Buffy Scholar/Critic
Dr. Bronwen Calvert recently received her Ph.D. at the University of East Anglia. She works in Newcastle upon Tyne as a Visiting Lecturer at the Centre for Lifelong Learning run by Sunderland University, and is an Associate Lecturer at the Open University. Her PhD thesis, Virtual Bodies: Technology and Embodiment in Cyberpunk Fiction, focused on feminist reinterpretations of cyberpunk fiction. Bronwen’s current research interests, in addition to BtVS, include contemporary science fiction, feminist science fiction of the 1970s, and Canadian literature. She has publications forthcoming on cyborg utopia and feminist cyberpunk. |
