"I can’t believe you lost them!" Riley roared at the group of Commandos behind him as all of them stalked over towards the Slayer’s home. "How was that possible?"

"We’re sorry sir! We thought we had them but suddenly they just darted right through us and disappeared. We all searched for them for about an hour and still couldn’t find them." One of the Commandos, who went by the name of Randall Blake, tried to explain to Riley but somehow it seemed like the raven-haired man wasn’t even really listening. He was to busy getting to the Summers residence as fast as he could.

"I knew I should’ve gone with you. I would’ve not let them get away!" Riley hissed as they finally reached the street. When Riley saw the house in the horizon, he turned around to face the group of men before him. "You three will put up a perimeter around the house while the rest of us head inside!" Riley ordered and then glanced over his shoulder at the house. "You will shoot at him on sight."

The men nodded in response and just as they were about to head down the street Randall stopped the group and looked directly at Riley. "What about the Slayer sir? What should we do with her?"

Riley sighed with frustration as he ran his hand down his face and began to think. Looking back up at the group, Riley only nodded his head. "Shoot her too. Now come on!" He motioned them on as the man began to jog towards 1630 Revello Drive.

When they had reached the front door of the Slayer’s house, Riley took in a deep breath. He hoped and prayed that Buffy wasn’t home and it was just Spike. Riley didn’t want to hurt her. "Alright boys, on the count of three." Taking in another sharp breath, Riley took his tranquilizer gun out from his coat and gripped it tight in his hand. "One. Two. Three!"

And with that the men charged into the house, guns ready to fire but were surprised when they found the downstairs totally vacant.

"Check up stairs!" Riley barked as the other men head upstairs while he slowly walked towards the basement. Smiling wickedly, Riley threw the door open and ran downstairs to find it empty also. "Damn!" He cursed under his breath, heading back towards the front door where the rest of his men were waiting for them. "Find anything?"

"No, but it does look like he and the Slayer have skipped town." Randall informed Riley whose face contorted into ultimate anger. "What do we do now sir?"

"We try to find them, that’s what we do." Riley growled as the group headed out of the house. "Some of you will help me search for Spike and the Slayer while the rest of you will look for the child. Got it?"

All of them nodded in unison, watching their leader stalk down the street. They could tell this man was determined to find this man and this woman. There was no doubt about it.

"Xander why do we have to shack up in a motel?" Anya whined as she drug her suitcase into the old musty motel room, her son following quickly behind her pacing his small Mickey Mouse backpack on one of the two beds in the room.

"Because Ahn, we don’t want to risk Riley finding us also." Xander huffed as he also brought his suitcase into the room, throwing it on the bed where Jacob had put his bag. "It’s too dangerous for the kids."

"Well, we at least could’ve gotten a better room." Announced Dawn as she brought in her and Erin’s bags into the room, observing the room that they would be staying. It looked as if they were stuck in the 60’s. The carpet was sickening neon green, the comforters on the bed made to match the color of the carpet. It smelled like a bar in there, it was like cheep beer and tobacco. Dawn immediately plugged her nose when she got a whiff of the room. "I mean not to sound snobbish or anything."

"It’ll do for the time being." Willow approved as she entered the room behind Dawn, holding Erin’s hand while dragging in both of their suitcases. "I guess Dawn, Erin and I will take the connecting room and you three can take this one."

"Sounds like a plan!" Anya said in a chipper voice as she spun on her heels and began to unpack her things while the Willow, Dawn and Erin went into their own room.

When they had got into their own room, Dawn sighed as she placed her own bag on a bed and then turned to Erin who was sitting sadly next to her, looking down at Spike’s ring in her hands.

"Erin sweety, how you doing?" The brunette asked as she sat down beside the small girl, Willow sitting on the other side of the child.

"I miss my daddy." The little girl whimpered, looking up at Dawn with sad blue eyes. "I miss Vuffy too." She sniffled, wiping away the tears that were running down her rosy cheeks. "I want dem to come home."

"Don’t worry baby," Willow cooed as she laid the child’s head onto her lap and began to run her hand down her back. The blonde child began to smile at the memory of her father doing this to her often at night when she couldn’t go to sleep. "They’ll be back. They just needed to make the bad man get away from you. So that you can be safe." The red head tried to explain to the child the best she could.

"I know." Erin whispered sadly, tears still falling down her cheeks. "My daddy said he would come back. He promised me. Daddy never breawks a prowmise to a lady."

"That’s right sweetheart." Dawn nodded her head, looking down at the child who was quickly falling asleep in Willow’s lap. "Do you really think they’ll make it back in one piece?" Dawn asked Willow quietly as soon as the little girl had fallen into a deep sleep.

"I don’t know what to say Dawn." Willow told truthfully, placing Erin’s head down on the bed and began to unpack her own belongings. "Buffy has faced the Initiative before and I am sure Spike can probably still hold his own."

"Yeah but that really didn’t answer my question, Wills. Do you think they’ll be okay?"

Willow let out a deep sigh, suddenly becoming very interested in the article of clothing that she held hands. "I don’t know what to say Dawn. If Riley could’ve found Spike that easily then just think of how well he can find him once again."

Seeing the pain and worry in Dawn’s big blue eyes, Willow continued on, hoping that she might give some hope to the Slayer that everything might be okay. "I wish I could say that everything was going to be okay but I just have this feeling that something is going to happen. I don’t know if it is good or bad, heck it might be both. But something big is going to happen."

"Well, I’m just going to pretend for now that everything is going to be alright and that Spike and Buffy will come back home together. There’s no harm in pretending for awhile, for Erin’s sake." Dawn said as she felt herself tearing up as well. She would hate for her sister to come home and say that they’d found Spike and taken him away. It would be probably her worst dream imaginable, that and that neither of them would come home at all because they were both dead.

"It’s okay to pretend." Willow told her reassuringly, running her hand down the girl’s hair gently. "We shouldn’t worry that much, they’ve only been gone a couple of hours. I’m sure they’re fine."

Buffy tore her eyes away from the passenger window and turned towards Spike who kept his eyes busily on the road, not looking over at her. He had been like that for the last couple of hours. Not saying a word to her. She knew he wasn’t mad, his face expression would’ve told her so.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked him softly and as soon as the words expelled from her mouth, Buffy quickly turned back to look out the window.

"I feel that I have done something terrible." He replied, his voice wavering a bit. Buffy looked over at him to find him staring at her slightly while keeping his eyes focused on the road. "That I’ve abandoned her in some way."

Buffy sighed sadly as she turned her whole body to face him and looked him deeply in the eyes. "William you didn’t abandon her. You’re doing this to protect her. She knows that. You’re just trying to protect her."

"That’s what I keep telling myself." He whispered, glancing down at the steering wheel. You could hear the pain in his voice as he spoke to her. "I knew I didn’t have the balls to do this. This was a stupid plan, what’s wrong with me?"

"Nothing is wrong with you." Buffy told him firmly as she moved over closer to him, placing her hand tentatively on his shoulder. "If you would’ve stayed then God knows what would’ve happened. You could’ve died and Erin could’ve gotten hurt. This way nothing happens to no one."

