you’ve been a thorn in my side. And now, I find that you’re sleeping with some vampire who’s apparently just passing through?”

“I’m not sleeping with her!”

“Oh, that’s right, you only want to sleep with me.”

“Well, yeah.”

“Ok, that’s it. I’m going home.”

Buffy put the cup down on the bar and started to walk out.

Spike looked at Melody who shook her head as if to say “No, don’t go after her.”

Spike looked down and sighed.

“You know, sometimes I think I love her and that I’ve got her all figured out, and then there are the times I wish I could just kill her.”

“Look, just do something really unexpected.” Melody said as she got her clothes on.

“Like what?”

“Well, one of the guys that I was with, we had a big fight. Kinda like you and Buffy. Well, anyway, after the fight, I didn’t see him for about a few days and then, out of the blue, he put a beautiful red rose on my door step. It had a note that said something like, “I’m sorry.” And then at the bottom it said, “This is nothing compared to your beauty,” or something like that.”

“Then what happened?” He asked curiously.

“He still didn’t show up but he would keep on leaving little things on the door step. Each with a little note. At the top was “I’m sorry.” And at the bottom was something that refereed to the object and something about me. He finally showed up and said that he wanted to take me somewhere. We went to a secluded mountain top where a cabin was. In the end, I took him back.”

“I seriously doubt she’d do that.” Spike said skeptically.

“Spike, trust me on this. Just stay low for a little while. Drop a few presents over the next week or two, but if she comes around, go into the tunnels. You want to appear sorry, but not like you’re gonna wait for her like your whipped or something.”

“Ok, ok. I’ll do that. Listen, thanks for tellin’ me all of this.”

Melody went over to him and hugged him tightly.

“No problem. I’m gonna go. I don't think that I can do anymore damage around here than I already have.”

“Alright. Good luck. By the way, where you goin’?”

“I’m not sure.” She said as she let go. “I’ll see you around. Hopefully.”

A few days went by and Buffy was feeling frustrated about the fight between her and Spike. They had had two fights in a 12-hour period and that had never happened before.

“Buffy? Buffy!?” Dawn practically yelled from the island counter in the kitchen

“Hmm? Oh, sorry Dawn. What were you saying?” Buffy was sitting on the opposite side of the island.

“I was talking about how Diane and Robert broke up again. It was so hilarious.” Dawn said as she put down a plate of strawberries she had just cut.

“Oh, well, that must have been fun.” Buffy said, picking up a strawberry.

*Stop looking at things that are red. It reminds you too much of Spike* She thought to herself.

“Buffy, are you ok?”

“I’m fine. Just tired. That’s all.”

“So are you going patrolling tonight or are we having a night in?”

“Um, I’m not sure yet. Did you get the mail?”

“No, I’ll go get it.”

“No, it’s ok, I’ll get it.” Buffy got up from her chair and walked to the door and out to the mailbox.

She opened it up to find the mail and a rose with a note that had “Buffy” on it. She lifted the card and inside it read, “I’m sorry,” in Spike’s handwriting. Her eyes scanned to the bottom and it read, “It’s nothing compared to you.”

Buffy smiled. She took the rose and the mail inside.

“Hey, what’d we get?” Dawn said as Buffy came in. Buffy handed her the mail, still staring at the rose, as she went upstairs with the rose. “Who’d you get that from?”

Buffy didn’t answer. She went right up the stairs and into her room. Dawn heard her door shut. Then she heard a door open.

“Buffy?” Dawn asked with hope.

“Nope, just me. Oh, the mail.” Willow said as she came down the stairs. Dawn handed her the mail. “Where’s Buffy?”

“She just went into her room. She was carrying a rose. It had a note attached.” Dawn said.

“Really? Did she say who it was from?”

Dawn shook her head and shrugged.

“Can I go to Diane’s house?”

“Um, sure, just call when you get there and if you’re going to go out, call first and then call when you get back.” Willow said.

“Ok. Bye. Tell Buffy I said ‘bye.’ ” Dawn said as she grabbed her jacket.

“I will.”

About an hour after Dawn left, Buffy came out of her room.

“Hey Buff. What’s up?” Xander said.

“Uh, nothing. Where are Dawn and Tara?”

“Dawn went to her friend Diane’s. I told her to call and she did. She’s getting better at the whole going out with her friends thing. Tara’s at class.”

“Oh, ok. You know what? When Dawn gets back tell her I went patrolling.” Buffy said.

“I’ll go with you.” Xander offered.

“Nah, I think I’ll be ok.”

Buffy was walking around in Spike’s cemetery. She didn’t know why she was there. She figured it was because she was so used to going there to get him. But did she want to go and get him? Did she even want him?

Her head was filled with questions she wanted to ask Spike by the time she got to his crypt. She opened the door to find that he wasn’t upstairs watching TV and when she went downstairs, she didn’t see him there either.

“Spike?” She called out.

It appeared as if he wasn't there, so she walked out of the crypt to go find something to kill. Possibly torture before the kill.

Spike was sitting in Willie’s Place. He had a tall glass of rum and he was talking to Willie about the fight he had with Buffy and how Melody came and talked some sense into him.

“Thought that was you.” Melody’s voice came again from behind him.

Spike turned to see Melody holding a cup of blood. She sat down next to him and took a cigarette out of his pack, which was lying on the bar.

“I mean, what other vampire do I know that sired me and can still look so sad and depressed?”

