When Buffy absorbs the blood of a mouthless, telepathic demon in "Earshot," she acquires its telepathic ability and can read the minds of those around her, thus confirming what Giles (and later Angel) refers to as "aspect of the demon": the hypothesis that certain demons can "infect" those they come in contact with their particular powers.
