He groaned as he settled himself back on his stomach as he frustratingly tossed in turned in bed. The musk of the hotel room finally getting to him as his dark brown eyes flew open. Something didn’t feel right…it was something he had felt before but it had been so long he couldn’t recognized it.

Hearing a soft mewl he turned towards where his childe slept silently on the other side of the bed, the bed sheets hugging tightly to her pale form while her raven-hair flowed over her shoulders. She almost looked like she did 65 years ago, that pure innocence that engulfed her as a human. He grinned deviously as he remembered what he had done to her so long ago. How he broke her sanity and made her what she is now, a beautiful creature that could see things that others couldn’t.

He chuckled deeply as he reached his hand out and ran it down her pallid and clammy face. At the slightest bit of contact of his hand, the vampiress flinched slightly away. Her eyelids twitching as his rough digits grazed her forehead. The elder vampire then immediately pulled his hand away from her as she took in a sharp breath, clawing slightly at the sheet that was wrapped around her chest.

Angelus furrowed his eyebrows as he leaned towards her face, watching her intensely. "What’s wrong lover?" He purred curiously, his deep Irish accent completely gone from his speech and replaced with an American one.

A juvenile whimper escaped from her lips as they began to tremble furiously, her frightened hands clutching the bed sheet while her nails clawed at her chest. Small trickles of crimson blood began to flow gently down her chest as she started to mumble incoherently.

Angelus’s eyebrows furrowed together even more as he moved even closer to her. "Do you wanna tell Daddy about it Dru?" He asked her gently, running his knuckled down the fretting vampiress’s face.

The dark vampiress let out another shop gasp as she continued to paw at her bosom, "bad…bad…bad…" She growled possessively in her sleep, squeezing her eyelids tight while she ceased the clawing of her chest.

"What’s bad Dru?" He asked in a sweet tone, continuing to run his knuckles down her cheek. He cocked his head to the side as he examined her face, which was scrunched up in pure tension.

"Wants to keep him…keep my boy…taking him into her twilight…" She whimpered helplessly and raised her hands towards the sky as if she was reaching for something, "no more light…no more swimming in blue waters…bad…bad…bad…no more home…no more family…"

It was then that her eyes flew open…dark eyes that were wide with worry and pure disturbance. She immediately sat up in bed and looked at her surroundings before looking over at Angelus.

"What did you see?" He asked her gently but you could hear the urgency in his voice for the information. "Tell me."

Dru turned her dark eyes away from her sire and looked down at her blood soaked chest, her head swimming with many incoherent thoughts. Softly, she shook her head. "I-I…I-I…I-"

Angelus growled with impatience as he seized her by the shoulders and shook her violently. "Tell me! What did you see?"

Dru let out a piercing whine as Angelus gripped her shoulders tightly. When he saw the pain he caused her, Angelus loosened his grip but did keep a sort of secure hold on her. "Couldn’t see anything Daddy. Couldn’t see…all I could do was hear. Hear all the voices." She whispered lowly, running her blood soaked hands through her jet-black hair. "They told me…all bad things…that have happened and that are too come. They said that he was no longer mine…he was taken away from me long ago…" She whimpered like a small child before breaking out into hysterical laughter. "They told me you wouldn’t like the news. No more cookies and milk for Daddy because he has been bad. No more home and no more family." She giggled but then completely stopped altogether as a look of pure sorrow passed over her features. "The voices…they were mean."

A gnawing feeling tore at Angelus’s gut as he sat there. "We have to leave." He told her firmly as he flung himself away from the dirty hotel bed and towards the pile of clothes on the opposite side of the room. "We have to go back to the house." He said, pulling on his shirt and pants before tossing her dress at her.

"Daddy’s got a nasty feeling in ‘im." She chuckled, placing the dress over her head as she slipped it on. "He doesn’t want to loose his cookies and milk." She laughed hysterically, sauntering over towards him with grace.

"Come on, we’re leaving!" He growled, taking his hand in hers as he pulled her out of the hotel room.

~*~

She felt extremely heavy at the moment, like her body was being glued to this exact spot. Her room smelled of ambrosial blood and stolen liquor. It was intoxicating to her vampiric senses as she took in a deep breath through her nose.

"Smells good…" she mumbled incoherently against the pale skin of her mate’s collarbone. "I like it here."

"Me too." He grinned with satisfaction, tightening his gentle hold around her waist before planting a soft kiss on the top of her head. "I’m glad that we actually made it home after our little charade in that cemetery. You know…before the sun turned us into ashes."

The blonde vampiress chuckled with amusement as she turned over on her stomach so that she could look up at him. "Well…if we didn’t…it would’ve been your fault…"

"Excuse me?!" Spike gasped with bafflement, his eyes wide with disbelief. "I don’t think so!"

"You are the one who wanted to steal the bottle of liquor from the club!" She accused, poking him hard in the chest, which he slightly flinched from. "Thought it would be a ‘turn on’."

Her vampire lover shot her a sharp glare; "I did not say that! You did!" He barked at her before sitting up in bed and looked down at the beauty that lay spread out on the pure silk bed sheets. "You and your erotic swaying hips," he said, running one of his hands down the side of her form until it rested on her hips. "And your long golden…" he whispered delicately as he observed that long curly tresses that were spread along the sheets. How the candles, he himself had placed around the room, played on her curls…making them sparkle with radiance, "hair..." He trailed off, his anger with her completely disappearing as he placed a tender kiss on her mouth. When he pulled away from her mouth all he could do was stare mindlessly at her.

Buffy giggled with amusement when she saw the blank expression on his face as he looked down at her bare form. "Oh! Look! He’s actually stopped talking!" She chirped in a jesting form, poking him once again on the chest.

"You are not funny." He muttered with slight annoyance, lying back down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. His eyes were clearing avoiding her and that cold like gesture brought a frown to the blonde vampiress’s lips.

"You know I am only joking." She told him softly as she gingerly took her hand and ran it through his dark locks.

Spike’s lips broke out into a bright smile as he turned to look at her, "I know…just playing with you pet." He chuckled at her, his hands cupping the nape of her neck as he brought her lips to meet his in a short but gentle kiss.

A broad grin resided on Buffy’s lips as she laid her head back down in the crook of her lover’s neck and easily took in his scent. "I love this…just you and me…" She mumbled lazily against the scar on his neck that she made so many years ago. With a child’s curiosity, she placed her delicate fingers on the mark and began to trace it slowly.