"How can be so sure?"

"I can’t but I know if they come after you, I’ll try everything in my power to make sure that they won’t touch you." She told him softly, running a hand down his cheek slowly. Spike took her hand in his and kissed the back of it gently.

"Why don’t you rest…we got a way to go before we stop again." He told her before guiding her head down towards his thigh. Buffy grinned with happiness as her eyelids became heavy and before the Slayer knew it, she was fast asleep.

Erin sighed as she began to toss and turn in her bed. It was now sunset and the rest of the gang was in the other room playing card games. She wasn’t really for playing anything at the moment. Looking out of the window, Erin saw a full moon now glowing eerily in the sky. It made her think of her Daddy.

"Where are you Daddy?" She whispered quietly to herself, imagining that he was lying next to her in bed, making her feel better about this whole situation. "Don’t worry Daddy, I’m not mad at you for leaving." The little blonde began to shake her head as a small tear ran down her rosy cheek. "I just wish I could see you."

"Erin?" A small voice called softly from the other side of the room. Erin instantly knew it was Jacob, she just really didn’t want to answer him. Jacob frowned when he didn’t get a response from her. He loved it when she talked to him; her voice was so pretty. Jacob slightly blushed when he thought of Erin’s pretty little voice.

Sighing to himself, Jacob slowly made his way towards the bed where Erin lay and sat down beside her. The dark brunette reached his hand out and ran it down her long blonde hair. The small blonde girl let a small smile play on her lips when she felt his hand on her hair. Jacob knew that her Daddy liked to do that to her when she was sad.

"Hi Jacob." She breathed, finally responding to his presence, sounding happy to have them there with her. "Why aren’t you playing games?" She asked him quietly, turning around to face him.

"Got tired of them. Also, my mom and dad were kissing again and I don’t want to see that!" He cringed, getting images of his parents kissing.

"Yeah, My daddy and my new mommy Vuffy, they like to kiss a lot. It makes me laugh!" The little girl slightly giggled, remembering the other day when her Daddy and mommy where in the kitchen, kissing. "I miss them." She then said silently as if she was only talking to herself.

Jacob’s face softened as he lay down next her, looking up at the ceiling. "I miss them too. I like your Dad he makes me laugh." Jacob chuckled, slightly glancing over at her and then back at the ceiling. "They’re going to be okay, Erin."

"I know…" She sighed sadly, looking up at the ceiling above her also, placing her arms behind her head, using them as a pillow.

"Are you sad Erin?"

"Yeah…just a little. My daddy makes me feel safe and happy."

"Don’t be sad Erin…" Jacob whispered, planting a childlike kiss on her temple, which caused the small girl’s cheeks to blush. "I don’t like it when you’re sad. It makes me sad too." Erin looked over at her friend and slightly smiled at him then went back to looking at the ceiling. "Don’t worry… I’ll take care of you."

"Thanks."

Riley shook his head with frustration as he looked down at the papers in front of him. "Sir, I’m truly sorry but I don’t know what to do!" He huffed into the receiver at his Commander.

"Well this is a fine mess you’ve gotten yourself into Finn! You should’ve been smart enough to go with the team yourself and help capture him! You’re the only one knows how he and the Slayer are! How stupid can you be?!" The older man ranted and raved, suddenly feeling an intense migraine coming on as he continued to yell at the young man.

"I know sir! I know! I screwed up! Now I called you for assistance and I would please like some now!" Riley growled. Does he not already know that I hate myself for letting them get away! Riley thought in his head, I mean, he is the one assigned me to this whole project, he knows I haven’t done work like this since I left the Initiative! He can’t except me to come back and be the same Riley Finn!

"What about the other’s…her friends?" The Commander sighed heavily into the phone, rubbing his temples with his fingers, hoping that his migraine would disappear.

"We’re looking Commander, I’ve sent 3 of the men to search for them." Riley confirmed, feeling his anger dying down slightly.

"Hmm…" The Commander began to think, shutting his eyes loosely. Suddenly an idea formed in his head and his eyes immediately opened. "I think I might have a plan…"

"Do tell…"

Buffy’s eyes began to flutter open, and when she did, Buffy felt cold and alone. Looking around, the former Slayer realized she was sprawled out on the front seat of the SUV and totally alone. All she could hear was the slight humming of the radio and the sounds of a fire crackling.

"What the hell?" She thought out loud as she got up out of the car and was surprised to see a blazing fire situated behind the car. The trunk was wide open and was filled with two sleeping bags and a couple of pillows and blankets. God when did Spike have the time to throw all those into the car? Buffy wondered as she continued to stare at the sleeping arrangement before her. Speaking of Spike…where was he?

"Spike?" She spoke to the air, hoping that Spike would somehow call out to her in response. Suddenly a small wind swept by the Slayer, causing goose bumps to form on her arms and legs. Okay, she mused; I am getting kind of worried now! "Spike!" She said once more but this time with a little bit more volume. "SPIKE! Where are you? Spike…!"

"Right here luv." He whispered deeply into her ear, which caused her to jump, startled. "Didn’t mean to make you jumpy Slayer…" He joked, delicately wrapping his around her waist.

"Don’t scare me like that Spike! I thought you were in danger." She hissed slightly but then breathed with a sense of relief that he was okay. "You come and scare me like that when I was becoming so worried about you! I thought something terrible had happened!" She whined, sticking out her bottom lip slightly. "You’re evil."

"Now pet," he chuckled, resting his chin on her shoulder, "remember, we already discussed this. I’m not evil."

"I know…" she groaned with an amused smile on her face. "So…where did you go?" She asked playfully, resting her own head against his neck and took in a deep breath. Another wonderful moment, Buffy thought pleasantly as he pulled her closer to his body. Buffy could feel the heat of his body warming up the temperature of her own.

"Had to get some more firewood," he told her, unlocking his arms from around her slim figure and moved towards the blazing fire, tossing a couple of pieces into it. "It’s a bit chilly out here and don’t want us to get all…" Spike paused as he began to feel a throbbing pain in his head. The blonde man’s face began to scrunch up in pain, as it became for intense. "Oh God…" He groaned in suffering as he placed his hand up towards one of his temples and began to put pressure on it, hoping it would stop.

Suddenly, Spike could feel Buffy’s hands touch the sides of his face, rubbing it lovingly. His body soon became calm and suddenly the pain in his head became no more. Letting a smile play on his lips, Spike opened his eyes to find Buffy staring at him with utter worry.

"Are you okay?" She asked tenderly, running one of her hands down his face with care. "You got me scared there for a moment…for the second time tonight."

"I’m alright. Just got a little headache is all." He tried to explain to her, shaking his head. Truth be told, the sudden migraine kind of scared him. He didn’t want to think about it at this moment though, so he just shook it off and smiled at her once again. "Maybe all I need is some sleep."

Spike sighed as he sent her one last smile before climbing into the back of the SUV and began to lie out the sleeping bags for them. "All ready then." He told her as he finally lay down and allowed her to crawl in next to him while the radio began to play a soft song.

*Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments
I'll remember all my life
I found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more *

Buffy grinned with pleasure as she snuggled deep into his body, laying her head on his chest while wrapping her arms around his waist. Looking up at him, Buffy had forgotten what candlelight did to his features. They made him look more handsome and beautiful than she could ever think possible. Buffy loved how she could look at him sometimes and find that he seemed more attractive to her, inside and out. Like she was in heaven once again.

Spike could feel Buffy’s eyes on him and looked down at her. He couldn’t help but smile back at her. The look on her face made him feel like he could weep for joy. There was immense adoration in her eyes. God she’s so beautiful, Spike thought blissfully as he took a strand of her and placed it behind her ear. He felt like he could do this forever.

*Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me
These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
These are the moments I know all I need is this
I have all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more*

"Buffy…I want to tell you something…" He whispered slowly and deeply as if he felt like he might explode right there from that loving look she was giving him. He had to tell her this, soon as possible.

"What is it William?" It was strange because she had always called him Spike and it seemed that whenever something emotional was going on, she referred to him as William.

"For the last couple of days…I mean…I just…God how can I say this?"

"Tell me." Buffy urged on but not forcefully, she placed her hand on his cheek once again and began to rub his skin thoughtfully. It always seemed to calm him down and this time it did as he took in a deep breath and looked her deep in the eyes, burning hole right through her head. "It’s okay." She gulped feeling the heat of his look.

"I wanted to tell you this incase something happened to me, and I…" Spike let out another breath as he tried to sort out his words. God why did this have to be so hard? It was so much easier in his head. "I think…I might be…falling in love with you. I think…I am in love with you."

Buffy’s only widened as she heard his words replayed over and over in her head. He loves me! She cheered happily. Oh my God! It’s finally happened!

Spike shut his eyes as he felt like rejection was coming upon him but was surprised when he felt Buffy’s lips brush against his in a soft kiss. "I love you too." She whispered in his ear with complete happiness.

*I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
Every prayer has been answered
Every dream I have's come true
And right here in this moment is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me*

Spike laughed with happiness as he kissed her soundly on the mouth as if he as pouring his whole heart and soul into that very kiss. Both of them felt like they were going to fly at any moment. It was a breath of fresh air. Somehow during this whole thing with Riley and the Initiative they had found each other again.

*These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've got all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more*

Buffy hadn’t realized how long they had been kissing when she felt Spike pull away from her in need of breath. "God, I forgot how good this felt." He panted, running his hands through her hair, resting his forehead gently against hers. He took in a deep breath, trying to inhale her scent, memorizing it.

"Me too." She breathed kissing his forehead tenderly and then began to trace small kisses down his face until she met his lips once again. This time their kiss wasn’t slow and pure it was more deep and passionate. The former Slayer let out a moan when she felt Spike’s hands travel away from her waist and under her shirt, stroking her ribs with his thumbs.

The blonde woman was surprised for the millionth time tonight when Spike pulled away from her for the second time. Looking up into his eyes, she could see the light and spirit returning to them. Was that because of me? She wondered and felt her cheeks began to blush at the thought.

The woman was pulled out of her by Spike’s low and purring voice. "Make love to me Buffy, please." He couldn’t believe what was happening but he liked it.

"God yes." She breathed, kissing him gently on the mouth, savoring every taste of his lips. She wanted things to be slow and gentle this time and not fast and quick like it use to be in the past when they were together. She wanted to remember this for the rest of her life. It was going to be beautiful and as Spike said to her once, it was going to be a ‘bloody revelation’.

*I could not ask for more than the love you give me
'Coz it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more*

Buffy paused for a moment and looked down at him once more. And then a smile came to her lips. "I love you."

Dawn snapped her head over towards the bed next to her as painful moans began to flow out of Willow’s lips. The redhead had fallen asleep while Dawn, Erin and Jacob had been watching a movie and then all of sudden Willow began to toss and turn vigorously, starting to moan painfully.

"What’s wrong with Willow?" Jacob asked Dawn, looking at her with bright green eyes. There was worry on the young child’s face. "Is she okay?"

"I think she is having a nightmare, Jake." Dawn replied as she furrowed her eyebrows at the red head that was still tossing and turning in her head, her face scrunched up into several defined wrinkles.

"I dink you should wake ‘er up." Erin told the young woman, pointing at Willow. "I always wake up my daddy when he had bad dreams."

Dawn nodded her head as she removed Erin from her lap and crawled over towards Willow’s bed and began to shake her lightly, trying to rouse her.

"Come on Wills. Time to wake up." Dawn told her has she continued on trying to wake her up. Dawn jumped back though when Willow suddenly sat up in bed. The red head looked startled and frightened both at the same time. "Willow you okay?" Dawn asked quietly as she placed a tender hair on the ex-witch’s shoulder.

"It was just a dream…" Willow whispered to herself quietly as cold sweat began to trail down her face. Both of the children who were still situated on the bed looked over at the red headed woman with curiosity. "It was just a dream." This time her voice sounded as if she was trying to convince herself of something.

"Willow what happened?" Dawn asked her with worry as she sat down on the bed next to the red head.

"I…" Willow was about to start to tell the brunette her dream but stopped when she saw the two children watching her with curious eyes. "Jacob, Erin, why don’t you go into the other room while I talk to Dawnie?"

Erin was about the object to such a suggestion but was stopped when Jacob placed a hand on her shoulder and stared into her eyes. After a while she let out a sigh and reluctantly followed Jacob into the other room.

Willow had a look of relief when Erin had finally closed the door to the room, leaving the two women alone. "What happened Willow? What was your dream about?"

The red head looked over at the Slayer and had a look of pain in her eyes. "Well…it was all fine in the beginning…I was on a beach. It was sunset and it was so beautiful. When I turned around there was Buffy’s car with a large blazing fire behind it. Then suddenly out of nowhere, Spike and Buffy showed up and they were kissing and acting all lovey dovey. It was actually kind of cute."

"Really?" Dawn asked with hope in her eyes. She so wanted her sister and her best friend to find happiness, and if that was with each other than so be it.

Willow nodded her head slowly as she continued on with her story. "It was then getting a bit too steamy when suddenly I was thrown into this huge white room. Everything was so bright. Then I heard these voices and when I turned around…" Willow choked back a sob when the events from her dream began to play through her mind. Over and over again, they wouldn’t stop. "I saw Spike cowering in a corner with all these doctors around him, they wouldn’t leave him alone. I tried to make them go away but they wouldn’t. He was crying, practically sobbing." Willow sniffled as she felt the tears run down her face.

Willow wouldn’t tell Dawn on his physical condition in her dream; he was bruised all over his body. These weren’t your everyday bruises they were deep and black some of them were even yellow and orange. Majority of them was the size of small dinner plates. There were also cuts streamed along his arms, legs and face. Willow wept for him in her dream, she couldn’t stand watching her friend be harmed.

"What happened next?" Dawn asked tentatively.