“Mel? I thought you left town.”

“I did. Then I got to where I wanted and then, I decided to come back. The place was kinda drab.”

“Do you still need a place to stay?”

“Nah, I found a place. It’s that apartment building across the street. Some human friends are lettin’ me stay there.”

About two weeks went by and every few days, Spike would leave a present and a note for Buffy.

He was hoping that she was falling for him because she would come into his crypt looking for him, but he would always run into the tunnels and come out when she leaves.

Buffy was slowly beginning to love him more and more each time she received something. But some of it would fade if she went to go see him and he wasn’t there. She had checked all the usual spots. It was as if Spike would write the letter, tell someone what to buy and where to go and then Spike would go hide somewhere.

Melody had told him what to buy and what to say, although she didn’t know much about Buffy. Spike had to tweak the writing a little bit from what Melody had said.

He was very grateful to her.

*Without her, I don’t think I’d be here still*

Finally, the day that Spike was to take Buffy somewhere romantic came. He wasn't nervous. He’d been dating for 120 plus years.

Spike went to the magic shop.

*That’s where they always hang*

He opened the door and sure enough, they were there.

Buffy looked up and her first reaction was to run over to him and jump into his arms and kiss him. She stopped herself and told herself ‘no.’

“What is he doing here?” Xander said in the usual tone.

“I just wanted to tell Buffy that I was at Willie’s and someone said that something was going down. I just thought she ought to know.”

“Ok, well, um, lemme go get my jacket. We’ll go check it out.” Buffy said.

“You want us to go with you? We could be backup.” Xander offered.

“We’re always backup.” Anya said.

“Uh, I think Spike and I will be ok. Vampire and Slayer against whatever it is Spike found out about? We’ll be fine.”

“Yeah, come on, we gotta hurry. They said around 8.” Spike said.

Buffy followed Spike out the door and to his car.

“Uh, where exactly is this thing going down for us to go in your car?”

“Just get in.” Spike said as he got in.

Buffy did as she was told. When she buckled her belt, he started the car and headed for the woods.

“The woods? What is this Spike? An ‘you-can-scream-all-you-want’ kind of deal? And what are we goin' to be fighting?”

“Just some vamp and some other person. I don't remember what it was.”

“Great.” She replied.

Finally, Spike’s little Jaguar made it up a hill to a valley with a huge lake and a cabin, which happened to belong to Melody’s friends.

Buffy noticed that the cabin’s windows had black curtains.

“This is where the thing is going down? A cabin near a lake?”

“That’s what I heard, ok?”

“Whatever. Look, it’s almost 8.” She said getting really annoyed.

“Yeah, I know.” He said as he lit a cigarette.

“I wish you wouldn’t do that.”

Spike looked at her and then opened the door, got out and closed it. Buffy scoffed and rolled her eyes.

*What a jackass. Why the hell am I even falling for him?* She thought to herself.

She sighed and then got out of the car.

“Slayer, I got out of the car ‘cuz you don't like the smell and then you come out here. I don't get you.”

“I need fresh air. I’m going over there. I’ll be right back.” She said as she pointed to some rocks near the edge of the lake. She walked over there and sat down.

It was around 8:30 now and Buffy was pissed. She got up from the rocks and walked over to Spike.

“Ok, it’s 8:30 and nothing has happened. What’s the deal?”

“Ok, fine. There wasn’t anything going on tonight. I just wanted to get you out here.”

“You told me that there was something that was going down and now you’re telling me that there isn’t anything at all going down? Do you know how much you’re gonna get your ass kicked?”

“I figured you were going to say that.” Spike said as he reached into his jacket for what Buffy figured was another cigarette. Instead, it was two tall 12’ candles.

*What the hell is he doing?*

“Follow me.” Spike said as he started towards the cabin.

Buffy followed him to the cabin.

“Ok, color me confused. Spike, what are you doing?”

“You’ll see. Just wait.” He said as he stopped and took a blindfold out of another pocket. “Let me put this on you.”

“Oh, no. I don't think so mister. You have a lot of explaining to do.”

“That will happen. All in good time, Luv. All in good time.” He said as he wrapped the blindfold around her eyes.

“If this is some kind of trick-“

“Yeah, I know, you’ll stake me. It’s not a trick, pet. Trust me.” Spike said as he opened the door.

He led her into the house and sat her down in a chair. He set the candles out and lit them. Then he went to sit down in the chair across from the very small table.

“Ok, you can take the blindfold off now.” He said, hoping against hope that she would like it.

Buffy lifted her hands and took off the blindfold. She looked straight in front of her and she saw Spike lit up by candles. Candles that had been set not only in the middle of a small table, but all over the cabin.

*No wonder there are black curtains at the windows*

Buffy looked around and on another small table was what looked like about 3 or 4 dozen roses. There was a card under them that was leaning against the two vases. She leaned over and picked it up.

Instead of “I’m sorry” being on it, it said, “I love you.” And at the bottom, “This still isn't anything compared to you.”

“Spike… This… I… I really don’t deserve this.” Buffy said.

“You’re right. You don't. You deserve more.”

Buffy knew that sleeping with him would be wrong, although it felt so good kissing him that she knew that if she made love to him, she would be sent over the edge.

“You know we can't.” She said sternly, trying to convince herself that was true.

“Why not? You did it with Angel and you knew that he would lose his soul.” Spike said, instantly regretting that he brought his sire up.