Spike sighed, as he brought his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. "You know…it could always be like this if we just…"

Buffy moaned as she immediately removed herself from her lover, "Please don’t start this again." She begged him, placing her head in her hands and let out a frustrated groan that was muffled against the skin of her hands. "We talked about this…we can’t just take off."

The dark brunette huffed as he himself sat up in her bed and looked at her accusingly, "No! We have never talked about it…what happens is that I mention it and you try and make me forget…saying that we will ‘talk about it later’." He told her firmly, trying not to raise his voice at her. He hated fighting with her. He hated that look she got on her face when they got mad at one another. "Then you make me feel bad ‘cause I mentioned it."

"Why do we have to worry about it?" She asked him innocently, trying to shy away from the hard look he was giving her.

"Because it is important." He told her, still trying to keep his voice down but he was having a hard time doing so. They had been waiting too long to talk about this. "We can’t go on hiding forever, you know that."

"We’ve done a pretty good job so far." She notified him, taking her bed sheet and wrapped it around her chest. She instinctively hugged herself tightly around the knees, as she looked him in the eyes. Dreading the gaze he was giving her.

"We have just been lucky. It has just been pure luck. He hasn’t noticed yet because he is too preoccupied with Dru…"

"Yeah and it looks like to me that he is going to stay that way."

"How do you know that?" He asked her sincerely, tilting his head to the side as he observed the way she sat there…the way she squirmed under his scrutinizing stare. "What if one day he decides he wants a little piece of Buffy?" He then nodded towards the mark on her throat. "He will see my mark…he will smell my scent on you immediately. What will you do then? Will you tell him about us?"

"I don’t know…" She whispered ducking her head, which allowed several strands of her hair to fall in front of ageless face.

"You don’t know. How could you--?"

"You don’t understand!" She shouted as her head snapped up at him, her dark emerald eyes boring into his blue ones. Internally she flinched at the tone and loudness of her voice. "You don’t understand…he’s my sire…there’s the bond between us…it will be…"

"What BOND?" He snapped at her with the same tone of voice that matched her own when she shouted at him. "You two haven’t even communicated at least civilly in years! So don’t talk nonsense of you two havin’ a sodden bond!"

Buffy slightly inched away from her lover as she suddenly became very interested in her feet that was covered with her bed sheets. "I have told you before…we don’t have to talk to have a bond…he’s my sire and I am his childe…he -’’

"Sod the childe and sire bond shit!" He growled angrily as he removed himself from her bed and quickly made his way towards a separate corner in the room where his clothes laid in rumpled pile. "The whole theory is a bloody lie! Dru and I don’t have that! And we never will! So don’t tell me lies Buffy!" He huffed as he snatched his shirt up off the floor and threw it rudely over his shoulders.

Buffy’s eyes widened as she saw him make his way towards the door, "where are you going?!" She called out after him, wrapping the sheet tighter around her chest as she made her way towards him.

"To my room…I am angry and truthfully you are not my favorite person right now." He told her as began to make his way towards the door once again but was stopped when her hand snatched onto his wrist.

"Please…stay…" she whispered desperately, pulling him back into her room and to face her directly. "I am sorry." She told him sincerely before wrapping her arms around his neck tightly.

Spike sighed as he buried his face into the crook of her neck and placed a gentle kiss on where her pulse would be before looking into her eyes once again. "Me too…for the yelling…it’s just…I-’’

Even before he could utter another word, the blonde vampiress planted a burning kiss on his lips, one in which Spike returned with fever…

"Home sweet home…" Dru giggled with enthusiasm as she pranced into the large room that was the den, where a raging fire was blazing in the fireplace. "Looks like someone wanted to get all warm…" She noted, looking over her shoulder at her sire who was stalking towards her. "Daddy senses something bad…what do you feel?" She asked him smoothly, walking up beside him as he stood in the doorway that led to all the bedrooms.

"Nothing good…" He growled to himself, a nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach. Eagerly he turned to Dru, "Stay here…" He barked at her as he turned back around and made his way down the hallway. Angelus immediately stopped in his tracks when he smelled something…something erotic.

Following the scent, Angelus continued making his way down the dark hall where the smell got stronger as he went along and suddenly that’s when he heard the noises…the moans…the grunts…the gasps…that’s when he came to the open doorway that led to his blonde childe’s room. And nothing could prepare him for what he saw.

Angelus stood there agape as he watched his childe being ravished by Spike. He watched as his sheet clad Buffy jumped up into the other vampire's arms and wrapped her legs around his waist while devouring his mouth with wet kisses.

A deep and silent growl escaped the elder vampire’s throat as he continued to painfully watch the two’s dance…

Angelus stood there with an agape look on his face as he watched the two continue their little dance. A possessive growl took over the dark vampire’s throat as he watched his grandchilde plant slow kisses along one side of her neck and quickly moved to the other side. And that’s when he saw it…the prominent mark that grazed Buffy’s snow-white skin. HE had marked HER! Angelus raged in his head as he stood firmly in his place, all his attention focused on the scar that danced on Buffy’s throat. That son of a bitch would pay…

Without a second thought, Angelus sprung forward towards the couple and easily threw Buffy aside before gripping on to Spike’s throat.

~*~

Spike let out a throbbing grunt as he was thrown from his lover’s arms and into a nearby wall, a tight and firm hand gripping on to his throat.

"You piece of shit!" Angelus growled as he clutched tighter onto Spike’s throat, his sharp nails digging into his neck and into the mark that Buffy had made 25 years before. "Taking my woman from me!"

"She was never yours to keep!" The vampire grumbled as he roughly shoved Angelus to the floor. "So back off you Poofter!"

Angelus let out a primal howl as he threw himself at the younger vampire, sending a fury of deadly jabs and kicks his way but Spike blocked them with ease and quickly threw his own, hitting Angelus in all the right places.

A sweet chuckle escaped the dark brunette’s mouth as he watched his grandsire squirm on the floor, clutching his stomach with desperation.

"Well isn’t this a pretty picture?" Spike taunted as he kicked Angelus’s gut, which caused the older vampire to jolt in pain. "You on the floor…beneath me…got to tell ya…kind of like it." He smirked, bending down and roughly grabbed Angelus by the collar, lifting him high in the air. "What about you?"