"Then the whole place went whoosh and I was still in the same room with Spike only this time Riley was there with him. Oh Dawnie, it was so terrible. Riley was beating him and cursing at him. He would kick him and…"

That’s when the tears began to pour out of Willow’s eyes until she was sobbing erratically on Dawn’s shoulder, unable to stop herself. After a few minutes though, the red head’s sobbing quieted down.

"Don’t worry Wills. Nothing is going to happen to Spike and Buffy. They’ll protect each other." Dawn reassured the older woman, stroking her hair with comfort. Hoping to rest the red head’s queries. God please let nothing happen, Dawn thought.

"I don’t know Dawn. It seemed so real. I just…I couldn’t stop them. They wouldn’t leave him alone! It was so real." Willow babbled with worry, her eyes all puffy and read, her shoulders slumped with sadness.

"It’s okay…It’ll be okay." Dawn whispered to Willow, hugging her tightly. "I hope."

~*~

Spike shut his eyes tightly as he felt the pain in his head come once again. He had woken up to the pain and it had been off and on for the past 30 minutes. As he sat in the cold sand, Spike began to wonder. Could it be the chip? He thought, placing his hands over to eyes, applying pressure to them, hoping it would make the headache fade away. Could he still have it in his head and just not have ever noticed? Were they tracking him through the chip?

The beach’s wind began to pick up and Spike began to shiver. He now wished he would’ve put on his shirt before he crawled out of the trunk, instead he was just out here in a pair of pants. He had been so warm until now. All night he had been warm, well…for obvious reasons. Last night had been perfect for Spike. It was just like he imagined it to be. It wasn’t all about sex last night; it was also about their love for each other.

It gave Spike sudden comfort when he realized that the lovemaking wasn’t just one sided because they both loved each other now. He has happy, completely happy. He felt like he could do anything now.

Spike was pulled out of his thoughts though when a small voice called out from behind him. "You know this is the second time that I’ve woken up and I’ve been alone." Buffy joked as she stood behind him.

The blonde man shook his head as he stood up and faced the ocean, his back still facing her. "Well you know, didn’t want to wake up and have you…"

When Spike turned around to face her, he had become a lost for words. When he said that she was beautiful in the morning that was an understatement because right there at that very moment she was so much more than that.

"You’re wearing my clothes…" He said in a daze as he stood there looking at her. She was wearing his boxer shorts and the shirt he had been wearing last night. Her hair was ruffled but not too much and she didn't have any make up on which allowed the sunlight to reflect off of her face, making her glow.

"You don’t like?" She pouted slightly, walking over to him slowly, cutting off any space between them.

"Now who said that?" He smirked at her and then wrapped his arms around her tightly. "Surely it wasn’t me." His smirk faded away though when he leaned forward, so that his mouth was centimeters from her ear. "Actually, luv, you look quite rather gorgeous in my clothes." He whispered huskily in her ear.

Buffy blushed as she felt the heat of his words against her ear. God there he goes with the making me all funny inside. She thought as her stomach did a flip-flop motion. "You’re the devil with your fancy talk. Making me all tingly inside." She giggled happily and then swatted him on the chest playfully, "bad William."

"Hmm…you think so eh? That sounds tempting." He grinned kissing her soundly on the mouth. This is the perfect morning after, he mused in his head but all thoughts banished from his mind when Buffy let out a pleasured moan when she entered her tongue inside his mouth.

Buffy beamed as both she and Spike reluctantly pulled away from each other. "God, I love you." She breathed, running her hand down the side of his face. Her eyes set directly on his. "I don’t know what took me so long to figure it out."

"I dunno…I kind of like how things have turned out now, pet." He grinned, placing small kisses on her mouth; each one getting more intense as they went on. Buffy grinned as Spike ran his hands through her hair. The former Slayer was surprised when her new boyfriend pulled away from her. "You know…" He smirked as he began to entwine his fingers through her hair, "I love his hair, especially the way it bounces when…"

"I think I know the way this is going." Buffy grinned with happiness, kissing him soundly on the mouth. "I like it though, please continue!" She chirped, kissing him once more on the lips.

"Hmm…" He furrowed his eyebrow mockingly, running his hands easily under her shirt, stroking her smooth skin with ease. "Where to start? Well…like I said before, seeing you in my clothes, that’s just…wow!" He chuckled as did Buffy and then he continued, "there aren’t just enough words to describe you Summers. You’re to bloody perfect."

Buffy rolled her eyes mockingly at him and smiled. "There you go again with your fancy talk." She then let out a stifle of laughter, kissing him purely on the mouth. "Another thing I like about you."

Spike only looked her seriously in the eyes as he traced his finger down her cheek. "I love you."

Buffy began to tear up as she heard the honesty in his words. "I love you too." She giggled as they began to go out at again but was rudely interrupted when they heard someone clapping. The pair whipped their heads around and both had shocked looks on their faces when they saw Riley standing with about 5 men behind him, all of them armed with tranquilizer guns and other assorted weapons.

"Now that was better than a Dawson’s Creek re-run. Good show." He told them, sounding amused with himself while the 5 other men just stared at the blonde pair. Riley then turned his head towards Buffy and shook his head, giving her a disappointed look. "Jesus Buff, I thought you were better than this. Oh well, you always had a thing for monsters that’s why we didn’t work out."

Buffy shook her head at her ex-boyfriend and then took Spike’s hand in hers, giving it a tight squeeze. "We didn’t work out because I didn’t love you Riley and I never will." She snapped at him.

"It is always about you isn’t it Buff?" Riley hissed at her, placing his hands in the pockets of his jeans, an annoyed look on his face. "The whole time we went out it was all about you! It was always ‘oh poor me’ or ‘I can’t believe this is happening to me!’ ME! ME! ME!" Riley yelled at the top of his lungs, which caused everyone, even Riley’s own men, to jump startled. "It isn’t always about you Buffy! COME BACK TO REALITY!" Riley shut his eyes slightly as he felt the anger in his body began to balance out. "You know…I always knew that you liked him." Riley told the petite blond as he pointed towards Spike who was still situated behind Buffy. "I saw the way you looked at him and everything. You probably didn’t know you liked him yet but I did. I didn’t think you would actually accept him and now that you have, God you should feel disgusted with yourself!"

No one said anything as Riley turned on heels and stood behind his men and nodded his head towards the pair. "Alright Gentlemen, you know your orders."

Suddenly, out of nowhere one of the men bolted towards Buffy but she easily swatted him away, sending him flying into the SUV, knocking him out cold.

"One down, five more to go." Buffy breathed as she turned to look at Spike. She then turned back to the remaining soldiers and grinned. "Come on boys, you wanna play, let’s play." She said as she moved backwards and stood behind Spike and went into her fighting stance.

Spike looked over at the former Slayer who stood in her ready position and reluctantly went into his own. Now that he was human it seemed kind of weird to be doing this. He was even more weirded out when all of the Commandos charged towards Buffy and knocked him out of the way. He stood stunned for a few seconds as he watched Buffy kick their weapons out of their hands and began to fight hand on hand combat with them.

"Never thought I would ever see you again Spike." Riley hissed at the former Vampire as he walked towards Spike and began to circle around him. "I thought Buffy would’ve killed you after I left the last time. You know with the way things happened."

