Disclaimer: I do not own, or am affiliated in any way with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I do not own the characters used in this story, they belong to Joss Whedon, FOX, Mutant Enemy, UPN, the actors and creators of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I have just borrowed the characters for entertainment value and claim the finished product. The characters do not belong to me.

Author’s notes: I realize this story can be way more involved, deeper, and extremely long with how I started it, but I only wanted to write specifically how it is affecting Buffy & Spike. How things in life turn for the worse when you don’t expect it and how people, mainly Buffy reacts to them. If I have used any spoilers to season 7 is unknown to me, so sorry in advance just in case.

Summary: This goes from season 6 when Willow has lost Tara, killed Warren and tried to end the world. My thing is how would she really handle it, if she didn’t think she was strong enough to go on, and how would Buffy deal with what happened to her.

Rated: NC-17

Other Reasons

Their feet echoed through the night as they moved silently together carrying their belongings as they made their way through the vacant streets. A quick trip over to the last open drug store for some food and bandages was the only reason for their presence. Dawn glanced up at Buffy on occasion wondering what was going through her mind, afraid to break the looming silence that had befallen the two since they left the house. She searched through her bag again making sure she wasn’t missing anything, but mainly trying to busy her mind so she wouldn’t have to finally say something. Buffy’s face ran pale and looked tired from the events over the last few days. It was a hardship that wore on her features now, telling a tale of an old woman instead of a young lady. The changes that moved through their lives came like Hellfire and Brimstone, fast and furious never giving anybody time to revel in the change, only react to it or die from it.

The walk back to the house seemed longer, further away from her reality then when she walked away from it. Their steps echoed through the black blanket of night in missed unison of each other as Dawn tried to keep pace as her thoughts took her away from where she was. The silence was deafening to her, and her only break from it came from the crunch of the paper bag in her arms as she moved it around constantly checking to make sure everything was still in it. Coming around the corner Buffy and Dawn froze as lights dawned the night sky in front of their house. Red and blue flashed through the blackness spinning across the world, lighting up the house they have lived in for years. Men and woman rushed in and out of their house, and they both stood and watched the scene unfold in front of them. Dawn dropped her bag into a heartbreaking shatter when they wheeled her out.

“Oh my God.” Dawn breathed.

Buffy ran over to her house and watched as they wheeled her across her lawn, people pushing on her chest and Buffy reached out and grabbed her friend’s hand as they passed her. Into the back of the ambulance they put her, stabbing needles in her arms, and tubes down her throat, Buffy was pulled away from her as Giles wrapped his arms around her pulling her from the back of the ambulance. She froze trapped in his arms as she watched the doors shut, the cry of the flat line echoing over the wailing sirens. She stepped away from him slowly and his arms drifted off the side of her body as she turned and walked towards the house. Xander sat on the porch cradled in Anya’s arms crying, and she moved past them into her living room. Buffy stood and stared at the couch that once held her mother’s dead body, and her body was overwhelmed with weakness her knees giving out and she fell to the floor. Dawn walked up behind her slowly putting her arms around her sister holding her in her arms burying her face in her neck and she started to cry.

“I…I’ll-I’ll go get the…get the car.” Giles stammered quietly.

In the hospital they all waited in a private room for the doctor or anybody to come and give them news about their friend. Muffled tears filled the room as Xander and Dawn cried. Buffy held Dawn in her arms as she cried, and Anya tried to sooth Xander’s tears with soothing words, as both girls stared and watched Giles pace back and forth in the room. They could hear people pass by talking on occasion, muffled voices filling the room but nobody ever came in to see them. After what seemed like forever the door opened and new light from the hall shined in on the group.

“Hi. I’m Dr. Morris.” He said as he extended his hand out to Giles looking around at all the people waiting for him.

“Is she alright?” Giles questioned.

The doctor inhaled sharply for a brief moment at his question.

“She’s not is she.” Buffy said.

“I have to tell you, that it doesn’t look good.” The doctor said. “We have lost her heartbeat five times already however we only manage to get it back for a brief period of time.”

”Tha-that’s good isn’t it?” Dawn sniffled. “I mean you get her heart to beat again right.”