With that, Buffy put the card down and got up.

Spike saw her starting for the door. He got up and quickly walked over to her and grabbed at her arm. She turned to face him with a look of annoyance.

“Buffy, wait. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just… I just…”

“You know I hate it when anyone brings him up. I hate it. And when you bring him up, it just feels even worse.”

“I know. I’m sorry.”

“I have to go outside.” Buffy said and she walked out the door.

When the door closed, Spike leaned his back on it, looked up and sighed.

“Great. Now she’s gonna want to leave.” He said quietly.

Outside, Buffy took her shoes and jacket off and rolled up her pants. She walked down to the water and went in so that she could just wade in it.

She knew that Spike didn’t mean anything by bringing Angel up, but she just couldn’t stand it. As much as she still loved Angel, she just couldn’t deal with Spike, of all people, talking about him. Especially like that.

Suddenly, she felt something grab a hold to her ankles and it pulled her down. As it did, she screamed.

Spike heard Buffy’s scream and then a splash and got up from the table and ran outside.

“Buffy?!” He yelled.

No answer.

“Buffy?!?!” He yelled even louder. He looked onto the lake and saw that it was rippling. He looked down at the ground and saw her shoes and jacket.

He hastily took off his jacket, shoes and his red open-button shirt off and then ran into the lake and dived in. He knew that if whatever took Buffy underneath kept her there for a long time, she’d drown.

Spike felt something swish past him. It nearly hit him. Even underwater, his eyes worked in the dark mucky water. He saw something. It was wriggling and air bubbles were coming from it. It also had long hair.

Buffy.

He swam over to her and when she saw it was him she pointed down. Spike saw an octopus looking thing holding her. He went down to where the octopus was holding her and started swinging at it. Finally, he remembered that he had a pocket knife in his pocket. He took it out and cut the tentacle.

The octopus got mad, but in the pain, took away the tentacle. Spike put the knife back in his pocket and looked at Buffy. He quickly grabbed her and swam as fast as he could to the surface. He knew she was almost out of breath.

He finally reached the surface and swam them to shore. Once there, he laid her down on a safe place and looked down at her. She was still breathing, but very lightly.

“Buffy? Come on, don't you dare die on me. I lost you once, I’m not gonna lose you again! Come on!”

Buffy heard Spike and she felt water come up from her lungs to her mouth. She spit it all out.

“Buffy?” Spike said as she coughed.

“Watch your back.” Buffy said as she sat up and then preceded to get up into a fighting stance.

Spike turned and saw that there were octopus men walking towards them. He got up and got ready to battle.

The octopus men looked slimy and they actually had two hands and the rest were tentacles.

“Eww. They look like that chaos demon we killed.”

“So now it’s we?”

“Can we not fight each other and fight them?” Buffy said before she charged.

Spike smiled and charged after Buffy did.

As Spike fought, he couldn’t help but wonder if she was ok. She nearly drowned. Again.

When Buffy killed her two octopus men, she saw that Spike was having trouble with the one he had left. She ran over to him and helped him.

Once he was killed, Buffy looked at Spike. Both of them were really muddy. Spike fell to the ground and lay flat out, hoping Buffy would join him. Instead, she kneeled.

“You look good in mud.” He said.

“Shut up Spike.” She said hitting him.

“You wanna wrestle?”

“Huh?”

“Mud wrestle. I won't tell anyone if you don't.”

“I don't wrestle, Spike.”

“Ah, come on Buffy, it’ll be fun.” He tried again.

“I don't even know how to wrestle, hence why I don't wrestle.” She argued.

“How will you know you don't know how without tryin’?” He said as he grabbed her and pulled her down and pinned her.

“Hey, I wasn’t ready for that.” She said as she then wrestled with Spike so that he was back on the ground.

“Having fun, pet?”

Buffy was sitting on top of him. She bent down and kissed him on the lips just as she did when she was pretending to be the Buffy-bot.

Spike looked up at her.

“Buffy…” He started.

“Shut up and kiss me.” She said as she lowered herself onto his lips again.

Spike closed his eyes, not believing this and kissed back. His hands traveled from his sides to her sides and around her back, pushing her down more. He then flipped positions so that she was on bottom and he was on top. Buffy wrapped her legs around his waist.

“Buffy…”

“Spike, don’t ruin this. I’m loving the fact that I’m here, alone, with you. What I’m not loving is that I’m covered in mud from something that just tried to kill me and that you keep on questioning if I really want to do this. Yes, Spike, I really want to do this. Please, please, please make love to me.”

“I want to hear you say it. You’ve heard me say it a million times. Even if I only hear it once in my whole life. Just say it.”

“Don’t you mean your un-life?”

“You know what I mean. Just say it.”

“I love you.” Buffy said.

Spike smiled.

“Why didn’t you say so earlier?” he said as he lowered himself down.

They decided that making love covered in mud was disgusting, so they stripped down and got into the out house that had a shower. They helped each other get all the mud off. Spike gazing and staring at Buffy’s naked body and Buffy gazing and staring at Spike’s member.

“Hey, stop lookin' at me.” Spike said playfully.

“You started it.” She said playfully back.

When they got back into the cabin, Buffy took another look around.

“Earlier, I didn’t get a chance to tell you how beautiful this place looks.” She said.

“I didn’t get to tell you how beautiful you look either.”

She looked at him and kissed him. Then he led her to the bed, of which, she lay down on.

