Buffy Scholar/Critic
Dr.
Jasmine Hall, aside from being the Big Bad on Angel Season 4, is a Professor in English and
Women's Studies at Elms College, Chicopee, MA, where she coordinates the women studies minor. Her fields of interest are Victorian and modern British fiction, literary criticism, and popular culture. She has published and presented papers in
Dickens Studies Annual and Studies in Short Fiction, as well as in collections on Victorian literature and detective
fiction and presented papers and published articles on a number of subjects in popular culture, including
pieces on television, detective fiction, science fiction, and horror (Dracula, in particular).
Buffy has seduced her into full geekdom (or should that be geekhood), and
she attended her first fan convention last year (Moonlight Rising 2003).