Angelus hissed with venom as he tried to find the use of his vocal cords but was having a hard time managing to do so, considering the hard grip that was on his neck. "You insignificant retch…I will-"

"You’ll do what?" Spike questioned, tilting his head to the side as he watched Angelus try to struggle out of his grip this then caused Spike to let an extremely amused laugh escape from his throat. "That’s a innocent threat don’t ya think? Now see me on the other hand…I could do something…" Spike smirked once more as he slammed the semi choking vampire against the same wall Spike himself had been thrown against. The blue eyed vampire growled with anticipation as he leaned forward and looked Angelus straight in the eye, "…deadly." Spike whispered harshly into the other vampire’s ear before Angelus surprisingly slammed his leg into Spike’s gut, sending him sprawling onto Buffy’s bed.

"Think so highly of yourself, don’t ya…Spikey?" Angelus growled as bolted from his place against the wall and towards the other vampire but was immediately stopped when Spike snatched Angelus by the collar once again and swung him vigorously onto the bed. Without haste, Spike jumped on top of him and held him in place. His sapphire eyes then flickered over towards the bedposts and grinned like a small child on Christmas day.

Angelus caught his look and chuckled deeply, "you don’t have the balls!" He barked at the younger vampire.

"Want to bet?" Spike hissed as he snapped the bedpost in half, maintaining a vice like hold on the dangerous piece of oak. Grinning with immense pride, Spike held the sharp end of the broken wood over his enemy’s undead heart. "Goodbye Angelus!" He purred roughly before sharply bringing back the stake and quickly drew it…

"NO!" A feminine voice called out in desperation, stopping Spike from driving the stake home. Snapping his head up, the brunette vampire was surprised to see who protested his assault on Angelus. His blue eyes widened with disbelief as Buffy made her way towards the bed, a look of worry on her face. "Don’t Spike… please don’t." She begged, wrapping the bed sheet tighter around her body.

"No Buffy…this is what has to be done." Spike growled as he turned his attention away from his lover and back towards the now radiant and somewhat relieved Angelus. Ignoring the way Angelus was looking at him, Spike took the stake back once again and…

"Put it down William!" She called to him once again but was now by his side with a firm grasp around his wrist. When she saw the stubborn look in his eyes, Buffy tightened her hold around his wrist. "Put it down!"

"Why should I!" He huffed at her, roughly snatching his wrist away from her grasp.

"Just do it William!" She ordered, her dark emerald eyes blazing at him.

Angelus let out an erratic laughter as he propped himself up on his elbows, leering at Spike whose full attention was now back on him. "Looks like the lady wants to protect me!"

"Shut up!" Spike growled as he reached his free fist and decked him hard across the jaw, sending Angelus’s into a deep unconsciousness. "Why did you stop me?" He asked her offended, his dark eyebrows furrowing with confusion as he removed himself from the bed.

"I just couldn’t…" She whispered tentatively to him.

"Yeah but that doesn’t answer my question Buffy! Why did you stop me?" He sneered at her; he could feel the anger and the need for Angelus’s dusting coursing heavily throughout his body.

"Because he is my sire Spike!" She screamed at him, throwing her arms in the air with frustration. "How many times do we have to go through this!"

"How many times do I have to tell you that the sire and childe bond theory is just a piece of shit!" He growled with anger, the bones in his forehead almost shifting into his demon mask while the frustration ran through his body. He then took a deep breath as he tried to gain back his patience. "Killing him is the only way we can be together…it is the only way…"

"No it isn’t…it is not the only way!" She snapped back at him, slightly turning away from so as to avoid the glare he was sending her way.

"Well what else is there Buffy?" He asked her sincerely before his impatience started to get the best of him. "I mean, God forbid you haven’t really agreed with any other my ideas!"

"We can’t just leave William!" She hollered now turning back to finally face him completely, her arms crossed tightly over her chest.

"Why not?"

"Because we can’t!"

"Yes we can!" He retorted, marching over towards her and was directly invading her personal space.

"We can just go back to the way things were…you know." She tried to persuade him, a softening look painted over her face as she reached out to touch his pale chest but he flinched away from her touch. "Just tell him…you know…that we won’t be together anymore…I can convince him that we-"

"I don’t want to hide anymore Buffy! I can’t! I don’t know if I have the strength for it anymore!" He growled tiredly as he turned his back to her and made his way back to Angelus who still lay unconscious on the bed. "When Angelus wakes up he is going to be mighty pissed with me…yes I bested him now but maybe the next time I won’t be as lucky! I don’t want to take any chances. I can’t." He then looked back over at his golden angel and let out a deep sigh. "I must leave…."

"What…you can’t…How?" Buffy stuttered as she watched her lover make his way out of the room and towards his own. "You can’t do this…you can’t leave!"

"I have to or he will bloody kill me." The vampire hissed in between his teeth, walking straight towards his large closet and began to pull out several items of clothes. Letting out a slight huff, he made his way towards his bed and threw the apparel on top of the sheets before retrieving his battered up suitcase.

"You can’t leave…I won’t let you!" She told him, firmly placing her hands on her hips in a defiant manner.

Spike suddenly stopped his packing as he turned to look at her, "then come with me! Think about it Buffy…we wouldn’t be able to hide, we could do whatever we want…live wherever we want. We could even go back to Spain! You remember how happy we were in Spain."

"I can’t…I just can’t…"

Spike growled with frustration as he seized his lover by the shoulders, "tell me why!" When she wouldn’t answer him, Spike began to slightly shake her but not enough to hurt her, "Please tell me why! I mean I LOVE you! I just want to-"

Spike then ceased his talking altogether as he just realized what he had said. In all their 40 years together, they had never said it…never said that he loved each other. In Spike’s mind he always knew that he loved her. He just didn’t know how she felt…

"You what?" Buffy gasped her eyes wide with disbelief as his words ran over and over in her mind.

"I love you…I LOVE YOU!" He said firmly as he released the grip on her shoulders. He then took in a deep unneeded sigh and stared deeply into her eyes; "do you love me?"

Buffy’s eyes widened even more as she felt the weight of his question rest on her shoulders, "I-I-I don’t know."

"How can you not know?"

"I just don’t…"

The male vampire hissed painfully as her answer struck a hard pain in his chest. "We have been together for 40 years! How could you not know! I have known since the first time I met you, but how can you not know!"

"I have told you this before William, when we first met…vampire’s can not love…the whole feeling of love comes with a soul and we don’t-"

"Then what have I been feeling for these past 40 years!" He shouted, as turned sharply away from her and continued to pack his things with fierce tension.

"I don’t know! Lust…!" She grounded in between her teeth.

"LUST!" He snapped at her before shutting his suitcase tight. "What I feel for you is not lust, Buffy." He told her as he picked his suitcase up off the floor and made his way back towards her. "I love you! I LOVE you! Not Drusilla, you!"