They were both wearing towels and so Spike took his towel off and lay down on top of Buffy. He kissed her as one hand was hold him himself up and the other was trailing along the edge of the towel wrapped around her beautiful body.

He finally broke off so that she could breath and he took his hand that was trailing the towel and unwrapped her from it. Spike started to kiss all over her stomach and chest.

“Spike…” Buffy said as she looked down longing for him.

“Yes, Luv?” he looked up at her with a grin on his face.

“You know.” She said, returning the grin.

His kisses trailed down to her stomach and then to him what was unknown. He knew that he had done it before, but being with Buffy made it seem that it was the first.

He lowered his head into her spread legs and gently kissed her before placing his tongue into her warmth.

Buffy moaned in ecstasy. She knew how wrong this was, but that was all washed away with all the pleasure.

Spike on the other hand, didn’t care if it was wrong or right. If felt so good that everything and everyone they knew could die or fall off the face of the earth and he’d still be happy because he had the one person in the whole world that he truly loved and that truly loved him.

*Although, she would get lonely without her friends. I guess I would too. Wait, stop thinking about her friends and just think about her!*

He moved his tongue all around her. He knew she desperately wanted the rest of him, but it was as if he couldn’t stop.

Spike heard Buffy call for him. He looked up and saw her do the ‘come here’ with her finger.

Spike obeyed and moved up to her mouth where he kissed her passionately. Their tongues wrestled for each other.

He broke the kiss and looked down at her.

“Who said you’ve never wrestled before?”

She smiled and pulled him back down. For about a minute, she held her hands over his cheeks and then finally, she moved her hands down his chiseled abs and to his hard member.

As she held on to him, he moaned out. She smiled inside knowing that she could bring him so much pleasure.

*God, why didn’t I ever do this sooner? I love him so much…*

“Spike… please…”

“I’m way ahead of you, Slayer.” Spike said as he lowered his hand and put himself into her.

Both of them moaned out as their first touch of each other.

“Buffy…”

“Spike…”

As Spike gained a steady rhythm, all they could do was look each other in the eyes.

“You are so beautiful. I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

Buffy wrapped her legs around his waist and drew his hips in closer to her. She felt him quivering as he was nearing his peak. She was too, nearing hers, but she knew she wasn’t going to be on the bottom for it.

With her Slayer strength, she flipped them both over on the bed so that Spike was laying flat while Buffy rode him.

She looked down upon him and saw how wonderfully in awe he was of her. She knew he loved her and that she loved him too. Buffy kept on wondering if there was something holding her back from loving him completely.

Her friends.

*What would they think if they knew I was here, like this, with him? I don't think Dawn would mind so much, Willow would probably say that it was about time. I don’t know what Anya would do, but Xander. Oh, Xander. If he knew, God, he would freak out so much. He knows that I know he hated Angel, and he hates Spike even more*

“Buffy… God, how I love you.” Spike said.

She looked down and smiled. Then she lowered her head for a deep kiss. She loved the way he used his tongue, the way it would lap with hers and everything. It was as if they were dancing and that he would let her lead.

That’s exactly what he was doing. Letting her lead. He always tried to, but sometimes, he just had to. Right now, he was so close to orgasm. All he could do was to let her lead this tango of theirs.

Buffy felt herself coming close. She also felt Spike coming close to his.

“You really ready for this?” Buffy said.

Spike nodded his head. Nodding his head and holding onto her hips were about the only two things he could do with all the tension in his body going to one place.

Finally it happened. Both of them moaned out each other’s names in ultimate pleasure.

Buffy lay down next to him onto one of his outstretched arms, breathless.

“Some ride, eh, Luv?” Spike said, panting heavily, even though he didn’t need to breathe.

“Without all the lines.” She replied back.

“Can I hold you?” Spike said looking at the ceiling.

“Huh?” She turned her head to face him.

“You know. Can I hold you?” He repeated his question.

“You mean like, cuddle?”

“Yeah, somethin’ like that.” Spike said.

Buffy scooted over into him. The arm she was lying on came over and wrapped around her and his hand lay on her arm, occasionally stroking it.

“That tickles.” She said giggling.

“What? This?” Spike said as he brought his other hand over and started to search for the Slayer’s weak spots.

Buffy curled up and tried to stop him.

“No, Spike, stop..” Laugh. “No, come on!”

“Ok, ok, fine. I’ll stop. Just as long as you crawl into bed with me and stay for a lit’l bit and not run off.”

“I’ll stay. After something like that, I can’t go anyway. I can’t feel my legs.”

“Me neither.” Spike said as he pulled the covers over the both of them.

They cuddled back into the position they were in before.

“What am I going to tell the others?”

“’Bout what, pet?” He said as he kissed her head.

“About, well, everything. The fight. Then the really great, hot sex.”

“Just tell them what you want. Personally, I don’t care if they know or not. I just want you all to myself. Now that I have you, I’m not letting go.”

“I know, but I have to tell them something.”

“Tell them that it’s your business what you did up here and if they get cocky about it, just tell them you have to go somewhere and then come to me.”

“That may work for you, but they are my friends. I’ll just tell them it was really late and I fell asleep in your car.”

“How about for now, you fall asleep in my arms?”

“That is something I could definitely do.”

“I love you until the end of time.”

“I love you until the end of my time.” She said half sarcastically as she looked up at him.

He kissed her.

In a matter of minutes, they both were asleep.