Spike watched the Commando circle him and as he did this, Spike could feel the butterflies in his stomach begin to move around frantically, filled with fear and worry. He knew Riley wanted to have a face off with him. It was so obvious. Spike wondered if he still had the skills for fighting still in him.

Riley furrowed his eyebrows at the blonde man, "not talking eh? Maybe this oughta help you out!" Riley snapped as he sauntered over to Spike and punched him hard in the nose, almost breaking it.

Spike staggered backwards as he put his hand towards nose. Pulling it away from his face, Spike could see the crimson blood run down his palm and onto the soft sand, a shocked look on his features. But that shocked look melted away and a pissed off one replaced it as Spike stalked over towards the Commando and kneed him hard in the gut and then immediately punched him hard in the face, sending Riley jolting backwards.

"You still got it Spike ol’ boy." Riley chuckled with mirth and shook his head. "You still can pack a punch, I’ll tell you that." The raven-haired man smiled as he began throwing punches at the former Vampire who blocked majority of them. Spike was very amazed with himself on how well he had been able to fend off Riley for this long.

It was then that Spike spoke to soon though because before Spike knew it he was sent to the ground harshly. Spike looked up in horror as Riley stood on top of him, looking down on him with disgust. "You’re good but not good enough." Riley spat as he took out a syringe from inside his coat pocket and stabbed Spike in the arm with it.

Spike let out a painful cry as Riley violently stabbed the needle into one of his biceps. "BUFFY!" He cried as he could feel his whole body become numb. "BUFFY!"

~*~

Buffy snapped her head up from her fight as she heard Spike call out to her. "SPIKE!" She yelled back and threw the rest of the Commandos off of her and began to run towards Spike who was lying on the ground shaking but was stopped by Riley blocking her path.

"Sorry Buff, you lost." He smirked as he took out his tabor gun and shocked her with, sending powerful electrical currents through her body which caused the petite blonde to collapse to the ground in pain, becoming unconscious in a second.

Riley then turned to his men, who had now picked themselves, and nodded towards an unconscious Spike. "Throw him in the back of the van! We need to get out of here before she wakes up and that won’t be long. HURRY!" He barked as the men quickly picked Spike up off the ground and carried him towards their white van and threw him in.

"See ya later Buff." Riley nodded his head to the inanimate woman. "It was great." And with that Riley turned on his heels and ran towards the van as they sped off down the highway.

To be Continued…

(Sorry if the fight scene was kind of weird; I really don’t know how to write them.)

Summary ~ Buffy wakes up and sees that Spike is gone, so what does she do?

A/N ~ Thanks to everyone for the reviews! They mean so much to me! I think that I have a good idea for my next story after this but I will have to think about it. Anyways…enough about that and just thanks so very much! I hope you guys enjoy the new chapter!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The blonde woman’s muscles throbbed as she began to slip out of unconsciousness. God, what the hell happened? She cursed in her mind as she tried to pull her self up but had no such luck. She felt weak and tired like she had the shit knocked out of her.

Placing her palm against her forehead, Buffy’s eyes fluttered open. "Ugh…" She groaned, her legs now working and able to stand. Looking around at the scenery Buffy felt like something was wrong. She could smell blood and fear in the air thanks to her Slayer senses. Slightly shutting her eyes Buffy tried to remember what had happened.

Suddenly, flashes of the Morning After came to her. First there were flashes of her and Spike together, holding and kissing each other. Then she suddenly saw Riley and his group of Commandos. Buffy could now here his voice as he called Spike a monster, causing Buffy to flinch slightly.

Then she saw the Commandos charging towards her as they pushed Spike away. The former Slayer could now hear Spike calling out to her for help. Buffy now remembered running over to her lover and seeing him lying motionless on the ground but just as she was about to make contact with him Riley stopped in front of her, then suddenly everything went black.

"Spike!" She called out in worried voice, scanning the coastline, hoping that she would see him hiding away somewhere but saw nothing. Buffy looked over towards the small puddle of blood beside her where Spike had been before she was knocked out.

"Oh God." The petite blonde gasped as her legs gave up and she dropped to her knees with a painful and shocked look embedded into her hazel eyes. "No. No. No!"

How could I let this happen! She screamed in her head, she felt as if she had been ripped in two. She had let the man she loved get taken away by the enemy. It was all her fault. I failed, she mused sadly, cradling her face into her hands and began to softly sob. I let him die!

Buffy was pulled out of her depressing thoughts though as she heard someone moan in pain. "Spike." She gasped with relief as she followed the noise, which was coming from behind the SUV. Thank God he is safe, she beamed with relief as she moved towards the SUV and was surprised to see instead of Spike one of the Commandos lying on his back unconscious.

"Well, what have we got here?" She grinned slyly as stalked towards the back of the SUV and pulled out several articles of clothing, then returned to the solider who still remained inanimate. "You’re going to help me find Spike." She told the man firmly as she tore the clothes and began to bind him. "Whether you like it or not!" She huffed, picking up the soldier and threw him in the back. When she had put the soldier in the back of the SUV, Buffy just stood there staring at the makeshift bed Spike had made them last night where they had…

A tear flowed down her cheek as she remembered how soft and tender it had been with him. His eyes were gentle, his touch was light but his kisses they were passionate. Buffy now could feel more tears flowing down her cheeks. She then looked down and realized that she was still wearing his clothes, which caused the tears to disappear and a look of determination to melt onto her young face. "Don’t worry Spike, I’ll get you back." She spoke firmly as she slammed the trunk closed and stalked over towards the driver’s side of the car and sped off down the highway back towards Sunnydale.

Erin began to giggle as she watched Jacob do some sort of dance. All of the gang was hanging out in Anya and Xander’s room, watching Jacob try to teach Erin the Snoopy Dance but he wasn’t very good at it.

"What kind of bance is that?" Erin continued to laugh as continued to dance but stopped when he heard her question. The four grown ups couldn’t help but laugh as they watched Xander’s boy try to do the dance. It was just too funny.

"It’s called the Snoopy Dance." Jacob said with confidence, as a proud smile appeared on his face that he could make her laugh. She had a pretty laugh. He loved to make her smile. "My dad taught it to me!"

"You did it wrong." Erin told him bluntly but still had that amused smile on her face. "I’ve seen Charwie Brown and Snoopy doesn’t dance like dat."

Dawn shook her head at the pair, she is just like Spike, the brunette mused in her head as Erin and Jacob continued to fight, always has to be right. Oh and they’re fighting like Buffy and Spike, so cute.

"Well, then how does he dance?" Jacob retorted, perking up one of his eyebrows at her.

"Like dis." She grinned as she began to do the Snoopy Dance and did it perfectly. Xander clapped with enthusiasm as he watched the little girl. The three other women just stared at him.

"What? Can’t I be excited for the kid?" He said shyly as his cheeks began to blush, darting his eyes away from the children towards the peeling wallpaper on the thin paper walls of the motel room. The three women just shook their heads and went back to watching the children.

