Claire Fossey holds an MA in History of Art from the University of Victoria, completing a thesis in 2001 entitled "Rangda Revisited: Pluralizing Euramerican Stereotypes of Bali's Queen of the Witches." She has also pursued studies in Russian literature and cinema. She is currently working as a freelance writer.