As they slept, they had no clue what was in store for when they got back. But first, they’d have to get through the day.

What To Do?

Buffy awoke the next morning still very weak from the night before. She glanced at Spike, who was wearing a watch.

*11:30 am*

“Oh, God, Dawn is going to kill me.” She said quietly as to not awaken the sleeping vampire.

Buffy got out of bed and wobbled over to the table where they had sat the night before. She sat down and put her head in her hand. She was still very tired and she had no clue where they had put their clothes.

The candles had all burnt out and she looked out of the window. Spike was stuck here, so she might as well keep him company.

Buffy walked back over to the bed and found a towel. It was still damp, but she wrapped it around her and walked outside to the outhouse.

There, she found both his clothes and hers. As she picked them all up, she noticed that he didn’t wear any underwear. She smiled to herself.

*Guess he doesn’t have to*

Buffy walked back to the house and she opened the door. Spike was still lying on the bed asleep. Buffy silently put her clothes back on. Then she walked back out to Spike’s car.

She sat down in the passenger side seat and looked for something to eat. Then she remembered he was a vampire and didn’t need to eat. She looked in the glove compartment anyway.

There, she found a flask, which she opened and smelled bourbon. There was also a chocolate bar and a package of Starburst.

*What the heck does he need a chocolate bar and Starburst for?*

She took the candy and walked back to the cabin.

“Spike?” She said when she went to the bed to try to wake him.

He didn’t move.

“Spike?” She said as she punched him.

He shook awake.

“What?”

“Why do you have a chocolate bar and a pack of Starburst in your car?”

“Candy was for someone who got hungry. Were you going though my car?” Spike asked sleepily.

“Yeah, I got hungry.”

“I can do a neat trick with the Starburst wrapper. Wanna see?” Spike smiled.

“Depends on what it is.” She replied.

“I’ll show you.” He said taking the Starburst pack and taking a strawberry flavored one out. He popped the whole thing in his mouth. Wrapper and all.

“What are you doing?” She asked while looking at him weirdly.

In about 15 seconds, he put his hand to his mouth and took out the wrapper. He held it out triumphantly.

“What the… Spike.. that’s just.. ok.. weird.” Buffy said looking at the wrapper.

“But it’s cool, right? I was tryin’ to teach Dawn how to do that when you were… but she never really got the hang of it.” Spike said.

“Oh, well, she told me about how much time you spent with her and all that. I’m really thankful for that.” She said looking down.

“You wanna try?” Spike said, holding out a piece of cherry Starburst out for her.

“I’ve never done that before.”

“You never wrestled until last night either.”

Buffy smiled at that, remembering what they had done. She took the candy.

“Promise not to laugh?”

“Cross my heart and hope to die.”

“You’re already dead.”

“Well, then, cross my heart and hope to be dust.”

Buffy smiled again and then put the Starburst in her mouth. She tried to take the wrapper off, but somehow, she just couldn’t get it. Finally she got fed up and spit it into her hand and unwrapped it and stuck the candy in her mouth.

“You cheated.” Spike said.

“Shh.” Buffy said, sounding weird with the candy in her mouth and putting her finger on his lips. She leaned in and kissed him.

As their mouths opened to let their tongues meet, she pushed the Starburst into his mouth. He lay down and she followed him.

“Buffy…” he said as they were still kissing.

Buffy lifted herself up.

“Didn’t anyone tell you not to talk with your mouth full?” She said smiling.

Spike lifted he hand to her face.

*Only she would have thought of something like that to say*

He pulled her down for a kiss.

Spike was still naked from last night. Buffy hadn’t noticed till she felt something poking though her pants.

“Can I play with you?” She asked.

“Depends on how rough you are.” Spike flashed his evil smile again.

Buffy got up from him and went over to the towels on the floor. She ripped one of them up into strips.

When she had five strips, she looked at Spike.

“Get in the middle of the bed and spread your legs.”

Spike smiled again and did as he was told.

Buffy took one of the towel strips and tied his foot to the bed.

*Lucky for him the bed has finish on it*

She did the same to his other foot and then to his hands at the top bed posts. Finally, she got back on top of him. She took the last piece of towel and wrapped it around his eyes. She kissed him very lightly, then she got off of him.

She went to his jacket and got his lighter out. She then looked around the room for a candle to light. When she did, she lit it and carried it over to Spike.

She left the candle to burn for a little while on the table, and she started to nip and lightly scratch Spike all over his body, avoiding only the one part of him that both of them desperately wanted to be at.

Each time she hit a good spot, she would feel Spike jump or shiver.

“Buffy…” Spike moaned a few hundred times.

“Having fun?” She whispered in his ear.

“Yes…” He said breathlessly.

Buffy smiled.

“Do you love me?” She whispered.

“Yes… Buffy, you know I do. I love you.” He said.

“And I love you, Spike.” Buffy said farther away from his ear. She had gone down his chest with little kisses. She slowly lowered her mouth on to him. Then she lightly blew with her hot breath on his hard cock.

“Ooh… Buffy…” Spike moaned out again.

She finished up with her mouth by licking the underside of his cock. By the time she had done that, she was hot and wet enough for the real thing. She kept Spike tied up and she mounted him, letting his hard cock slither into her.

It was now Buffy’s turn to moan out in pleasure. As much pleasure as it was the first five times they had done that last night, it was even better now. Why it was, Buffy couldn’t exactly put her finger on, but she was loving it.