“We are having a problem sustaining it for any real length of time.” He said looking at Dawn remorsefully. “We have her on machines right now that are keeping her breathing, and trying to help her heart, but I am afraid with us unable to stabilize her I don’t feel she will make it through the night.”

“No.” Xander said shaking his head. “No…no…no…no.”

“Can we see her?” Giles asked.

“You can, but one at a time please.” He said. “I am truly sorry.”

Everybody looked up at the doctor as he bowed his head and turned back away from them to leave them once again alone in the room.

Xander stood up ripping away from Anya’s arms. “I wanna go see her.” He said, and walked out.

One by one each went and spent time with her until it was Buffy’s turn. Buffy stood up from her chair, and moved towards the door, stopping unable to reach out for the knob. Giles moved in behind her placing his hand gently on her shoulder.

“You don’t have to go.” He leaned down and whispered in her ear.

She moved her head slightly towards him. “I want to.” She reached out and walked of the room.

Buffy stood in front of Willow’s room for some time watching as the machines took her breaths for her best friend, and a small beeping noise ran across the hallway as it monitored her slow and careful heartbeat. Men and women walked around Buffy in haste as she stood there and stared at her motionless friend, finally moving into the room. She walked over to Willow’s bedside cautiously and gently laid her hand over hers. Willow’s hand was pale and cold, and Buffy squeezed it tighter hoping Willow would yell in pain, but her face stayed quiet as she laid in silence in her new bed. Tears glazed over Buffy’s eyes as she looked down into her friend’s solemn face.

“God, Willow please come out of this.” Buffy cried as tears broke from her eyes. “I need you so much. You’re my best friend.”

Buffy’s other hand moved up to Willow’s face and she brushed a slacking red hair that fell down across her cheek aside. “I don’t want you to go. Not like this. Not now. I just got back.” A small chuckle broke through her tears for a single moment. “Please don’t leave me. We are in this together, always.”

Buffy wiped the tears from her eyes and moved a seat next to Willow’s bed taking her hand in hers. She sat there next to her friend in silence and slowly time was taking its toll on her and her eyes began to flutter shut.

Willow and Buffy sat under the tree at the High School together with the warm sun beating down on the two.

Willow looked up at Buffy squinting her eyes from the brightness of the sun. “You know you’re my best friend too.” She said.

“Yeah I know.” Buffy smiled.

“I wouldn’t want anybody else to be my best friend.” Willow said.

“Me either.” Buffy smiled. “I love you Willow.”

“Me too. I couldn’t have done half the things that I have done in my life if I didn’t stay here with you.” She said.

“Come on Wills, you would have had an amazing life anywhere you would’ve gone.” Buffy told her.

“Yeah, but it wouldn’t have been the same. I wouldn’t have had my best friend.” Willow smiled.

“You wouldn’t have had to save the world so many times either.” Buffy joked.

“Or try to destroy it.” Willow frowned.

“Things are different now.” Buffy offered, shaking her head slightly at her friend’s comment.

“They are different, Buffy. It’s time for me to go.” Willow said.

“Wait, where are you going?” Buffy asked. “Why are you leaving?”

“Because it is my time. I can no longer be here with you. I have made my decision, and now it is time for me to be back with Tara, and to see your mom.” She told her.

“But Tara, and my mom are dead.” Buffy whispered.

“I know.” Willow smiled.

The machines screams startled Buffy from her dreams as a retched stagnant cadence filled the room. People rushed in and pushed Buffy aside as they surrounded her friend. She stared Willow’s face consumed by her eyes as they tried to bring her friend back, and then the sound was cut off sharply, and silence filled the room as everybody slowly backed away.

“Time of death. 4:20.” Echoed through the room.

Buffy walked over to Willow and moved a single strand of hair away from her pale face one last time.

****************

Giles stood in the doorway to the master bedroom of the Summers’ home, dressed in black. He stared at the floor that was still stained red from Tara’s blood. He inhaled as the girls’ lingering scent moved through the room as if they were both still there. Buffy came out of her room in a long black simple dress and black heels, her hair smoothed down straight falling softly around her slender features. She walked up to him and grabbed his hand staring down the hallway unable to face the room that took both of her friends’ lives.