All of them jumped startled though when a loud banging sound began erupt through out the room. Dawn gasped as she took both of the children and headed into the bathroom and locked the door. It wasn’t the best place to hide but it was the only place to hide.

As soon as the bathroom door had shut Willow headed over towards the door and placed her eye against the peephole and was surprised to see her best friend standing at the door.

"Buffy?" She breathed with shock and immediately began to unbolt the door to let the former Slayer inside.

"Buffy?" Xander stood as he looked over at the blonde woman who stood alone. "What are you doing here? Where’s Spike?"

Buffy let out a sad sigh, as she looked the man in the eyes, "Spike is…"

"Where’s my Daddy?" Erin sniffled as she, Jacob and Dawn exited the bathroom. Buffy’s heart broke as she saw those sad blue eyes look directly into hers. Silence melted through out the room as Erin stared into her new mother’s eyes then after a while Erin knew what had happened and began to cry. "The bad man took my daddy!" She cried as she sunk to her knees, Jacob quickly moved over towards her and began to hold her tightly.

"They what?" Willow looked Buffy with shock and worry. The rest of the gang moved their focus to the Slayer who began to squirm under their gazes.

"Riley took him." Buffy whispered quietly as she moved towards the bed and collapsed on to it, feeling comfort for the first time in hours. She glanced up at the gang as she began to tell them about what had happened earlier that morning, even all the fluffy stuff that had happened between she and Spike before Riley showed up. When she did tell them this, Buffy stopped her story and looked around at her friends and was surprised when they all looked at her with acceptance rather than disgust, which made Buffy feel somewhat better.

"What do we do now?" Dawn asked quietly as she went over to the whimpering girl on the ground and began cradle Erin in her arms. The small girl let out a huge yawn as sleep got the best of her and easily fell into a deep slumber in Dawn’s warm embrace.

Buffy sighed as she got up off of the bed and made her way outside towards her car. A few seconds later the petite blonde reappeared with a struggling Commando in her tight grasp. The man looked around at the group with wide eyes as he realized that this was the group of people Riley had been looking for the last couple of days.

His eyes then fell on the sleeping child in brunette woman’s arms. It’s the monster’s child, the man growled inside his head as he tried to lunge towards the girl by elbowing the blonde woman in the stomach. He didn’t get very far because the next thing he knew Buffy’s fist connected with his jaw, sending him to the ground.

The former Slayer’s face contorted in pain as she could feel her side rip in two. "Dammit." She cursed under her breath as she fell back onto the bed, gripping on to the bed sheets for dear life. But the pain began to die away when she felt Willow’s hands running down her hair so as to comfort her.

As soon as Buffy had calm down Willow lifted up her friend’s shirt and cringed when she saw a big mass of red, purple and black against Buffy’s cream colored skin. "He messed you up pretty bad didn’t he?"

"Electrocuted me with a stupid tabor gun." She hissed as Willow placed some cold ice against her skin. "We gotta tie him up to a chair or something because he’ll be awake in a minute." Buffy told the gang, nodding her head towards the unconscious Commando on the floor.

"What are we going to do with him when he wakes up?" Xander asked as he and Anya lifted the man up and carried him to a near by chair, tying his bonds onto the armrests.

"What else," Buffy said firmly as she shakily stood up from the bed, looking at the Commando with fire, "get information from him so we can get Spike back. I’m not letting the man I love die. Riley will pay."

~*~

He couldn’t guess how long he had been laying there because majority of the time he had been slipping in and out of consciousness. Spike had tried to move his body but when he did an immense pain ripped through his flesh, must’ve been something in those drugs, he thought.

Finally being able to stay conscious, Spike began to scan his surroundings. This wasn’t the Initiative he had grown accustomed to when he had been there before this was a place totally different. The cage he was held in wasn’t just a small white cell like it had been before; this one was just a small glass case that was only wide enough for him to only stretch his legs out. He would probably become claustrophobic from staying in there too long.

As he began to scan around the room, Spike realized that this was the only thing that was in the room. The room surrounding the glass case though was probably the only thing that seemed familiar to him from the Initiative. It was a piercing bright white with padded walls with a mirror placed across the room.

"Probably a two way." He mumbled under his breath as he tried to move once again but didn’t succeed in doing so. "Figures." He hissed as he relaxed his body and slightly closed his eyes but flew open when he heard a large slamming of the door from behind him.

"Looks like our little patient is awake." Riley grinned as he walked around the glass case to face Spike. "Sleep well?"

"Where’s Buffy?" Spike growled as he felt like lunging out of his case and ripping the boy apart. He hadn’t felt like harming another human in such a long time that it felt unusual to Spike.

"Don’t worry Spikey, she’s fine." Riley sighed as he shoved his hands in his pockets and began to pave back and forth in front of Spike. "Well, I assume so…I dunno really because the last time I saw her was when…well I shocked her with this." Riley smirked as he pulled the tabor gun out of his coat pocket and twirled around with his fingers. "It’s pretty strong you know, probably could kill a horse I imagine." He chuckled to himself before placing back inside his coat.

"If you’ve hurt her, I am going…"

"To do what Spike?" Riley challenged, raising his eyebrow up at the man mockingly. "I mean you really can’t do anything, you know the glass case and all."

"I’m going to kill you when this is all over." Spike growled menacingly at the raven man just chuckled as he took a small remote control from his pocket.

"I seriously doubt that." Riley smirked as he pushed the small red button.

"ARGH!!!!" Spike cried out at the top of his lungs as his skull felt like it was being ripped in two. Immediately, Spike grabbed the sides of his head. The blonde growled in pain as the pain grew more and more. He had never felt pain like this before; it felt as if his brain was being ripped from his skull slowly so as to cause much pain as possible. Suddenly, though the pain stopped and Spike could do nothing but curl up into a fetal position and sob his heart out. It had hurt so much.

"You like that?" Riley taunted as he approached the glass so that he was looking directly into the tremulous eyes of Spike and couldn’t help but smile brightly at the fear he saw in those blue orbs of his. "Well there is more where that came from! It was time to pay for what you have done Spike!" Riley shouted angrily and then turned on his heels, stalking out of the white room.

Spike gently wrapped his arms around his legs and looked up towards the sky, "someone please help me."

Chapter 22:

Title ~ Physical Torture

Author ~ SunnyD

Rating ~ PG~13

Summary ~ Well, um…basically this takes up off where the last chapter did.

A/N ~ I have gotten a couple of emails which asked me ‘why is Riley so angry with Spike?’ Well, I am going to go my best to answer that question in this chapter and definitely in the next one for sure. Sorry if it isn’t that well…good enough or believable. My bad, just in advance. Anyways…just thanks to everyone who has read and reviewed my fic. I am glad that you all are enjoying it! Cause I have enjoyed writing it. Anyways…on with the chapter, that’s enough of my rambling.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Anya wrinkled her eyebrows as placed the ice on top of Buffy’s wound. "Jesus, I’m surprised that this didn’t kill you." She commented, removing the ice from Buffy’s skin. The intense bruise had seemed to calm down after awhile but it still was pretty bad.