Buffy shook her head repeatedly as she again played his words over and over in her head, "No…no…no…No!"

Spike grasped Buffy’s shoulders once again, as he looked her straight in the eye. "Yes, luv, yes! It is real…I love you! This is one thing we can’t hide from or the one thing you can’t talk your way out of. I can’t and I won’t change my mind. Now…if you love me at all, you will leave with me right now or you don’t love me and you stay here. It is up to you now, pet."

Spike looked down at her with pleading eyes as she just looked up at him; a blank look embedded on her face. "I-can’t…leave…with you…" She whispered silently, immediately turning her eyes away from his as soon as the words sprung from her mouth.

The male vampire’s eyes resembled a look of pure hurt as he pulled his hands away from her shoulders as if they were on fire. "Well then…" He welled up slightly, reaching down for his beaten suitcase. He sighed as he looked back up at her, hoping to see something there…but couldn’t…her eyes were just blank and trying to their best to avoid his gaze. "Right…well, have fun with Angelus, luv…" He whispered painfully as brushed past her.

And with that, he was gone…

2002

A sharp gasp escapes my throat as I sit up quickly in my bed. My body is filled with tension and all I want to do is release it. I fling my arms around my flesh and enwrap my small frame with desperation. I am glad that Angelus is not with me tonight or that he has wanted me in the last few days either.

I dreamt of him again. I have had millions of them, which all began right after the night he had left me. Every one of them ends with him combusting into a pile of ash while Angelus is holding a sharp stake in his hand and smiling deviously. But before the dark vampire uttered another word though, I would wake up and bathing in a deep pool of sweat with a sudden urge to scream at the top of my lungs.

It has been 28,105 days since I have last seen his face…since I have last seen his smile, his cheekbones, his hands, his feet, his hair, and those deep dark pools that I call his eyes…28,105 days. It has felt like an eternity and it will probably be an eternity before I see him in the flesh once again.

There are times when Angelus and I are in the middle of our own little charade that I will picture my lover’s face looking at me. Imagining his voice gasping my name when I touch him, feeling his own hands touching me with need and want like he couldn’t get enough of me. Pretending is the best thing I can ask for. Well, not really…the best thing is him in the flesh.

I am mad at him though…mad at him for leaving me, mad at him for saying those soulful words to me the night he left… and mad at him for making me choose. It didn’t have to turn out this way…we could have just gone back to the way things were before Angelus found out. No, wait, that’s a lie…we couldn’t…Angelus would have just found out again and probably would’ve killed us both. But still, I am angry at Spike and for God knows how long.

When Angelus had woken up from his ‘nap’ that night, he hadn’t been to pleased with me. I can’t remember much of what happened, it all occurred in one huge blur. I was still reeling with the fact that my beloved was gone and for good. I knew that he wasn’t going to change his mind and turn around and come back to me…it wouldn’t be like him, once he had his mind set it would take a long patience and a strong effort to try and change his opinion.

All I do remember is Angelus said that he would be punishing me for what I had done…for betraying him and letting someone else mark me when Angelus had already done so. My punishment, well if you can’t already guess…it would be to give myself to him…without protest.

In the beginning I was stiff and rigid, turning to stone whenever my sire’s hands would touch me but after awhile…that’s when I began to see his face...when I saw Angelus’s dark and looming figure melt into William’s bright and loving one. All I had to do was close my eyes and there he was, making love to me like no one else could, like no one else will.

Shaking my head, I banish all thoughts away from my long gone William towards the large window in my room that faces the luminescent streets of Los Angeles. It is strange being back even though we had only been here for two days already.

The next night after Spike had left, Angelus made Dru and I leave. He said something to the effect of never wanting to be in that house with Spike and mine’s stench all over it. He said that he couldn’t stand it.

So we left…first we stopped in Vegas; Dru wanted to see the pretty lights that she had seen once before in her dreams. The first couple of years were strange; I had to get the feeling of being completely alone. I had to get use to the fact that during the long hours of the day that I would be solitary, staring blankly up at the ceiling while wondering what he was doing and whom he was with.

"Here I go again with the incessant thinking of him…" I mutter underneath my breath with pure annoyance. I try not to think of him sometimes but it is hard. Like I said before, I picture him wherever I go.

I suddenly come with deep urge to drain myself in a large bottle of liquor, to let my past memories float away like yesterday’s news so that I don’t have to remember or reminisce. I hate to remember sometimes, all it does is make my heart ache and make my stomach feel heavy.

A wearied groan sprouts from my mouth as I fall back onto my bed. I let my now dark blonde hair splay out onto my sheets. I close my eyes lightly as I began to dream.

*

I feel a lean body crawl across the bed towards me. I dare not open my eyes because I know that if I do then this dream will go away. He is close now because I can now feel soft hands trace over my face and my neck, discovering my skin with gentle strokes. I suck in a sharp breath as wet kisses trail across my neck and over my still prominent scar. I clutch the sheets of the bed tightly as I try to resist the urge to touch him because I knew that if I did then he might disappear.

"Don’t worry, luv, I will not leave you." He purrs into my ear as if he was reading my thoughts. His deep voice making my whole body shiver.

My eyes snap open as I now stare into the face of my long lost beloved. He still looks the same way he did when I last saw him and that brings a bright smile to my face…nothing has changed.

"But you did…" I whimper slightly as his hand runs down my cheek.

"I’m sorry…" he whispers delicately to me before planting a sweet kiss on my forehead. "I just..."

"Shh…" I shush him, placing my finger over his beautifully made mouth and flash him a small smile. Slowly but surely I brush my lips against his in a virginal lip-lock. Suddenly, his arms wrap around my back and bring me up off the bed so that I am sitting on his lap while he devours me completely. I groan with anticipation as I hook my arms around his slender neck and equally and eagerly kiss him back, which causes me to shut my eyes once again.

Without warning I can feel him suddenly being ripped from my arms. My bright green eyes whip open as I see Angelus there, a flashing stake in his right hand.

"Bitch!" Angelus growls at me before bringing his stake back and…

*

"Nooo!" I shout with fear as I bolt up in bed, sweat now literally flowing down my body. A deep shudder escapes my body and I quickly draw my knees up to my body before wrapping my arms around my legs. "God, no." I whimper with sadness as both my sweat and my salty tears pour down my pale face.

Sometimes I hate the dreams; I hate how they torture me with his face and body before quickly snatching him away from me.