“I found her right there you know.” Giles said.

“I know.” Buffy whispered.

“She was only going to be gone for a moment.” Giles said. “I should have never let her go alone. I should have been watching her.”

“You didn’t know she was going to it.” Buffy told him.

“I shouldn’t have given her the time to do it. I should have been there for her.” Giles whispered.

“You were there for her.” Buffy offered

“I found her right where Dawn found Tara.” Giles shook his head. “I can only imagine what it was like for her.”

“I can only imagine what it is like for you.” Buffy said.

“I am not a fifteen year old young girl.” Giles said.

Dawn stood in the hallway and watched the two at the door of the bedroom. She hasn’t been able to go in that room since she found Tara. She looked at Buffy for a moment and headed down the stairs in silence. Buffy just pulled on her watchers arm unable to turn and see the room that once held the life of her best friend and her lover Tara. They both made their way down the stairs and met Dawn by the front door.

They all headed out to the car, and Buffy turned and looked one more time into her home. “I hate this house.” She said as she shut the door.

Buffy walked through the alleys on her patrol. It was a hot, sultry night and the demon population seemed to be dwindling down over the summer. A couple sweeps at night since the funeral and she has only dusted a few vampires here and there. She has been going out more lately, even though she knew she didn’t need to. Some nights she would find herself strolling by Spike’s crypt wanting to go inside and see if he is back yet, but she could never go thru with it. She would just sit outside for hours and watch his dark home hoping to see him, but only catching glimpses of Clem every now and then.

Buffy found herself standing outside the cemetery that held almost half of her family at nights. She would stand and watch as the night consumed the tombstones, and finally slowly make her way to the middle of the cemetery. Some nights she would actually stop and visit, stand in front of their graves, sometimes bringing them flowers, or trimming the grass around them. But most of the time she would just sit and talk like she use to when they were alive. Conversations where no different sitting there in the graveyard with them, then in her living room at home when they could be together. Buffy would find herself in tears when she came here to visit, it was the only place anymore she felt she could cry, a place where she felt she needed to cry.

Tonight was no different than any other night she spent here. She sat at the base of their graves plucking at the grass telling them about her day and what has all happened since the last time she visited them. Tears started rolling down her face in soft muffles and whimpers as she sat there.

“I’m sorry about Willow and Tara.” His English accent broke through the silent night sky as he stood in the shadows behind her.

“You said their names.” Buffy smiled like she always did when he visited her here.

“Well, yeah.” Spike whispered.

“I didn’t think you were coming back.” Buffy said never turning to face him afraid he would disappear like all the other nights they spent together in the cemetery alone.

“This is my home.” Spike told her.

“Is that why you came back?” She questioned. “After five months you missed your home?”

“One of the reasons.” He said. “There are others.”

“Why did you come here? To their graves?” She asked.

“I came because I care…”

“A vampire caring.” She mused.

“Yes, I care. I care about Tara and Willow, Joyce, and you.” His last word broke out in a whisper. “I wish I would have been here. I have known them for a long time, and I actually started to care for both of them.”

“Why weren’t you here?”

“I needed to do something. Something important.” He told her.

“We weren’t important?” She questioned.

“You were all important, that’s why I needed to leave. I needed to fix things, make things different.”

“Well they sure are different now, aren’t they.” She interrupted. “That should make you happy.”

“Yeah. Things are different.” He moved past her and she watched as he placed a dozen roses on each of their graves and moved back behind her. “But this doesn’t make me happy.” He stood and stared at her for a moment closing his eyes trying to remember the face he just caught a glimpse of. “I am truly sorry luv.” She finally turned to face him but she only caught a glimpse of his pale skin fade into the darkness of the cemetery.

“I’m sorry too.” She whispered.

Buffy stared after the pale vampire that had faded away. It was a familiar scene to her one that had been invading her dreams since the first night she visited them by herself. He always showed up and talked to her, telling her how sorry he was, but this was the first time she got to see him. This time him being there was different. All the other times he had faded away before she could see his face, but not this time. Tonight was the first time in five months she saw his face. She turned around and three separate bouquets of roses lay on each grave respectfully. Tonight, him being there was real. Spike was really back in Sunnydale. She stood to her feet and ran as fast as her legs would carry her to his crypt stopping just at the steel door. She reached out and pushed the door of his crypt open, and saw him sitting on his chair. His bleached hair stood out like a shinning light in the blackness of the crypt, and he turned around slowly in his chair to face her. His ocean blue eyes burned into her as they stared at each other in silence.