"Yeah me too." Buffy sighed, soundly as if she wasn’t even listening to the woman beside her.

Anya looked over at the woman next to her. The Vengeance demon could hear the distance in her voice. Anya then looked at her eyes; they seemed to have a lonely yet determined look in them. Anya sighed as she pulled her gaze away from Buffy and towards the first aid kit that lied next to her on the bed.

"He wouldn’t want you to worry about him so much, you know." Anya told the blonde woman softly as she began to wrap her stomach in gauze, flinching when Buffy let out a painful hiss.

"I know." Buffy whispered back to the female demon that had finished wrapping her stomach, and pulled Spike’s shirt back over the wound. "He would be just as worried about me if he was in my place."

"That’s true." Anya smirked, taking the first aid kit in her hands and placed inside it inside the bedside table drawer then turned back to the former Slayer. "But he knows how to protect himself though." She said reassuringly, turning back to the former Slayer who couldn’t meet Anya’s eyes.

"Yeah, I know," Buffy soughed, still looking away from Anya. "I’ve just been thinking about this morning and last night and how you know…how I should’ve told him earlier about how I felt about him." She confessed to her friend, in the earlier days, Buffy probably would’ve never talked to Anya this serious before but over the last seven years she and the demoness have grown close in a certain way. "Maybe then you know…we could’ve had more time together."

Anya only shook her head as she placed a delicate hand on Buffy’s shoulder. "Wasn’t last night worth it though?" Anya asked the former Slayer who flashed her friend a smile and nodded her head. "Then really that’s what matters. Am I right? Didn’t all that passion last night make up for all the waiting?"

"Yeah." Buffy smirked slightly and almost giggled but stopped when she felt a sharp pain jolt through her side.

"Then, like I said, that’s all that matters." Anya chirped as she patted Buffy on the back before removing herself from the bed and went into the other room where the others were waiting with the tied up Commando.

Buffy let out a long breath as she could feel her side began to throb. Her pain probably couldn’t compare to the hell dimension Spike was experiencing with Riley and the Initiative. As Buffy sat there she began to wonder, what made Riley so angry and well…dark? The Riley she had known and cared for was the total opposite of the one that she had the misfortunate of getting to know now. Though she shouldn’t really be caring about stuff like that, right? Or should she? There were just so many questions in Buffy’s head that she didn’t know if she had enough sanity to answer them.

Anya was right about one thing though; Spike wouldn’t want her to worry about him so much. It got her distracted and unfocused. She really needed to focus on the task at hand. Find out where the Initiative was hiding and barge in there to go save Spike.

Buffy was pulled out of her thoughts though Dawn poked her head in the room; "Buffy the soldier is awake."

"Alright. Let’s get this show on the road."

~*~

Spike couldn’t really remember what had happened to him after Riley had left. All that he could recollect though was that as soon as Riley had left the lights in his room shut off and Spike was left in the dark. Then suddenly he had become tired and fell asleep.

When the former vampire had woken up he was still in the same room; well it seemed like it but was surprised to find himself out of the glass case. The only catch was that his hands had somehow been bound to the wall by ropes.

"Can’t they just keep me in one place?" Spike muttered groggily under his breath. He looked like he had been drugged severely and he probably had considering where he was.

He felt comforted though that the lights in the room where still off instead of on. Even after becoming human, Spike still had a fascination with the night. He enjoyed the day for it’s certain elements but the night that was his home.

As he lay there, bound against the wall Spike began to notice other aspects of the room. He had noticed that it was colder than before, which caused very large goose bumps to appear on his arms, and his hair to stand up. Another thing he had picked up on it was how quiet it really was. He thought that he would be able to hear what was going on outside of the door but came to find out that all he could hear was the rhythmic sounds of his breathing.

Spike then looked over at the mirror that was situated across from him. His eyebrows furrowed as he continued to stare at it. He knew that they were watching him. It was so obvious that they were. Who would put a mirror in an empty room? He thought, continuing to stare at it, no purpose for it really.

Spike could know feel his wrists becoming raw from the rough texture of the ropes that held him to the wall. He had some feeling that they must of put him over there for some type of torture that would leave him bruised and battered both physically and mentally. In a sickening way he anxiously wanted it to happen because the quicker it happened, the quicker it was over with and that’s he cared about at this point.

Spike snapped his head up though when the lights to his room flickered on. He wasn’t surprised to see Riley Finn enter the room with a smug look on his face that Spike just wanted to smack off of his face.

"Don’t look to happy to see me Spike?" Riley smirked, shoving his hands inside his pockets and strolled over towards the blonde man. "I was kind of expecting a more positive reaction to my presence."

"Sorry to disappoint you." Spike muttered under his breath, hanging loosely in his binds which did little to help the pain he was feeling in his wrists.

Riley shook his head as he slowly approached the man and crouched down in front of him, staring him straight in the eye. "So…how is the head?" He asked brightly, tapping Spike on the forehead. "Had to hurt like hell I bet."

Spike only sighed as he tore his gaze away from Riley and towards the floor. Spike wasn’t going to give this man the satisfaction of letting him know that he had hurt him in anyway.

"Not going to speak eh?" Riley shook his head once more, feeling a bit of frustration from the fact that he wasn’t saying anything. "That doesn’t really help you out if you don’t speak to me! It only makes things worse!" Riley hissed tauntingly and tried to stare the blonde man down but it wasn’t working. "Speak dammit!" He growled at Spike, his face hardening with rage. He was so close that Spike could feel Riley’s hot breath blowing against his face. When Spike wouldn’t speak, Riley bolted up in an upright position. "SPEAK!" Riley yelled at the top of his lungs as he backhand Spike roughly across the face causing a blood to trickle down his lips.

Spike began to cough heavily as he spat the blood on the floor. "What happened to you Riley?" He somehow managed to say in between coughs.

"What?" Riley whispered, feeling somewhat odd that he was asking him this question.

"What happened to you?" Spike repeated hoarsely to the man that standing across from him with a dumbfound look on his face. "You weren’t like this before Finn. What happened?" Spike asked once again sounding a tad bit sympathetic towards Riley. Spike knew it really wasn’t the best thing to feel for the man who was probably going to torture him in the worst ways possible but he really wanted to know what had driven this man into darkness.

"You sound like you care." Riley huffed. "You can’t care, can’t feel, can’t love. It’s not in the nature of the demon." He hissed out with great envy and rage.

It sort of taken Spike aback, it was as if this wasn’t Riley at all. That this was just another man using Riley’s identity. Riley Finn was a boring young man who had just wanted his girlfriend to love him not…not what he was now, whatever that was. Spike didn’t know what to call him now.

"Don’t care for you Finn. Never did and never will. Although you are wrong, I do care, love and feel even when I was a demon, it was just pricks like the Initiative that told you otherwise." Spike said sternly, finally looking into the Commandos eyes for the first time since he had walked into the room.

Riley growled with anger as he kicked Spike hard in the stomach causing a large amount of air leave Spike’s lungs. I have to learn how to keep my mouth shut, Spike thought in his head as he tried to regain his breath. Even when I’m human I still have a problem with it.