I hate the dreams…

The blonde vampiress let out a heavy sigh as she exited her bleached stained bathroom before heading over to her bed where a leather outfit was waiting for her patiently. A lazy smile appeared on her face as she shrugged on the leather apparel and brightened with pride as it fit her like a second skin.

"Where you going in that?" A rough voice asked her from her doorway. The tone of his voice sounded possessive.

Buffy never turned to look at him as she made her way over towards her wooden oak dresser and hurriedly threw open one of the drawers, and searched through it’s contents.

"Out." She snapped at him tiredly; her eyes came across the piece of jewelry she wanted and eagerly fastened it around her neck.

"I don’t think so!" He growled at her, and stomped over to where she stood before he seized her by the forearms. "You are staying here tonight with Dru and I."

Buffy snorted with disdain as she jerked her body away from his, "yeah, stay here and watch you and Dru hump each other like wild animals. I don’t think so. Doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun to me." She hissed through her teeth before she turned back to her drawers and continued to search through them. She was stopped though when Angelus’s strong and sometimes deadly arms wrapped around her waist, hugging their bodies together.

"Sounds like someone here is jealous." He chuckled deeply, his lips dancing at the rim of her ear.

"Not likely." She hissed back and jerked her body away from him. "Don’t know what fantasy world you are living in. Wouldn’t want to touch you anyways…" She muttered and finally turned around to face him.

Angelus tilted his head to the side as he allowed his eyes to roam up and down her form before taking a deep whiff of the air around her. A sudden bright smile broke out onto his face. "Well, I guess not after you got the job done for yourself." He chuckled at her as he nodded his head over towards the rumpled sheets of her bed, referring to the vampiress’s dream of her long gone lover.

Buffy growled as she shoved at him roughly, sending him staggering back lightly. "Bastard." She cursed, storming over to her closet and retrieved her leather jacket.

"Its kind cute if you ask me." He taunted as he watched her dig through her closet, "sick and perverse but cute."

"Shut the hell up!" She shouted at him, finally finding her jacket and roughly threw it over her shoulders. "You don’t know what you are talking about."

The older vampire growled as he seized her by the shoulders roughly once again, his game face now in place as he stared down at her. "You don’t think I know! You whisper and moan his name in your sleep! You reek of need for him!" A predatory growl escaped the brunette’s throat as he shook her roughly; "I can smell it right now! It is just disgusting."

Buffy’s face seethed in anger as she stomped over towards her sire and smacked him hard across the jaw that sent Angelus to the ground. "I’m going out. Don’t wait up." She hissed at her sire that was still lying on the ground while clutching his jaw. She sent him one last look before heading out into the dark streets of LA.

Buffy closed her eyes as she walked into the pulsating club, reveling in the way its smoke passed along her ageless face. She took in a deep breath before opening her eyes. She could barely hear it…the rhythmical pumping of human blood…it was incredibly faint and almost undetectable. Obviously the place was filled with hundreds of vampires.

Scanning her eyes around the place, Buffy took in the atmosphere and how incredibly inviting it was. The place was covered with black with florescent paint splattered all over the walls in bright colors. There were bright flashing lights flashing on the dance floor and it’s light was bouncing off the vampire couples who were erotically rubbing against one another along with the heavy music. The place smelled of cheap liquor, blood and heavy smoke. It titillated her vampiric senses. Suddenly, that deep feeling for the need of liquor that plagued her stomach last night came back to haunt her. And she was suddenly drawn to the bar, which was tucked into a small corner at the back of the nightclub.

When she had finally got her shot of tequila, the blonde vampiress eagerly brought the inciting liquid to her mouth and guzzled it down. She let a deep and satisfied purr rumble through out her chest and closed her eyes as she felt the sensation of the dangerous liquor burning down her throat, giving her body the sweet release it needed.

As she eagerly ordered another drink, a tingling feeling began to creep up her back. It was something that pulled her greatly, that begged her to turn around, and she did.

Buffy sucked in a deep breath as her dark emerald eyes caught onto a dark figure off into the bright lights of the club.

Darling I'm killed
I'm in a puddle on the floor
Waiting for you to return
Oh what a thrill
Fascination galore
How you tease, how you leave me to burn

He was leaning casually up against a nearby pool table, lazily smoking cigarette as he watched the couples on the dance floor. The blonde vampiress crossed her legs subconsciously while her eyes roamed up his figure. He was dressed all in black; black leather pants and a black over shirt with a black leather duster covering his frame. He had a pale complexion and bright blonde hair that was mussed into several defined curls. Buffy almost flinched when she looked at his face, he had sharp cheekbones that almost resembled her Spike’s and almost jumped at the conclusion that it was he. That Spike had come back to her after so many years. Could this new dark stranger be him?

It's so deadly my dear
The power of having you near
Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say there'll be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Tomorrow never dies

Buffy banished the thought from her mind as she continued to watch this mysterious vampire that had immediately caught her attention. His eyes scanned the crowd and looked at the couples with a smug look on his face as if he owned the place and everyone there. The look in this vampire’s eyes sent a deep shudder to Buffy’s core as thousands of images of she and him together danced through her mind.

Buffy’s eyebrows suddenly furrowed as she watched a slim redhead come up beside her mystery man. The blonde vampiress watched with intrigued eyes.

~*~

Darling you've won, it's no fun
Martinis, girls, and of guns
It's murder on our love affair
But you bet your life every night
While you chase the morning light
You're not the only spy out there

Spike almost jumped when he felt soft hands run across the small of his back. Turning his head the vampire immediately smirked when he saw whom it was.

"Enjoying the party Red?" He asked her with the same smirk planted on his face. A deep chuckle irrupted from his chest as he took a deep drag from his cigarette and observed the redhead as she made her way in front of him. She was wearing a binding black leather corset and matching pants, which left little to the imagination as the cloth hugged her in all the right places.

"Not enough human blood…" She hissed as she took a step towards him, leaving no space in between them and ran a black nail down his chest, making intricate patterns all across his shirt.

"Damn right, pet." He told her as he watched her continuing to draw patterns all across his upper body. "Where’s your boy?"

"Out back…sleeping…I got bored of him." She purred sensually as she buried her face into the crook of his neck, placing small nips and licks across his collarbone. "I could never get bored with you…we could have so much fun…" She whispered huskily against his ear before licking the rim of it, which sent a deep chill down his back.

"That we could, Red." He said as he threw the cigarette down on the ground and crushed it with his boot. "We almost did have fun…that one time…remember?"