“What are the others?” She asked breaking the silence between the two finally.

“Uh?” He questioned her at with a confused look on his face.

“You…you said there were other reasons you came back for uh, why you came back.” She stammered.

“There are other reasons.” He said.

Spike stood up and moved to the television turning it off, pulling a cigarette out from his pack in his pocket.

“Wha….what are they?” She whispered. “The reasons.”

“You really care?” He asked.

“You haven’t been here for five months, and one night you just show up at their graves, and I haven’t seen you since, since that night.” Buffy explained. “You disappeared that night.”

“Buffy, I…”

“And you just show up tonight.” Buffy continued. “Out of nowhere you show up, and it’s been so long since I have seen you, and so much has happened. And you’re here now.” Tears started to break from her eyes.

“I know so much has changed.” Spike groaned looking at her, dying with every tear that ran down her cheek. He twisted inside with the want to run over to her and hold her in his arms, hold her and let her cry to him, touch her once again, but he backed away from her farther and dug his broken nails into his skin trying to stay away.

“It hurts.” Buffy cried.

“Cor, luv. I know it hurts.” Spike pleaded taking steps back with each need to run to her.

“You don’t know. You haven’t been here to know. But now you’re here.” Buffy sniffled. “Are you staying?”

“Do you want me to?” Spike questioned.

She stepped closer to him and froze when he didn’t move, her hands swiping at the tears that fell down her face. “I better go.” She turned quickly and grabbed the door leaving him alone in his crypt with an unanswered question hanging in the air. She couldn’t stand being there with him anymore crying like she was and hurting as bad as she was, and wanting him as much as she did right then. She wanted him so badly, and she knew it wasn’t right, not after everything that has gone on. Not after five months. She knew though he would make her feel better, and for a brief moment make all this darkness go away, and make her feel something different, something better. She had to leave before it went too far before she woke in his arms.

Buffy tossed and turned in her bed, her dreams invading her sleep like it did most nights. Sweat ran down her brow as she threw her blankets off of her body and tears started to run down her face as she opened her eyes to a lonely dark room. No comfort seemed to come to her even in her dreams. She got up quietly and went to her dresser pulling out a pair of shorts, and then over to her closet to find a shirt to wear. After she got dressed she made her way through the streets of Sunnydale looking for a fight, or just looking to get away from her dreams like she has every night, at least once or twice. The need to hunt hadn’t possessed her like this since after she met the very first Slayer. Like all nights she found herself on the docks looking out over the ocean lost in the sounds the waves made as they crashed against the beach in the dead of night.

“You.” Spike said.

Buffy turned suddenly then relaxed when she saw Spike was the one standing behind her. “Me?” She whispered.

“Yes, you are another reason.” Spike told her.

“Another reason?” She wandered.

“For coming back to Sunnydale. For being at the cemetery that night.” Spike said.

“Oh..”

“There is another reason.” Spike said taking a step closer to her. “I found myself out in the middle of this world missing being able to talk to Joyce, and even missing all of your friends faces.”

“My friends.” Buffy whispered. “Willow and Tara.”

“All of them.” Spike said taking another step towards her. “I’m sorry.”

“You’re sorry?” Buffy looked up at him.

“For everything.” He told her. “For things I shouldn’t be allowed to apologize for, and things that ‘I’m sorry’ won’t make a difference but needs to be said anyways. For stuff I should have been staked for, for things I have no right to talk about, or ask for your forgiveness. For all of it, everything. I’m sorry.” He took another step closer to her, almost able to reach out to her.

Tears started streaming down Buffy’s cheeks as his face came closer to the light and his body came closer to her, almost where she could touch him, almost where she could fall into his arms and cry forever.

“Us.” Spike said moving in front of her reaching out gently and whipping the tears from her face. “Another reason I needed to come home. See if there could be an us, even though there is no reason anymore for that to happen.”