As she rode him, Spike couldn’t wait to see what she looked like. True he already knew what she looked like, but he wanted to see her now. And after the torture she just put him though, he was looking to do a little torturing himself.

“Buffy… take the blindfold off… please…” Spike begged.

“Uh uh. That stays on. I don't want you to know what I’m gonna do next.”

Buffy then continued to ride him. She could feel his hips start to quiver so she got off of him. Spike opened his mouth as if to say something, but he stopped himself.

By now the candle had burned for a while. There was a pool of wax sitting at the top near the wick. She picked the candle up, got on top of him, but she didn’t let him enter her. Instead, she sat on his stomach, one hand holding the candle and the other supporting herself while she leaned over to whisper in his ear.

“Ever use candles for foreplay?” She whispered.

“No…” He said. The excitement in his voice was hard to miss. He was like a little boy on his birthday waiting to open a present just to see what was inside. Spike felt that way when he was undressing Buffy too, but this was different. He couldn’t even see her.

She took the candle and poured a little over his chest. Spike moaned loudly in pleasure. His whole body lifted up when the hot wax touched his very pale skin.

Buffy knew that he was going to lift up, so right before she poured, she positioned herself so that when he lifted up, he’d enter her for a brief moment and then back out again.

That was exactly what happened.

“Buffy… please…” Spike said.

“Are you sure you want me to take the blindfold off?”

“I’m not talkin' about that. Let me be in you again.”

Buffy giggled slightly and she poured more on him. After she did, she blew the candle out, then she ran her hands through the hot wax and spread it all over his chest and stomach as she lowered herself onto him. His erect member slid into her with the greatest of ease. He seemed to fit perfectly and hit the spots that neither Angel, Parker nor Riley had ever done.

Buffy reached over to one of his hands and untied it.

“What…” Spike started with surprise of his hand being untied.

“Just have fun with the one hand. But you cannot take the blindfold off. Only I can.”

Spike nodded and placed his hand at her thigh, then it traveled up to her hip, waist, stomach and then to her breast. He started to knead it in circles. Clockwise, then counter-clockwise.

Buffy moaned out with pleasure. She had the one man she had wanted but she had denied herself for so long.

“Spike…” She whispered as if he was far away.

“I’m here, Luv. I’m always here for you.” He said as his hand traveled from her breast to her clit.

He rubbed it with his thumb as he followed Buffy with her movements so that she could feel everything.

“Ooh, Spike.” She moaned out again.

The temptation was getting too great for Spike to handle. He wanted to see her so much.

“Please, Buffy… let me see you.”

“No.” She said sternly.

*He’s close. So am I* She said to herself. She smiled on the inside, as well as the outside.

It was extremely tantalizing to have Spike all blindfolded and tied up.

“Cuming… gonna… ooh…” Spike said as he came.

Buffy felt his semen shoot up into her as she had her orgasm. Even more, when Spike came, he pressed his thumb harder onto her clit.

Buffy collapsed onto his chest and Spike put his free hand onto her back and stroked her spine, which made her shiver.

“Can I see you now?” He asked, hoping it was the last time.

Buffy giggled.

“Sure. If and when I regain feeling in well, my body.” She said half serious half jokingly. She reached up and took the blindfold off of his eyes.

Spike’s eyes were closed beneath the blindfold and he opened them to see an exhausted Slayer on top of him. He also noticed he was still in her.

“That was even better than last night, Luv.” He said. “You takin’ charge and all.”

“Yeah, I know.” She said sarcastically.

She was still breathing heavily and Spike could feel the thumping of her heart rushing the much needed blood and oxygen to every corner of her body.

“Can-can I get untied now?” He asked with just a little fear in his voice.

“Hmm? Oh, yeah, that…” Giggle. “Um, I kinda like you like this, but yes, I’ll untie you now.”

Buffy lifted herself up off of his chest and off of his member, who was wanting more of her.

She went to the corner of the bed and took Spike’s foot out, then his other. Then she went to the head of the bed and untied his other hand.

Once completely free, Spike grabbed her with what strength he had left and pulled her down next to her. Then he turned on his side to get a good look at her.

“I love you…” He said in barely a whisper.

“I love you, too, Spike. I have for quite sometime. I just didn’t want to admit it until last night.” Buffy said looking into his blue eyes.

They were like ice and each time he looked at her, she froze. It was as if she was under his enchantment.

“Oh, Buffy. What to do?”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, what am I gonna do with you?” Spike said with a smile.

“Ok, I’m still confused.” Buffy said.

“Promise me that you will tell me everything. And I mean everything.” He said. It was more of a command than request.

“Only if you say that you will, too.” Buffy said.

“You have my word.”

“Then you have mine as well.”

Spike kissed her forehead and lay flat on his back.

“What time is it?” Buffy asked.

He lifted his hand and looked at his watch.

“Almost 1. We’ve got about five hours ‘til the sun sets.”

“Where’d you get that watch? It’s a Rolex.”

“Won it playing pool the other night. Bloke didn’t know what he had coming: The Big Bad Spike.”

“You got the ‘big’ right, but bad?” Buffy said sarcastically.

“Hey, watch it… wait… You really think I’m big?”

At this, Buffy laughed.

“Spike…” Another laugh. “Look down at yourself. How many people did you torture and/or maim and you still didn’t realize that?”

