CALEB (Nathan Fillion). BtVS Demon/Monster/Villain.

An evil preacher with a southern accent--he refers to time spent in Knoxville, Tennessee--from the end of the seventh season. He works for the First Evil, gaining power and strength working to support its goals. Obsessively misogynistic, a representation of his disdain for the dirtiness of all humanity, Caleb stands as both a rejection of Christian orthodoxy and a representation of its darkest potential. He quotes from the Bible on a regular basis, often while inflicting pain on those who stand in the way of ultimate evil.

Caleb first appears in “Dirty Girls” and only survives for five episodes, before Buffy kills him. In that time, however, he does significant damage to Buffy and her friends—killing several SITS and blinding Xander in his left eye. He works through the first to cause as much destruction and chaos as possible. In "Chosen" Buffy cuts him in half ("He had to split") with her magical scythe.