Buffy shook her head inhaling sharply, trying to move away from his touch, but not truly wanting to.

“This.” He said taking her hand in his and placing it to his chest.

Buffy jumped back slightly and then stared at her hand on his chest. “Your…your heart. It’s beating.”

“Many reasons why I came home.” He said cupping his hand against her tear stained cheek lifting her face so he could look into her eyes. “You are still the best.”

“Spike. Wha…why..I mean your heart.” Buffy stammered.

“So many things have changed, luv.” Spike said. “But just because..”

“How did it happen?” Buffy cut him off.

“I asked for it.” Spike told her. “But because I have this doesn’t mean things have changed….”

“Things have changed….I mean, I mean look, your heart.” She stared at her hand feeling his heart beat.

“Things have changed luv, but I don’t want us to change because of it.” Spike said. “I want us to happen because you truly want me.” He moved her hand to his bumpy face, stared at her through his yellow eyes. “All of me.”

She pulled her hands away from his face and backed away from him. “What…what are you? What’s going on?”

“I’m still Spike, just different.” He whispered shaking his demon away.

“How did this happen?” Buffy cried.

“I wanted to be the man you need.” Spike told her. “Apparently they believe you need somebody human, but with a little monster still in them.”

“I…I don’t understand.” Buffy shook her head trying to sort things out. “This doesn’t make any sense.”

“I know it is a lot to take in, luv.” He tried to reach out to her but she backed away quickly. “I’ll, uh leave you be.” He backed away from her and watched as he moved further from her, leaving her on the docks alone, disappearing into the darkness.

Buffy held Spike’s duster tightly in her arms on the porch as she sipped her orange juice. Dawn walked outside and sat down in front of her with her own morning drink. Buffy looked over at her and pulled the jacket in closer to her body.

“How come you have that?” Dawn asked.

“He’s back.” Buffy said flippantly.

“What?!” Dawn asked surprised.

“He’s here, he’s back, he’s in Sunnydale.” Buffy said. “All of the above. He’s home.”

“You’ve seen him?” Dawn asked.

“At first I thought it was just another dream, but it wasn’t.” Buffy told her.

“How…how long has he been here?” Dawn stuttered.

“I don’t know. I think only about a couple weeks maybe.” Buffy said.

“Has he come here?” Dawn whispered.

“No. I, uh have seen him when I have been out.” Buffy offered. “You know, on patrol and stuff.” Withholding the fact he always found her when she was out on her third or fourth patrol for the night.

“I wanna see him.” Dawn said. “I mean, what are you going to do?”

“I don’t know.” Buffy whispered. “He has a heart now.”

“He’s always had a heart.” Dawn laughed.

“I mean, a heartbeat. His heart actually beats beneath his chest.” Buffy told him.

“What? How?” Dawn questioned, stunned by the news.

“He says he wanted it.”

“Is he still, you know, grrr?” Dawn interrupted.

“Yeah.” Buffy said. “He still goes all bumpy.”

“How do you know his heart beats?” Dawn asked, still shocked by the news.

“I felt it.” Buffy breathed. “I felt his heart beat beneath my hand, and he wanted it, he asked for it, for me, for us.” Buffy shook her head and squeezed the jacket once again.

“What are you going to do?” Dawn asked.

“I don’t know.” Buffy told her. “Things are so different, and sometimes I miss him so much.”

“Well now he is here.” Dawn offered. “You can start by talking.”

“He doesn’t want me to want him just because he has a….well he is different now.” Buffy told her.

“But that isn’t the only reason you want him.” Dawn said. “You want him, I can see it all the time, for five months have seen it, and now he is here, and if you don’t go see him right now, I am, and you’ll just have to wait your turn.”

“What would I say?” Buffy asked.

“Hey, is usually a great opener.” Dawn smiled, got up and took the empty glass from Buffy’s hand and went into the house.

****************************

Buffy stood outside Spike’s crypt and gently placed her hand on the cold steel of the door. She knew he was in there, probably sleeping since it was daytime, but that wasn’t always Spike’s style. Her heart raced as she stood there trying to force herself to just open the door and go and see him. The door swung open suddenly and Buffy jumped backwards, startled for just a moment. Spike stood in the doorway carefully hiding from the sunlight it was still just as deadly to him as before his heartbeat. He stared into her green eyes and then turned away from her and walked into his home.

