Buffy Scholar/Critic

Dr. Agnes Curry earned her Ph.D. in philosophy at Fordham University, writing on Maurice Merleau-Ponty and feminism, and is currently Assistant Professor and Chair of the philosophy department at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. Her research and teaching interests span Ancient-Medieval philosophy to philosophy of race. She has written on Derrida and Hospitality, Luce Irigaray and A. T. Tymieniecka, and American Indian philosophy. (Her next Buffy paper might be on the rather striking obliteration of American Indian history from the Buffyverse in Season Seven.)