"Shut up monster!" Riley huffed as he glared down at the former vampire. "You don’t deserve the life you have! You don’t deserve the daughter! I’m surprised she isn’t sickened by the sight of you, knowing your past." Riley almost laughed out loud as Spike immediately looked away at the mention of his horrific past. "Oh she doesn’t know. Well, I’m not surprised. Bet she won’t be able to stand the sight of Daddy when she finds out that he use to kill innocent human beings."

It was then that Riley crouched down beside Spike once again and looked him in the eye. "You know what else you don’t deserve Spike, Buffy." Riley taunted still looking into his eyes with an amused expression on his face. "She’s too pure and beautiful for you. I tried to tell her that last time I was in good ol’ Sunnydale. She never loved you, you know, I don’t even think she does now. I bet you that she just likes what you do to her, making her scream when she is about to…"

Riley was stopped short when Spike kicked him roughly halfway across the room. Spike wanted to be free from these ropes so he could beat that man into oblivion. Spike deserved to be insulted and ridiculed but not Buffy. Not his Buffy.

"Don’t ever speak about her like that…ever!" Spike barked at Riley as he began to try to loosen his ropes but he failed to succeed and hung in them loosely once again.

Riley smirked as he stood up from his place on the floor, dusting himself off as he walked back towards Spike, about to say something but was cut off when he began to listen to some one talk in his earphone. "He is? Okay…I’ll be right there. Thank you."

Shaking his head, Riley turned back to the limp man that was bound to the wall. "Unfortunately I must be going, so long Spike." Riley smirked once again as he took that small remote control out from his jacket and pressed the button, sending waves of pain throughout Spike’s skull.s

~*~

Buffy hardened her gaze as she stared down the quiet Commando who only looked at her with the same coldness. "He hasn’t been talking I suppose?" Buffy asked the gang as she crouched down beside the man, so they could be at the same eye level.

"Yeah, that’s right." Xander said, crossing his arms over his chest while his little boy clung onto his leg tightly, Erin hanging on to the other one.

"Well, we’re going to make him talk." Buffy said calmly, still looking the man in the eye.

"Bite me!" The Commando finally hissed at the girl, his face hardening.

"He speaks." Buffy commented but then turned to Anya, "can you take the kids into the other room?"

Anya nodded her head as she grabbed Erin and Jacob’s hands and led them into the other room, shutting the door behind them.

"Now, what’s your name?" Buffy asked the Commando who still had that cold look on his face. When he didn’t speak, the blonde woman only shook her head and tried her best not to get furious with him. She wanted to get Spike back and fast. She wanted to tell him how much she loved him. She didn’t want Erin to be sad anymore. She didn’t want to have her friends hiding forever. She wanted things get back to normal. "You know…I’m trying my best to be nice, so I won’t have to get physical with you but if you refuse to answer my questions I will be forced to."

Buffy stood back as she began to crack her knuckles and other bones in her body. The Commando watched with wide eyes as she did this. When he got a first look at her, he didn’t think that she would be able to hurt him at all. I mean she was just a girl. Riley had told him that she was what they called a Slayer and she had the strength of ten men. He didn’t believe all that whoopla when the Commando first laid eyes on her. But as he looked into her eyes, all his doubts about this girl’s strength washed away. Her eyes looked strong and powerful as if she wasn’t afraid of anything.

His widened more though when he saw the man on the opposite side of the room, hand her a pair of brass knuckles. "Daniel." The Commando somehow managed to choke out. Buffy’s head snapped towards the man and smiled inwardly that she had at least accomplished something. "Daniel Stone."

"Well, now we’re getting somewhere." Buffy smirked as she gave the brass knuckles back to Xander and then moved back over to Daniel, crouching down beside him once again. "Now, Daniel, I want to know something…" She whispered in a soft voice. "Where are the Commandos hiding Spike?"

"I’m not telling you, woman!" Daniel barked as he began to jerk in his binds but stopped when Buffy punched him in the face with her fist. She didn’t want to hurt him too much but just enough to get information out of him, which probably wouldn’t take to long.

"I was hoping otherwise!" Buffy growled him as she stood up, toppling over him. "Now, tell me. Where are they hiding Spike?" She asked once again but her tone wasn’t soft like it was before, this time it was hard and more demanding.

"No!"

Buffy huffed as she hit Daniel across the face once again. Daniel whimpered in pain as the spot where Buffy had hit him began to throb erratically. Oh God, it hurts like hell. He moaned inside his head as deep bruise formed on his face.

"You better answer my question now Danny boy or there will be more than one bruise on that pretty face of yours." She taunted firmly. She hated causing humans harm, I mean it wasn’t in her job description or part of her morals but her man was in trouble and if she had to bend the rules a bit, then so be it.

"Don’t count on it." He replied quickly before Buffy hit him once again.

After a couple of minutes later, Daniel still refused to answer the former Slayer’s questions which allowed him to get a few more mediocre punches across the face. Daniel didn’t know how he hadn’t been able to give in. He really hated being in pain and right now he felt like his head might explode if she hit him one more time. He couldn’t give in.

Buffy could’ve cried out with frustration. Why couldn’t he just tell her? Why? It was then that tears began to fall down Buffy’s cheeks in small droplets but then felt comfort when Dawn wrapped her arms around her sister’s shoulders, hugging her tightly. The whole process of interrogating Daniel had worn her out mentally and physically. After a few minutes though Buffy was able to compose herself and turn to look at the beaten up Commando directly in the eye.

"Please Daniel," Buffy begged in a pleading voice. She didn’t want to beat on the man anymore, "Riley has the man I love and the father of that little girl in there." Buffy continued to beg as she pointed to the closed door that led to the other room. "She needs him. She won’t be able to survive without him. I won’t be able to survive without him."

Daniel’s eyes widened as he looked up at the woman who had bruised his face. He had suddenly become taken a back when he saw the look in her eyes. It was totally different from the powerful, hard look she had on before when he had first woken up. Now he saw longing and complete sadness in her eyes. Daniel now felt compassion for her and the child and even the monster that claimed to be a man.

Daniel bowed his head for a minute and then looked back up at Buffy and sighed, "Alright…I’ll tell you." A huge smile broke out on Buffy’s face when she heard the news. "We were given orders by Commader Steel to take to him an underground lair in San Francisco. If you gave me a map I could show you."

"Thank you." Buffy whispered sincerely, "sorry about your face." Buffy then went into the other room and retrieved the first aid kit and handed it to Dawn before turning back to Daniel. "She’ll clean your face up."

Daniel furrowed his eyebrows at the former Slayer who began to make her way back into the other room. "Hey!" Daniel called out to Buffy, which caused her to stop in her tracks and turn towards the Commando. "Aren’t you going to untie me and let me go?"

Buffy only laughed at the man’s question. "You think I would believe you that easily? You’ve got to be kidding me!"

"But I am telling the truth!"

"You might be but I want to see for myself. You’re going to take us to the hide out and you’re going to help us get into the Initiative’s base." She told him firmly before turning on her heels and stalked out the door, Xander and Willow following behind her.