“Uh, hi.” Buffy said softly still standing at the door.

“Aren’t you going to come in Slayer?” Spike asked. “Or just stand there all day.”

“Oh, uh, yeah. I wanted to…to come in.” She walked through the door and turned to shut it, pausing for a moment pressing her head against the steel. She inhaled sharply and turned around.

“Can I ask you something?” Spike wondered.

“Uh, yeah, of course.” Buffy said.

“How did Red, I mean, Willow?” Spike stuttered for a moment, and paused when he saw Buffy’s face turn pale, and tears welled up in her eyes. “We don’t have to..”

“No, it’s alright.” Buffy interrupted him. “I guess you should know, I guess.”

“Well, I know about Tara. Word like that travels fast in the demon world.” Spike told her.

“Yeah, I guess it does.” Tears started to break down her cheeks as all the memories began to flood her mind. This was the first time she had talked about it since it all happened. This was the first time she got to sit with Spike and talk to him about it. He was the only one she wanted to talk to anyways. “Then I guess you heard about Willow when she…” Her words cut off as she tried to think of what to say.

“I heard everything that happened. Tara, Willow gone bad, you.” He said softly.

“Me?” She looked at him for a moment.

“I almost died, and then…then I heard you survived what happened.” Spike said going over to get a cigarette from his pack. “I heard Willow was alright until I got back to Sunnydale, and then I found out, and I was just wandering. But we don’t have to.”

“I…I want to.” Buffy told him. “I have been wanting to I guess, but you were never hear.” She looked up at him and a small smile broke through her tears. She moved across the room and sat in his chair, so she could see him as she talked. “After everything happened, you know, Giles was going to take her to England to help her I guess. She was going to go the next day. I found a note under my pillow on my bed after the hospital.” Tears started falling more and she could barely finish what she was saying. Spike took a step closer to her and she put her hand up to keep him from moving any further. “She just couldn’t take it anymore. She said she wasn’t strong, you know in the note, but she was. I know she was. She just couldn’t see it is all, and…I miss her so much.” Her hand feel to her face and she cried, this time it was different than all the others. This time when she cried she was really crying, not hiding, or holding back, or trying to be strong, this time she was really crying.

Spike ran over to and held her in his arms as she cried. He soothed her, and calmed her with gentle words, kissing her forehead gently. She moved closer into his embrace and moved her lips up to his and gently roamed her lips over his. He could taste her tears as he parted his lips carefully tasting her for the time in months. He pulled from her quickly and got up from the chair backing away from her.

“We can’t.” Spike said.

“You don’t want me?” Buffy cried.

“Cor, Slayer I want you more than anything, more than I should.” Spike groaned.

“I want you too.” Buffy said and got up moving over to him taking his face in her hands trying to kiss him once again.

He took her arms and pushed them away from him, twisting from her embrace. “You want me now, because I am different, because you need something to make you feel better, just like before, and I won’t go there. I won’t be the thing that makes you feel better when you hurt so much. I won’t do that again. Not with you, not when I love you this much.”

“Things are different now, I’m different.” Buffy protested.

“And I am..”

“Spike I have missed you so much, all I have thought about is being with you.”

“That’s because I was gone.” Spike stopped her.

“No, it is because I want you. You have been a part of me since the minute you left, my dreams, everything. I want you, and have missed you so much it hurt.” Buffy told him moving closer to him, she grabbed his hand and placed it on her chest. “It hurt here.”

He could feel her heart beat pound in her chest, and he put her hand on his chest over his heart, so she could feel it pound with her touch against his pale skin. “This is what you do to me Slayer.”

“I want us to be together.” Buffy said. “It is too much to be apart, too hard.”

“You don’t even know what I am, pet.” Spike shook his head.

“I know you’re Spike, and I know I want you and need you. I know my life is too short and too hard not be with who I want and I want you.” Buffy cried her hand drew up to his face and she pulled him down to hers in a gentle kiss begging for him to part his lips. She pulled on his bottom lip until he opened his mouth and their tongues dueled.

