Sam Finn appears only once in "As You Were" (6015). The wife of Riley Finn, she is a fellow military demon hunter (and former Peace Corps volunteer) whom Riley met in South America after leaving Sunnydale. Riley and Sam appear in Sunnydale in pursuit of a viciously lethal and rare Suvoltes demon, whose eggs are being sold locally on the black market.

Although everyone is ready to hate her, Sam becomes friendly with the Scooby Gang, especially Willow, who Sam admires for trying to overcome her addiction to magic.