“Well, I mainly left the torture and maiming to Dru, Darla and Angel. I was more into the fighting.” Then Spike looked down at himself. “But, come to think of it. You’re right.”

Buffy laughed out loud again.

“By the way, nice toe nails.” She said.

“Huh? Oh, yeah, that. Dawn did that.” Spike said.

Spike’s toe nails were a bright pink color tipped with bright orange. Then, in the middle of his big toes was a smiley face in purple.

“What’d you do to deserve that? Lose a bet?”

She looked at Spike who blushed, if it was possible. And Buffy guessed it was because his face was a pink as his toes.

“Oh, my God, what did you do?”

“I took her to the Bronze and she said that if she could pick out a vampire in the entire place, she got to paint my toes whatever color she wanted. Now that I think about it, I wish I hadn’t taken that bet.”

“Who did she say was the vampire?”

“Me.”

Buffy laughed and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t stop. She didn’t know why it was so funny. But it just was to her.

“Do you love her, too?”

“Well, yeah, she’s Lit’l Bit. But I’ll always love you more.”

“Prove it.”

“I’m worried about Buffy. I mean, she didn’t come home last night. It’s not like her to not call either.” Xander said at the table in the Magic Box as he looked at the clock which read 2:30. “And, she still hasn’t shown up.”

“Don’t worry, honey. It’s Buffy. I’m sure she’s fine.” Anya said as she finished helping a customer.

“Yeah, she’s just probably stuck with Spike somewhere, ‘cuz, you know, it’s day and stuff.” Dawn said.

“That’s what I’m worried about.” Xander said. “Remind me why we all don’t have cell phones?”

“They’re expensive.” Anya said.

“Ok, I make enough money now. I think I’m buying cell phones for everyone.”

“Yay!” Dawn said.

“But Buffy doesn’t have a job that can pay for it. How will she pay us back?”

“An, she’s not gonna pay us back. It’s a present.”

“What about me? Do I get one?” Dawn asked.

“No.” Both Anya and Xander said.

“What? Why not?”

“Not yet, Dawnster. Not yet.”

“Ok, I take it back. I’ll buy a cell phone for Buffy.”

“Hey guys, what’s up? Did I hear about a cell phone for Buffy?” Willow said as she came into the magic shop.

“Yeah, I was thinking it’d be a good idea, just in case she can’t find a phone.”

“Or there’s no phone at all.” Willow added. “I take it she still hasn’t showed up yet, huh?”

“Nope.” Xander, Anya and Dawn said in unison.

Back at the cabin…

“Ok, untie me now, Spike.”

“Nah, you look cute all spread eagle like that. I just love lookin' at you. And I mean all of you.”

“Hmph.” She said. She would have crossed her arms, but her hands were tied.

“Aw, is Baby mad?”

“No, I just don’t want to be tied up. What time is it?”

“You just asked me that a minute ago, Luv.”

“I know, but what time is it?”

“Uh.” He said as he looked as his watch. “It’s like 3. Ok, fine, I’ll untie you.”

As he untied her, she looked at him.

*He’s all naked and everything. God, he’s hot. Ok, so he’s cool to the touch, but it’s like he heats up or something. He sends me into total over drive.*

“You know, this is probably been the longest day of my life.” Buffy said as she got all her limbs together and sat cross-legged.

“I know what you mean. I’m usually asleep, dreamin’ about what we’re doin' now.” Spike said as his eyes were wandering and saw the position in which Buffy was sitting and didn’t take his eyes off of what he thought, before last night, he’d never see.

Buffy noticed that he was staring at her. She looked down and saw what he was staring at on her.

“Hey, now, if you’re gonna stare down there, you better do more than that.” She said with a sweet but seductive voice.

Spike snapped out of whatever trance he was in and looked at Buffy’s face. She had a smile on it and that made him smile.

Spike got onto his knees on the floor and spread Buffy’s legs open. His hands traveled up to her sensitive spots and with one hand, he stuck two fingers into her, then three. With the other hand, he used his thumb and rubbed her clit in every way possible.

Buffy arched her back as the fingers slid smoothly in and out.

Spike smiled. He was always so happy when he could make Buffy feel good. It was what he had wanted for the past year.

“Spike… I want you.” Buffy managed to get out as she looked down at him with longing.

Spike nodded and obeyed to what she wanted. He lifted himself onto the bed and moved her up more onto it, too.

He slowly left agonizing trails of kisses on her stomach. He finally reached her mouth and she voraciously kissed him.

She loved the way he tasted. She didn’t know what it was, but it was sweet. That was all she needed to know. It was like sweet wine that left it’s after taste.

“Buffy…”

“Spike…”

The words were like small whispers the wind leaves in your ears. If anyone else had been in the cabin, they wouldn’t be able to hear it, but they’d see lips move as if to say the words. Not to mention what they were doing to each other.

Buffy wrapped her legs around his waist and Spike supported himself with his right hand and positioned his left hand to himself so that he could enter her.

Buffy again arched her back at the feel of his rock hard, but velvety cock. Spike let out a moan as inch by inch, she took him in. The feel of her heat and wetness… it made him melt.

Spike started a rhythm, soft then harder and harder.

Spike’s cock was almost to her cervix but not quite. She wanted to feel him all the way in her.

“Deeper…” She whispered.

Spike obeyed. He thrust up until he felt something stop him.

Buffy moaned.

“Do you feel me?”