The redhead grinned with satisfaction as memories pooled through her mind and subconsciously ran her hands under his shirt and across the skin that lay beneath. "Yes…it was delicious." She rumbled contently, raking her nails down his stomach. "But you had a hard time finishing me, some other girl has Spike’s heart." She notified, looking up into his bright blue eyes. "You can’t let her go? Even after so long?"

"No, I can’t…" He whispered sheepishly as he ducked his head away from her.

"I still want you though…" Willow breathed huskily, taking another step closer to him so that their bodies were molded together.

"I know."

"Well, my offer still stands you know." She smirked at him; brushing her lips against his but still had that lustful promise, which left his lips burning. "If you ever want to forget the girl and go for a little…rough and tumble…" She murmured heavily as she leaned her lips closer to his.

"Get off my girl Spike!" A young voice called out as he yanked Willow away from Spike. The blonde vampire groaned as the moment between him and voluptuous redhead was interrupted. "I told you never to touch her!" The dark brunette growled as his game face shown in the bright lights.

"S’not my fault whelp, learn to please the girl and maybe she wouldn’t need to run to me to satisfy her…" A slight smirk appeared on his face as his eyes roamed up and down Willow’s leather clad figure before looking up at the male vampire, "needs."

It's so deadly my dear
The power of wanting you near
Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say there'll be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Tomorrow never dies

Willow let out a girlish giggle at the look the blonde vampire was giving her but ceased when her mate placed a protective arm on her shoulder. "Oh, don’t worry my Xander…Spike and I were just having some fun…" She chuckled as she turned to look at Xander whose game face quickly melted away when she looked at him. "You know how I like my fun…"

"I know…" He cooed, cupping her cheek with his hand but snatched it away as looked over at the other male vampire, "I just can’t stand him! I bet you that I could take him."

"I doubt it, whelp." Spike added in as he crossed him arms over his chest while observing the vampire couple.

"Why is that?"

"Well I have bested three Slayers in my day, and also-"

"That Faith chick in Sunnydale doesn’t count!" He snapped at the elder vampire, his eyes throwing daggers in Spike’s direction. "She was a literal wreck and didn’t have the strength to fight you…"

"Oh not really my friend. Yes, she was a emotional wreck but god damn the bitch was hard to beat." He growled as he dug through the pockets of his duster and pulled out a cigarette and immediately lit it. "So, she does count." Spike then cocked his head to the side as he observed the male vampire, taking a deep drag from his cigarette.

"Damn cocky prick…" Xander muttered under his breath, thinking that Spike would not hear but was proven wrong when he felt a tight grip wrap around his throat and the feeling of being shoved into a nearby wall.

Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say there'll be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes

"What did you say?" Spike huffed as he shifted into his game face, his face now only inches from Xander’s. When the dark brunette wouldn’t utter a word, Spike slammed him roughly up against the wall again. "Come on Xander, tell me what ya said!" He taunted dangerously, causing several of the other vampires in the club to turn their heads and watch.

"N-n-nothing."

Spike smirked with satisfaction, "thought so…" He snarled at Xander before dropping him to the floor. "Listen whelp, don’t make me kill you…the last guy who said something like that to me, I ripped him inside out. And trust me, I don’t think Red here would like that too much." He warned before turning on his heels to make his way out of the club, pushing people roughly aside.

~*~

Buffy watched her mystery vamp stalk through the crowds with a pissed off look on his face. The slight tingles she had experienced when she was watching him were growing rapidly as she removed herself from her seat at the bar and quickly followed him outside into a dark alley.

"Hey!" She called out after him.

Spike immediately stopped in hiss tracks and shook his head. "Listen, I have had a rough night, so bugger off…" Spike huffed as he turned around to her face but when he did, his jaw immediately dropped, "Oh my God…Buffy…"

Buffy’s eyes widened as she saw her former lover stare right back at her with the same amount of surprise. "Spike…"

Until the day
Until the day
Until the day

Dru let out a childlike gasp as she pointed her finger towards her ceiling. "I can see all the pretty constellations of the stars." She whispered with a delighted look in her dark eyes. "Do you see them?" She asked Angelus curiously, turning her head to look at her sleepy sire.

"No Dru, go to sleep." He growled with annoyance as he flipped onto his stomach and smothered his head in to the feathery confinements of his pillow.

"Oh, but you must see them, Daddy. The stars are very important, they tell me all the secrets of the world." She told him in an upright manner as she traced an outline of the ceiling with her index finger.

"Dru, go to sleep!" He hissed once again with a touch of irritation. She always does this; he ranted in his head while he tried to block out the incessant ramblings of his crazed childe, with her non-stop talking after they screwed one another. "Stop talking!"

Drusilla completely ignored her sire as she continued on blabbering, her dark eyes glued to the ceiling with extreme interest. "They don’t tell me everything though, Daddy." She sighed with a slight tint of sadness in her voice. "They didn’t tell me about Sister and my pretty ocean."

"Don’t talk about them Dru! Go to sleep!" Angelus growled at her once again as he tried to smother himself in the pillow but since he didn’t need to breathe, it was worthless.

"They played a cruel joke on me…mean…mean…mean…!" The dark vampiress purred with venom while she proceeded to gaze up at the ceiling.

"Dru what did I tell you about mentioning them together?" Angelus howled as he quickly grabbed her by the shoulders and began to shake her vigorously. The dark vampiress only whimpered at her sire’s roughness with her.

"Never Daddy, you said never!" She replied in a rush as her sire pulled himself away from her and she settled herself down on the bed before closing her eyes.

They both lay there quietly. Dru’s eyes closed and Angelus staring off into space as pure tension rolled off of his body. Suddenly, Dru let out a startled gasp as she sat up in bed without haste.

"What’s wrong now?" He snarled at his youngest childe whose eyes were now widened with wonder and complete happiness. Drusilla then began to giggle with excitement as she sat there in bed, her dark tousled curls bouncing eerily in the twilight.

Dru snapped her head over towards her sire and looked over him once before she burst out laughing once again. "Puppy’s back home and he is hungry."

Spike furrowed his eyebrows in disbelief as he stared into the face of his former lover and couldn’t help but wonder if she was real. "Buffy?" He asked out loud as his mind began to run with millions of questions.

Buffy took a deep sigh as she stepped forward towards her lover. "William…" She breathed before cocking back her fist and dealt him a hard blow across the nose. Then stood there staring blankly at him.