“This can’t go back to the way it was.” Spike said pulling away from her lips still afraid to pull her into his arms.

Buffy wrapped her arms around his neck locking her fingers together. “It won’t be. I need you too much. I want you to badly, and you make me more than happy. You make me full, complete.”

Spike smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to his body. He leaned down and kissed her, this time more wanting and passion flowed through them. Her tongue sensually grazed over his and she moaned into his mouth as he lifted her up and walked them both to the ladder leading to the basement. He let go of her for a moment, and she whimpered at the loss of his touch.

“Why did you stop?” Buffy questioned.

“We can’t go down the ladder like that.” Spike smiled.

“I don’t want stop touching you though.” Buffy frowned.

“I am going.” Spike kissed her cheek. “Make love to you.” He kissed her other cheek. “Like a man is suppose to make love to the woman he loves.” He kissed her lips gently. “After you luv.”

Buffy went down the ladder and Spike followed, pulling Buffy into his arms when they reached the ground. He sucked on her ear, and kissed down her neck as she leaned back into him feeling him grow harder against the small of her back. She grinded her hips against him eliciting a feral groan from him, and a smirk formed on her face as she pulled away from him quickly, turning to face him. She walked backwards towards the bed, and she slid a finger into her mouth, playfully licking and sucking on it.

Spike tugged at the growing painful erection pressing against the zipper of his jeans as he watched her tease him as she moved to his bed. He pulled his shirt off of her arms and undid the zipper on his jeans as he strolled closer to her. She ran her wet finger down the side of her neck and tugged on at the buttons on her shirt.

“Ah, ah, ah, pet.” Spike said reaching out and stopping her from unbuttoning her shirt. “Let me.”

Spike unbuttoned the buttons on her shirt and pulled it off of her shoulders running his fingertips over the straps of her bra tugging them down. Her shirt fell to the floor in a whisper and he moved his hand gently over her chest, running his thumb carefully under her bra, grazing her hardening nipples.

“Hmmm, Spi…” Spike cut her off capturing her lips with his as his hands moved to the front clasp of her bra and letting it fall to the ground just as softly as her shirt. He bit down on her bottom lip gently as his hands moved down her sides and tugged on her waist of her jeans.

“Hmm, Spike call me sweetheart please.” Buffy begged as his tongue licked over her sensitive neck.

Spike smiled as he unfastened the buttons on her jeans and pulled them and her panties down. His tongue slid down her neck to her chest as he pulled her pants down closer to the ground. He pulled a pert nipple into his mouth and teased it with his tongue as he let go of her jeans and she stepped from them. He put one hand around her waist and the other tugged and played with her forgotten nipple.

“Please, Spike.” Buffy moaned.

He pulled on her nipple and moved to her other breast and licked the teased nipple then stood up picking Buffy up into his arms. He moved over to the bed and laid Buffy down gently, and watched as she crawled up the bed never taking her eyes off of Spike. She watched as he pushed his jeans down and his hard on came out bobbing against his sculpted stomach. She lay there watching, her long blonde hair curving around her tanned shoulders, embracing her soft face. His naked body crawled up the bed over hers and she lay back as he moved over top of her, gently parting her legs so he could move between them.

“You are so beautiful.” Spike whispered kissing the sensitive skin behind her ear. “Sweetheart.” He smiled and sucked on her ear biting her gently as he slid into her. He moved slowly inside, savoring every inch, feeling her like it was the first time. He pulled out of her gently barely keeping inside of her, making sure he never lost the contact of her warmth, her heat, her wetness.

Buffy wrapped her legs around his waist pulling him in closer, trying to get him inside of her all the way. He resisted picking up the pace as her heat surrounded, almost burning his cool flesh, and Buffy clawed at his back, as his movements were torturous and slow. He moved his head down to hers so he could watch her face, and see her eyes as he slowly made her feel, slowly moved in and out of her. She leaned up and licked over his wet lips, and he growled nipping at her lips trying to catch her.

“Oh God, please Spike.” Buffy moaned.

“You feel so good luv.” Spike groaned. “Sweetheart.”