“Yes…”

***

“Ok, that’s it. I’m going out there.” Xander said getting up from the table and grabbing his coat.

“What do you mean you’re going out there? Out there where?” Anya asked.

“Spike’s crypt. Surely he’d be there, with Buffy tied up so he can do unspeakable things to her.”

“Xander, I think you’re over reacting.” Dawn said. “Spike would never do anything to hurt Buffy.”

***

The sun was almost set. Buffy and Spike got dressed from their all night-all day naked-ness. Although, it was kind of weird seeing each other in clothes again.

“So.” Spike finally said to break the silence of them getting dressed. “What are you gonna tell your chums?”

“That we got held up because a fight lasted almost all night. And since you saved my life, I stayed with you all day while you slept.” Buffy said, looking for her thong.

“You really gonna say that I saved you?” He asked looking at her.

“Well, yeah, it’s true, ain't it?”

“Yeah. It is. What are you lookin' for?” Spike asked her puzzled.

“My panties. I lost them.”

“Oh, you mean these?” Spike asked as he produced a blue double stringed thong from his back pocket.

“Hey! How’d you get that?” She said as she snatched them from him.

“I’ve got my ways.” He smirked.

“Ugh. Come on. We have to get to the magic shop before everyone calls the cops on me.”

***

The little bell atop the door of the Magic Box rang as Buffy and then Spike walked into the shop.

“Buffy?! You’re alive!!” Xander exclaimed as he got up from his seat.

“Yeah, all in one piece too. What’s up?”

“What’s up? What’s up?! Do you know what you put my poor Xander through?” Anya exclaimed.

“Sorry, Xand. We just got held up in a cave. It got kinda sunny.” Buffy apologized.

“Held up in a cave doing what?” Xander asked.

“He was asleep the whole day, as most vampires do, and I was just sitting around, thinking and stuff. Nothing happened.”

“Dawn, go to the training room. I need to talk to Buffy and Spike, who, by the way, why is he here?”

“Xander! Would you calm down?”

“No, I won’t. I don’t believe a word of the ‘we-got-stuck-in-a-cave-all-day-and-didn’t-do-anything’ story.”

“Ok, yeah, you know what? I’m just gonna go to the coffee shop down the street. Can I borrow $5?” Dawn asked.

Xander took out a $10 bill.

Dawn thanked him and quickly vacated.

“Buffy, what’s up with you? I mean, you couldn’t have just left him in the cave and come back so we knew you were ok?”

“I can’t drive stick.”

**Oh, she can drive alright** Spike thought after she said that with a smirk on his face.

“What’s that for?” Anya said.

“Hmm? What was what for?”

“That smirk.”

“I didn’t smirk.” Pause. “Oh, bugger it. Buffy, just tell them.”

“Me?”

“They’re your friends. I never said I loved them.”

“What happened?” Xander asked more firmly this time.

“Spike and I are…” Big sigh. “We’re together.”

Xander sat down slowly. His eyes had grown wide and he was just staring at Buffy.

“Xander… please, don’t look at me like that.”

“Buff… I…”

“I know it’s hard for you to know that I’m in love with another vampire…” Buffy said as she knelt next to him. her voice was so sincere. Spike melted at it. She hardly ever used that voice with him.

“ ‘In… love… with…’ ” Xander repeated slowly. Then he snapped out of his trance.

“Buffy, you know I love you. I just don’t want to see you get hurt…”

“She’s not, mate. If I do, I promise, you can kill me.”

“You don't really keep your promises, Spike.”

“Yes, he did. He promised to take care of Dawn and he did… while I was…”

“Hey guys, what’s with the long faces?” Willow asked as she came into the main part of the shop.

“Buffy and Spike are having hot, steamy, Playboy mansion sex in the mountains. They’re now a couple. I, for one, am happy you finally realized that you loved him. It was just getting way too weird around here to have you both in the same room with such strong feelings towards each other.” Anya said.

“An, honey, that doesn’t help with all the other mental pictures I got.”

“Sorry.”

“You two are together? Since when?”

“Since last night. We fought demons, we won, got all muddy in the process and then we ended up, well, yeah. The rest of that I’ll keep to myself and Buffy.”

“Thank you, Spike.” Buffy said standing up.

“Buffy, I don’t approve in your choice of men, but I will say that I am happy… that is if you are.” Xander said.

“I am.” She said as she took Spike’s arms and wrapped it with her own.

“And Spike, I will kill you if you hurt her. You know I will.” Xander said to Spike.

“Yeah, I know.” Spike said. He’d heard this a million times.

“So I guess we have to be nice to each other.” Xander said.

“Yeah, I guess so.”

“Ok, I’m back. What happened?” Dawn asked as she came in with an ice cream cone.

“Spike and I are together.” Buffy said to her little sister.

“Really? That is so cool. I was hoping you two would.”

“Ok, well, I’m going to go home. Don’t you have homework to do, young lady?” Buffy said.

“Yeah, I do.” Dawn frowned.

“Come on, Summers, the both of you. I’ll drive you to your place and then I’ll head to mine.”

***

“Dawn, I want you to do your homework. I’ll order pizza. What do you want?”

“What ever you guys want.” Dawn said as she went up the stairs to her room.

Spike started for the door.

“Hey, where you going?”

“To my home.”

“This is your home.” Buffy said, moving in front of him and taking his hand and putting it around her. “Do you think you like?”

“Oh, I think I like a lot.”

The End