As soon as Buffy’s fist connected with his nose, Spike rolled back with a sharp howl before clutching his nose tightly as the blood began to flow willingly. "Bloody hell!" He hissed as he held his nose tightly. "What the sodden’ hell was that for!" He cursed at her, sending her a sharp glare.

Buffy shook her head as she just realized what she did. An expression of pure guilt passed over her features. "Oh my God, Spike, I am so sorry. I don’t know…I-I…" She apologized as she planted a delicate hand on his shoulder and turned him to face her. A tingling feeling began to creep into her hand as her skin touched his.

The blonde vampire groaned with ache as he still had his hand up against his nose, wishing the pain and the constant bleeding would stop. He drew his deep blue eyes over towards his past lover and just shook his head. "I understand…I suppose...you know after…" He told her gently as his eyes locked onto hers.

All they could do was stare at one another. Oh God, how it had been too long. Both of them had forgotten how wonderful it was to look at each other in the flesh.

It was then broken though when a sharp stinging sensation shot through Spike’s nose, causing him to wince. "Dammit." He hissed in between his teeth as he brought his hand back to his bruised and possibly broken nose.

"I should fix that for you…" She whispered sincerely as gently touched the tip of his nose with her finger.

"Come on, we can go to my place. S’not far from here." He said as he turned on his heels and sauntered down the dark alley, Buffy falling in step with him immediately.

Her bright eyes watched him with complete interest and awe. He was here. Her Spike was back, walking beside her while he held onto his nose softly. Her heart ached as she watched him. She had missed him terribly. It was deep and pulled at her. Her instant attraction to him in the club before knowing who he was whispered a deep secret to her.

The blonde vampiress was then pulled out of her thoughts though when a cold but comforting hand was placed on her shoulder and stopped Buffy in her tracks. She whipped her body around to face the smirking face of her former lover.

"Goin’ too far there luv," He chuckled at her as he nodded towards the building in front of them. Buffy craned her neck as she looked up at the tall structure. It was about 11 stories tall and built with dark red bricks that darkened in the twilight. All the windows in the construction had heavy draperies hung across them.

"Wow…nice building." Buffy nodded her head as she continued to stare up at the building.

"Yeah…you should see the inside." He then tugged at her hand as he lead her inside. Buffy wrapped her arms around her torso as she stepped inside and felt a cold breeze sweep by her from the air conditioner. "Come on." He beckoned towards her, placing a tender but almost hovering hand on her shoulder. "It’s upstairs, we gotta take the elevator" Spike said as they both stepped inside of the elevator, which the pair rode in silence until they reached the 11th floor when the cold, steel doors easily swooshed open and Spike stepped out.

"Which way?" She asked as he slightly rubbed the bridge of nose, flinching. Buffy felt a pang of guilt pass over her features as she viewed him do this.

"This way…" He mumbled quietly, stepping past her and down towards the end of the hall where a lonely door stood all by itself. When they had reached the door, Spike dug inside his duster pocket and pulled out a small bronze key, slipping it inside the lock. With a heavy sigh he pushed the thin door aside and ushered her inside. "This is my place." He said nonchalantly, shutting the door behind him and placed the key on a nearby table.

Buffy stared at the place with wide eyes. It was beautiful…large and beautiful. Tan colored walls surrounded the place with dark wooden floors that shined with brightness. Leather furniture was strewed through out with bright candles illuminating their brilliance. There was a large entertainment system setting in front of some of the leather household furnishings and tucked off to the side was a small kitchenette that seemed completely bare and another lonely door, which Buffy assumed led to his bedroom.

"Nice…" She breathed as she continued to survey the place and it’s calming nature.

Spike turned to look at her and let a loose smile break out onto his lips. "Thanks." He told her with a gratified nature.

He let out a deep and unneeded breath as their eyes locked. He had forgotten how wonderful her eyes were.  So brilliant, chocolate brown mixing with luscious springtime green. It was just wonderful. He took in a sharp breath though when his own blue orbs traveled over the rest of her body. He hadn’t realized that she had been wearing tight leather. He had never seen her body this way. He had never seen her clad in such tight clothing, which hugged her in all the right places. It caused a tingling response to creep up his spine and then traveled to the rest of his body.

Buffy slightly squirmed underneath his roaming gaze. She hated when he looked at her like that, like she was completely nude and he was just standing there, scrutinizing her entire body. Eventually though, his eyes stopped scanning over her body and finally came back to rest on her eyes. Instead of keeping her eyes locked with his, her hazel orbs traveled towards his purple colored nose and flinched.

"We should fix your nose…" She exhaled slowly, her eyes looking back up at his dark blue ones. "Going all purplish now."

"Right." He nodded as motioned over towards the lonely door that sat on the opposite side of the large living room. "We can fix me up in my room."

They both were silent as they headed into Spike’s room. Just like the rest of his apartment, Buffy thought it was beautiful. Although it was lovely, the bedroom was in direct contrast from everything else. All the walls were painted with a night time black while a deep and inviting blood red comforter and silk sheets decorated his four poster bed that reminded Buffy of memories that were old but still lived fresh within her mind. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and lavender, this caused Buffy’s nostrils widened with appreciation as they tried to take in the smell of Spike’s bedroom. It felt warm and completing relaxing. She felt as if she could spend eternity in the room, just taking in its smell and its comforting warmth.

"You like?" He chortled with amusement, watching her take in the sights and smells of his room. He could tell from the expression on her face that she wanted to spend as much time as she could in here.

"Yeah…" She inhaled heavily, taking in the room’s scent once again and allowed a pleasant and content expression to pass of her bright features. She quickly though shook her head and knocked herself out of whatever trance the room held to her. "We should…you know…fix up your nose…" She stuttered with slight embarrassment, her eyes darting away from his beaming gaze.

"Be right back." And with that he quickly headed into the bathroom that was connected to the room.

As she waited, Buffy wrapped her arms around her torso and made her way towards a nearby oak dresser where she saw several sheets of paper sitting delicately on top of the dark wood. Curiously, she took one of the papers in her hands and almost gasped with what she saw. On the sheet of paper was a detailed sketch of her naked form. It was the night before Halloween…the night before one of the greatest nights of her entire existence. This left a heavy feeling settle on her chest as she remembered what happened that special night. The many time that they shared their affection for one another in the Movie Theater and the graveyard. He still had it? Did she even see him pack it? Well how could she, they were both so angry that night that he probably didn’t even realize what he himself had packed.

"I see you found it." His voice called out to her. Buffy jumped with surprise when she heard his voice enter her inner ear. Whipping her body around, the vampiress saw her former lover look at her shyly as she held the drawing.