“Hmmm.” Buffy moaned flipping him over on his back she leaned down into him and kissed him. Their tongues dueled together and she broke away as he began to purr, her hands sliding over his chest rubbing on his sides and down his body as her lips grazed over his neck then his chest, pausing as she felt his heart pound against her lips. Her tongue danced over his nipple and she bit him carefully, smiled as he growled. Her tongue roamed down his body, sucking on his skin, dipping into his belly button. He clawed at the sheets as she ran her tongue down the side of his cock, pulling on his lips. She wrapped her lips around his cock and his hands grabbed at her hair as she took in his length slowly inching her way down his cock. Spike began to buck his hips against her.

“Cor Slayer, you have to stop.” Spike growled. “I’m going to….oh cor, stop.” He pulled her up off of him and stared down at her. “Not like that luv.” He rolled her back over and separated her legs, dipping his head down and licking her, circling gently over her clit.

“Oh my God, Spike.” Buffy moaned as her fingers dug into his hair.

He moved up her body quickly sliding himself inside her again, burying himself completely in her heat, her body. “Like this sweetheart.”

“Please, Spike I uh…uh….uh want you so bad.” Buffy moaned.

He moved inside of her, his hand sliding down between them and he tugged and played with her clit. “Oh my God Spike. Please let me, oh God, uh…uh let me come. Please.” Buffy begged.

His paced picked up and he moved harder and faster inside of her. Her walls began to shudder around his length, and his body began to shake against her. “Cor luv come with me. You’re so hot. I can’t take it.” Spike growled.

He moved down and kissed her hard and carnal, tasting all of her. His teeth grazed over her tongue and he bit her lip gently as he pressed on her clit.

“Spike, please make me cum. Bite me please.” Buffy begged pulling away from his lips.

He ran his tongue over her neck he began pounding into her harder, her moans and grunts echoing through his home. His face shifted as his release was on the edge, and she could feel her walls quiver and shudder around him as her orgasm began to rip through her body. His fangs pierced into her neck her blood pooling out over his lips.

“Oh Spike. Oh, God.” Buffy yelled as she came squeezing her walls around him.

“Buuuuuufy!” Spike shouted as he came, spilling his seed into her.

Spike collapsed down on top of Buffy and stayed there while their orgasms waved over their body and they began to relax. His body relaxed and became heavy on hers, as she unwrapped her legs from his waist, and he rolled over. Spike leaned down and grabbed a blanket pulling it over their bodies, and then pulled Buffy closer into his arms. She curled up into his arms and her eyes started to drift shut as she still reveled in the after lasting ecstasy.

“You never let me do that before luv.” Spike mentioned.

“Do what?” Buffy breathed thru heavy eyelids.

“Bite you.” Spike said.

“Well I never wanted you as much as I want you now.” Buffy said opening her eyes and turning around to face him.

“You want all of me?” Spike questioned. “Even if we don’t know exactly what I am?”

“I know what you are.” Buffy smiled, kissing him gently. “You’re my Spike. You’re my other half.”

“You’re my other half uh?” Spike chuckled.

“Well they sent you to me for some reason.” Buffy smiled.

“It would have nothing to do with the fact I love you, would it?” Spike smirked.

“That could be a reason.” Buffy smiled kissing him again and curling herself up into his arms, her head on his chest. “I still can’t get over it.”

“Get over what?” Spike asked.

“Your heart.” Buffy smiled as she listened to it. “It beats. It’s so amazing.”

“You’ve had other guys that had heart beats.” Spike said.

“You make it sound like I have had a lot. I have only for your information had four, and not a vampire boyfriend with one.” Buffy told him.

“Boyfriend uh?” Spike smiled.

“Yeah, well you know. If you want to be.” Buffy recovered from what she said a bit scared he would refuse her.

“You know I love you. I would love to be your boyfriend.” Spike smiled.

“Buffy.”

“Uh?” Spike wandered.

“I love you Buffy.” She said.

“I love you Buffy.” Spike smiled leaning down and kissing the back of her head.

“I love you too Spike.” Buffy whispered loud enough for him to hear.

“William.”

Buffy turned around and looked into his alabaster face, so perfect, so defined, an ageless beautiful sculpture. “I…I love you William.” Buffy smiled and kissed him.