Buffy knew if she were human that she would be blushing at that exact moment. "I-I didn’t…uh…know you…uh…kept it." She muttered nervously as she quickly placed the paper back on top of the dark oak bureau before turning back to face him.

"Yeah…well…um…yeah…" He murmured incoherently, quickly moving over towards his bed and sat down.

Buffy exhaled with heaviness, walking over towards the bed and cautiously sat down beside him. "So…how long have you been living in LA?" She asked him somewhat confidently. At least try to seem all controlled and civilized, she told herself internally as she began to tend to his wounded nose. Don’t want to him to notice how weak in the knees he made me when I saw him for the first time in 77 years.

A small hiss escaped from Spike’s throat as the blonde vampiress tended to his injury. "For a while now. Actually spent sometime on the Hellmouth before I came here."

Buffy’s hand wrenched away from his face as she processed what he said. "You lived on the Hellmouth? You crazy or something?"

"No." He chortled as he cocked his head to the side and observed her with interest. "Not crazy, trust me. There was a Slayer there and all…thought I would have a go with her."

Buffy smirked as she continued to mend his nose. "Knew I smelt the blood of a Slayer on you."

"Two actually…" He whispered with pride as he ducked his eyes away from hers.

Buffy’s eyes widened with astonishment as she took in the news he had delivered to her. "Wow…"

"Yeah…the first one s’where I got the jacket." He told her as he nodded towards the duster, which was draped casually over the counter in his bathroom.

"Always got to have a trophy…" She told him in a light playful tone, dabbing his nose with a wet rag with one hand while her other one had subconsciously moved on to his thigh.

"Yep…got this one from the last Slayer." He then pulled away from the gentle hand on his nose as he unbuttoned the first two buttons on his shirt and pulled back the right side of the shirt to reveal a nasty scar dragged across his collarbone. "Didn’t know the bird had a knife with ‘er."

The blonde vampiress expelled a painful wheeze, observing the jagged scar with sympathy. "Nasty." She commented her hand almost tempted to trace the carnal wound that danced on his skin and almost over the mark she had given him forever ago.

"Yeah and it hurt like hell." He shook his head with a slight smile on his face, memories of the rainy night pooling through his head. He remembered the shocked look on the young brunette’s face as he turned her own knife on her before stabbing her in the gut. He remembered the moans of pain and pleasure he received from her mouth as he drunk her dry. He quickly jarred his bleached blonde head, causing the memories to fade away with immense reluctance. "What about you though? Where have you, the nutcase and the Poofter been?"

"Well," She began as she hurriedly went back to fixing his nose as the purplish tint that it had before began to fade away and was now turning back into it’s original color. "We stayed in Las Vegas for a couple of years. That so called ‘nutcase’ as you referred to wanted to see the pretty lights for some reason. I forget…" She mumbled, grasping his nose. "This might hurt."

"Go for it." He nodded as she immediately popped his nose back into place. A cry of pain expelled from his mouth as the pain shot through his face.

"Shh…" Buffy calmed him, the hand that had remained on his thigh was now rubbing small but deep circles on his leather clad leg. Her eyes briefly flickered, enjoying the feel of the leather underneath her hand. "It’s okay." She whispered comfortingly, inching closer to him on the bed while her hand continued to rub the deep circles on his thigh.

A small whimper escaped from his throat when he felt one of Buffy’s small yet powerful hands run up the length of his arm and towards his neck.

"I’m okay." He muffled with reassurance, his azure colored orbs drifting up to meet her hazel ones and let a concentrated and unneeded breath escape from his mouth.

He slightly furrowed his eyebrows though when he felt her hand as it glided up and down his leg. But the look fully faded away when he realized how marvelous it felt, that tingling sensation he had been feeling early when they had first entered his apartment now returned to his lean frame with full force. It grew tremendously though when he looked back up into her face and saw the pleasured appearance of her ageless visage.

"Buffy…" he suddenly gasped when she inched even closer to him. God, did he want her.

The blonde vampire got his wish though when Buffy cautiously drew her face towards him as she pressed a light kiss on his lips. It was soft and almost feather like, just an innocent brush of mouths, nothing more. Spike wouldn’t have it though, so once they had pulled away from one another he kissed her more fully on the mouth. Letting their mouths move against one another in slow motion. After a while ago though, Spike slowly felt the slight brush of Buffy’s tongue with his. A deep purr thundering from his chest when they did.

Wanting to taste more of her, the male vampire moved his mouth down the curve of her chin and towards the crook of her neck where her throat met with her collarbone, where his mark still lingered. Letting his eyelids slide shut, he took in a deep breath, wanting to smell his scent mixed with hers on her milky skin but he didn’t. He smelt…

"Angelus!" The vampire growled as he snapped his lips away from her skin. A whimper coming from Buffy due to the loss of contact with him. When she had heard her sire’s name, the blonde vampiress’s eyes flew open and stared at her former lover who had a shocked expression on his face.

"What?" She questioned with puzzlement, staring into his aghast face. His usually bright blue eyes where now clouded with black.

"The Poofter…I can smell him on you…" He choked as he distanced himself from her, quickly removing himself from the bed and stood by the heavily draped window.

"Spike, I can—’’

The blonde vampire shook his head, taking a desperate step backwards until he was right up against the window. His blue orbs were wide with complete shock and disbelief. "How could you do it? How could you—?"

"He made me Spike!" She shouted as she jumped to her feet and stared hard at him. "It was punishment for what we did together! He said he would fu—’’

"How can he make you do something Buffy!" Spike asked out of desperation, his hands running vigorously through his hair out of pure frustration. "You don’t have to—’’

"You left me! I had no other choice but to let him!" She ground through her teeth, her arms flailing in the air with anger and rage, with something she had been holding in for so long.

Spike’s face snapped into pure disgust and angst, shaking his head at her, "oh, don’t throw that in my face! You could have come with me. All you would have to say is—’’

"Well you could have mentioned something to me!"

"When? You were leaving in such a hurry for me to say anything!"

Spike shook his head at his former love, also placing his hands on his hips challengingly. "I gave you enough time, Buffy." He told her sharply. "Guess you were too busy shagging the Poofter!"

A primal growl echoed through out the room as Spike drew back his fist and slammed it through a nearby wall. When he realized what he had done, the blonde vampire immediately snatched his fist out of the wall. A hiss of pain escaped from his lips while he watched his own crimson blood flow down his knuckles.

"Shit."
